Are one time vendors supported in SRM ( replicated from ECC backend to SRM)

Dear All,
I have noticed in various past posts that one-time vendors are not supported in SRM.
Is this still the case fo SRM 5.0 and ECC 6 backend set?
Why is it that one time vendors cannot be replicated to SRM?
If we create a one time venor manually in SRM, can we use this vendor in shopping carts/POs?

As far as I know, Yes correct.. one time vendors are not supported in SRM.
It's functionality of R/3 and ECC Backend systems only.
Contract vendors / Purchase Info-records related vendors are still supported in SRM.

    we are upgrading SRM 5.0 to SRM 7.0.here we have a requiremnt like we want to maintain some  number range .i.e for exp(001-10) as one time vendors, where these vendors are not maintained in R/3 system as they are one time vendor. so when create a shopping cart with this kind of vendor the shoping cart is going to error in process as these vendors are not maintained in R/3.so can we replicate these vendor details in backend without any eror.please suggest.

    I have done the following -
    1.Transaction Code used - F-51
    2.Checked the option Transfer with Clearing to transfer entries from One Time Vendor to Full time Vendor; entries being KR and KG <b>NOT</b> KZ.
    3.For <b>KZ</b>, with the same transaction code, I opted for Outgoing Payment Option.
    Would anyone let me know, whether choosing Outgoing Payment for KZ for such a case is justified?
    Rest F-51 was used for transferring the amount in a whole, but not invoices individually.
    Could somebody suggest a solution to this kindly?

  • SRM One-Time Vendor

    Hi SRM Gurus,
    Is it possible to use one-time vendors in SRM? If yes, how do I set it up. I can't seem to find anything on the topic in the manuals or other SRM books.
    If no, are there alternatives for this? Workarounds?

    Hi,
      One _Time is created in MM (ERP) system without vendor information such as Bank account information, Vendor address, Payment terms etc. These vendors are generally used for one time procurement or in case of maverick buying. As all the vendor informations are not maintained in vendor master record , while creating purchase Order all the vendor information is provided.
    These one time vendors can be replicated to SRM and can be used as One Time vendor. Similar to MM, in SRM also, while creating PO, all the vendor information need to be provided. Otherwise Purchase order will not be complete.

    I've tested your proposed solution but unfortunately can't get it to work.
    I've activated the delivered scenario 0003 (RECIPIENT BANK ORIENTED) & created a general bank chain as follows via transaction FIBB:
    In the Bank Chains screen, BankChn ID = 00001, No. = 1, Typ = 2, Corr. ctry, Corr.Bank key & Bank acct all completed with intermediary bank details.
    In the Assignment screen, Crcy = USD, Sender Ctry = GB, Sender Bank Key - 200000, Recipient Ctry = KY, Recipient Bank key = blank, PmntMthSu = blank, BankChn ID = 00001.
    I then created a OTV invoice with bank details of Bank Country = KY (& valid bank key & account).
    The payment program selects the invoice to be paid using currency USD, house bank which uses bank key 200000 and uses the bank details as entered in the OTV.  It pays the invoice but no mention is made in the log of intermediary banks, and when I check table REGUH there are no entries in the intermediary bank fields for the payment proposal.
    I'd be grateful for any further suggestions!

    Special GL transactions (like down payments) are not allowed for one-time vendors.  Please refer to the following SAP Note.

  • Vendor down payments for one time vendor

    Hi There,
    I am not sure why this is happening, but when we try and post a down payment to a one time vendor, it comes up with the error F5 265.
    When we do this for a normal Vendor it is OK.
    Has anyone come across this?
    Is there some special config required to activate one time vendors for Down payments?

    Special GL transactions (like down payments) are not allowed for one-time vendors.  Please refer to the following SAP Note.

    How do we handle 1099's for one time vendors? As far as I know this is not supported in SAP and needs to be done manually. Can someone please comment on this.

