Asha 302 wifi disconnect

Hello everyone, I have a problem with my Asha 302 wifi connection. Whenever I connect to my home wireless network, wifi stays connected for a few seconds and disconnects, when I trying to browse the internet, it connects again but after a few seconds disconnects, after 5 or so seconds it connects again and it continues in such a spiking manner. It might not be big of a problem, but I cannot download anything, every time wifi disconnects itself my download fails. Is there a reason for such kind of behavior?
Best Regards

Did it work once? Or has it never worked, yet? Which Wi-Fi access point do you use (manufacturer, model and if known, the firmware version)?

  • Asha 302 wifi problem - "WLAN connection failed"

I have nokia asha 302 two days. I have problem with wifi connection. I see "my wifi" in wifi list, but when I click connect, I get message "WLAN connection failed". Version of mobile Asha is 14.78.
I have router Ovislink WN-200R. My wifi setinngs is in attachment (set 1).
I tried to change password, change security system, set to without security system, ... - without changing. At last I found bug and one solution. When I set wifi, how is in attachment (set 2), is to possible to connect with Asha 302.
But in my house I use PC with wifi N for speed. Do you know any other solution?
PS. I use Nokia 5530, Iphone 4GS, HTC desire S too. And I don`t have this problem.
    Thanks a lot

There are several reasons why that could happen. One reason: Your network changed from WPA2-PSK back to WPA1-PSK. Some Wi-Fi access-points have silly mixed-mode settings. If your network is in mixed mode, first try the old version: WPA-only (WPA-PSK). Because some very old Wi-Fi access-points do not support WPA2 correctly even for multicast, as next step try the more secure version 2: WPA2-PSK. If that does not work:
Do you have a Mac OS X computer around?
If yes, please, go to Applications » Utilities » Terminal and enter
    /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Apple80211.framework/Resources/airport -I -s
The last part (Security) should be ‘WPA2(PSK/AES/AES)’ and nothing else.
Do you have a Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8 computer around?
If yes, please, open a command prompt (as Administrator, keys: Windows-R), and enter
    netsh wlan show networks mode=bssid
The network type has to be not Ad-hoc but Infrastructure.
    The basic rates should be ‘1 2 5.5 6 11 12 24’ (IEEE 802.11g/n) and nothing else.
Do you have a Android device around?
If yes, install the free Wifi Analyzer. Within that tool, please, tap the wrench icon (Settings) » Show full securities. Then go back and have a look at your Wi-Fi.
It must be [WPA2-PSK-CCMP][ESS] and nothing else.
If the connection still fails, please go to the configuration interface of your Wi-Fi access point and change your access-point back to the old WPA-PSK (TKIP-only) and 802.11g (only). If not available, avoid 802.11n and go for 802.11b/g. Does it work now?
If it still does not work, change your settings back to WPA2-PSK (AES-CCMP) only and 802.11g/n. Then, post the results of the above tools. If you do not like to post them into the public, you can send me a private message. But those information are public to your neighbours anyway.

  • Asha 302 doesn't want to use WiFi

So I'm a user of Nokia Asha 302 and though I generally love the phone, one problem just gives me nightmares.
Namely, I can't do almost anything requiring WiFi. The only thing that works is the stock browser - if I want to use the built-in email client, it gives me "connection error, please try again later" prompt. If i want to install opera - same thing, I can download the package from the Ovi Store but as soon as installation starts, it requires my GPRS connection rather than the WiF that it's connected to and which is working.
I have WiFi set as defaut and always select it as the desired connection method when asked to but it just doesn't work. How can I force the phone to use WiFi for such tasks and not my packets which I have to pay for?
I googled my head off and found absolutely nothing. The onky method I found involved adding some custom configs like "my web" and such and even though I followed the instructions, it hadn't helped a bit.
Could someone please tell me how to fix it?

