Attachment printing along with Work order

Hi all,
i used search functionality..but I couldn't able to find any solution to solve my issue.
I have one requirement with my client...
They attach some documents(Picture or word docs etc...) to Maintenance order through attachment funtionality whcih is available in the left side of the screen on the top.
This attachments they want print automatically along with Maintenance order when ever they want.
Any one come across with these kind of requirement...pls through some ideas on this.
Will award good points for solution

Hi,
This will be a custom development (telling windows to print a document). In the past I created this based on SAP DMS, but the same can be done based on the object linking you mention.
Please take care that this will not work properly with background processes. Also windows printer can be different from the SAP printer.

Attachment Print along with xml output - Need help !!!

I have a existing report which prints a Job details. The parameters are
1. Job From
2. Job To etc..
So if the program runs, it creates and prints the output
For Job No 1
Job No 1 ... details
For Job No 2
Job No 1 ... details
Now the requirement is to print the attachment associated to the job (present in FND_LOBS.FILE_DATA) just after the specific job finishes.
Required output
For Job No 1
Job No 1 ... details
Job No 1 Attachment (can be in pdf/excel/image etc) -- Not sure if I can do this by calling sub-template.
For Job No 2
Job No 2 ... details
Job No 2 Attachment (can be in pdf/excel/image etc)
Any Clues !!!!!!!!

I have also got the same requirement to print the content of the attachment after printing the job details.

I have an iMac(Intel) Desktop computer. I cannot print anything as it is telling me that it is "offline" How do I start it working again? My Lexmark Printer is in working order as I have just photocopied a document successfully.

I have an iMac (Intel) Desktop computer. It will not send a message to my Lexmark printer because it says "offline". My Lexmark printer is in working order as I have just successfully photocopied a document on it.

That message means that the computer cannot see the printer on its network.
Is the printer directly connected to the computer with a USB cable, or is it a network printer (either wireless, or wired to the router with an Ethernet cable)?

Purchase requistion number and line item number linkage with work order opr

Hello,
I want to know what is the link between Purchase requisition number along with its line item number with work order operation number.
For the non stock component assign to Work order operation ( say operation 10) the PR get generated for that component which assign to that operation .
in which table we can find that PR as input and output as Work order number along with its operation .
In AFVC table if we put PR as input then it does not show any entry for that PR number?

HI Vaibhav,
If you have the Work Order Number AUFNR, then you can get AUFPL from AFKO.
Then Pass AUFPL to AFVC table to get BANFN(Purchase requisition number) and BNFPO(Item number of the purchase requisition in the order).

SAP Printers and Mass Printing of SAP Work Orders

Good day Experts,
We have a printer related issue especially mass printing of Work Orders. We have discovered that printing a list
of work orders takes longer with intervals of 10min up to an hour, as compared to printing smaller list(1-5 etc)
We are not certain whether this problem originates from the Network or SAP. The problem is not one of uniform nature,
changes frequently, Sometimes better and sometimes worse.
Please advise me.

There could be many reason behind this
1. Logic put to fetch data without key fields
2. unwanted code
3. Using System status search
4. getting data from User status tables such as JCDS
just check by giving print with one order, even if it results in performance issues, then it requires Fine tuning
you have to check with developer to removed unwanted code

Delta Print Ticket print on Released Work Order

Hi Experts,
I would like advice on how to configure or programatically activate automatic printing of the delta Pick Ticket when saving an already-released PM Work Order after adding additional components on the Component tab.
Has anybody done this before? I am new to PM module and want to explore this option. Is it technically feasible(Using ABAP)?
Please suggest on this regard.

There are many way this could be achieved, here is one:
User-exit IWO10009:
- Determine if there are any newly added components (difference betwen database data and buffered data)
- Add an entry in a customer table with relevant change data
New ABAP program:
ABAP program runs periodically (say each night) and selects data from customer table. It then formulates and sends the required to the printer. The relvant records are then deleted from the customer table.

Excel attachment opening blank in work order

Hi Experts,
I am having an issue with Excel attachment in work order.
there has been some coding done using open dataset ,readdataset etc.
I am using read in text mode .....
the file is being picked from Application server and someone told me that there is no way that SAP can support
the Excel attachment that is uploaded from Appication server.
Kindly suggest on this . I tried by saving it as CSV file but the format was incorrect.
Please suggest me how we can open the excel file correctly.

