ASCP Collections

I know ASCP gets the Items, BOM, Sales Orders. Sourcing Rules etc as part of the collections program.
Is there any way to restrict the level at which the BOM can be collected?
For example if the ATO has the
Item
|
Top Level Assembly (TLA)
|
Components
How to ensure only item and TLA gets collected and not the components?
Thanks

You can change the mrp planning code for the components to not planned.
Hope this helps,

Is this issue resolved? If not can you throw some more information along the below questions.
Is the planning manager up and running? What about the firm planned flag? Is there any open quantity on job to be completed? Does this job show up on the view supply/demand screen on the txn instance?

  • Standard Data Collection Failing with Error ORA-04054: database link  does not exist.

    Hi Gurus,
When I am running Standard Data Collection in ASCP(APS) instance R12.1.3, its failing with error : ORA-04054: database link  does not exist.
There is no such Database link exits which is showing in above error.
Also the database link name in the above error is not profile values in the database.
I think, concurrent might be fetching this database link name  from some tables related to plan.
I am not having much knowledge about how this ASCP/APS works.
Need your help to resolve this issue.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
ASCP Collections looks at the dblink from instances definitions from.
    1. Responsibility: Advanced Planning Administrator
    2. Navigation: Admin > Instances
You may review the note in support.oracle.com - Understanding DB Links Setup for APS Applications - ASCP and ATP Functionality (Doc ID 813231.1)

  • ATP Based on ASCP Planned data - how to exclude Subiventory

We are moving from ATP based on ASCP collected data to ATP based on planned data.
In our major warehouses, we have subinventory 'DOCK' , it is not checked ( not enabled) to Include in ATP, but it is flagged ( enabled ) as Nettable subinventory.
In ATP based on collected data, the on hand balance for this subinventory was not included.
But ATP based on planned data includes on hand balance in this subinventory. This is issue because warehouse takes processing time to bring from DOCK subinventory to warehouse FG subinventory and ATP gives immediately available to customer which in actual is available to customer after two days.
We can not change this subinventory as non-netable then ASCP advises more to bring more supply.
    Please advise/help.

    Hi Mahesh
I'm not convinced with your assumption and Sandeep's suggestion of adding 2 days of post-processing LT.
You'll notice even ASCP considers this invenotry available right now without any delay unless it shows as 'In Receiving" and not On-Hand. if this shows "In Recieving, even ATP will consider the same due date as suggested by plan.
There are a few options to model this additonal time but each requires some additional maintenance. You'll require an extra level of supply chain bill where you model this inventory one level below final level. This can either be achieved by modelling this as a component while adding a new level in the bill as FG.
Another option may be to default your request date at least today + 2 days thereby making sure ATP never returns today's date. Please note this is more like an honor system as order entry person may override it and can be handled via user training. Again this will work if you always need 2 days before an order can be shipped. If you've a mixed mode scenario where some inventory may be shippable right now, you may be out of luck here.
There are a few more options that may be possible but will require little more one-on-one discussion.
    Thanks

  • Installing OC4J with EBS 11.5.10.2

    Hello,
Does OC4J and other components that are required for Web Services get installed with E-Business Suite? Or do I need to install them separately?

So far, I applied the following 11i patches:
5733769 DUMMY BUG FOR FND PATCH 5134718

5899674 PS INTEGRATION RUP#3 PATCH FOR 11.5.10 BRANCH
    5997112 EBS-Demantra Integration Patch
Download Demantra 7.1.1 for Windows from edelivery.oracle.com, or download p5985614_711_Win32.zip. Run setup.exe and do a complete install. Make sure you have the exact same Oracle client version installed on the Windows machine as your database. If you are running 10.2.0.3 RDBMS, then install 10.2.0.1 Oracle Client and apply the 10.2.0.3 patchset to that Oracle Home. During Demantra install, install into the ASCP instance you run your collections on.
After the install, apply 6375504 ORACLE DEMANTRA RELEASE FOR 711 CU1 to the windows machine. Then run create_war.bat rename b2b.war to demantra.war and deploy to your application server.
In our implementation, we have the EBS Sales History coming over to Demantra and am able to see them in the Seeded worksheets, but have several SRs open to get the Integration Interface/Workflow working for bringing in the forecast data.

  • Collected ATO Model & items with sales orders and forcast not in ASCP plan

PTO/ATO/ATP challenged - need some help understanding this and how it should work or if it can work.
On 11.5.10.2, a customer wants to see the ATO model and options in the ASCP plan
when the ATO configuration item is not created in the Sales Order.
Using the BOMN example below level 2 - ATO item and level 4 - Marketing Code (Forecast at this level)
    ALTIX-4700-PTO-Z level 1 PTO Model
    ALTIX-4700-ATO-Z level 2 ATO model
    --ALTIX4700-SYS-Z        level 3
    LST-IRU-Z level 4 Ordered item
    LST-4700-WC-Z level 4 Ordered item
    LST-IRU-WC-SRACK-Z level 4 Ordered item
They are not seeing level 4 items in the plan even though they have Sales Order Demand and forecast at this level.
They see the items in the collection workbench, but they are missing in the ASCP plan.
    Any ideas will be appreciated.
    Thanks.

