AR Invoice Print - Print on Preprinted stationary with Line comments & more

Hi All,
I have a requirement to print a report in XMLP for AR Invoice Print.
Requirement
For Template Body - Line Items
Line 1-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Line 2-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Line 3-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------<LINE COMMENT>----------------------This will be line :4
Line 5-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Line 6-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Line 7-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------<LINE COMMENT WITH 2 LINES - So the 2nd line will wrap >-----This will be line :8 and 9
Line 10-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Display 10 lines per page
2. If there are Line comments for the particular line description then print the line comment in the next line as shown above - So it starts from the begin of the first column and prints till the last column of that particular row
3. If there are more than say 100-200 characters of text then the Line comments will wrap to the next line
4. Maintain the size of the frame size (or display 10 lines per page)
I have already implemented 10 lines per page, which is not at all any issue, but in case there are line comments then it does not count that row. Also if the line comments wrap to 2 or more lines then it is still more complicated.
Does anyone have a solution to this issue. Also, if any of you have implemented this earlier, kindly let me know if you can share the template for reference.
Thanks and appreciate all your suggestions.

Hi,
Was anybody able to an answer to this issue? I have the same requirement where I have multiple subgroups under main group. To print a fixed number of lines in the template is causing an issue.
Thanks,
Sandeep

  • This additional info printing on the preprinted stationary on One printer &

    Hi,
I am using smartform to print info on the preprinted stationary.
The info to be printed is coming fine, But it is printing additional info like Job Name and User name (Login name) on the top left hand side of the pre-printed stationary when we use "HP Jetdirect print server".
The same does not happen when i choose Epson printer as the Front end printer.
To check if this has got some thing to do with the printer settings, When i print a Word Document to the same printer "HP Jetdirect print server". It does not print the additional info ( job name , user name ).
So please let me know what could be the reason for this additional info printing on the preprinted stationary on One printer & Not on other printer.
    Regards,
    Siva

Have your Basis look into the Printer initialization code in the transaction SPAD. This code is linked to the output device and paper format type, so it is possible that the same printer works differently with different paper media.
Also have them check if there is a cover page. Although it would print as a separate page, I believe...
If you don't want to wait for Basis guys, see here how to get to the printer initialization code (you'll need access to SPAD though):

  • Excise invoice printing is required in preprinted stationary format.

    Dear All,
I developed a new program & script for excise invoice printing. The requirement is as under: Page layout will be such where 10 line items( as maintained in billing document) can be printed in each page i.e. if billing document have 25 line items (including Finished goods & accessories) , so it should be printed in 3 pages. In each pages,  page no should be printed first, then consignee address, customer address, Date, SO number, Tin no etc. Those above details should come in header portion of each page. Then first 10 line items can be printed. If there are more line items, then next 10 items get printed in next page & so on. In the very last page only assessable amount, Tax, VAT, Educes amt & Gross amt along with Excise number, removal time, type if invoice, payment mode etc (in footer section) should be printed. If billing document have only 10 line items, it will be printed in a single page.
I have declared First page & next page only. In each page I have declared required page window according to window size of preprinted stationary format. For that I have used DINA4 page format( size 210 / 297 MM). But actual height of stationary format is 12 inch ( 305 MM).
In print preview it is displaying supereb. All required data is being displayed properly. But when I am taking printout from Dot-matrix printer, from second page onwards it start printing two lines prior to actual position (two lines going up).
I did some permutation to adjust it. But I can not find a proper resolution to it. My thinking is that it is only printer setting problem. Also in PC level in printer setting I used custom paper size declaring actual paper width & height.
Please advise whether it is script/ program problem or printer setting problem.
    Regards
    Srimanta

    Dear Bapujee/Santosh/Srimanta,
I know this is a very peculiar problem. Actually the SAP paper size definations are over-ruled by spool server's print manager's defination i.e. the setting of the PC's finally works.
Simple solution is create a paper size in the PC and set the printer with the new paper size.
Now, you will encounter another problem. The user may using the printer for other paper size printings also. To avoid the changing of PC's paper size every time the user prints different size, you can adopt this :
In the spool server (i.e. the PC with printer), create different printers with required paper size and name this printer with some meaniful names. Now, in R/3, while printing with LOCL output device the user can select the required printer.
This can be done for network printers also.
    All the best.
    With Regards,
    Abhijeet.