You need to use the Open In... feature to view it in Excel.
Once the attachment is open in the default viewer, you should have an icon that looks like a square with an up arrow on it. Tap on this, then choose Open In... and you should be able to open it in Excel.

There is no std report as per ur requirement, u need to develop a Z-report for ur requirement.
Make use of table MARD for UR Stock, and
open PO qty check table EKET (Scheduling Agreement Schedule Lines)
Open Po Qty = field: MENGE(Scheduled Quantity)-field: WAMNG(Issued Quantity) and also check
In EKPO table field ELIKZ is for Delivery completed
PO's for which this flag is not ticked are considered as open PO to get Open order Qty u need to check fields
MENGE Order quantity
WEPOS Goods receipt
Diff bet these two fields is Open Order Qty

Attachment not shown in Work Order

Hi, Using Oracle Document ID ID 882952.1, we have configured oracle Functionality to attach Manual / documents in EAM Work Order, but followed all steps as mentioned Oracle Document but attachments are not showing in Work Order when we try view that specific attachment from Maintenance Super User.

Well, we have same archivelink customizing in another systemo for MIRO transaction and it works fine.
There's a development, of course. There's a job that executes a program and attaches the pdf from a server, etc.
So we can attach pdf files when entering an invoice. Guess there's a missing step, but don't know exactly which.
Maybe basis people blocked something, but we don't have a clue.

PReq quantity not synchronized with work order.

Hello,
I have a work order for which created Preq for external component with quantity 10.
Then when converting PReq into PO I have change the quantity to 5. So I have PO with quantity 5 but in the work order requirement quantity is still 10. When trying to change it on work order level I'm getting following error message: 'A purchase order already exists for purchase requisition ...'
Does anyone of you know if there is any option to synchronize quantity in work order level with PReq and PO? I know that for the sales orders there is t-code VA07 for Comparison of Orders with PReqs and POs. Do we have the same option for maintenance work orders?

This is generally a information message and not a error message. Check whether someone has changed the configuration for the message number from "I" TO "E" under Spro> pm > Maintenance and service processing > Config control > Define attributes for system messages.

Mass printing of maintenance work orders

Hello All,
I am configuring a preventive maintenance functionality where plans will kick out maintenance work orders at set intervals of time. Yesterday, I found about a requirement which requires functionality where a user can select many maintenance work orders and print shop papers for them from one screen. Are any of you aware of such functionality in SAP PM?

You should be able to use the List edit transaction iw38 to select and print Multiple Orders simultaneosuly. Once you have selected the orders in the Output screen, use the menu path ORDER > PRINT ORDER.

Problem with Work Order Form

Hi All,
           I am workin on Work Order Print for the transaction
IW 32. When I choose PRINT/FAX button its generating a spool. and in the transaction IW32 its updating a field system status as 'PRT'. But if I choose 'PRINT PREVIEW', its displaying the Print Preview. In PRINT PREVIEW I have an option 'PRINT' if I choose this PRINT option from this print preview system generatin a spool but not updating the field system status as 'PRT'. I am unable to debug the program through direct 'PRINT' option because it is executing in back ground mode. Can any body please help me to sort out this issue. Its urgent production issue.

How is functional location linked with work order tables

Hi, Experts:
I am working on a BW project to extract Plant Maintenance data from R/3 to BW system. We need to get work order data with related Functional Location data togather. When check the 2 tables AFIH for Work Order header and AUKF for Order master data, I don't see Functional Location field in neither of the 2 tables.
Can anyone please tell me how (by which table/field) Functional Location data in table IFLOT is linked to a Work Order stored in tables AFIH and AUKF?

Thanks for the reply! I tried to get the values of ILOAN from table AFIH. And pass the value to the field ILOAN in ITOB. However, no data returned from ITOB. The ILOAN in AFIH has different set of values from the ILOAN in ITOB.

Attaching of documents to work orders

Hi,
We are not able to see documents from services for object box in maintenance order.
When i am attaching docs to maintenance order, i am unable to do it. Is there any customization setting for attaching docs to work orders.

The problem is when I am trying to attach document to order from the option available in the maintenance order from create attachemnts (Services from the object), I am unable to attach documents.
It's not from DMS, User want to add document which is realted to the order from the available option "services from the object" of the work order.
