Approval Process by using Sales Stage

Hello all,
I have a requirement and my question iis there any process in OCOD for approval process? i mean if my Sales stage is Initial somebody needs to approve and it keep on moving to Closed/Won or Closed loss by the approval of manager. The highest is the Manager level and the lowest is Sales rep, in between lot of people are involved like BDM, AGM and so on. Could you please suggest on this.
Thanks
Subbu

Bob,
The documents relates to the Service Request object.
We need the same to be done for Opportunities.
The process may include workflow notifications.
I see a couple of fields related to Approver and Approval Status but have not looked into how the same works.
Thanks and Regards.,

  • Approval process - 2 users in stage

    Dear all,
    Question about the approval process.
I have a stage where 2 users can approve, but only one is required
It works fine when they approve document. As soon as one user approve, the originator user receive alert and can create the document.
However when they want not to approve , the system ask for both user to not approve the request before changing the status of the request from pending to rejected and sending the alert to the user.
If only one say no, the status remains pending, and an action of the second user is required to make the system change the status.
Why to approve, only one is required, and to reject, both are required? is there a way to have the same process in approval than in reject ?
    Thank you
    Sébastien

    Dear Sébastien,
This is in the initial design of this process. We can do nothing about it.
You may post a DRQ here http://forums.sdn.sap.com/forum.jspa?forumID=265 or on Idea Place for this request.
    Thanks,

  • Approval process creation steps using JDeveloper in OIM 11g R2

    Hi,
Please help me to create approval process creation using JDeveloper and how to use the approval process in OIM provision in OIM 11g R2.
    Thanks in Advace,
    srini

refer developer's guide to get the detailed steps. http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E27559_01/dev.1112/e27150/request.htm#BABFFJDH
    Also refer OBE tutorial http://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/obe/fmw/oim/oim_11g/Custom_Approval_Process_for_Resource_Request/custom_approval_process_for_resource_provision.htm#t3
There will be slight changes in the steps as this OBE is for 11gR1.
    High level steps:
Create a new application using the following command
    ant -f <OIM_HOME>/server/workflows/new-workflow/new_project.xml.
It will be created in OIM_HOME/workflows/new-workflow/process-template/ directory
Openthe .jws file in jdeveloper and edit the default human task and add whatever logic is needed.
Then deploy the composite after which you need to create an approval policy and link the SOA composite created

  • Removing Sales Stages under Opportunity

    Hi,
I'm currently customizing in Oracle CRM on Demand. In the lay-out screen of Opportunities I want to remove (or edit) the field "Sales stage" because the company I'm working for uses different ones than the standard CRM on Demand ones. But when I want to remove Sales Stage from the Field Layout Screen I receive an error that says that it is a required field and that I’m unable to delete it. When I check out the status at the Field Setup it confirms the required status but because it is grayed out I can't make it "Unrequiered". Unfortunately I’m also unable to edit the pick list behind it. So basically I’m stuck with a useless field that I can't get rid of.
    Any solution for my problem?
    Kind Regards

    Hello,
My understanding is you want to change the name of sales stages. There are some limitations on closed/won and closed/loss except this all stages are editable and you can insert new stages also.
Please follow the below steps :
Admin--> Business process--> data rules & Assignment--> Sales process--> Default sales process-->clik on sales stage and rename it.
    Good luck
    Cheers

  • To use Sales Return

    Dear Gurus,
Our client want to use sales return again into prodution,
Example : If  Soap is sales return, they want to use in
production again, by crushing soap, under same BOM header.
Can we use same soap as component with other componets  as recurrsive component, wat it affect on cosing.
wat will be the possible things in SAP,
Here they r not using Rework process,
Wat r the process to use sales returns.
    Pls Give valuable inputs,
    Regards
    Hrishi.

    Hi,
Without putting the Sales Returns directly to the BOM, try with changing the Material with little extension..
Say your FERT is XYZ, then for sales returns change the Material to XYZ_R (with stock transfer from MAterial to Material)..
Now Use this Material in your Satndard BOMs with some %, say you use this sales returns 10%.
Proportinately you can have this material as BOM Component..
Hope this will halp in defining a new process in your Plant..
    Hope this helps..