    As you may be aware of  the Businesses will need to fill out a Form 1099-MISC for persons, vendors, subcontractors, independent contractors, and others in the following circumstances:
    $600 or more per year is paid for
    u2022 cash payments to fishermen
    u2022 crop insurance proceeds,
    u2022 medical and health care payments,
    u2022 prizes and awards,
    u2022 proceeds paid to attorneys,
    u2022 rents,
    u2022 services (including parts and materials), and
    u2022other types of payments not covered by another information reporting document.
    $10 or more per year is paid for
    u2022 broker payments in lieu of dividends or tax-exempt interest, and
    u2022 royalties
    Reporting such payments is required if the recipient of the payment is not a corporation -- for example, when the recipient is an individual, partnership, a limited liability company treated as a partnership or sole proprietorship. Payments made to corporations are required in the case of medical and health care payments and in the case of legal fees paid to attorneys. Other types of payments made to corporations may be reported using Form 1099-MISC, but is not required.
    You will need to know whether the payment falls under any of the categories listed above for reportable payments, whether your payments to a particular recipient reaches the $10 or $600 threshold for reporting, and finally you'll need to know the exact amount you paid the recipient for the year.
    If your vendor's are falling under this, you should not create them as one time vendor

  • Error message in case of One time vendor in MIR7 and MIR4.

    Hi,
    We have a requirement where we need to give a warning message when an invoice document is parked in case if it is a One time vendor and bank details are missing. It should be an error message if user is trying to save it as completed or posting the document. We have already found a BADI INVOICE_UPDATE method CHANGE_AT_SAVE for giving error / warning message but we also want the same to be appeared in the popup coming when we press Messages button in MIR4 screen same way as standard messages are shown. I know that there is a table T_ERRPROT which need to be populated in order to show the messages in the popup window but could not find any appropriate user exit or badi to populate this table. Any suggestion or solutions are welcomed.

    1. Can we get party-wise payment report at a later date without party code by just giving name of the party? If yes, party codes for one time payments are not required. 
    2.whether any payments are made to the party three years back. Can we check without party code?
    3.Service Tax department also regarding payments made to a certain party for the past 3 yeas.

    You need to use the one time vendor party, there is no functionality getting reports with giving the name of the party.
    2.whether any payments are made to the party three years back. Can we check without party code?
    Refer answer for point 1. If you do not archieve the line items, then you can go back to any number of years to view the payment history.

  • Duplicate one-time vendor check

    Hello Guys
    It's necessary to activate a check whether one-time vendor already exists in the system as usual vendor.
    I think such check can be performed either during PO creation while entering vendor address, or during invoice posting while entering bank details, tax code etc.
    So please advise if you have any ideas.
    P.S. VAT Reg No is not used in our country, instead we use Tax Number 1.

    Application Area F2
    Message No.144 for Vendor and 145 for customer, making it as information.
    I really doubt there is such control for One time Vendor in the system.

    Hi,
    In the Creation of Vendor master data, CIN Tab shows onthe menu bar ther you will assign the PAN number .
    If the TAB is not shown , assigned in the t code OMT3E select user screen reference and select New Entries and maintain the user and the counry.

    I hope it is a third party scenario. Get the sales order number from the purchase order created with that vendor. EKPO table contains PO line item with sales order as the reference document.
    From the sales order , get the invoice from VBFA table. Pass this Invoice number to get the customer from (VBRK). Pass this customer to (KNA1) to get the address number. Pass this Address number to ADRC to get the customer address.

  • One-Time vendors

    We'll soon be implementing the one-time vendor process but I have a potential audit issue.
    When the AP clerk enters the bank details of the one-time vendor via MIRO does anybody have a verification process to check that the bank details are correct.  As when we set up a normal vendor there is the confirmation process which is handled by a differnt user than the master data clerk.

    I do not know of a standard SAP check on bank details for one-time vendors like there is for 'normal' vendors.
    What I probably would try is to automatically set a payment block on every invoice for the one-time vendor.
    I would try if this would work via a vendor specific tolerance (IMG: Materials Management / Logistics Invoice Verification / Incoming Invoice / Configure Vendor-Specific Tolerances) where the limits are checked, but the tolerance is 0.
    If this fails, you could try a BADI which sets a payment block on the invoice (IMG: Materials Management / Logistics Invoice Verification / Maintain Customer Exits and Business Add-Ins / Maintain Business Add-Ins for Invoice Verification) like BADI MRM_PAYMENT_TERMS.