    Hello,
Setting the mobile APN manually might help so that the phone will use WiFi when available. Please check these links for the steps required:

  • Asha 302

Hi, i just got this phone Asha 302, and I have 2 questions... The first one is, can I completely disable it from connecting to 3G, G, E, and all other provider internet connections, because it's building up my phone bill, I don't know what is it dowloading... I want it just to connect to WiFi, and only WiFi...
The second question is, is there a dropbox app or can I dowload files from dropbox in any way? I don't have the usb cable, i think it is not possible to connect direclty to my pc with it through WiFi, and I just need some files from my pc or is there any easier way to transfer the files without the cable... I don't have a memory card eather :/
    Thanks for your time...

Sorry for the late answer... But here's what I think  You'd have to download it and delete it over and over... It's not stupid, I
don't get it either... I won't be installing it again, but it didn't
hurt my balance with gmail and other accounts when I logged on WiFi, and
deleted the accounts after using them ( it automatically saves accounts as
soon as you log in, and then checks for new mail and stuff if you don't
delete them, if I figured it out right). I guess it's the same with
whatsapp, but I didn't try it... You can try and see if it does affect your
balance while you use it on WiFi, it's logical to me that it doesn't, but
nothing here is logical, so you'll just have to try and see... I'm glad
I could help, I know how **bleep** off I was trying to figure this s*** out...
xD Way too complicated for such a simple thing, the part that annoys me the
most is the fact that you can't disable it from doing that in the phone
settings... -.- Try using whatsapp on WiFi and see if it works without
hurting your balance... Reply either way, I'm curious if it works...
    Good luck...

  • I can't be the only one with this issue. MacBook Pro Retina Late-2013 WiFi disconnects after waking up from sleep.

Did anyone buy a MacBook Pro Retina 13" from Best Buy this Black Friday?
I'm having an issue where the WiFi disconnects after the MacBook wakes from sleep but only after a couple of minutes.
Once the WiFi disconnects, I can't reconnect to the same network and sometimes it won't find nearby networks.
I have to turn off the WiFi and wait for at least 5 seconds before turning it back on for it to auto-reconnect to my home network.
If I wait less than 5 seconds, it will continue to attempt connection to the home network but won't connect.
I've tried reformatting and deleting my network configurations as well as resetting my modem, power cycling it, etc.
    I am using 2Wire Gateway modem/router from AT&T on b/g network.
I've tried connecting to a friend's network under Time Warner Cable and the same issue occurs.
I exchanged the MacBook at a Best Buy for a brand unopened one (I hope) and the same exact thing happens with this new one.
Really, I can't be the only one with this issue. Unless in a 0.00001% chance I received two defective units in a row?
Please.. does anyone have a clue why this is happening?

You're definitely not the only one.  I have the same issue.  I spent 6 hours over multiple days on the phone with Apple support trying a variety of things (some of which are mentioned above), and none of them worked.  They finally sent me a replacement laptop.  I made sure to try it periodicaly as I was moving files and installing applications to see if I ran into it again and things seemed okay at first but now I am running into the same issue and it is terribly annoying.  I've got 5 other devices that connect to the same router and I've never had this issue with any of them.
My router is a Linksys E2000.  I haven't tried changing the router channel but I have tried to cnnecting to other networks in the building I live in and I have run into the same issue there.

  • Wifi disconnect issue w new Mac

I bought a new Mac about a week ago.  Right away I started experiencing wifi disconnect issues.  I called customer support line and they had me reset the eprom.  I don't recall the key sequence now. The problem went away for a week but has now returned.  Is this a hardware quality issue?

right my friend, you know this is not an uncommon issue with mac, all my macs have the same issue (macbook, mac pro, mac mini and older imac), i disconnect the wifi and reconnect to sole the issue. it depends alot on what you have thats goign on around you, if there is a lot of wireless networks in your area then this might cause the issue. i improved this problem using a time machine and set the wireless to 5ghz only - it helped. i also bought an airport express to strengthen the network and touchwood this is a rare problem for me now!
try moving the modem around in case it this - ensure its not on the floor or touching the floor, there are many tips for improving modem connections look on youtube
however the sequence for this is on

  • Speed of whatsapp with Nokia Asha 302

I am a long time Nokia fan and wanted to buy Nokia Asha 302. I would prefer having a qwerty physical keypad and this is the best option available in Nokia now.
I am using an android phone too with 1.2GHZ dual core processor + 1 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory
Nokia Asha has 1 GHZ single core processor + 128 MB RAM and 100 MB onboard memory.
Whatsapp takes a lot of space and memory atleast in Android.
Will the application be cope up on Asha 302 which doesn't have great hardware?

