Hi all,
I have attached document to cost center through Archive Link tr.code OAWD succesfully.
but i can't see any document attach in cost center(Tr. Code KS02).where to find this attach doucment throgh Archive Link with cost center. i allready checked Service for Object attachment.

It should creat link in KS02, in 'services for object' at attacment list field automaticaly.
but i think your during configuration u miised some paramenters check. Which Business object u choosen in link table.

Hi Please use t-code OP42. Make sure all your configuration for work centre is there. You link cost centre in the costing tab of work centre basic data.

Link Cost center with Org unit

Hi experts,
I have one question. I have create org unit for the past 2 month (May 2009). However I don't create relationship with cost center. After 2 month I decided to create cost center for the org unit. The date of relationship based on creation of org unit.
The question is, what the impact to the payroll since I have run payroll for 2 months.

What ever date you maintained in relation ship for create cost center the same date will get updated in IT0001. If you set Retro date ( In PA03) based on that system will go for retro calculations. In retro calculation only CC will update net amount remain same.
As of now how did you maintain cost center?

Combination of GL A/c & Cost Center or GL A/c & Profit Center Validation

Hi,
Can anyone please tell me a way to validate the combination of GL Account and Cost Center or combination of GL Account and Profit Center?
Is there a master table wherein I can validate this particular combination??

I think there is no master tables in the configuration for this particular links
Cost center -GL
and Profit center -GL account
You can find this combinartion of data in most of the Transaction tables
for example for a PO you will get GL account and Cost center in EKKN table
For each application doc account assignment tables you will find them
see the other master tables for them
Cost center - CSKS
Profit center - CEPC
GL account - SKA1

Can you tell me what is the information this table will give CSKS .What is meant by cost center and what is the use of prctr field in this table .

CSKS is the table for Cost Center Master Data.
cost center: cost center collects the costs. It will try to control the costs with the help of responsible person. Cost centers are not meant for revenues.
Cost center is a real object.
If you give cost center at the time of posting, then real postings will go to cost center and statistical posting will go to profit center (which is assigned in cost center master)
If you give cost center and Internal Order (real), then real postings will go to internal order and statistical postings will go to cost center and profit center (which is assigned in internal order master). The cost center will become statistical or real based on the other real object given.
If you give cost center and internal order (statistical) then real postings will go to cost center and statistical postings will go to internal order (statistical) and profit center (which is assigned to cost center.

How to Default Cost Center During Goods Issue (tcode: MB1A) To Prod Order

How to default the Cost Center/ Profit Center during goods movement posting?
Currently, for Goods Issue transaction, the cost center show blank. Even i have default C.Center in cost element (OKB9)
Where to link Cost center/ Profit Center to MM module?
Need your help.

a. If you want to default a cost center to the transaction then use substitution. Give the default profit center in the cost center. so profit center will also get defaulted.
b. if you want to default the GL account then configure it in OBYC, then use OKB9 to give the default cost center and profit center.

Archiving & Deleting the Cost center line items

My requirement is to delete the line items in the cost cneter as of today, but when i tried to archive & delete the Cost center line items using CO_item,i aam sucesfull in deleteing the past data, but the data of the last month and currenct month i was unable to ........
when i tried in the spro>img>controlling>general ontrolling>archiving>prepare archiving for co line items
i set the resident time to 0,but i was unable to delete the line items.what colud be the reason and what is the way to delete the currenct data also from the system.

Archiving cost center line items for current period

I was not able to archive & delete the cost center line items for current period.I was succesfull in deleting the past line items of the last periods.

For me it does not make any sense from going from PO to cost center report.
However, if you want to see the purchase order cost incurred with a cost center, execute KSB1 report. Within the layout, bring "Purchasing Document" field, where you can see the purchase order number in cost center line item report.

Link between plan position and master cost center

i have the plan position number and i don't know how to determine the master cost center.
do you now the infotype/table that has the link between the two?

thanks for the function.
i know that when a position plan is created it is assign to an org. unit and thus it will inherit its master cost center.
the problem is that more often than not the master cost center of the position plan is changed manually and so it will not match the one of the org unit.
this is indeed an intricate issue

i have to upload some data in tcode CAT2. There is Cost center that appears in header record of this employee (say 1000) in this transaction ( and say his KOSTL is D010000).
But when i try to update any other cost center with an activity type, it gives me error message and does not allow me to save data.
However, if the COST CENTER <b>CATEGORY</b> is same for all three (activity type, Cost center m tryin to upload and Cost center in header), it allows to save and upload the data.
so my ques is :-
is it necessary to have cost center category same for all the 3 fields or is there some conf. problem?
plz help !!!!!!!

By using CR03 T Code we can see the Display Work Center : Cost Center Assignment Screen will appear.
we need to select the costing tab, We can find Cost Center .

All line items on a Cost Center Are archived, do not see in custom reports - error No actual line items were selected

I have a cost center,
on witch I know there are bookings,
1. I do KSB1, have message "No actual line items were selected"
2. I select - extras - data source - archive
in this way I can see my items.
ok.
maybe all bookings are archived.
no:
I de a new movement on this CC - KB11N (exemple) - and on the new one I have the same problem
I se it only when I check "archive",
and do not see it on custom reports.
Why ?

Check the T Code: S_ALR_87013611
Then T Code: KSB1 by removing all the filters like date restriction..etc.
Still if you are not finding the postings:
Check the postings in the T code FAGLB03 - Display Balances by giving GL Account.
Postings happen in co module if there is a cost object.
If there is no cost object it will not flow to controlling, that will be in FI.
What you need to do is:
Select your GL
Select your Payment date
Select your Document number.
You can check the same in FBL3N also.
go to the transaction summary and verify the cost object whether it is a cost center or Order...etc.
Also check whether the payment is in parking stage ....?

Profit Center - Cost Center link

Given the Profit Center, is there a table I can check to find which Cost Centers are linked to it?

since we assign the profit center in the cost center master data, go by the cost center.
use table CSKS for cost center > profit center link, then sort on profit center.

Org Unit inheritance link to Parent Cost Center - is this Config?

We started at a new client and have difficulty maintaining the Org Structure A 011 relationships to child Org Units. The system undoes our implicit links. We want the implicit links to be there and not inherited. Is it possible to switch off the inheritance in config?
Please assist/advise.

what do you mean when you say the system 'undoes' your implicit links? Did you mean the system undoes the inherited cc value by using the explicit cc-assignment done at an org unit level? if yes that is how sap works,... the options are
a. do not do explicit creation of cost center to org unit . that way assigning a cost center at the top org unit will suffice as that will be inherited to all org units down the structure. But this is not a workable business scenario at all.
b. determine the explicit cost center assignments at each org unit level and do the assignment accordingly.
lastly : I dont think inheritence of cost center is something you can deactivate in img.