  • How to get DFF data from ERP to ASCP instance using collections

    Hi Everyone,
I have requirement that there is DFF fields defined in ERP on resource definition. I need to collect this DFF fields data information and use in ASCP instance. Is anybody worked on similar requirement or is there any possibility for getting DFF data using collection program.
    Thanks,
    Suresh

In IHPA you will only get the KUNNR field, KNA1-KUNNR = IHPA-PARNR+0(10) for adequate partner function of course. For the other keys of KNVV you will have to look in the master table of the maintenance object (Look at IHPA-OBTYP or at first two characters of IHPA-OBJNR to get the object type)
e.g. maintenance order (OBTYP = 'ORI', OBJNR begins with OR) in AUFK
    * From order main table AUFK
      AUFK-OBJNR = IHPA-OBJNR.
    * then order header AFIH
      AFIH-AUFNR = AUFK-AUFNR.
    * then localization in ILOA
      ILOA-ILOAN = AFIH-ILOAN.
    * Then KNVV
      KNVV-KUNNR = IHPA-PARNR+0(10).
      KNVV-VKORG = ILOA-VKORG.
      KNVV-VTWEG = ILOA-VTWEG.
      KNVV-SPART = ILOA-SPART.

  • ASCP Legacy Collections Dropping Routings with Alternate Resources

    SR# 6793428.993, (11.5.10.2)
How can we load routings with alternate resources from a legacy instance without
    dropping duplicate resources.
It appears that the last alternate routing is loaded - dropping all the other routings.
When uploading routings, through legacy collection, having alternate resources, 'duplicate' resources are dropped during ODS Load phase.
In staging data seems to be ok after Pre-Processing.
Standard collection with identical routing does not drop thee alternates.
    Requirement is:
Item has one operation with four (4) scheduled resources A,B,C,D. There is alternate resource E for resource A. So we should have either combination A,B,C,D or E,B,C,D.
There can be multiple alternate resources for A
    Customer has:
    MSCCLPPB.pls 115.151.11510.4
    The latest release is:
    MSCCLPPB.pls 115.151.11510.17
The code performing the legacy collection is identical.

    Partha,
Thanks for the response. What we want to achieve is to be able to run all these lines in parallel, which can certainly be done by using alternate resource. I've infact setup alternate resource for the below scenario but not able to get them running in parallel. Alternate resource will work only in case when primary resource doesn't have any capacity.
In this below case, ASCP was using 100% capacity for primary while for alternate resource it was suggesting to use anyone of them rather than equally divide the demand on them.
Let me know if you need more details but I couldn't find anyway to model this scenario in ASCP current configuration.
    Thanks

  • ASCP Data Collection Fails

    Dear Members :
For sake of learning, ATP in R12.1.1 Vision instance, I created a simple ATP rule with Demand as Sales Order and Supply as PO, On-hand Available.
I followed all the steps as below:
    1) After creating ATP rule and attaching it to the order mgmt tab in item master, enabled ATP at the org level.
    2) created sourcing rule for that item and assigned it to an assignment set(Supplier Scheduling).
    3) This assignment set appears by default to MRP:ATP assignment set profile option
    4) Set INV : Capable to Promise to ATP/CTP based on collected data, at responsibility level
    5) Include organizations to instance TST(default)
    6) Run ATP Data collection Program.

    Dear Shiva / Experts,
    I completed the Actions
    1. Recompiling the System Item Flexfields - In Source Instance.
    3. Refresh Collection Snapshots with Complete Mode - In Source Instance
    4) Then I tried Planning ODS Load before Data Collection (Why I launched ODS load manually is, Data collection is getting error with recommending ODS Load).
But I am getting the same old below ERROR MESSAGE.
    5) Then I tried Action plan 2 (we found one item having null value in Segment1 and we given one value and committed), then I did Actions 1, 3 and 4. But I am getting the same old Error message.
    6) After completing the Actions 1 to 5, I am in same old status.

Your answer will be most Appreciable
    Regards,
    Ramesh
    Action point 2 is
    Select count(*) FROM MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS_B where SEGMENT1 is NULL;
    Solution
    1. Confirm that the Item Staging Table does indeed have values in the Item_Name
column for all rows (in this case they did)
    2. Confirm that the mtl_system_items_b table has null Segmen1 values
    select * from apps.MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS_B where segment1 is null;
    3. Populate the missing values for SEGMENT1:
Note that we don't think it will be possible for you to edit this field, that
represents Segment1, directly in the Item Master so you will need to do it using
    this SQL statement:
    UPDATE mtl_system_items_b
    SET segment1 = &segment1
    WHERE inventory_item_id = &itemid ;
    commit;
Please make sure that SEGMENT1 value that you provide in the above script is
unique i.e. does not already exist.
