  • Archive Batch master recors MM_SPSTOCK. Problem with MSKA

    Hi all,
I am trying to archive zero stock batches from SAP. I use MM_SPSTOCK object from SAP.
I can archive batches with no records on table MSKA. But if one material has records with zero stock records in MSKA I get message "dependant customer order stocks exists". But customer order is ended and record at MSKA has zero values...  am I doing something wrong?
    Thank you very much!

    Hello,
    it worked!
I had records in MSKA but sales order and purchase order completely finished. I didn't have any stocks in previous period... so, ofter reading your responses I went back to MM74 and I realised that I wasn't mark "another special stocks option"...
I know... a stupid own mistake...  sorry.
Then I market that option and I could archive special stocks records at MSKA  (as i had no records at MSKU). After that execution, a new one finally archived unused batches.  wow!
    Thak you very much Jürgen!

  • MM_SPSTOCK Archive Batch Master and Stock Relevant tables - Display options

    Hello,
We are archiving Batch Master and Special Stock tables. We have batch configuration set up at material level.
We have realised SAP does not provide a infostructure to display through SARI archived batches. Also read program MMREO210 is not very elegant and required the archive session to display further information.
We know that this object allow to archive partially: stock level (MCHB), plant level (MCHA) and finally if all dependencies are okay, batch master (MCH1).
Can we display archived batch data using any standard SAP transaction? As QA03 for Archived Lots or similar.
How should we create the infostructure for SARI access? MCH1-MCHA mapping? We are having problems when only MCHB entry is archived.
We are interested at least in a list of material / batch / plant archived with production date, SLED... key batch master info mainly.
    Thanks a lot,
    Manuel Perez Lombard

    Not much available in standard.

  • Archiving batch- material used in inspection lot error

    Hai,
I am trying to archive a batch, but I do receive the below message:
u201CMaterial is used in Inspection Lotu201D. Message number W4123.
Prior to this I archived the existing Inspection Lot using u2018QM_CONTROLu2019. The status on the inspection lot is now ARCH. There are no other open inspection lots for this material/batch.
I ran MM_SPSTOCK to archive the associated batch number. But still I get message "Material is used in Inspection Lot".
Note We are not using Long term Inspection.. We are in ECC 6.
Did anyone has this same issue before?
    Thank you in advance!

Just check the existing batch & Material combination - that particular material -recurring inspection09 is selected or anyone of the batch & Material is QI stock.

  • Archiving object for batch deletion

    Hi   ,
Please let me know the archiving object for batch date deletion from table MCHA.
MM_SPSTOCK is for archiving batch date from table MCHB.
    Thanks in advance,
    Vinayak

MM_SPSTOCK - is for archiving all the Batch related data including speical stocks. This will take care of your Batch Tables MCH1, MCHA, MCHB(own stock) and also all of the special stock tables like MSKA, MKOL, MSKU, MKOP, MSLB .....(if used in your company)etc. You should be fine just using this object

  • Batch has been archived before Ud taking

    Dear friends,
I want to make inventory count for this material. Batch has been archived in 2012; due to this deficit stock error is display, what is the solution for this kind of issue. Please do the need ful.
    Regards,
    sabhapathy R

    Hello,
Possibly there will be two solutions.
    1) take the archive batch again on live system by taking the help of a Basis person. there is a complete procedure where you can reverse the archive postings.
    2) just paly at table level , where you need to put the stock against created batch and then process your UD. ( This is not an appropriate bcoz of table level inconsistency as well not recommeded by SAP itself).
Better is the first one or nothing.

  • Batch archiving - MM74

    Hello,
I'm carrying out archiving of material batches on TCODE MM74. I have some documentation but still I'm stuck on technical issues.
Does anyone have one step-by-step procedure (actually a proven document, not just a SAP PDF).
I just want an immediate job that archives batches flagged for deletion with no stock, simple as that!
    Cheers.

    Job log overview:
    07.04.2008 15:07:17 Job started

    07.04.2008 15:07:19 Job finished
If I try to read the archived object I have no data.
On Log details, in the 'write' folder I have:
    No log was generated
    Message no. ARCH_PROT226
    Diagnosis
The program does not provide a log.
The program provides a log, but you requested the log output to go to the list (spool) and not the application log.

  • How do I tell how much hard disk space an archive will take up?

Hi we are trying to determine whether or not we have the capacity to run an archive export on one of our WebCenter spaces content folder (the root folder and ALL contents). Before we begin we'd like to be able to tell how much disk space it will take up.
    Thanks,
    S

The table Documents contains a field called dFileSize, which contains the size of file in bytes.
Now, you can use this field to calculate the size of all files contained in a folder (or its subfolders), or contained in an archiving batch.
I think easier is the former. Actually, I have done something similar - created a component that checks so that files in a folder do not exceed the given quota. It already contains hierarchical queries that could be re-designed (simplified) to your needs. For instance, an occupied quota of a folder is
WITH tree AS (select dCollectionId, case when level>1 then dCollectionQuota end as effective_quota from collections start with dCollectionId = ? connect by dParentCollectionId = prior dCollectionId and (prior dCollectionQuota IS NULL or level = 2)) SELECT SUM(NVL(t.effective_quota, NVL(docs.dFileSize, 0))) as TOTALDOCUMENTSIZE from tree t LEFT OUTER JOIN DOCMETA meta ON t.dCollectionId = meta.xCollectionId and t.effective_quota IS NULL LEFT OUTER JOIN DOCUMENTS docs ON meta.dId = docs.dId and docs.dIsPrimary = 1 LEFT OUTER JOIN REVISIONS rev ON rev.dId = docs.dId(in your case, you don't need t.effective_quota, nor logic bound to dCollectionQuota as these values do not exist in your system)
P.S. more info about hierarchical queries, see here

