Assert error once I exit indesign

Hi All.,
I am developing a plugin for my client. The plugin seems to working fine. But once I close the plugin window and exit indesign I get an assertion error followed by memory leaks message.
I am posting the error below:
~InstanceList(): 1 outstanding references to UID 9001 (Class Unknown3rdPartyPrefix + 6 (0xfe606)).
\Development\firedrake\source\components\database3\main\InstanceList.cpp (1784)
~InstanceList(): 2 outstanding references to UID 4160 (Class ShuksanPrefix + 8 (0x108)).
~InstanceList(): 1 outstanding references to UID 4159 (Class ShuksanPrefix + 8 (0x108)).
~InstanceList(): 1 outstanding references to UID 25 (Class ShuksanPrefix + 8 (0x108)).
Can somebody provide me a solution.
Thanks
Vishnu

Hi!<br /><br />Dunno if this helps you (from ww-plugin.pdf, page 36):<br /><br />Generally, Query*** methods (commonly known as bridge methods, see Using databases and<br />objects in plug-ins on page 37) return a pointer to an interface derived from IPMUnknown,<br />and also increment the reference count. However, you would still like to take advantage of the<br />automated cleanup provided by InterfacePtr. To prevent reference counts from incrementing,<br />like in Type 1a and 1b, use this constructor, which does not call IPMUnknown::AddRef:<br />InterfacePtr<IGeometry> iPageGeometry(iSpread->QueryNthPage(0));<br />The following line of code looks perfectly innocent, but if you execute this and quit InDesign,<br />then you will get a boss leak:<br />InterfacePtr<IGeometry> iPageGeometry(iSpread->QueryNthPage(0), UseDefaultIID());<br />Look carefully: ISpread->QueryNthPage(0) increments the reference count and also, by means<br />of InterfacePtr constructor Type 1a, the reference count increments again.<br />The easiest remedy is to remove UseDefaultIID. However, if you leave it as is, and fail to notice<br />that a call to iPageGeometry->Release is necessary, you will get a boss leak.<br /><br />Short version: If you create an InterfacePtr with QuerySomething, I think you have to release it afterwards.

  • DDE Server Window Error Exiting InDesign 7.5.1 (CS 5.5)

I just installed CS 5.5 on an XP SP3 PC.  We previously used CS2.  I had the user open files created under CS2 InDesign in the new CS 5.5 InDesign.  The files opened and displayed with no issues in InDesign.  However, when she exits InDesign she gets a DDE Server Windows error dialog box.
DDE Server Window: InDesign.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x#####b##" referenced memory at "0x###d#f##".  The memory could not be "read".
I ran all updates for InDesign and it shows as version 7.5.1.
I saw a post in the PhotoShop forums of the same type of DDE error if you open a file and exit without saving, but it does not matter if I save the file or do not save the file.  I still get the DDE error when exiting InDesign.
Any ideas on how to resolve the error?
    Thanks,
    Rick

    of course, missing links! Dóh!
2 weeks ago we upgraded 3 of 8 PC from CS4 to 5.5.
All 3 PC´shave the same issue with the same files. the other 5 computers are working still with CS4, without a problem on the same file!
adobe often causes different problem in the company, so we know about the Adobe cleaner tool.
I have deinstalled cs4, run the cleaner tool and then installed cs5.5. I hope i dont have to reinstall again...
I dont work myself with Adobe products, but i have to troubleshoot, which is not easy if you dont know how it works...

  • Application Manager gives back error (EX11) while installing InDesign CS6 (error while extracting in

Hello, I need help regarding the Application Manager
Application Manager gives back the error (EX11) while installing InDesign CS6 (error while extracting in temporary folders).
I don´t have problems installing PS, Acrobat etc.
    Any idea?
    Thanks

I would have never figured that out myself. Thank you so much! On behalf on my dad a big thanks as well, because he is going to use Adobe InDesign CC (2014).
Here, a local, standard user account worked for me. However, the password of an Administrator account was required once.
Here, any username longer than 13 created that error code, for example I tried "AInDesignCC14" unsuccessfully. Usernames with 12 or less characters worked, for example "InDesignCC14" worked.
Just renaming an existing account did not work, because the personal folders did not change in name. Therefore, I was forced to create a new account.

