Asha 205 own number display

can anyone help? I just bought a new Asha 205 and can't display the number, so I can't top up or access customer services. The number isn't on the box or SIM card.
How do I get the phone to show me its' number and why is it so difficult to find this simple info?

BB Curve "Own Number" display issue

I have BB Curve 8900 (Javelin). I recently updated to OS 5 and since then i have issue with it. First of all the sound disappears while checking out the ring tones. (i know this a official known problem with BB when you update to OS 5 and their are still looking for solution) ..but here i have an another issue...The "My Number" thing keeps poping out whenever i make a call. I tried to disbale it but it still shows up.
Went to OPTIONS> PHONE OPTIONS>GENERAL OPTIONS>SHOW "MY NUMBER" selected "NO"
bt it still shows up..any solutions to it?
Why was OS5 launched if it has issues? looks more like a BETA version

IPhone 3G won't display own number

I have upgraded from the iPhone to the new iPhone 3G. My old iPhone would always display my own number at the top of the contacts page. This doesn't appear on my new iPhone 3G. I have taken the SIM out of the phone and put it into another to check if my own number is set ok on the sim card and it looks fine. Any way of getting this working?

I agree. Mine does this also. I think what is confusing is that when tap the top of the list, it goes to the search field. You need to "pull" the screen down a little to see the number. So it's still there, but it doesn't jump to the top to show you the number like it used to on the older software.

Are you guys on N80 or other nokia phone. I just sold my Orange SPV M600. It was good for satnav due to its big screen, but got laugh at alot when i took it out with me.
I didnt even think about the N80 when i got my SPV M600 but think its more practical for me good phone cant wait to get a butchers at the N95.
Oh and lastly iive been trying to upgrade my phone to the V4 firmware and theh nokia software keeps crashing on WINXP and on Vista it seems to be update software itself anyway if you know info that can sort this out let me know and thanks again

Great question stacybrownie! Let's get to the bottom of this so that it's not a cause for concern. When a message is sent to/from your own number, it will display as one sent, one received. This makes it display two messages as you are seeing. Let's clarify the second part of your question. Where do you see "Verizon Message" exactly? What is the long number at the end of the text? When did this start and is it with all text messages or only this instance?

Number displayed while calling.

I hate the fact that my number is displayed in LARGE numbers when i call out, but whoever I am calling is down below in 1/4 sized font!
Why would i care to have my own number shown to me every time i call out at teh top of the screen, but have to wear a magnifying glass to see if I called "Judy" or worse yet try to identify if I called her home or mobile?
Is there a way to switch it or increase the font of who I am calling?
seems like nonsense or backwards to me.
phone works great, but that drives me batty.

I`m not aware that the size of the numbers can be increased or decreased but you can turn it off if it bothers you.
Tap on the phone icon and when it opens, pull down from the top. Tap on "Settings" then select "Show my number" then tap to open it. Now you have the choice to turn OFF the "Show my number"
"Show my number" is for call ID, your number still shows at the top, the font size is very similar in the 10.3 OS.

You probably changed this setting and didn't know it...
On your BlackBerry, press the green dial key to enter the Call Log.
Press the Menu key > Options General Options > SHOW "MY NUMBER" = Yes.

*#100# will display your mobile number with Vodafone. Not sure if any other networks support this.

Not a code as such but you can get your own number by the following:
Menu > Contacts > Options > SIM contacts > SIM directory > Options > My numbers
However, the function will only display your main mobile number, if you have a separate data number then this won't be displayed.

Iphone 5s incoming call number displays incorrectly.

Whenever I call my wife's Iphone from work, the number displays incorrectly on her caller ID. It is always dropping the third number of the area code, so if my work number was 123-456-7890, then when I call her it shows up on her phone as 124-567-890, it doesn't even show a ten digit number. So far I have noticed that it only happens when I call her from the landlines at my work. I also have the exact same iphone 5s on the same carrier and the numbers display perfectly fine on my phone so I feel like it's some setting in the phone. Before switching to an iphone we had her contacts imported from an old Verizon flip phone, not sure if that has anything to do with it. Has anyone seen or heard of a similar issue?

