Assignment of Personal resource on PPOME

We are on MRS 7.0 and I am trying to configure and test the system to get the demands show up on the planning board.
I have done the configuration as per the config guide, defined the HR work center and linked it to a Logistics work center.
On PPOME transaction, I am not able to choose the view 'Assingment of personal resource' to see the linkage between a Person to a HR work center and to a logistics work center.
How do I define a resource planner ?
What steps are required to link the resource planner to a person / user ?
I would appreciate if someone could post what steps need to be done from the HR side, other then the above ones.

My activity type UOM and the work UOM are the same.
I would explain again the scenario, I have created a internal processing activity and the work UOM is HR as well as the activity type UOM is HR and to that i have assigned an internally processing activity element with work UOM as M3 and the activity type UOM also as M3.
Now, while i am in CMP2, I am not able to assign the work force to both activity and activity element. The conflict is the UOM. Hope now I am clear.

The relevant parameter to identify an individual will be p_assignment_id.
You will need a query to obtain the relevant assignment_id from the given CWK number on the person row
Edited to add : whilst you are about it, you'll need to obtain the assignment object_version_number as well - that will be needed for the p_object_version_number parameter

No assignment to org model in PPOME possible

Hello,
When I try to assign in the org model/PPOME (ECC6.0) a person to a position, the system allows that for some persons u2013 for some not. If not, the message u201CNo entry found, 5W800u201C is issued. If I would try to create the relationship A/008 via PP02, the system issues u201CValidity period of record not within validity period of P 0000XXXX, Message no. 5A039u201D.
Can anybody please explain me whatu2019s going on?

--> I think this is also not the problem as org unit and position (PLANS, STELL) are both empty in PA0001.

The employee records were transferred from another system into my system via ALE. In the source system the records were created via an interface (I assume). In the source system OM is not used.

No, they donu2019t. All records havenu2019t a position assigned in PA0001.

There is only one difference for the employees who donu2019t work: In PA30 on IT "org. assignment" is field personnel area two times displayed with two different values, even that it is the same field:
On the top of the screen:             P0001-WERKS, screen number 0100.
Section enterprise structure:     P0001-WERKS, screen number 2000.
From PA0001-table I can see that these employees have changed their personell area in the past (in the source system). Those records were transfered into my system via ALE, too.

The employees are active in the related period.

Error while assigning the persons to the Project activities

Dear Experts,
In Workforce planning, I am facing the below error
No requirements were found for the selection criteria
Message no. C#043
I have created a project and assigned the work center to the activities, the work center is having the persons assigned. I have maintained other formula as SAP007 in the work center capacities tab.
In the network activity when I choose the option to calculate work, the work is calculated correctly, and in the network header Capacity requirements tick is enabled. But still I am not able to assign the persons in Trnx CMP2.
Can you please advise on the above to resolve the issue.
Note: The project status is CRTD.

Hi,
This problem mainly arises when scheduling is not done. Schedule the WBS under which these activities fall. The WBS should not have the status as NTUP. Note that these comments are in addition to what Ahmed has mentioned in his post.
Also check you workforce planning profile if need be. Try this and revert.

How to assign contact person with user id to vendor via upload

Dear All,
We have successfully uploaded external business partner (Vendor) from ECC6 to SRM5.0 via BBPGETVD. So vendor is available in PPOMV_BBP.
Now we would like to assign the contact person with user ID to this vendor so that he can logon to our system and update Bid.
If we create contact person (employee) via "Manage Business Partner", system provides the option to create contact person and User ID under "Employee for Business Partner".
But we can create contact person one by one, if our client have 600 vendors from ECC and already transferred to SRM.
How to rapidly create and assign contact person to all vendors ?
Who have any ideas for upload via text file or excel sheet please advice me.

Exception while assigning redhat(fedora) resource to user

I configured a new redhat(fedora) resource in IDM, and, which had passed thru the 'Test Configuration'. The problem is while assigning the Fedora resource to a user , there is always an exception reads:

Can't call method listResourceObjects on class com.waveset.ui.FormUtil ==> com.waveset.exception.ItemNotFound: Resource:Red Hat Linux
Does it mean I didn't config the readhat resource properly? Please help!

Maybe I didn't make my question clear enough, ok, Testing configuration for redhat(fedora) is successful, the exception occured in create user account UI, when i assigned fedora resource to the user in tab Assignments, and switched to another tab, say Security, then IDM prompted the exception message :

And finally if i click on save button, the user will be saved in IDM, and whose corresponding account is created in redhat (redora) as well!!! Please shed some light on this.