  • How to use a pwa group in CREATE A TASK PROCESS in SPD 2013 for project server workflow approval process

I am working on a Project Server 2013 workflow. I am creating this using Sharepoint Designer 2013. In this workflow I am using approval process at one stage. I have created a security group SalesManagers in PWA. I want to use this group for workflow approval
process. I want all users of this group get approval tasks.
For this I used START A TASK PROCESS activity in the SP Designer. I clicked on
this user and created task process. But here I could not find SalesManager group which I created in PWA. I was only able to find the users. I can also see
Administrators for PWA . But couldnot find SalesManager or any other security group created in pwa.
Can anyone suggest how I can get the security group created in pwa.

    NBDevelopment,
I believe SPD only recognizes the SharePoint Groups and not the project server security groups.
The Administrators for PWA, and few other groups like Project Managers for PWA etc., are synced SharePoint Groups with the security groups, which is why they show up in SPD.
You could create a SharePoint Group for the Sales Managers group and use that in SPD.

  • BRM Approval Process and MSMP Stage Configuration Problems!

    G'Day All,
I've raised a question in the following blog but it got to a stage where it is not related to the original post anymore. So I would like to draw upon your collective knowledge and appreciate it if you all can jump in and help me out here.
    http://scn.sap.com/thread/3555700
So this is where I'm at this point:
Why use two kinds of Approvals in BRM Role Generation?
Role Content Approval - Through BRF+ Condition
MSMP Approval - Role Owner etc
It seems redundant to have two approvals for pretty much the same thing. I believe in both cases (I am guessing) the Approver would be the same person, approving precisely the same thing. So why not have just one?
Is there a way I can tie up the BRF+ Approver Rule I created, with an 'Agent Rule' in MSMP so I can use the conditions defined to dictate who the request should go to.
    For Example:
Condition1: Then Request should go to Approver1
Condition2: Then Request should go to Approver 2
    * These Conditions are defined in BRF+ Approver Rule and linked in IMG and 'Role Owners' in NWBC.
Alternatively, I tried creating an Initiator Rule from scratch for SAP_GRAC_ROLE_APPR Process ID, using BRF+ with the exact same conditions and everything seems to be OK except the Configuration ID part in Stages. Screen shots of my MSMP WF is as follows:
    Step 1: Process ID
    Step 2: Maintain Rules
    Step 3: Mantain Agents
    Step 5: Maintain Paths
    Step 6: Route Mapping
I have encountered errors while generating the WF, which are as follows:
I tried defining my own configuration ID for Stage 1:
So I tried changing the name of the config ID thinking maybe there is a particular naming convention I have to follow:
Next I tried using the default configuration ID and link my Agent ID to it:
So I would appreciate it if any of you could tell me what on earth is happening as I never had this problem with my other Initiator Rules. Is there a particular 'Naming Convention' for stage config IDs or can I give anything as long as they start with a Z/Y/X?
    Regards,
    Leo..

    Hiya Colleen,
For each path did you go into the Stage Settings of the Step?
No I haven't as at this point my focus is on testing the WF, so I haven't really mucked around with any settings. So let me know if there is something I need to do in Stage Settings please.
By the way, the default approval is useful if you are actually using the SAP delivered Agent Rule for roel Owner.
Thank You.I gathered that from my problem.
Are you splitting the intiator rule as you want to send the request to different approvers or because you want to do different approval steps? If the first scenario (different approvers) you could just use the BRF+ rule to set the approvers. But if you want the different levels of approval then the MSMP would be used.
I only created this Initiator Rule because I wasn't sure how to Integrate my Approver Rule created in BRF+ with MSMP WF. My intention is to send the approval to its intended Approver based on the defined Condition. So I believe BRF+ will take care of this as long as long as the 'SAP delivered Agent Rule for Role Owner' is used (as pointed out by you earlier).
Another thing - for the initiator rule you have covered Single Role Sensitive and Non Sensitive but do you have any other Roles? If so, you have not factored them in.
Again at this point I am just testing and trying to learn how to integrate BRF+ into Role Methodology Process, so I just picked Single Roles.
    Regards,
    Leo..