  • R12 - check printing : How to set RTF template for preprinted stationary

    Hi all,
We are on R12 instance and have requirement of check printing on preprinted stationary. For this requirement we are customizing standard RTF template.
Preprinted stationary layout is like upper part ( check nmber, check date) then body part ( invoices details ) and then trailer part ( check amount, supplier name)
Problem: When I am printing check against only one invoice then print is coming properly but if I print check against more than one invoice then trailer part (check amount, supplier name) is moving forward. I want trailer part to be fixed on same position.
If anyone have already done this please guide me.
    Thanks n advance,

  • Purchase order form printing is required in preprinted stationary format

    Dear All,
I need one VERY URGENT HELP from you.
Client wants to do printing Purchase order form in preprinted stationary format i.e. using this format they want to print PO document only for certain variable fields each time in our Laser printer, but some fields (which are already) lying will not be printed. (But in the PDF Download of the form for each document number all the fields must appear).
Could you please guide me what are the sequential steps need to be followed, where & how in order to incorporate "preprinted stationary format" scenario in my
Purchase order form. Also, if possible, please tell me in brief what is the meaning of preprinted stationary format & why we are using it / purpose of it.
Awaiting your favorable reply at the earliest.
FYI. Anyways, I have convinced Client that we will provide PDF attachment of form only to them, not Excel attachment. Thanks very much for encouraging me.
    Thanks & Regards
    Sudipta

    Hi,
Thank you for your valuable input.
Please tell me what should be my approach i.e. sequential steps need to be followed & where ( with the related configuration / settings changes, necessary coding changes & where, if possible, please send me one realtime scenario and its related documentation related to my concerned issues at the earliest as it will be very beneficial for mine. I have come across this scenario for the 1st time. Kindly guide me with your documents) in order the incorporate the below requirement:
After modication of standard Purchase order form using SAPSCRIPT I / Client want to download it into PDF attachment individually corresponding to each PO number. In this PDF attachment all the fields will appear.
But when I / Client will take Printout of this modified PO form (say for example ZMEDRUCK) only certain important information / certain field values will be getting printed, not all.
User will be able to give ranges of PO document numbers for printing at a time based on their requirement, here all documents as specified by the user will be getting printed at a time, but one document printout followed by another document printout , and so on.
We want to print PO sapscript form in "Print output" only. Also, please guide me how many & which output types, message type etc we need to configure & how for the above requirement ( i.e. download of the ZMEDRUCK form into PDF with its all the fields values + printing this ZMEDRUCK form for printing certain important information using "preprinted stationary format".)
FYI. We are using Laser Printer for printing SAPSCRIPT forms.
Awaiting your valuable fruitful feedback with necessary documents at the earliest.
    Thanks a lot.
Have a very nice time ahead.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Invoice Printing (AR) in rel 12 with duplex printing

    Hello,
I am working on an invoice RTF and I need to print a price list on the back of the Invoice.
This price list is not static as prices can keep changing and I'll get them from a query (Query the INV module).
I've seen Tim Dexter's blog on printing T&Cs on the back
but in his case T&Cs are a static page. If you have any examples of duplex printing with a database query being
the source of information on the back of the page, I'd really appreciate it.
I need to demo this functionality to end users during UAT next week so I'm in a bit of time crunch here...
    Thanks again.

    [email protected]

    Hi Guys,
Could you please help answer this question?
I've been trying to print a price list (Coming from a database query in Advanced Pricing module) on the back of my invoice. I've created Data definition and template for this query and registered it as a sub template.
An Oracle report was created as a source for the xml to build the sub-template.
But when I call this sub template in my main template (Invoice), all I see
are the headings. No Price list data is printed.
Even then, when I print the report from EBS, I still get one-sided print outs.
Do I need to do anything on the Printer side to get a two sided document?
If any one has done the two-sided printing, I'd be more than happy to share my RTF, XML and RDFs for main template (Invoice) and Sub-template (Price List) with them.