Actually the thing is that the Asha runs a very light java based OS and here apps can't be that heavy. Talking of whatsapp, the application size is barely 2MB and runs in its alloted 4MB of heap and now you're going to feel some difference in the quality of the apps in android and as in asha. Don't expect whatsapp integration directly in your address book and the gallery.
But i must say that whatsapp does run smoothly and perfectly in the Asha phones. Not a super rich experience, but its simplicity has its own class. You are able to send messages smoothly and emojis can be used aswell.
Another thing worth mentioning is that whatsapp team is working continuously to improve the app. Not sure about the 302, but Voice messaging has been introduced in the touch based Asha phones.
Besides the 302, you can also have a look at the newer 210. But yeah it has lesser hardware speas than the 302. But still a nice option if you are not looking for 3G.

  • Wifi disconnect randomly

And this disconnecting & reconnecting continues for regular interval (5 mins once). Its really make me irritating and need ur help to sort out this issue..

Network preferences may be corrupted ...
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
    /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration
Click Go then move all the files in the SystemConfiguration folder to the Trash.
See if that makes a difference.
Your Mac will generate a new SystemConfiguration folder for you.

  • View middle name in contact list, nokia asha 302

    Hello everyone.
I have a problem. I have a big contact list and there are contacts with middle names. But I can't understand how can I see contact's middle name in my Nokia Asha 302 contact list.
I saw the same problem here: http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Eseries-and-Communicators/How-to-display-First-Name-Middle-Name-Last... But there's no help answers.
Does anybody know, is it possible to view middle names in contact list? I don't want to edit all middle names by concatinating first and middle name.

On certain devices (especially S40 such as the Nokia Asha 302) the 'Middle Name' Field may not be possible. It may not be available under 'Add Details' too ...

  • Constant Wifi Disconnect After Moving To SystemD

    Hi All,
I used netcfg for months with a WPA2 connection using the initscripts. I finally moved to systemD. I was getting dbus errors from systemD using systemctl so updated via pacman which fixed the errors. I did this within minutes apart so not for sure if a kernel update broke something - stupid move on my part.
Any how I followed the wiki guide for netcfg, within a few minutes and after a reboot was happily working away.  I configured the wifi like so:
    systemctl enable netcfg@gloryhole
Then the wifi disconnecting started at random intervals but very quickly, what seems to be less than 3 minutes.

After reading some forums they recommended net-auto-wireless.
    systemctl enable net-auto-wireless
Still no luck, another forum recommended removing netcfg and trying some thing else, since they had constant disconnects. I installed wicd and disabled services that could conflict with wicd.  Disconnect problem still exists
I verified hardware is OK, in windoze wifi card works great, pulled down many gigs with no problem testing. My laptop has native systemD install with wicd and works great so nothing with my AP.

So still being frustrated and tired of having a long cat5 cable across my house I decided to take another whack at this.
First thing first I disabled WPA2 on the AP and let it wide open, even though every other device was working. Was hoping to rule out wpa but instead it got worse.
I first tried netcfg, after removing everything I could find on wicd. The issue with netcfg is I could connect but couldn't surf. A little testing showed that there is a problem with the wifi link established. It won't allow much or any traffic to go through. Pings barely work, surfing was hit and miss.
I decided to just connect via cli, once again removed netcfg, wicd, removed any trace files, disabled related services and rebooted to remove previous entries.

Interesting thing is I am getting a different deauthenticating reason, originally was 2. Deauthenticated reason=3 means "deauthenticated because sending STA is leaving (or has left) IBSS or ESS     The access point went offline, deauthenticating the client" or AP went offline, which it did not. (src: http://www.aboutcher.co.uk/2012/07/linu … on-codes/).
Keep in mind I run my house on the same wifi so if anything went down somebody always tracks me down to fix it. Also my ISP link is not the problem as I was downloading at the same time and not saturating my pipe.  At this point I think it is just easier to run a cable under the house and mount a jack. Ideas?