By the way I have completely reset all content and settings several times, tried turning off international assist, tried several suggestions I found online dealing with the sim pin, switched to a different phone to have the same thing happen on that phone also. I have the same exact iphone 5s and carrier and service plan and the numbers appear perfectly on my phone. I'm so confused why this is happening.

Outgoing call log shows calls from my own number to the same number

Every so often, I pick up the phone to dial out and get a fast busy tone. I hang up, wait a few seconds, and try again, and I have dial tone and can dial out.
I have not noticed any pattern or timeframes when this occurs.
When looking at my online call log, I see calls at very random and arbitrary times of the day in the Outgoing column from my own number and TO the same number. ALWAYS after that there is an entry that the call went to voice mail. There is never an actual voice mail message, of course; I guess it hangs up before VM detects a valid message.
There appears to be an entry like this every single day, but, again, at very different times and with no discernible pattern.
Why is my own phone number trying to dial out to itself and at various times of day and night?

Having the same issue. Calls being made FROM my Maryland home landline TO a Virginia number.
I tried calling the number from my office phone, but it goes straight to an unoccupied voicemail.
When I first called about it, the Verizon representative also reassured me there was no charge for these calls, but that is not the issue. The issue is that someone or some machine has access to my home landline and it is making these calls. She was pretty insistent that it must be someone in my home, but much like others have stated, the records show that calls are made when no one is home, or when we are all home watching TV in the living room. We have one phone in the kitchen, so there are no secret calls being made. And certainly not 20+ times a month.
The first representative transferred me to another tech. At first, the new tech dismissed the idea that there could be cross-wiring (what the first tech suggested) because it's over the internet. There are no physical wires to cross.
The tech eventually ran a test and determined there was a "short bound in the wiring," so she said she was going to "reboot the ONC." I don't know what any of that means.
The test came back successful, and she was able to block the number (inbound and outbound).
I told both techs that this problem is not unique to my account; that there are several people on Verizon forums reporting the same issue.
She was not able to explain why, so we are no closer to figuring this out.
All I can recommend is calling Verizon tech support and having the number blocked. We'll see what happens with the next bill.
Also, if it's worth typing out, make sure you're reviewing your bills from Verizon. I've had to call at least five times in the 4.5 months about one thing or another.

How to Connect the Asha 205 to PC

hi..... i have Nokia Asha 205 and i wanna to connect it with my Pc and it dont have connection port... so how will i connect it .... help pllzzzz

You may use the Bluetooth instead. If your PC is not BT enabled buy a Bluetooth USB Dongle. It looks like a Pen Drive and may not cost more than USD 5.
You need to download and install the Nokia Suite on your PC to sync data ..

Own number format Y-Axis (value divided by 1000)

Hello everybody,
in WebI I have a quite simple chart.
In Y-Axis I show the values. How can I divide these values divided by 1000?
I have found the advanced format menu. But don't know the syntax how to make my own number format for this.
So for Example my value shown now is: 15.900.000 but it should be 15.900,00
Any workaround is welcome. But I would prefer not to touch the Universe and stay in WebI.

Nokia Asha 205 Not playing Mp4 Videos

I was using Nokia x2-01 before. Recently i purchased a Nokia Asha 205. I have tried to play all the video files but discovered that those in mp4 format only plays the audio part of the file and writes VIDEO NOT SUPPORTED on the screen. What can i do?

You need to convert the videos to phone supported mp4, 240*320 resolution using format factory pc software and copy the videos to your phone.

No Caller Number Display since August 2014

Caller number display ceased to function on 9th August last year.
Since the we have been through the fault reporting process 3 times. Had an aborted (by Openreach) engineer visit and received a statement letter from BT saying they are looking in to the problem, it will take time etc etc.
My equipment works at my neighbours house. The neighbours phone has been tried in my house and does not work. I have removed filters, unplugged everything, tried the Master Socket. None of these things works.
It is very tough to run my business without Caller Number Display.
Can it be fixed???
If I switch to another provider will Caller Number Display then work??
Help!