We are using MM_SPSTOCK object for archiving Batch Records. While executing this Archiving object ,Suppose we have a case where there exists a  material assigned to more than one batch .Lets Say B1 and B2 for Material M1. If we are interested to archive the Batch record M1 B1 then M1 B2 also getting archived even though the batch B2 is not specified in the selection criteria of MM_SPSTOCK .This leads to Data inconsistency. Is there anything that we need to do in order to save the second batch record getting archived. Please suggest.Let me know if you need any information

  • Batch Exist - Split Valuation

    Hi,
I would like to change 1 material to split valuation but this particular material already had some movement with batches.
When this material is changed via MM02, there is an error message that batch already exist.
However, the stock and batches are removed now but the error still exists.
If i reversed all material documents and intialised this material stock again.
Will it be able to change the valuation category?
Thanks in advance for all your help.

    Sally Teo,
You have to archive batch master records to be able to carry out the change.

  • Why Batch Management is required?

    Hello Experts,
I am going through all notes available in SPRO related to Batch Management and able to understand the settings for the same.
However, I do not have any idea what is the importnace of Batch Management? Why do we do that? And where its required?
Can you throw some light on the same?
    Thanks And Regards,
    Krupesh Kothari.

In various industries u2013 particularly the process industry u2013 you have to work with homogenous partial quantities of a material or product throughout the logistics quantity and value chain.
There are various reasons for this:
Legal requirements (for example, the guidelines set out by GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) or regulations on hazardous material
Defect tracing, callback activities, and regression requirement
The need for differentiated quantity-and value-based Inventory Management (for example, due to heterogeneous yield/result qualities or varying constituents in Production.
Differences in usage and the monitoring thereof in materials planning in SD and Production.
Production or procedural requirements (for example, settlement of material quantities on the basis of different batch specifications).
    Integration
Batch Management is integrated in all applications of the R/3 System. It supports the management and processing of batches in all of a companyu2019s business processes.
    Features
    Batch number assignment
You use this function to assign a batch with a number that uniquely identifies it.
    Batch specifications
You use this function to describe each batch uniquely using characteristics and characteristic values. You specify the permitted value range in the allocated material master record.
    Batch status management
You use this function to indicate whether a batch is usable or unusable. You set this status:
Manually in the batch master record or at goods receipt
Automatically in the usage decision in quality management
    Batch determination
With this function, you can use various criteria to search for batches that are in stock, for example:
    when posting goods issues
when combining suitable material components for production orders and process orders
when creating a delivery according to particular customer requirements
    Batch where-used list
The batch record contains all quality-relevant planned and actual data for the production of a batch and complies with the GMP guidelines (Good Manufacturing Practices) for the pharmaceutical industry and food industry.
The path of the batch from Procurement to delivery to your customer is shown in the batch where-used list.
For more information, refer to Archiving Batch Records (PP-PI) in the BC - SAP ArchiveLink Scenarios PP documentation.
    Active ingredient management
You use this function to administrate and process materials with active ingredients that are to be handled in batches.
    also see following:
The following process chain describes how batch management could look when integrated into the relevant SAP component.
    Process Flow
    Sales & Distribution
A sales order for a material subject to handling in batches is posted.
You have previously agreed with the customer that the batches of the material he is supplied with must meet certain specifications.
you run a batch determination, as well as a batch availability and usability check. The system determines that the sales order cannot be met with the present stock.
a requirement is transferred to production.
    Production
A production order (discrete manufacturing) or a process order (process manufacturing) is created for the material to be handled in batches due to the posted sales order.
A batch number can be assigned for the quantity of material to be produced.
As raw materials with certain specifications are required for the manufacture of this material, batch determination is triggered.
If a sufficient quantity of raw material is available, the selected batches are reserved for the production or process order
    Purchasing
If there is an insufficient quantity of raw material, the required quantity with the appropriate specifications is ordered from the vendor.
    Goods Receipt
Due to the purchase order created by purchasing, the raw material is posted to the stock in quality inspection during goods receipt.
The batch is assigned a batch number.
    An inspection lot is created.
    Quality Management
The delivered batch of raw material is subject to quality inspection.
The inspection results are recorded, and become available to batch determination as soon as the usage decision has been recorded.
The batch is posted to either restricted or unrestricted stock.
    Warehouse Management
The batch of raw material is placed into stock at storage bin level.
    Production
Before production commences, an availability check is run as part of batch determination.
The production or process order is released.
A batch number is assigned to the material to be produced.
The shop floor papers (PI sheet, for example) are created.
An order-related inspection lot is created for quality inspection.
The raw materials warehouse is notified of the transport requirement for material provision.
    Warehouse Management
Using the transport requirement, the batch of raw materials is provided at the correct time and date.
    Production
The manufacturing process is completed, the batch of raw material is consumed.
    Inventory management
The goods issue for the batch of raw material required by production is posted.
    Quality Management
Inspections are conducted during the manufacturing process.
    The inspection results are recorded.
    A usage decision is made.
    Inventory Management
The batch produced is posted to the stock in quality inspection.
    An inspection lot is created.
    Quality Management
The batch produced is subject to a quality inspection for final release.
    The inspection results are recorded.
    A usage decision is made.
    Inventory Management
The batch produced is posted to unrestricted-use stock.
    Sales & Distribution
During delivery, batch determination is conducted with reference to the sales order.
During batch determination, an availability check is carried out.
Using the inspection results for quality management, inspection certificates can be automatically created.
    Inventory Management
    The goods issue is posted.
For detailed information on batch management in Inventory Management, refer to the MM - Inventory Management documentation.
