Artifacting and low resolution in poster image

Hi, I'm having real problems with poor quality poster image/final still of video front cover.
I have an H.264 mp4 which I created in After Effects and inserted using the Media panel within DPS.
As you see below, it plays on page load and I have chosen the finished front cover to be the poster image when it ends from within the Folio Overlays panel. I have set the video to stop on the last page.
When the video stops you can see all the artifacting around the text which I would expect to be as crisp as the original PSD file I uploaded as the poster image.
Is there anything I'm doing wrong or is there anything that can improve the quality of the final still? Is the poster image even being displayed or is it the final frame of the video? (I imagine this is the case)

I've sorted it!
Dropped the poster image altogether and recreated the movie elements as I would in InDesign on the page and the movie plays to the end and finally reveals the page underneath. I was overcomplicating things.

I've noticed on my new ipad 4 that many images when on the Internet are blurred and low resolution why is this? Because if you go on apples website everything is crystal clear????

Ebay images look fine on mine. Image zoom doesn't work, but that's not suprising. I also support a number of public and private websites wth a number of images (some pretty large). Those look fine as well. If the Apple website looks good, there is no raeson other sites shouldn't as well.
For eBay specifically, I'd recommend using its app, but in general, you could try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the iPad shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the iPad back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset.

Low resolution of Google Image Search results in Firefox Android

I'm new to Android, and I've noticed that Firefox brings up lower resolution Google Image search results in comparison to the same image search on Chrome for Android. When I click on an image result in Firefox it gives me the option of going through a low resolution slide show of all the image results, or clicking to see a single full size image. But that takes me out of the slide show, and then I have to backtrack to continue on with the low resolution slide show.
Chrome allows you to see the full resolution images within a slide show, allowing you to swipe from one full res image to the next.
Is there a way to get a slide show of the full size image results in Firefox Android without having to jump through all the hoops to see the full size images?
So far this is the only drawback I've seen with Firefox Android. I would much rather use it vs. Chrome because of Firefox's ability to use plug ins, especially adblock plus.

Perhaps I didn't write my post clearly enough. A Google image search on Chrome produces image results (via slideshow) of superior quality than an identical slideshow on Firefox. Your answer implies that Google sends higher resolution images to Chrome than it does to Firefox. I find that hard to believe.
Chrome apparently renders its Google image search slideshows using full size images, while Firefox does not. Rather than providing the full size images within a slideshow, Firefox seems to use lower resolution thumbnails, then forces you to click on a "Full-size image" button for each image that you want to see clearly. I was hoping there was a way around that.
My original question was if there was a way to increase the quality of the slideshow results in Firefox so you don't have to click on the image to open it up at full res., then backtrack to get back into the slideshow, then do the same thing all over again for each and every image you want to see clearly in full size. On Firefox you have to do all these extra steps that you don't have to do in Chrome. So, based on the answers so far I guess I guess that's just the way it is and there's no way around it.

Thumbnails and low resolution pictures both burn on CD

I remeber when starting iPhoto it asked me something about thumbnails. I must have checked yes, because now when I burn to a CD I get a thumbnail of good quality and a picture with low resolution both on the CD. I burned 31 pictures and on the CD were 62. I had the larger imalges printed and they turned out horrible. What's up??

If you used the Share->Burn menu option they you will get an iPhoto organized CD with both the thumbnail files (in the Data folder) and the full sized files (in the Originals folder). That type of disk is intended for use by iPhoto when the disk is mounted in the drive. It shows up in the Source pane of iPhoto.
If you're looking for a disk to uses on PCs or take to a photo finisher then you need to use the File->Export menu option and export the full sized image file to the CD to be burned.

Simulating high and low resolution

I'm clueless about creating an effect to an existing image.
I want a very small center point of the image to be unchanged. Just outside of the center should appear as if it's slightly lower resolution, and the further you go from the center the lower resolution it appears. So by the time you get to the edge of the picture it's not easy to tell what you're seeing.
I think I want to do this one of two ways. I don't know which will look better or is possible.
1. Pixels combined to be the same color, perhaps some blur effect that increases away from the center, or,
2. An overlay of scattered black pixels only, with the concentration of black pixels increasing away from the center, or
3. the above two combined.

