I have a 2GB Zen V+ that has a cracked screen and out of warranty. My classmate says he has a GB and a 4GB plus that have good screens but don't work. Classmate wants to sell the dead units. Are all Zen Micros defecti've because I really am considering buying this player over a Rio Carbon / Karma or an iPod Mini or a 52mb/gb Sony flash memory mp3 player (those are nice by the way.) I really am looking forward to having an mp3 player that would just dead on play music, have a good audio quality, and can possibly hold 4/5/6 gigs of memory. It's really annoying when you see all these nice products out in the market (ie, products mentioned above) and they're all defecti've one way or another.
Please, somebody give me their honest opinons, especially the mods from Creative since you do work for the company. I really am looking forward to buying a product of yours.. mainly because of the memory, audio quality, price, and one of the best qualities -- the removable battery. I don't mind much for the voice recorder, removable disk, etc. I really want a long lasting mp3 player with a replaceable battery, good memory and audio quality.
If you think the Zen Micro is not for me, please let me know and recommend something else, please.

A small percentage of them have a problem? Just have a look at this forum. Poeple are constantly reporting some problems. Also, I asked in various shops whether they had any complaints about the Micro. Guess what a number of shops admitted that customers would frequently return them as a result of the battery drainage problem and the headphone jack. Do you guys like taking out the battery every time you finish listing?
Stay away from the Micro. It's a pile of rubbish. Also, I don't like iPods and I certainly don't own one. But as it seems, the iPod Mini has far fewer problems than the Micro. Obviously, this doesn't mean that you have to go for an iPod. I myself have managed to find my personal perfect player. It's a real shame as I really like the look of the Zen Micro, but I suppose looks aren't everything. I'd rather have a well-functioning player than one that has blue lights.
The player has only a few problems, but those problems are serious. The battery drains even when the player is off, which means that you either have to put up with the fact that you wake up in the morning only to find your battery completely empty or you take out the battery after listing. Quite a few Micro owners do this, without realising that the wear and tear from the constant taking out of the battery is a serious problem and will later catch up with them. The other problem is the famous eadphone jack. It's not said that your player would develop this problem, but too many players do it. I wouldn't feel comfortable at the prospect of listing to my music through only one channel. Oh the touch pad is faulty with some players as well. And there are a lot other problems with it. At least, you're making the research beforehand unlike me who trusted various reviews by people who owned the player a day and claimed that it was so great. Ok, I had a glitch, forced to restart, and lost my train of thought.
Reinstalling iTunes should fix the major issue that might have gone wrong, perhaps your explaination points will disappear and everything will be peachy again.
But if they don't, you can open the XML file in iTunes Folder using a Text edit program to see what the common pathname is to the iTunes Music folder or where your content is located.
If you moved the itunes folder, it needs to go back.
I can't download iTunes to my Vista virtual machine to test it out right now because iTunes is down, so I can't verify the pathname, perhaps your issue and the iTunes being down are related somehow?
You don't want to import all your music again, but it's a option, but you lose all your playlists, that's what I'm trying to recover.
If oyu don't have a whole lot of playlists, then simply select all the explaimation point music and delete, select File from the menu and import your itunes folder again.

Also, when the flash video does not show up it displays the error that I do not have the current flash player. The problem is that I do have the current flash player that actually plays flash from another section of the website.

Zen V Plus pausing the audiob

So you know how in iTunes under song info you can tell the iPod to remember playback position in an audiobook you put on your iPod. Like not from iTunes or Audible. So is there a way to have the Zen V Plus remember the playback position of the audiobook I uploaded to it's I don't want to have to find my place every time!

Hold down the Menu button and choose Set Bookmark and select a slot to put it in. When returning to play the book again, select Bookmarks on the menu and select the saved Bookmark.

Creative zen v plus and the belkin char

We discovered something that maybe is so obvious to everyone else but maybe not... we bought the belkin charger that works with our zen v plus. HOWEVER please note the usb cables that come with it and then with the zen v plus are NOT interchangeable. We at first assumed the only difference was the belkin cord was longer but the shorter cable that came with our zen v plus does NOT work with the wall charger. It made our zen lights blink on and off and go wierd and not charge at all but thankfully did not damage our player WHEW!

If the purchases you are talking about are DRM-protected files, which is mostly what the iTunes Store sells, they are not compatible with players other than iPod.
All you can do with them is use iTunes to burn them to an *audio CD.* Think how handy it would be to have them on an *audio CD.*
Going forward, do not spend your hard earned money on songs with proprietary DRM protection. There are other online stores, such as amazon.com, that sell the same songs in non-DRM format, which will be compatible with iPod, Zen, or virtually any other player.

Dust behind Zen Nano Plus screen

There is collecting dust behind my screen on Creative Zen Nano Plus, I only had it for a week know, and I didn't even remove the screen protecting ting there was on the screen when I bought it...
What should I do?

Photos on Facebook are all black, likewise full screen Youtube videos.

When I click on a Facebook photo, it quickly shows a full size blurry sketch, then turns all black. I can watch Youtube videos small, but when I make them full screen, they are all black.
Without first uninstalling Firefox, I downloaded Firefox and installed it again. It didn't improve the situation.

Try to disable hardware acceleration.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

Wondering about Zen V Plus Screen Blacking

I bought my Zen V plus yesterday, when I am playing music the screen goes black... I have to press a few buttons to get it normal agin... Is there a way I can stop my screen from going black?

When playing music the screen will fade to black after a set period determined by the "Display Timer" in the System, Player Settings menu. THe max seting is 30 seconds. This is to conserve battery life.

hey everybody anyone knows what happened?one day without warning my zen V plus's screen has a blue line through the middle...the next day... the screen dimmed until u can hardly see anything on the screen! i can also see some red lines that werent there before..contrast is at 00%... but still no improvement! anyone can help?

You could try resetting the player and perhaps updating (or reloading) the firmware. If that doesn't help, then it would be best to contact Customer Support, as it sounds like there could be a hardware problem with your player.

Download from ALV are all in one column including the header

We are having problems with the download of excel from ALV grid. what happens is that instead of the data dispalying in different columns, it is all in one column, including the header. what could be the problem? this only occurs in the production system but in the development and quality it is ok.

Will Zencast Organiser support the Zen Nano Plus in the futu

I would like to know whether a future release of Zencast Organiser will support the Zen Nano Plus and similar players in Zencast Transfer. Or is this only possible for MTP players?Also items from a particular channel need to be played back on players?(normal play mode) by date (oldest first) and not alphanumerically by file name, or at least for this option to be introduced. I like to hear my podcasts in date order. Surely this makes sense and wouldn't be too difficult to introduce into Zencast transfer?

The new ios7 update I can't size my wallpapers anymore. They are all way too big for the screen. Before I would just pinch to size it however I wanted and now it won't do this anymore. Really ***** because now you can't see the wallpapers fully.

Yes you can delete those temporary files as long as you've saved any changes you've made back to the main document. So I'd open the document with the same name without the ~ and hidden file attribute and make sure it's the way you want it. Then you can delete the temporary file.
The key command you want to enlarge text in internet explorer holding down command and hitting the =/+ key. Conversely the command and - key makes text in internet explorer smaller.