  • In sales stage combobox how to display the step of the process coach

On the business talk page, in sales stage combobox how to display the step of the process coach and can be selected, not only sale stage?
    thank you.

For example, in salesprocess list, there are SystemSaleProcess, RenewalSalesProcess and DefaultSalesProcess.
And SystemSaleProcess includes grasp of the situation, the first proposal, estimate submitting, the second proposal 4 salesstages.
And grasp of the situation, including needs confirmation, background of the case confirmed, current problem confirmation, schedule and estimate confirmations, current system configuration confirmation 5 steps.
Now in deal page, the deal type selected SystemSaleProcess, the salesstage is grasp of the situation, the first proposal, estimate submitting, the second proposal 4 salesstage can be selected in the salesstage drop-down box.
But if want to choose more than salesstage, would like to choose needs confirmation, background of the case confirmed, current problem confirmation, schedule and estimate confirmations, current system configuration confirmation 5 steps in the salesstage drop-down box, then how to do it?
    thank you.

  • Using WF WS14000133 and WS14500015 in same approval process

    Dear WF-Experts,
we want to use the WF WS14000133 and WS14500015 in same approval process in BAdi "Determination of Approver for n-Step Dynamic Approval Workflow".
    For Example:
    - Shopping cart with 3 items and total value 1000,. EUR
    - first approval step financial for complete shopping cart cause total value
    - second approval step for item 1 and 3 cause cost center
    - not seperate approval for position 2
    - third and final approval step for complete shopping cart cause total value
    Thank you for your support
    Best regards
    Heinz-Georg

For one approval process you can use only one workflow. But as you want some steps for the complete shopping cart and others on line item, use the line item approval. If you want to do the approval on "header" level just make sure all the items get the same approval object guid. That way all the items are assigned to the same approver and in that way you have a "header" approval.
I used this for a similar requirement and it works fine.
    Regards,
    Martin

  • Multilevel dynamic approval process using precondition loop block

    HI,
I am trying to create a multivel dynamic approval process using a precondition loop block. The structure of my process is,
Process->1)Sequential Block containing requestor action->processor of requestor action is initiator
                2)Precondition Loop Block containing
i)Loop Decision action containing a business logic callable object
ii)Loop Body Block containing Approver action-processor of approver action is filled from context parameter
The loop decision action implements the logic for loop decision. Can anybody help me by suggesting the proper target of each of these actions, and the processor for loop decision action?
Whenever I am initiating the process, the requestor action is getting executed,  On completion of this action I am getting a message "No activity is currently selected", that is, it is not entering the precondition loop block.
Please guide me with the proper process flow of this and how to adjust the roles and parameters
    Thanks,

  • Approval Process in SSHR using Approval Management

Could any one suggest for the below mentioned issue ?
I have set up the approval process using approval management. But when I tried to test the approval process in both the ways ('Create a test transaction' and 'View a real transaction's approval process), I am receiving different error messages.
    1. if I test by using 'View a real transaction's approval process'
receiving the error message saying "ORA-20001: The attribute TRANSACTION_REQUESTOR_PERSON_ID probably has an invalid query string. The attribute caused the following exception:
    -972
    ORA-00972: identifier is too long"
    2. if I test by using 'create a test creation' receiving error message as "ORA-20001: Casey Browning (Browning, Doctor Casey) lacks a supervisor, so OAM cannot complete the chain of authority for the transaction"
What am i missing in the setups ?
which way is the recommended way to test the process ?
    Your response is more appreciated.
    Regards
    Jhansi

    For you to test Approvals, you have to setup a number of things;
    1. Supervisor Hierarchy (If using that as hierarchy)
    2. Job Levels (If using Job-level approvals)
    3. New rules for SSHR functions.
The getApprStartingPointPersonId function returns the starting point person ID for the transaction in the HR_API_TRANSACTIONS table. It uses that to traverse the supervisor hierarchy based on the approval.
    Hope this helps.