The actual excitation voltages you are reading don't go through the amplifier on the SCXI-1520. Therefore, when the excitation signals are included in the scan list, that can confuse NI-DAQ. If you look at the reading from the channel of the SCXI-1520, it will be off, but it will be off by a factor. What's happening is that when you read from the channel and then read from the excitation signals, no gain is being applied to the channel (even if you insert a range of +/- .1 V) but NI-DAQ thinks a gain is applied. So, NI-DAQ divides down the voltage even though it doesn't need to.
For instance, if you read from the channel of the SCXI-1520 first and include a limit of +/- 0.1 V, NI-DAQ thinks a gain of 100 will be used. The 1520 appl
ies no gain so your reading in LabVIEW will be 100 time less than it should be. This just happens when you are trying to apply a gain to a channel prior to reading from the excitation signals. I haven't found a source that says this, but my testing has pointed this out.
With regards to the PXI-4220, it should act the same way. If you take a look at the block diagram of the SCXI-1520 and the PXI-4220, both have the excitation signals (P+, P-) going directly to the multiplexer without passing through the amplifier. So the setup of both devices look the same. You can find the block diagram of the devices in the user manual's which I've linked below.

Messy glueing inside the spline (and low resolution)

Does a messy glue job constitute a cause for a refund? If so, to whom do you write?
The book was also quite low resolution (lower than other books I've done recently with the same setting). Is that the luck of the draw?

What type and size of book was it? For the glue job there's a chance you can get a refund, but unless the images are just plain screwed up I doubt if you can get one based on resolution not as expected.
The medium and small books are known to have a very pronounced halftone pattern in the images that is easily recognized. Must be different printing process than that used on the large books.

Ios7.1 causing web pictures to show very grainy and low resolution. Help!

Since I've updated to ios7.1, I've noticed that pictures on a lot of apps have become very grainy and low-res (think 2002 dial-up loading images), yet pictures I take with my camera are fine. I tried saving one to see if it was just a temporary display problem but the final saved image would come in clear, but the problem continues. I thought maybe it was part of the visual assistance that came with 7.1 but if it is, I certainly can't find a way to turn it off. Does anyone know what could be causing this or how to fix it? Additional info is that I'm using an iPhone 5c. I don't know if this is going on with any other models, but a friend of mine is having the same issue with his 5c. Thanks in advance!

My phone has been having the exact same issue. Every time I try to look at an image in safari it is grainy and pixelated. I have the 5 and two of my friends who have the 5c are having the same problem. Hopefully Apple will soon put forth a new update to fix this bug that the 7.1 update caused!

Managing Hi and Low resolution files

I'm afraid I know the answer, but am hoping I missed something that will solve my dilemma. I am using iTunes to replace my entire CD collection. I have ripped 300+ cds in Apple loseless format to replace my cd player for both my main audio system, as well as a whole house audio distribution system.
What I really want to do is to be able to load my ipod with these same songs, but at a much lower resolution (i.e. 128).
I realize that I can make itunes re-rip my music @128, but I absolutely do not want 2 copies of the same song/album, etc showing up in my Library.....
I'd be thrilled if I could 1) create a second library where I could store these lower res files, or 2) make itunes rerip on the fly when it transerfers files to my ipod.
So far, I can't find a way to make it do either. Am I missing somenthing? Is there an alternative solution? Is wanting to use high res files for a home system, and low res for mobile so far fetched that apple can't find some way to accomidate it? I am thrilled with my ipods, but extremely frustrated with the lack of useabilty in itunes.
Please help.... PS is there any other software out there (JRiver, etc, that will do what I want to do?)

