hi friends,
can anybody help me to assign customers to the customer hierarchy
i am facing issues and getting errors like higher level is not defined, lower level is not defined and sales organization is not permitted etc...
thanks
sreeni...

Hi,
To avoid this need to check or follow the below customization.
1st Need to define Define Hierarchy Type say standard A and assign Partner function 1A ( this as be be defined in partner fucntions)
2nd as said need to define partner functions as 1A, 1B,1C and 1D.
when u frist define 1A give partner type KU, error gruoup 07, higher level as 1B, cust hierarchy type A.
Then defien 1B give partner type KU, error gruoup 07, higher level as 1C, cust hierarchy type A.
Then defien 1C give partner type KU, error gruoup 07, higher level as 1D, cust hierarchy type A.
Then defien 1D give partner type KU, error gruoup 07, cust hierarchy type A.
3rd assign the account group and higher level accout group to customer hierarchy
customer hierarchy type A, account group 0001 and higher level account group 0001.
4th then assign the sales area you are using to customer hierarchy type.
customer hierarchy type is A, and your sales are, same sales area as hight level too.
5th assign the customer hierarchy type to the sales order.
You can change the standard and use Z for partner funtions and for customer hierarchy type
Ensure that the partner functions are assigned to sales document partner procedure too.

  • Problem in Customer Hierarchy

    Hi all,
I have a problem in creating customer hierarchy in CRM.
    According to SAP HELP:
Before you create a CRM account hierarchy from an ERP customer hierarchy, you first have to:
    ●      Perform an initial load of the necessary Customizing settings from SAP ECC to SAP CRM.
Use the initial load in CRM (transaction R3AS) in CRM Middleware and the Customizing object DNL_CUST_THIT.
    ●      Map the ERP customer hierarchy categories to the CRM account hierarchies.
For more information about mapping, see in the Implementation Guide (IMG) Customer Relationship Management ® Master Data ® Business Partner ® Account Hierarchy ® Data Exchange of ERP Customer Hierarchies with SAP CRM ® Assign ERP Customer Hierarchy Type to CRM Hierarchy Category.
My problem stuck here where in the R/3 Hierarchy Type, the F4 help value does not show any value. I checked in R3, there is a standard entry A for customer hierarchy. Could any one help me on this?
    ●      Download the ERP table KNVH (customer hierarchies) to SAP CRM.
Use the initial load in SAP CRM (transaction R3AS) with the business object DNL_BUPA_KNVH. A copy of the ERP table KNVH is replicated to SAP CRM to create the account hierarchy from it.
    cheers,
    ginnie

    Hello Ginnie,
Reason might be that initial download of DNL_CUST_THIT  was not complete.
Check SM58 to see if there's an error, when the system was trying to download the hierarchy. Please go also to trx. st22 to see if there is a TIMEOUT dump related to this download. If so, you can try to increase the parameter rdisp/max_wprun_time and start again the download of the hierarchy.
Also some of the attached OSS Note 522815 might help for more details. Check also Note 516725 it might be helpful.
    Thanks

And when I am giving it manually in sales doc header, system is giving this error message:
"Partners in the specified partner function cannot be processed online. The program generates them and completes the data automatically".
    Pls Help

  • Restricting Customer Hierarchy Type for VDH1N

    Greetings,
I am currently attempting to restrict the t-code VDH1N as there is a request to restrict the Customer Hierarchy Type within the transaction code.  I have executed VDH1N and analyzed the ST01 trace results and found no authorization objects which relate to this field within the t-code.
SAP simply checks for the following objects the way the system is currently configured:  S_TCODE (standard check), S_PROJECT, and V_KNA1_VKO.  I then resorted to checking SU24 to see whether any of the objects relate to Customer Hierarchy Type and here is what I found (none seem to relate to this field):
    S_ADMI_FCD     System Authorizations
    S_DATASET     Authorization for file access
    S_DEVELOP     ABAP Workbench
    S_DOKU_AUT     SE61 Documentation Maintenance Authorization
    S_GUI          Authorization for GUI activities
S_PRO_AUTH     IMG: New authorizations for projects
    S_PROJECT     Project Management: Project authorization
S_RFC          Authorization Check for RFC Access
S_TCODE          Transaction Code Check at Transaction Start
    S_TRANSLAT     Translation environment authorization object
V_KNA1_VKO     Customer: Authorization for Sales Organizations
I performed a search on this forum and there is no mention of t-code VDH1N either.  Can anyone suggest any possibilities to restrict this field using standard authorization objects?
    Thanks and Kind Regards.

    Hi,
I quickly checked the code and it looks like there is no check for Customer Hierarchy Type. You need to go with custom object.  There is a routine check_authority where all authorization checks for sales. org.,distr. channel and division are performed. It looks like a good spot to add custom authorization check. You can easily enhance it using one of twi implicit enhancement points: start and end of routine.
    Cheers

  • User Exit or BADI For Customer Hierarchy Maintainence- VDH1N

    Hi All,
I need User Exit or BADI for the Customer Hierarchy Maintainence VDH1N Tansaction.
I need to Capture all the Changes done to the Customer Hierarchy by the User in ECC.
    Thanxs.