  • Code Error 5 message in Indesign CS4

Sorry second part, I brought a new internal hard drive for my desktop computer had Tekserve here in New York City install the hard drive in my Intel Mac IMac computer. Reloaded all of my Premium CS4 creative suite software into this new hard drive all with all of my other software fresh from the cd rons. I was also told about 6 months back that there may have been a problem with my internal computer's  hard drive. So everything is fresh and I'm still having this same code error 5 and having Indesign CS4 tell me once again that my book file has a code error 5 happens. Adobe Indesign technicians tell me once this code error 5 happens the files are corrupted and can not be open again. So all this happen again using Idesign CS4 taking all of the steps above..

  • Assertion Error in Transaformation

    Hi Guru's,
We are on SP 10 2004s NW.
Once the transformation is created and activated successfully.  If I go back and add some fields or modify the Rules in the transformation then I am getting ASSERTION ERROR.  Some how the system is creating a new RULE GROUP "00" under the "STANDARD RULE GROUP" and that is causing the assertion error.
Could any one provide a solution to resolve this issue, please.
    Your help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

I have the exact same error situation and same system (NW2004s level 10)
I found 2 records with GROUPTYPE =  'space'
and REF_RULE  <> 'space'.  For both GROUPID is 00 but for some reason I cannot select on 00 in the selection screen.
Deleted the 2 records and the 00 group disappeared and I was able to activate the transformation!
P.S.: the note could be misread to delete all records with GROUPTYPE = 'S' (standard)...
Don't think you should do that!
    grts,
    Edwin

  • When I try to disable cellular data in the settings for my apps it will toggle fine, but once I exit and go back in to the cellular settings its back on again all by itself.

I have had a problem with my iphone 4s for some time now but I have just been so busy to try and fix it. When I try to disable cellular data in the settings for my apps it will toggle fine, but once I exit and go back in to the cellular settings its back on again all by itself. However, even though it says the data is on, I can’t use the data when I don’t have wifi. I tried restoring my phone a few times and the last time I did that, it wouldn’t turn my service on so I had to talk with a Verizon agent for a long time trying to fix it and finally they simply sent me another phone. I thought hey new phone, this part will be fixed. However, I got my service to work but it’s still the same problem with the cellular data. I have just left it alone and not worried about it, but it’s still not fixed and thought I could ask on here if anyone had any ideas. It has something to do with the apps actually installed on the iphone. Apps like the mail, safari, settings, itunes apps, etc. All my other apps turn on and off just fine. Does anyone have any ideas?

Read the User's Guide... it covers how to backup and sync the device as designed.

Sounds like an activation issue. Quite Premiere Pro. Sign out of Creative Cloud. Restart Premiere Pro. Sign back in: http://bit.ly/CC-sign-out

  • Labview RT 14.0 Scheduler Assert%3A __1276 Scheduler Assertion Error%3A 80000004

We have a multithreaded CVI app (~20 threads) running on a PXIe-8135 (4 CPUs).   The application never gets done starting all the threads before blue-screening with the following error:
    Scheduler Asser: __1276
    Scheduler Assertion Error: 80000004
    Interrupt Disabled. Scheduler Enabled.  ....
    More details:
    System
    Chassis 1 PXIe-1085:
        PXIe-8135 Controller
PXI-6704 (7 of them), initialize properly, thread runs successfully until blue screen
PXI-8431/8 (8 of these, total of 64 RS422 channels, about 40 being used currently for test), it is during the starting of these threads (one for each board) that it blue screens
PXIe-8374 (for using Chassis 2 as an extension of Chassis 1)
    Chassis 2 PXIe-1075:
        PXI-8370 (connected to PXIe-8374)
        PXI-6528 (1) threads run fine
        PXI-6529 (4) threads run fine
        NI-8234 (4) not used currently
The scheduler error happens at different times, but always during the starting of the RS422 threads.  Can anybody give a hint as to why the Scheduler Assertion Error occurs, and particularly this specific error?

    Hi,
I have a couple of questions for you.
    1) Has this application ever worked?
    2) Can you attempt to replicate this issue with less RS422 channels? Basically, is there a maximum number of RS422 channels where the error is received, or if you had only 1 channel being used, would the error still happen?
    3) Do you have another PXIe controller that you can try?
    4) Did anything change in your system that would have caused the error?

I have carefully reviewed JAVASCRIPT files and I could see that these are not a major influence within the site, only are reference code and utilities of the same application.
By removing these files nothing has stopped working, I thought I would have some error in the sliders, or opacities, but no, nothing happened.