I think your suggestion may finally be the answer I am looking for!!! I just have a couple of questions on how to actually implement your suggested solution. I have created a second username on my PC. When I launch iTunes from the second username, my music library is basically empty.
What I'd really like to end up with is my full music collection, in 128 aac under my second user name... I'd love some instructions on how to accomplish this..
I hope I'm making sense... any clarification you can provide is extremely appreciated. I feel like I'm this close to finally being able to use the system the way I really want to.

Is there a limit to the size and/or resolution of an image that iPhone can display?

I navigated to a url of a PNG with a file size of about 3MB and resolution of 5050×2383px. When I was viewing it in Safari, I was able to zoom in all the way just fine. However, after saving the image and viewing it through either iPhone's native Photos app or an app called Photo Viewer Lite, I realized the the image was displaying at about half its original size. I was unable to zoom in all the way. I plugged the device into my PC to see if the image was saved unmodified and it was.
Could you please clarify this.

Thank you for getting back to me on this... my slides are set for 1024 x 768 does making it that size reduce the mega pixels of the image? The slide show I have going now is 3.88 GB is this to big for Keynote... things are really running slow here...

Netflix movie resolution phases in and out of high and low.

When I'm watching a netflix movie even with WiFi the resolution phases in and out of high and low resolution. Does anyone know what is causing this?

Yes, you download speed is changing. If the download speed is not great enough for HD it reverts to SD.

Scary problem! Old photos suddenly dark, low resolution.

Going through some old pictures I've just noticed that 3-4 sets from 4 years ago have become very dark and lower resolution.
The weirdest part is that they are not complete "sets" -- that is, the darkness seems to in random groups of certain sets (i.e., the first 3-4 are okay, followed by 20 dark/low rez images, followed by 2-3 'normal' images).
I tried zapping the PRAM, as I read that resolved a similar issue. And I repaired permissions.
No dice.
Any thoughts? What I'm afraid of is this happening to all my photos.
Note that I upgraded from a 12" G4 to an iMac two years ago, and imported all those photos. I also upgraded to 10.6 about 8 months ago.
But I just noticed this now -- not sure when it happened.

Poster image does not return after playthrough

Before the example video was Cathi Kwon on http://www.osmf.org/configurator/fmp/ it had a guy explaining what Strobe was and then the assigned poster image came back. The new example is broken and I'm tearing my hair out trying to get the Adobe hosted Strobe to act correctly and give me the poster image after video playthrough.
PLEASE, someone look into this.

It doesn't work in IE. The poster image doesn't show, just black.
It says I am running Flash Player version WIN 10,1,53,64. Which is the same as what I am running on my mac. The Poster image appears fine on the same PC in FF, just not at all in IE on first load. Once everything is cached, the poster image works fine.

Video files show very low resolution poster image

Using Indesign CC and the latest tools and content viewer I am creating Autoplay video animations for the cover of our weekly magazine.
With each issue I have published the same problem occurs where the poster image for the video file is very low resolution and makes our content look very amateur (for a brief moment) before playing the video file at full resolution.
I have tried creating animations using flash, photoshop and Edge Animate, exporting MP4, MOV and OAM files. The problem is present with all movie files and with the Edge animation files a white flash appears before the file plays.
Is there a solution for either of these issues? We are looking to continue to use animations for our covers and need them to look 100% crisp and clean.

Sharing Indesign on CC show low-resolution images and not the right font in preview

Dear Adobe,
I really want to make use of CC Files and the sharing ability with my clients. I have shared an Indesign file, whereas all the links in that indesign file are on CC Files too. The font is a regular Futura Std. But both the links in the files (background and logo) and the font used are not showing up correctly. I deleted the file and uploaded it again, but it is still showing a bad preview. This is not something I can share with my clients.
Am I doing something wrong? It appears that another Illustrator file is showing its preview in low-resolution and after 2 seconden it renders it at a higher resolution.

Fonts may not and links will not show up correctly in the image preview on the Files page. The preview being created on the server is not able to access the links, and only the default fonts are available.
You can export a PDF and share this with your clients (and you can always include a link to the InDesign files if the clients need to download them).