    Hi,
Follow these steps to find BADI...
    1. Go to the TCode SE24 and enter CL_EXITHANDLER as object type.
    2. In 'Display' mode, go to 'Methods' tab.
    3. Double click the method 'Get Instance' to display it source code.
    4. Set a breakpoint on 'CALL METHOD cl_exithandler => get_class_name_by_interface'.
    5. Then run your transaction.
    6. The screen will stop at this method.
    7. Check the value of parameter 'EXIT_NAME'. It will show you the BADI for that transaction.

  • Customer Hierarchy download in CRM7.0 Web UI

    Hi Experts
Need your expert advice on the below issue:
We are using customer hierarchy from ECC to SAP CRM7.0 for one of our client. I have performed the below steps to bring ECC customer hierarchy to CRM.
    SAP ECC System:
1.Hierarchy node is created thru tcode- v-12
2.Customer hierarchy is created thru tcode- VDH1N
    Replication steps in CRM:
1.Replicate Customer Hierarchy Customizing thru TCode- R3AS, download object DNL_CUST_THIT .
2.Assign ERP Customer Hier. to CRM hierarchy category in SPRO .
3.Replicate Customer Hier thru Tcode u2013R3AS , download object DNL_BUPA_KNVH.
4.Create account hierarchy thru Tcode- BPH_DNL , we need to create the hierarchy only for the sales area 0001,01,01.  So I have selected sales the required sales area only.
5.I checked in web ui  and found the result for account hierarchies.
    Current Result:
a.ECC hierarchy downloaded, however descriptions for the hierarchy nodes are missing in CRM web ui.
b.Customer assigned to ECC hierarchy can be seen in the u201CAccount Hierarchy Detailsu201D assignment block , however I could not see the customers in u201C Assigned Accountsu201D assignment block.
    6.Expected Result :
a.ECC hierarchy display with description in u201C Account Hierarchy Detailsu201D assignment block.
    b.Display customeru2019s information in u201C Assigned Accountsu201D assignment block.
Can anybody support and provide the information if we are missing any configuration step ? or the result is the correct behavior of standard system ?
I would really appreciate your help on this.
    Regards

    Hi Tanya
My issue is got sovled with SAP note 1398619 .However, for the second issue there is no finding.
I am assuming ,that is standard SAP CRM behaviour , if we assign any account in crm , that will be shown in the assignment block.

  • Customer Hierarchy Partner determination in a Sales Order using Payer ?

    Dear SD Experts/Gurus
We use Customer Hierarchies extensively in Sales Orders for Pricing & Rebates and it all works fine.
The Hierarchy structure consists at the bottom level of a SoldTo linked to a Hierarchy Customer and many SoldTos can have the same Hierarchy Customer.
We set price conditions at the Hierarchy Customer and that all works fine.
We would like to change our Customer Hierarchy to link the Hierarchy Customer to the Payer rather than to all the individual SoldTos.
This is because we have many SoldTos linked to 1 Payer and this will allow us to have simpler Customer Hierarchy structures making it easier to setup and maintain.
I have changed the SAP configuration to do this and I can certainly maintain the Customer Hierarchy without any problem using transaction VDH1N.
But when I create a Sales Order, the Hierarchy Customer does not get pulled through to the Sales Order Header Partners based on the Order Payer and hence no Hierarchy Customer price conditions are pulled through.
Is what I'm trying to do possible in SAP ?
If so please advise how this can be achieved.
    Thanks David

    Hello,
I have a similar requirement, although we are building the hierarchies directly in CRM (as we are with BP's in general), and I am using hierarchy category 01 - PRICING.
What I have found is that a sold-to BP must:
    1. be assigned to a hierarchy node
    2. appear TWICE (!!!) in the document part.det.procedure, once in partner function 000001 (sold to) and again in partner function 00000121 (Authorized partner: sold to).
When the sold to customer exists in both functions within the document, I am able to determine the hierarchy node properly.
Now, my question is, can anyone guess why the main partner (sold to) must appear twice??? or, is this an error in my customizing?
Thank you in advance for your help, and I do hope my observation can help others find a solution.
    Regards,
    Allon
PS in terms of customizing, I used the following:
partner function 00000001 - sold to
partner function 00000121 - Auth. Partner: Sold-to Party
access for Auth. Partner: 0017 - current partner: sold to *this copies the sold to partner into this partner*
partner function 00000076 - Hierarchy Node Partner
access for hier.node partner: CRM_PARTNER_G Pricing hierarchy
The last bit presupposes that the hierarchy is set up using hierarchy category '01 - pricing'.

