ATP check based on production finish date

Hi all,
customer order goods for the 02.06.09.
Transportation take 10 days so,  by itinerary , I'll have the material avaiability date for the 15.05.2009.
All' it's OK.
Mrp planner , based on customer calendar, insert demand for customer date 02.06.09
We have insert 10 days on material master as Goods receipt processing time, this for anticipate the end of production 10 days before .
Now we need that atp check production order date not including the Good receipt processing time
Is it possible ?
Regards
Sil
When I do atp check by sales order , ato check see the 02.06.09 as avaiability date and not the desidered 15.05.09
Any idea about haw to realised atp check on

Hi,
This requirement can not be fulfilled by Standard SAP. But you can address this issue via Z development.
You need to maintain Z table with Customer and lead time. Write a BDC and run this BDC once sales order is created. So that system will change requirement date as per the Z table.
I hope this will resolve your issue.

  • Can we run a finished good ATP check based on a full pallet at Sales order level

    Hi Folks,
I have a requirement from business stating that "is it possible to run a finished good ATP check based (for ex.) on a full pallet when the alternative UOM is maintained in the material master for the finished goods.  For ex. 20 kg = 1 pallet".
Now I know about the transactions POP1 & POF1 used in packing. But I want to know can we include the pallets & run an ATP check at SO level for the handling unit created altogether?
    Kindly suggest
    Thanks & regards
    Ashwin Vyas

    Hi Phanikumar,
The customer has given a crude requirement as off now & asked to investigate. So i would like to explore the possible solutions.
However, i would like to know is packing at SO level can be a solution to this requirement.
Also, I agree with your comment that "In Normal--Availability can happen on BASE UNIT OF MEASURE", in addition to that here in this case the availability check is marked for the pallets in master data.
    Thanks

  • Production finish date is later than order finish date?

In my company, most of the plan orders in MD04 have an exception message "64 Production finish date is later than order finish date". The plan strategy of the materials are 40. The plan orders are created from Scheduling Agreements or Independent Requirements.  We set 'Scheduling' as 2(lead time) in the MD01/MD02. The self-production time in material master data is 0. The schedule margin code is 000 which all the parameters are 0.
For a example, we create a requirement on 2007.04.24. After MRP run, plan order generate. It's basic date will be 2007.04.24, but the production date IS 2007.04.25. All the plan order like that, the production date are always later than the basic date for one day.
Could someone tell me why? and how to settle this problem?
    Thank you in advance!

    Hi,
check scheduling parameters for planned orders and scheduling parameters
for production orders. In that set the various indicators like
adjust basic dates to order start date
do not adjust basic dates to order start dates and try.

  • Production finish date differs from basic finish date in backward schedulin

    Hi, experts.
When i do scheduling the planned order,
production finish date differs from basic finish date in backward scheduling as below.
    Scheduling: Backward
    Basic finish date : 2010.01.22
    Basic start date : 2010.01.21
    Production finish date : 2010.01.23  09:00:00
    Production start date ; 2010.01.22 03:57:09
    *GR time : 0.
    *Scheduling Margin key : 0.
I don't know why production finish date set in 2010.01.23 09:00. ( Basic finish date +1 day)
    Please reply me.
    Thanks.

    Dear Jong,
    1) what is the parameter used in MRP run, Basic scheduling or lead time scheduling
    2) you must find a exception Mssg for that plan order in MD04
    3) basic scheduling take the time from material master & lead time scheduling will take time
    from Routing

  • RE:  MTO Production Finish Date

    Hi,
We have an MTO Scenario. Example below.
Sales Order for Material A:  Delievery Date 01/01/2010
Production Order for Material A linked to above SO: Finish Date 01/03/2010.
Now using the above data when I do an availability check on the Sales order, it gives me the available date as the current date or if I have a total replenishment lead time it takes that in to account.
Quaestion is why doesn't it look at the finish date on the production order as the avaiable date? Sales orders and the production order is linked so the available date should be the finish date?
    Any missing configuration?
    Thanks
    Adeel