Is it a good idea update active Table of ODS behind an ABAP Program Z?, I understood that you can't have log history... and you can't delete request.. because you will not generate this..
We actually have one ODS that contain invoices... all the fields that contain the invoice..like material, vendor, etc.. was updated according to ABAp programa that we specify on start routine, each time that we need to update these fields we need to unload fros ODS to PSA and load again with dtp...
Let me copy more details:
Actually, we have an DSO that is updated each week, we load the information into different PSA, all of this PSA pass to ODS for one info source and transformation rule, in this transformation rule we have an ABAP rotine that have some validation and assign some values for different fields.
In this procees everthing look fine, actually If we need to update this information from DSO (that was loaded and the user need to update some fields) we need to download information from DSO to PSA and load again with DTP process, this was fine.
Actually the user want that this kind of changes will be apply on line, this mean that for example all the invoices that I have actually loaded into DSO need to be analyzed and update according new parameters that they specify in other tables.
The DSO is standard, and contain three basis tables, active, delta, modified.
My question is: Is it possible update directly table of active records of DSO with one Z program?? is it a good idea?, We want to discard the option of unload and load information each time that they need to update certain field that are calculated or updated whit the transformation rule or load.

I have been still reading docs for this topics. Now yes you are right there are 2 places for adding HR to work center. As I have read there is a reason for this.
If you add HR to work center you will add people to work center indirectly. Now I'm not sure yet if I should add HR work center to work center and then add people to capacity in addition. But I will check it soon.
And the second way is to add people from HR to capacity directly.
The benefit for this second way - directly to capacity - is you can use capacity of added to work center people as standard capacity of this work center.

Assigning a person to two projects at a same time with different salary

Will you record the time worked for each project and pay accordingly, or will you pay 3 & 8 hours fixed?
If the second one is the case, what comes to my mind is you can assign him in IT0008 a base salary with wage type PR01 and this would refer to the full-time project.
The the salary for the second projects may be given to the employee via IT0015 in terms of amount directly or hours.
However, this scenario has nothing to do with the project system module or timesheet data.

Reschedule after assigning additional/other resource

Hi,
I can't figure out a solution to the following. Say I have two tasks and I assign the same resource to both tasks. MS Project warns me that the resource is overallocated because both tasks are scheduleded to start on the same date. I reschedule the resources
based on availability so the second task starts after the first one is finished. Now when I later decide to assign an extra or other resource to the first task, the first task gets either done by someone else or will finish earlier. All fine! But
this means that task 2 can start earlier as well. MS Project doesn't move the task forward by itself. The only way I see to do this is linking the two tasks. Problem with that is that task 1 and 2 are not necessarily linked to eachother because task 2
can only be done when task 1 is finished. Starting task 2 after 1 is just because the resource would get overallocated otherwise.
Is there a way to reschedule the task automatically when I assign another or extra resource without linking them? The only way I found is by moving the task, but that doesn't allways give good results and isn't automatically.

Hi,
This is a typical example of using the wrong tool for the right question. Overalocation of resources in Project is solved by resource leveling. Do not change the availability of the resource: Leveling will shhift one of the tasks enough to avoid the overallocation.
And when additional resources' availability comes in, a new Leveling will automatically adjust the tasks' planning according to that. All automatic-it is made for that.

Is it possible to assign resources to a project or create a new requirement using the Resources tab in Project screen (HTML page) without implementing the Project Resource Management module. With Project Management you can assign resources to the work plan. Resources might be named people or generic resource by job.
You can track planned hours by resource versus actual time worked, You can look at roll-up of planned hours across multiple projects for the same resource, or summarization of planned and actual hours using the RBS.
However, you will not get the functionality of demand published to resource managers, and the search functionality for available person to join the requiring project.

Hours assigned to a resource are not showed in CAT2

We have configured cproject in order to hours are entered by CAT2. When a employee assigned to a task enter in CAT2 see this task-WBS in his worklist ( this works OK), The problem we have found is hours assigned in cproject are not being retrieved in CAT2.
My question is, Is it possible hours planned for a resource in a task in cproject were showed in worklist in CAT2 when this resource enter as employee?

Thanks for your help. Yes, my ECC is on EHP3. Cproject and WBS are showed in the worklist, this works fine, but hours are empty.
For your answer I understand hours can be transfer to cproject to CAT2 worklist , If this is correct I suppouse my problem can be in CAT2 settings instead of cproject settings.

I case u need to assign some external labors, they have to be maintained in the HR master data as external employees. Then u can do workforce planning and also do the CATS timesheet entry.