  • Assert error in __memp_fget under OS X/Linux using TXN_SNAPSHOT

    Hi all,
Hopefully this is a good place to file a bug report. I've been hunting down the cause of a core dump for a couple of weeks and have finally reduced it to a [small example|http://home.comcast.net/~jonathanmeredith/bugrpt.tar.gz] (I couldn't find a way to attach it to the message).
    README from the tarball:
The code sample enclosed causes BDB to die with an assertion error. This is the minimal
code that causes the bug, stripped down from an Erlang port driver. It may look strange
and ugly, but it only exists to reproduce the bug.
To reproduce expand the tarball into a directory containing the BDB tarball and run make.
It will compile the library and test code then start looping through the test code. The
assertion usually occurs anywhere between 1 and 50 iterations through the test code.
The bug occurs under Mac OS X 10.5.7 (9J61) running on an 8 core [email protected] mac pro,
8Gb RAM, compiled with i686-apple-darwin9-gcc-4.2.1 and under Debianl Lenny on
    4 core Xeon 5160 @ 3.00GHz, 8Gb RAM, libc 2.7-18, gcc (Debian 4.3.2-1.1) 4.3.2.
    Expected output:
assert failure: ../dist/../mp/mp_fget.c/257: "bhp != NULL"

    ./loopbug: line 20: 52562 Abort trap ../bugrpt
Removing the TXN_SNAPSHOT options makes the bug go away. So does changing the size of the 'put' value.
Reducing the number of the THREADS #define increases the number of iterations required to hit the assert.
On the 4-core Debian box it took 377 reps with THREADS=2

    Hi Jon,
Thanks for a great test case, this made our job a little easier! If you could please send me an email to: michael dot brey at oracle dot com, I will respond to you with a patch of this issue for 4.7.

  • Assertion Error: Cannot Load Dyamically Generated Stub

    Hi Everyone,
I am getting an Assertion Error in Weblogic 9.2, the root cause being a ClassNotFoundException for a dynamically-generated WL Stub for an Oracle JDBC wrapper. The partial stacktrace is as follows:
ASSERTION FAILED *****[Could not find dynamically generated class: 'weblogic.jdbc.rmi.internal.ResultSetImpl_weblogic_jdbc_wrapper_ResultSet_oracle_jdbc_driver_OracleResultSetImpl_920_WLStub']
    Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: weblogic.jdbc.rmi.internal.ResultSetImpl_weblogic_jdbc_wrapper_ResultSet_oracle_jdbc_driver_OracleResultSetImpl_920_WLStub
So...not sure if the RMI stub is never generated because/or there is something dorked up in my classpath re: Oracle. Any insight would be awesome
    Thanks!

    Hi yoster,
I have the same problem, but I couldn't solve the problem by removing a war file like you did.
    It's nearly the same stacktrace:
ASSERTION FAILED *****[ Could not find dynamically generated class: 'weblogic.jdbc.rmi.internal.StatementImpl_weblogic_jdbc_wrapper_Statement_oracle_jdbc_driver_T4CStatement_921_WLStub' ].
    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: weblogic.jdbc.rmi.internal.StatementImpl_weblogic_jdbc_wrapper_Statement_oracle_jdbc_driver_T4CStatement_921_WLStub
    My database is also oracle.
Do you have other ideas that could sold this ?
I hope you do, because I'm stuck ... don't know where to look anymore :(

This turned out to be our fault - we were told that the servers are running
sp11 but when we later checked using the admin tool, we found that wasn't
the case on this machine. sp11 was in the classpath but the directory was
wrong. I guess that's the downside to the way WL SPs work, the jvm doesn't
tell you when you have an invalid filename in the classpath so you don't
know that you are not actually running with the sp.
On the thread issue you mention, the traceback below originates in a startup
class which does manage its own threads. Isn't this a valid way to invoke
    beans in weblogic?

It's hard to say why you're seeing this assertion error. I would
suggest that you contact [email protected]
However, I can see that you are using your own threads within the
WebLogic server. This is not allowed and might be the cause of your
    problems.

    Hi,
We are running WL 4.5.1 with SP 11 on NT and Oracle 8i as the database.
After the server has been running for quite a while and there is fair
    amount
of activity, the server throws the following exception. Any ideas aboutwhat
this exception means or why it is thrown?