  • Customer hierarchy-Discount not flowing through

I am facing problem in customer hierarchy in pricing.
I have assigned account group 0012 to 001 all customer. 0012 is Main company who is not issuing orders. I think this may be due to Partner determination settings. However, I have set 3 levels 1D mai n office which is not issuing sales orders act group 0012 Set partner determination at customer master level and  sales document header TA. In sales order in Partners tab I am getting 1D but not getting other like 1C nor 1B nor 1A.
Assigned sales area as well to hiegher level sales area, order type to "A" cust. hierarchy, VDH1N well maitnined 0012 act grp to lower level 2 company which both are 001 act group.
In VK11 maintained HI01 % discount different for head office & two branch office with same sales org, Distr Channel and division.
Here HO is given 2% discount and one branch office 5% and another 7%
When I am creating sales order for 7% branch, in pricing procedure it shows only 2% (HO) discount but not 7% for branch office. I have also tick marked in XD02 at billing tab price determination. In pricing analysis hirearchy 02 is having Exclaimation in Customer field. So why I am missing this customer field even though I have maintained that customer in VK11. Hope I have summarized all details. If any questions please feel free.
I shall appreciate if you know the resolution.

This is now resolved by proper settings in Customer Hierarchy

  • Customer Hierarchy not showing in sales document

    Hi All,
I have used the standard hierarchy type (A) to create a 2(or 3) level hierarchy  (top level node, 2nd level node and sold t party) and the hierarchy assignments look fine at the customer level. I have assigned the hierarchy type to the sales order type as well. But the hierarchy does not get carried over to the sales orders (contracts) when I create  the documents. I am sure it is something really silly, but any idea what I might be missing or where to start looking.
Thank you so much for your help in advance...

Have you assigned Customer hierarchy to your sales area
Have you created Customer with 0012 Account group.
Now you need to assign the customer creatd using 0012 to the customer 0001 account group.
Have you maintainted the Customer heirarchy in VDH1n transaction..
Here you need to assign 0001 account group customer to 0012 customer
If u have maintained all these settings correctly you will get the hierarchy customer in SO.

  • Customer Hierarchy

    Hello SD Experts,
I am new to SD , i want to know how to define customer hierarchy ?
I have to define 4 level in the hierarchy.
1 st level company name ( XYZ )
    2 Wholesale customer
    3nd level H3
    4d level h4
so please let me knw detail steps to create customer hierarchy.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Zubera

    To Create customer hierarchy:-
    1. Create master records for each node in the hierarchy.
        (V-12)  SD - MasterData - Business Partner - Hierarchy Node - Create
You create Hierarchy Nodes for each of the four levels.
    2. Assign the nodes to each other.
        (VDH1N)  SD - MasterData - Business Partner - Customer Hierarchy - Edit
Enter the Higher Level and lower level customers.
    3. Assign customers to the appropriate nodes.
The procedure is same as above.
The SAP system has standard hierarchy type A. You could define your hierarchy types and other settings (acc group, partner determeination, etc) in SAP Customizing.
SAP IMG - Sales & Distribution - Master Data - Business Partners - Customer Hierarchy

  • Customer Hierarchy Determination in Sales Order Header

    Hello Gurus,
I am trying to determine how the customer hierarchy is being determined in the sales order for our instance of SAP. I can see 1D..1H get populated as partners so five levels are being bought in with 1H being the highest. The confusing part is how come 1A..1C is not being populated with any data. Wouldnt the system start at 1A and populate to 1E the five levels. Instead the partners for hierarchy are starting at 1D. How does the system not populate 1A as start point? Is each hierarchy nodes somehow linked to 1A..1H?

Did the hierarchy been assigned in t.code OVH4? If not, assign and test by creating a new sales document.

  • Pricing not determined based on Customer hierarchy

    Hi All,
I searched the forum for the specific issue, but could not find a proper solution.
I have a specific scenario where we are migrating from 4.6C to 6.0.  The hierarchy is already maintained in 6.0 version in a way which we need to adopt it.  The level 1 in 4.6 C would become level 5 in ECC 6.0.  The pricing procedure is adopted as per the 4.6C version where the key field for discounts are maintained as Customer hierarchy level 1 as level 1, now when we are raising a sales order, for none of the levels the price is  getting determined, even though the price determination field is checked in the customer master.  The system says initialized field, it is not able to trigger the HIENR01, HIENR02, HIENR03 field, even though the pricing records are maintained.
    Looking for your feedback.
    Thanks & Regards
    Aravind

    Aravind,
Even though the price determination field is checked in the customer master. The hierarchy may be out of sync. You can verify this by looking at table KNVH for 1 of your hierarchy nodes and viewing field prfre. This is required to = X for the hierarchy fields to be populated during order entry. If you find that it is blank and out of sync with the customer master, then you need to go into Process Customer Hierachy(VDH1N), enter your highest level node and execute, Once in the maintenance view of the hierarchy, click in menu hierarchy-> Update programs-> All; this will sync up the hierarchy from the customer master and make these pricing relevant. You can verify in this screen as well by looking at the 'Relevant for Pricing' flag is set. Hope this helps.