    Adeel,
The way you are changing configuration settings, I hope you are working in a development system and not in a production system.
Just changed the scope of check to include 'No storage loc insp" checked" and "Check without RLT" checked. This seems to work now. Can you explain why does it work now just for information really?
With the small amount of information I have to go on, I believe that your sales doc was relevant for a different storage location than your production order.  Once you selected "No storage loc insp", the system began to ignore storage location for ATP purposes, and performed its calculations at the plant level.
Is this correct? Or should we be getting the material available date on creation of sales order?
Now you are talking about yet another scenario: a new sales order, w/no existing production orders.
The answer to this question is a business decision.  How does your company want to respond to your customers?
Some companies do not wish to confirm their sales orders until they have an exact date that has been validated by the manufacturing group.  For these companies, the settings you have just made would be best.  A typical process flow would mean you would probably not confirm based on a planned order, but only on a production order.  So, MRP runs.  MRP creates a planned order.  You send the info to Manufacturing.  Manufacturing group tells you when they can produce the product.  You convert the planned to a Production, using the dates given to you by Manufacturing.  Then, run ATP on the order to confirm.  There are lots of variations on this theme.
Other companies wish to confirm the sales orders immediately, based on a 'lead time'.  This would be the situation where manufacturing comes to you periodically and says "regardless of the order, we can have that material ready to ship in 6 weeks".  Here, you would enter 6 weeks in either Total Replenishment Lead time in the material master, or just leave that field blank and enter 6 weeks in In House Production Time.  Then, change the scope of check by un-checking "Check without RLT".  Here, the order will confirm based on existing supply inside of lead time, and if there is inadequate supply, then the sales order will automatically confirm at lead time.  MRP runs, 'someone' converts the planned to Production, and then releases when appropriate to the manufacturing group.
In ATP, there are many 'right' answers (and many 'wrong' ones as well).  The 'best' atp solution depends on the business requirements.

  • Budget Check based on PO Delivery Date

My users are currently facing an issue with PO creation. They are unable to save their POs as the Delivery Date for the line items in the PO has been set to next year. It would seem that the budget check is based on the Delivery Date in the PO, not the Document Date. The company I work for does not does not allocate budget beyond the current year. We perform annual budgeting.
Is there a workaround or some configuration setting for this? Your assistance is much appreciate.

  • Production  finish date

When i do MRP run  (MD50 ), I get planned order. In MD04, Iam getting receipt date for planned order as per basic finish date. I want to get production end date as a receipt date in MD04. How to get it?

    Hi,
For this you need to make the GR processing time as "0" and the schedule margin key, float after production order needs to make as '0'. Then the system will not consider any floats after the production, and system will not consider any GR processing time. Then you will get the production end date as goods receipt date.

  • Difference in Material availability date for ECC ATP check & for APO ATP check in the same order

    Hi Gurus,
I have a question: on what basis material availability date is calculated in forward scheduling?
    Eg:
For a customer GR hours are maintained in unloading point calendar in customer master and Customers are not CIF'ed across to APO.
GR hours are maintained for weekdays from 8:00 to 12:00 & 1:00 to 6:00.
In a sales order with two line items with Requested date today & plenty of stock on hand for two products( ECC & APO) where line 10 (product 1) triggers ECC ATP check & line 20 (product 2) triggers APO ATP check at same location (loc1).
RDD is today, material availability date for ECC ATP check (line 10) is today (working as expected) but where as the material availability date for APO ATP check (line 20)is pushed to next day by which for the same customer there are different delivery dates. And two delivery notes will be created & truck will be on road at different times for the same customer which is unacceptable.
What am I missing here to get the material availability date as today for forward scheduling? Please guide me on this.
    Thanks,

  • ATP Check in CRM Order

    Hi all
I am trying to explore the ATP functionality on CRM orders. Per the help we can either trigger it with SAP APO or SAP ECC but I am not sure what is meant by using SAP ECC.
Is the funcitonality to call SAP ECC even before CRM order save and then tell us ATP check results? Or does it mean that once CRM order is saved and replicated to ECC then the ATP will be carried out? I am pretty sure its the former but just want to confirm with CRM gurus.
    Thanks
    Jai

    Hi Jai,
If you use ECC for ATP check its works fine for stock items. You dont have to save the order and reopen to get the delivery dates.
If the items are Make-to-order, ATP will not work in CRM untill you save the order and reopen. This is because,In ECC, there is a direct linkage between the sales order and the production order in the make-to-order scenario. The confirmed delivery date is based on the scheduling of the production order. The ATP check from CRM makes an RFC-call to ECC in order to perform the ATP check there. Since the sales order does not yet exist in ECC, there is no production order scheduled either. Thus the ATP check can not confirm any dates. The system issues an error message which informs the user that the ATP check could not be carried out The limitations are explained in the note 931796.

  • Sequencing of Purchase order and Good Issue acc. to Production order date

    Hello ,
We are using Direct procurement scenario ,During MRP run we generate a Plan order(which have dates); which converted into Production order later. For these production order material is needed (components). And for procuring components we need to create purchase order.
Assumption :- Each component have same Procurement lead time
Our requirement is Purchase order and GI in Production order should be done sequentially, means Based on Production order date ,FIFO based Purchase orders are created and GI done in Production order. Production order with earlier production date have purchase orders earlier and we do GI in production order accordingly.
    Kindly suggest

    Hello Dario
Thanks for your reply. Our requirement is to put a check on system that GI for production order should be done FIFO wise
means as MRP generate 3 production order of same material each at different date , we want issance of components to be done on FIFO wise in production order

  • Why the basic finish date is not adjusted in planned orders

    Hi, all.
Can anybody help me to understand:
"Why the basic finish date is not adjusted in planned orders during
forward scheduling, but in production order basic finish date is adjusted?
It is look like non-coordination between groups of developers.
And lead to situation, when planner don't see in MD04 when he can really wait material receipt. He must go to planed order and check production data there, it's unusable."
Am I right, or SAP have it's own logic.

    Hi,
Production orders are different story. Since production order is a constant element, they are not created in the course of MRP, basic dates can be adjusted. In production order basic finish date is adjusted, but you won't see for the upper level materials', basic dates of the planned orders adjusted according to the prodcution order you create. Production order is consistent within itself in terms of date and is not dependent to other elements of MRP, but planned orders are not like that.
MRP creates planned orders whose basic finish dates are calculated by subtracting goods receipt time from production start date of the source of requirement. MRP works backwards without changing directions. Meanwhile if any production finish date is calculated different than the basic finish date due to forward scheduling, in order not to violate the alignment between the basic finish date and source of requirement's start date, basic finish date is not adjusted. If it was, dates of all the planned orders calculated so far at the upper levels of the BOMs had to be recalculated, otherwise all the consistency of all the dates is violated. This cannot be done because changes in any level affects all lower levels.

  • ATP Check in Sales Order

    I have the following problem:
I am working on a custom ATP check for the Internet Sales Order. I am looking for the user exit or maybe a place when the ATP check is triggered for both cases:
1 initial material is entered and is checked in which plant is available of the requested quantity by ATP check
    2. when the delivery date (First Date)  on the item level is changed to the future date.
any ideas are welcomed. will award points.
Edited by: Maksims  Jegorovcevs on Feb 6, 2009 4:06 PM

    Hi,
    You can try the following user exits;
EXIT_SAPLATPC_001 - Processing Requirements Table Before Calling Actual Check
EXIT_SAPLATPC_002 - Processing Results of Actual Check
For your second question, when the delivery date of the line item is changed, the system itself will do automatic ATP check. Also in transaction OVZ2, for the checking group, you can use the field accumulation (value 3) for availability check with accumulation and confirmed quantities.

  • ATP Check Finished Goods against Components for production planning

    Hi All,
Our business has a requirement that they want finished goods to be planned based on the availability of components. Currently we have an APO solution which plans at finished goods level only so there is no need to bring components into APO. We will probably use CTM (currently using Heuristics)
We have concerns about the harm that this will do to our system performance and we really do not want to bring these components into APO.  We are therefore interested if there is any way we can avoid bringing these components into APO.
In the past, there use to be a seperate ATP server from SAP where this could be done but my understanding is that this was discontinued and is no longer supporetd. Can someone advise me if there was a product that replaced this ATP Server or does anyone have any suggestions on how we can avoid bringing the components into APO. Please consider that it is not possible to limit to just critical components.
    Mark

    Mark,
Hmmm..   Your seem to be considering adding hardware to support ATP server, but you seem unwilling to consider adding more hardware to the current SCM solution?  Doesn't make much sense to me.  Like most SAP products, SCM/APO can be expanded almost infinitely, if you need performance gains.  Which you don't know yet.
Anyhow, depending on your requirements, CTM is probably overkill.  PPDS or SNP alone would be adequate.  If enhanced availability checking is what you want, then one of the GATP solutions would work.
I guess ATP server still exists (run transaction ACBD from ECC) but I don't think I have ever seen anyone use ATP server at the same time they are using SCM.   All ATP server does is move the processing load of ECC ATP check onto a distinct buffered memory area.  I don't see how that will solve your problem, but I guess I don't really understand what you mean by "planned based on the availability of components." You don't need anything special to plan FGs in SCM and components in R/3, this is pretty standard.

  • Alt bom components with ATP check - production order resets usage prob.

    Hello,
I have searched many threads for this answer.  Here is my scenario
BOM for finished good X  has the following components
Component   |    Usage Prob   |    Strategy    |  Alt Item Group   |   Priority
    A          |             55%         |         2         |         1             |              1
    B          |              45%        |         2         |          1            |               2
When I create the production order for 100 units, components A and B are proposed respectively (per usage probability, as expected)   - like so
    Production Order
    Component A = 55 units
    Component B = 45 units
Here is the requirement - Component B at any given time is restricted by federal law to not be used for material X for more than 45% of its make up. Therefore my client cannot build X with more than 45% of component B.  However, we always want to use at most 45%.  IF component B is not available, transfer all or partial confirmation to Component A.
    Issue:
ATP and usage probabilities will not work.  Whenever I run ATP check for production order, the component with the highest priority get all the reqirements (if inventory permits).  The production order master data is 'reset' by the ATP check (the usage probability on the component will change from 45% to 100%)
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    futsol ,
Maintainance is not required, it say manual maintainance is possible if required.
if you set it 1 system will check the proportion and do the reservation accordingly , if even in production order if you check availabity it will not change the quantity proportion, if its 2 , its meant for alloting the 100 % available component.if A is not 100% available it will replace it with B , if B is availabe to cover total quantity and vice versa.
by giving 1 it gives you option to change proportion as per your wish , if the any of the alternative is not available to fullfill rerquirement., for example in your case component B , if its available you want to use it 45% all the time , but if its not availabe the you can change the proportion or quantity for A in that specific production order only.
I dont know if there is any other way.
Check again with strategy 1 .
    Hope it helps you .

  • Custom ATP Check using Variant Configuration Data in sales order

I have a requirement to modify the standard SAP ATP check by including the variant configuration data entered on a item.  Standard SAP does not use/include the characteristics data when doing the ATP. None of the available user exits would allow me to do this.
The scenario is the client has a configurable product that exist in inventory as one item, base unit as IN2.  The batches that exist in inventory have the characteristics of width and length.  The order data specifies a width and a length, they need the ATP to identify the availability based on the characteristics of the batch.
The solution was to present the user with a list of batches based on the characteristics that meet the criteria.  The user would then have the option of choosing one of the batches which would mean that the line item would include the batch #.  If the user does not want any of the batches, they could choose to select a Make to Order option, which would change the item category of the item, so that it creates a production order upon saving the order.
The problem I am having implementing this solution is I have not been able to identify the internal table(s) that contains the characteristics data in SAPMV45A after the configuration screen is called.  If anyone knows where that information is during the sales order processing, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello Jean,
Have you managed to find a solution as yet? I know you have not received any replies but am hoping you were able to resolve the problem as we are facing the exact issue on our project.