  • Approach to create a generic Approval process using SOA human workflow ?

    Hello Experts,
I'm looking to create a generic approval process using oracle soa human workflow component using JDev 11.1.1.5
Have about 7-8 existing applications which do some kind of 'approval' . So need to create a generic solution for all 7-8 applications, instead of users logging into 7-8 different applications to approve by logging into different systems. Just want to have like a 'one stop shop' , where i can just go and approve for any application without having to log into separate applications.
I'm looking to get some suggestions and ideas, on how I can achieve this functionality ... Any suggestions/ideas are appreciated .
    Thanks a lot.

    Hello,
you can find multiple sample on the web like those
    http://www.splessons.com/2013/12/create-state-machine-workflow-in-sharepoint-2013-using-visual-studio-2012/
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee231606.aspx
    I don't think that's very different using VS2013 or VS2012

  • Developing Balckberry Approval process using WAPI's

    Hi All,
I'm very new to world of workflow handling.
I have a requirement in Blackberry Approval process.
One of our client is currently using SAP Workflowto send PR items via Outlook to the approver of these PRs. The approver then gets an email which contains a link to the Portal where he/she approves or rejects the PR.
Now, along with the email to the approver, the approver should also get the PRs on his/her Blackberry and should be able to approve or reject the PRs from the Blackberry Device itself.
The UIs for blackberry haveto be developed using webdynpro for Java.
I need to know how do I link the blackberry webdynpro application to workflow?
How do I get the WorkItems to the blackberry device?
I would be grateful if anybody could guide me in this. Overview of steps to be followed is also welcome, I'll explore on the individual steps.
    Thanks and regards.

  • Using Sales Order Approval in B1 does not Synch Orders

    Hello everyone,
I have a customer who uses Sales Order Approvals within Business One for Over Credit Limit.  Those that go through this process, never get sent to WebTools and then later cause the error that in the Synch Manager that you Can not synch the Delivery Document#xxxx because the order does not exist, or something to that effect.  Then I simply add the Order to the Transaction Queue and all goes through fine.  Has anyone seen this occur in their environment and if so, what was the resolution?
Thanks so much for your help!
    Kristen

    Kristen,
Ironically after my last post I have just hit this in a live situation with 65,000 deliveries not synching.
Have you a resolution to this and have you needed to deal with a large number of transactions, if so how?
I am wondering what the implications of unticking Delivery Documents in the synch manager settings has on this issue and also the impact on the loss of functionality in Webtools for the user

  • Approval Process Completion Conditions for different stages

    Hi
I have an approval process with 2 stages. The first stage has multiple approvers running in parallel. Only one user needs to approve for it to progress.
In the second stage it needs to be approved by all users.
I can set the completion conditions to complete after one person approves but this will also set it for the second stage.
Is it possible to have different completion conditions for each stage or im i better just having a second approval proccess action?
Hope that makes sense and thanks

    Hi,
According to your post, what do you mean “you have an approval process with 2 stages”?
In SharePoint 2013 workflow, a workflow can add many stages into it, and a stage can add many same or different actions into it.
So, each separate action you added in a workflow must be in a stage, will not be in two stages.
If you want to make the workflow complete when one user approved the task process in a stage, I recommend that you can directly set the “Completion Criteria” option to “Wait for specific response” as below in the “Task Option” of the “Start a Task Process”
    action.
If you want to make the workflow go to the second task process in the second stage when one user approved the task process in the first stage, I recommend that you can set the “Completion Criteria” option to “Wait for specific response” as below in the “Task
Option” of the “Start a Task Process” action in the first stage.
Then, you can set the “Completion Criteria” option to “Wait for all response” as below in the “Task Option” of the “Start a Task Process” action in the second stage.
And, you can go to “Start Options” to check “Start workflow automatically when an item is created”, publish the workflow and test whether it works in your environment.
The workflow is shown as below:
