Attaching Survey to an Activity

Hi,
I have a rather interesting problem that I am trying to resolve. Perhaps somebody has an idea.
We have a BSP Survey on the the Company's external website which is filled out by customers who register new products. This survey contains a hidden field which holds the Business Partner number. When the survey is "submitted" from the website, it gets correctly posted in CRM 4.0 in CRM_SVY_DB_SV and I can get to the survey values (including the BP number). The functional requirement is to programatically create an Activity which also displays the values of this survey on the "Questionaires" tab.
Creating the "Activity" is not the real problem, but how do I link/attach/reference the survey to the Activity?

I upgraded to Mavericks and my iMac monitor goes black randomly, but my attached cinema monitor stays active. I can fix it by putting it to sleep and waking it up again. But often it happens immediately after.

I have a 30in cinema display attached to my iMac and the iMac screen randomly goes black while the cinema stays active. I can put it to sleep and log back in which fixes it, but often it happens again immediately after. Sometimes it happens so quickly I can't even finishing logging in! I'd like to know if this is a Mavericks issue and I will roll my machine back. Thank you!

Wanted to update you on my situation with this.
So far 8 hours have gone by and I have not had a screen blackout.
FIRST I did the Hardware Test. TWICE on the extended test, the instructions on the KB Article explain. It took almost 3 hours, but while the test was running, both times, my computer screen did not go black.
I did get an error message, both times. Different each time. I looked up both of the error messages on discussion boards. Lots of conflicting info
One good thread said my first error was that my hard drive was bad and would probably fail.
The next error message I researched said that a fan was bad or needed replacement.
(information comes from other folks on discussion boards, not from Apple or technician)
Not sure what exactly those 2 error messages indicate but I followed a thread where someone found a solution by doing the following. So far it's worked.
After Hardware Test I did a shutdown and an SMC resest. Unplugged computer power source from wall and computer for about 10 minutes.
Finally after a restart I downloaded "SMC Fan Control" (CNET Downloads has a nice safe copy you can download)
There is a temperature monitor and from what I've read so far, keeping the CPU temperature under 50˚C is ideal. Making sure your fans and computer is in a well ventilated area/room too of course.
The SMC Fan Control helps you set your own speeds on the fans and so far everything has been going normal.

Attaching Material to Service activity in Project builder

Copy attached documents from network activity to purchase order

Has anyone ever tried copying attachments (e.g. MS Word documents) from an external activity in the project to the purchase requisition and purchase orders that are created from it?
Our client would like to attach detailed specs for the purchasing in the Project Builder. The specs will then be used by Purchasing when they request offers from vendors, and finally attach it to the PO when it is created.
Any ideas how this can be solved? Any best practices or recommendations?
We're working on 4.6C and don't use EBP.

Hi Pim,
If the same document should be used for more than 1 object, it is better to my opnion to use a link and not an attachement (in that way you are sure to have the same information, it is a golden rule never to have the same info twice). You have to think about where to put your documents. You could use for instance a file server. Other solutions supported by SAP are possible.
You could make use of an ABAP development to create the same link to the purchase requisition as to the activity (based on a user exit or use a workflow to trigger the creation of the link).

IF we want to add more questionnaire other than the standard one , how will be doing that?

Hi,
In transaction CRM_SURVEY_SUITE, you select your model surey, for example Appl (Aplications) Activities-> Activity summary (model), next step, menú options Survey->Copy (F7). You must indicate Application and Name (survey).
You must created one survey for each Applications. If you need survey for Activies and Opportunities, you create survey for Activities and other for Opportunities.
You must activated it Survey->Activate (Ctrl+f1).
Finally, you must assign it to process type. spro->Transactions->Setting for Activities->Questionnaries->

Campaign - attach document to generated activity

Hello,
I have a mkt campaign using a custom communication channel which uses the communication method 'generate contact (visit)' to create activities only. No email should be send.
This works, but I want to have an attachment automatically assigned to those activities as well? How can I achieve this?

sorry, I have found the way to create the template on help.sap.com.
However, when I try to create an activity template, I cannot attach a document to it, as the tab Attachments is not available.
Unfortunately this seems to be standard, as the help.sap.com says the following
"The following tab pages do not appear during activity processing, because these functions are not possible for templates: ·Attachments"
Is there another possibility to have an Attachment on the generated Activities out of the Campaign?

I have created a smart from in my ABAP code and converted the form to PDF and then OBJECT key for creating attachment.
My object key is FOL33000000000004EXT35000000000164.This object key is in abap code in field of table with format
SWR_ATT_ID-DOC_ID.This abap code is in my method in my z-Business object used in workflow.
Now i need to send this key value to SOFM in workflow this SOFM is in BO format in workflow.
As a result type conflicts and SOFM is not getting instantiated in Workflow.
I need to get thsi key value in my workflow SOFM.
Please guide.

Creating attachment in User decision activity.

I am running a background ABAP report and the output of report is to be attached to the WI for user. The user will receive the decision step with attachment which includes report output as excel.
please suggest how can I achieve it. How can I attach report output to WF that will be going for user approval.

To show Output in Excel Format use document form Template step type and immediately followed by User decision so that when the user executes he will first see the excel sheet then he can take a decision on it.
If u want a display on the same user decision step type then make that method as default methos and bind it to the USER Decision container.

No survey determination in activity when assigning target group

Hi Gurus, how are you?
I`m pretty new to Marketing so I really need your help if possible. I`m using CRM 7.0 and the thing is that I have created a Questionnaires with no problem whatsoever. Then I`ve created a Campaign and again I did it with no further errors.
However I think my problem is in the determination criteria for Questionnaires. For example, I have define the questionnaires determination for a business activity establishing the ID Determination, Description, validity, Transacction Type but without specifying any Criteria Set ID. When I save this customizing and go to to IC to create the transaction type (the same one used in the determination) the Questionnaire is determined automatically which si correct.
The problem arises when I define a Criteria Set with its corresponding description, the Object Type BUS2010020 (Campaign) and the Object Key which is the campaing created before.
After making this definition, if I go to "Determination for Questionnaires:Business Activity" and make a new entry with Determination + Description + Validity + Transaction Type + Questionnaire ID + Active Check + Criteria Set, then when creating the transaction type beforementioned the system does not determined the quesionnaire any more. However, if I delete the Criteria Set from that entry and create the same transaction type again, in this case the system does determine the questionnaire.
Could you please help me?

Hi Lorena,
The criteria that you have in Criteria Set might not be matching what you enter without the criteria set. You might want to recheck that. And as far as I remember, you can't setup questionnaire determination for campaigns.

Create activity and survey via 'CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN'

Dears,
i am in CRM 6.0 now. i have decided to use FM 'CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN' to create and change activity, also there is a import field named 'IT_SURVEY'. Now i want to batch upload the answers of the survey in a txt file to CRM and then create the survey and attach the survey to the activity.
After check program 'CRM_SURVEY_UI' which also use 'CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN' to create activity and survey, i found SAP will convert your input to a rawstring. But the convertion is based on the HTML container(class gr_survey_html), my case is flat txt file. How could i realize the convertion ?
Any advice? I am so puzzled on this for a long time..

Activation of "Attachment List" in VF02 Transaction

Hi,
When i go to VF02 (Change Invoice) transaction, i find that in the Menu drop down the 'Attachment List' is not activated.
Can someone advise how i can enable the same.

Hi ,
The Attachment List will only be activated once you attach some files to the document.
To attach the file , click on Services for Attachment > Create > Create Attachment .
Once the file is attached , the Attachment List will be activated .

Table for milestone attached to the activity

Dear all,
This is regarding the SAP table for Milestone in project. I need to fetch the data for the milestone attached to the activity of the project. Table MLST for milestone has the WBS no. as one of the field and gives the details of milestones attached directly to WBS but it doesnot give the details of milestones attached to the network activity.
If anybody knows about the table please help.

A/c to me there is no tables availabe for your requirment I think this data is being stored in structure MLSTI. You can get details from ABAP consultant.
however your requirement can be solved by txn CN53n. Give * in all input field. Download report in excle filter /sort and use the data. For the further details you can use MLST table.

Web Service 2.0 add Activity with attachment

I have a requirement, use Java code to add an activity with attachment using the wsdl of web service 2.0.
However, I can't add attachment successfully.
without any attachment, the activity can be added successfully in CRMOD.

It mentions for web service 2.0 'the Insert method can be used to insert both parent records and child records', and 'ActivityInsert' above is actually call the insert method, How I can insert both ativity and attachment successfully? Does anybody have some suggestions?

I am in Release 17, in R17, the InsertChild is not supported, API only support 'insert' for both parent and child.
It looks the 'insert' operation with child record actually do the 'update' operation for the parent record to update its child node.
if I send msg using insert operation like:

And I searched API document of Release 17, it mention that 'The Insert method can be used to insert both parent records and child records. If a child node is specified in the request, the Insert method inserts the child and associates it with the existing parent record. If a child node is missing, the Insert call inserts only the new parent record.'
So, is it that we can say the Insert method for child node can success only if the parent node is already existed? seems we can not insert both parent and child at one time.

Cannot open up attachment larger then 10 MB on mobile devices using active sync

Our blackberry Z10/Q10 devices are trying to open up attachments larger then 10MB. When we try to open the attached files larger then 10MB on the blackberry devices, we get attachment too large by policy message. We can open up the message just fine in outlook
and in webmail.
We have spent several hours with blackberry support on the telephone and they say it is related to active sync. Exchange active sync is not stopping the device from opening attachment of any size. Our email send/receivie email limit is set to 30MB.
Blackberry is saying it is related to exchange 2010 active sync, but I am not sure where else to look as the active synch attachment policy is setup with no entry in the attachment size field. If the defautl attachment size field in active sync is not set does
it default to 10 MB?

I have found the KB that roopal1ra0 mentioned, it is realy good information. However it related to the Outlook client, not mobile.

It seems there is no issue on the Outlook client and OWA. So the issue related to the ActiveSync.