  • Printing on Preprinted form with EPSON LQ300 & EPSON LQ500 dot matrix print

    Dear Expert,
im having requirement to print form on preprinted page whose size is 6*9 inches which is smaller than A4 size paper and using EPSON LQ300 & EPSON LQ500 dot mattrix printer. my question is that
1)do i need to create diff.  o/p type for diff printer?
    2) also do i need to create page format with 6*9 inches lenghth or what?
if is it so will this thing be created by BASIS person?

When it's continuous paper, the printer is not able to detect "pages", so it must rely on paper dimensions you transmit.
So, you must define new Z device type, Z format type and Z page format with these dimensions.
For this device type, you must assign the Z format type and define "printer initialization" action by indicating paper length (you may copy the actions of an existing continuous format type like INCH11, for the device type you use, and adapt it). For example, we find the following "printer initialization" action for EPESCP/INCH11:
    # set page length to 11 inch (=66 lines at 6 LPI)
    \e\0x43\0x42

  • Check printing, with line item

    Frnds
i posted almost 20 invoices for one vendor and tried to pay this vendor, when i ran the payment program, it paid all the line items but as it could not hold all the 20 items on one statement, so it printed only 14 line items and voided first check and then at the bottom of the first statement, it says Balance carry forward and it printed all the remaining 6 iline items with the balance carry forward on the second statement and printed valid check with total amount of all the 20 lin items.
so is there anyway whr i can change the settings and can put all the 20 line items on the one statement and will print only one valid check with the total of 20 line items, rather than splitting it in a two statement?
    please reply asap
    thanks

    peter
i checked the box "dont void any checks", eventhough having this settings it voided the checks and just put 14 line items and rest it put it on next pages.
I dont know whr do we do this settings, it looks like something in Forms?
please reply, if you get something
    thanks

    chakri

    Dear Chakri,
I doesn't under stand clearly about your requirement.
As per my under standing about your requirement !
Do You want to maintain the invoice number range must be 10 digits ?
Then you can go to number range maintanence through VN01 transaction maintain the number range for the billing documents with 10 digits.
Same thing you can capyure in to the output of the invoice through script or smart form with the help of ABAPer.
I hope this will help you,

    Oh..Yes. It worked. !!
Thanks Jack for your inputs, that helped a lot.
The issue was not with the printer, but that the PDF document itself was a secured PDF document.
I tried copying the document from my pc to mac and tried to open the document and what i saw was exactly what got printed earlier in my first post.  Tried attaching to my email and when downloaded, the document had just those text that got printed (also pasted below).
Finally got it working when directly printed from the pc over wireless(or wired). Looks good now .

  • Can't print to Epson TM-U590 Slip Printer from Report Generation Toolkit with LabVIEW 8.6.1

    Hi all,
I have an application that uses the Report Generation Toolkit to print tickets to a docket printer.  Usually this works fine - I have 8 existing installations where there are no problems
I'm currently installing the software at a new site that uses an Epson TM-U590 slip printer and I can't for the life of me get printing to work
Using a Standard Report, the Print Report.vi returns error -41002 which indicates it can't find the printer.  I've opened up the VI using remote debugging and it does find the printer name correctly with the Query Available Printers.vi.  It gets an error code -2147352567 from the Printout node, which then gets replaced with the -41002 error which is reported.
For historical reasons I'm still using LabVIEW 8.6.1 for this project.  I'm considering moving to 2011 or 2012 but I've had reliability issues with other parts of the application after attempting to update to a newer LabVIEW version so I'd like to avoid that at this stage.
The application is running on a standard desktop PC with Windows 7.  The slip printer works fine if I print to it from Notepad, and my application is happy to print to any other printer, just not the slip printer.
The slip printer is using the LPT port.  Previously the docket printers I've used have been USB but I would expect the printer driver to hide this detail from the application...
Any ideas would be much appreciated

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I've managed to sort out the problem, thanks to this KB article: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/67D60209102E2161862568AC0074BF64
I'm now having the same issue with a Star docket printer (a TUP592), this time with another program developed in LabVIEW 2011.
As mentioned in the article, the problem is actually to do with the margin settings rather than the printer name, despite what the error message says
After some experimentation, I've gotten the Star printer to work by setting a large (>14cm) right margin.  No idea why this is required as it seems to print right up to the right edge of the paper quite happily, but there you go.
So I haven't defintely fixed the original problem yet as I haven't gotten back to the site, but hopefully this will be of some help to someone else.
    Cheers
