Attachments in Bids

Hi All,
We would like to send attachments to the bidder/vendor while creating a bid. However we are unable to attach files. We would like to understand:
1. If any configurations need to be made in SRM to activate attachments such that files are sent to bidder
2. Also do we need to make any settings in ECC
Kindly Note: We are working with SRM 5.0 on Classic Scenario.

Hi Harish,
You can find the documentation in this node only.
SPRO>Supplier Relationship Management>SRM Server>Cross-Application Basic Settings>Define Settings for Attachments.
Before the node there is a image of notebook just click on that and you will find the documentation.
Regards,
Sachin

  • Automatic upload of attachments in Bid

    Hi Gurus
we need a solution where we want to upload e.g. drawings to our bid inv automatic, did anyone of you ever created a solution like this or did you have an idee how to do this.
did we have a BADI cover the attachments?
we already have a program in our R/3 system who can find and print drawings/BOM regarding the purchase order.
so we think we will use the same program to find the correct documents and then upload them into the Bid.

    Hi,
I think landscape of your Dev system is different than your Quality system. You need to put an entry of fully qualified domain name in the table I have mentioned.
The entry in the table should look like :-
    MANDT         <client name>
    SORT KEY      010
    PROTOCOL      HTTP
    APPLICATN     *
    FOR DOMAIN
    HOST          <fully qualified domain name>
    PORT          80
If you are using a web dispatcher or reverse proxy server in your landscape, then there should also be an entry for http header.
    Thanks

  • Attachments at header level from SRM BI/BID  to ECC PO

    Hello All,
Our landscape is SRM 5.0sp09 & backend ECC 6.0.
    SRM tech scenario - CLASSIC
SRM business scenario - Sourcing with Bid Invitation
We have set up DMS in ECC and are now able to transfer item level attachments from SRM BI and BID to ECC follow-on PO.
Our customer desires header level attachments since they want to avoid DMS maintainance.
We have checked this with sap OSS and the responce was---
<b>this is a limitation/desired behavior. SRM is not
passing the attachments as the same cannot be viewed at header level in
PO(as indicated by you). Hence only the item level attachments are
passed. I am not sure if the same is taken care in SRM 6.0.</b>
Our customer is still insisting for header level attachments.
    Can anybody give relevant inputs?

    Hi Dinesh,
I am not sure about the exact technical details of the same. But i just know that SRM50 will not support this functionality. Sorry that i am not able to help you in this regard

  • ATTACHMENTS in the SAP Bidding Engine SRM 5.0

    Hi,
When a purchaser processes a bid invitation he has the menu DOCUMENTS in the header option.
Inside the DOCUMENTS option he can attach documents. When the purchaser attaches a document there are several options activated, some of them are: Check-in, Check-out, Check in New Version, Terminate Check-Out.
As I have seen, check-out is used to save a copy of the attached document and check-in is used to subsitute the content of the attachment.
But can anydody explain the option: TERMINATE CHECK-OUT?
    Thanks in advanced,
    Mar

    Hi Naveen,
Thanks for your message but I still don't understand the when is the button TERMINATE CHECK OUT useful.
As I explained in my previous message I found this button entering to the system as a purchaser. When the purchaser processes a bid invitation he has the menu DOCUMENTS in the header option.
But when after doing the Check-Out the purchaser presses on Terminate Check out nothing seems to happen.
So, can anydody explain the option: TERMINATE CHECK-OUT?
    Thanks in advanced

  • Stop attachments to move while contract creation from Bid.

    Hello Experts,

  • Problems with file upload - bidding attachments

    Dear all,
during the tests in our SRM development system we tried to attach a file to a new bid invitation.
This is not possible because of different error messages.
Does this has something to so with a digital signature? Can I customzie this?
Another question is, where can I customize the settings for external email? The basis settings are set on the server, but it won't work.
    Thanks for your help.
    Kind regards
    Christian

    Hi Christian,
Apart from basic settings you need to check the JDK version on your sytem from where you are trying to attach the file. It should be jdk 5.0 (JRE 1.5). Also apply the note 927142.
If you are done with all basic required settings then attachment should work,if it doesn't,send me more details like what are the exact errors and system version details.
By external mail, do you mean incoming mail or outgoing mails? If it is outgoing mail it is relatively easy than incoming mail settings. For Outgoing you need to make few settings in SCOT.
    Hope this will help you.
    Best Regards,
    Ameet

  • Reading attachments from CFolders(SRM) to ECC(PO)

    Hi All,
I have a requirement where i need to read the attachments from SRM to ECC.
When the bidders bid, they attach files in SRM, these files are saved in the C-Folders in SRM Box.(No DMS)
Now, when the PO is created from the RFx, the attached files should also be transferred.
    1. Is there a direct way by configuration?
    2. If any development has to be done? where should it be done? SRM or ECC?
    3. Can we read the files on runtime or do we need to pull files from SRM and store it in ECC?
    4. BBP_CREATE_BE_PO_NEW: BAdI of any help?
    Please suggest.
    Thanks
    Johnson George.

    Hi,
UNSPSC code is generally passed to R/3 in the MPN fields EBAN-MFRNR (Manufacturer), but you need to take care here as the MFRNR field is 'hidden' and unchangeable. (See note 615722)
So perhaps the usage of a custom field in your case would be easier.
    Regards.

  • Capabilities of Adobe Forms for Secure Bidding

How can electronic signatures be incorproated into Adobe Forms?  I am trying to figure out how to get an existing form converted knowing that I require wet signatures now and would require electronic signatures using Adobe Forms.
How can a time stamp and a cut-off time for no further submissions be incorprated into Adobe Forms?  I am interested in determining when the document was submitted and also having Adobe Forms stop accepting submissions after a designated date and point in time.
The FAQs (or elsewhere) addressed Adobe Forms accepting attachments.  Could there be identification names (e.g. "check boxes") for what was being required to be uploaded for each specific and required document that is to be uploaded that all together forms a "package", like a bid package?

We currently do not support electronic signatures within FormsCentral. We have a sister service called EchoSign (www.echosign.com) that provide elecstronic signatures though we currently do not integrate with them.
There is no way to automatically close the form at a certain time/date. You would have to do that yourself manually.
I form can have multiple attachments fields so you can specify very precisely what attachments you want from people. We also provide controls on restricting file size, and file types.

  • New! Attachments - Upload files as part of a form submission

You can now add multiple file attachment fields to your forms to collect  files from respondents. Almost all file formats are supported for upload including audio and video (executable and other such file types are not allowed). All files are virus scanned by the service.
You can add field restrictions that force respondents to upload files less than a certain size, upload multiple files and/or only upload certain file formats.
All of the data and files collected are acccessible from the View reponse tab.
Files from multiple respondents can be downloaded together within a single zip file by the author. When downloading, the author has the option of prefixing a field value to the filenames so they know which respondent submitted a file.
Attachments is available to both free and paid users, however, the maximum file size of all files submitted by one respondent is 100KB for free users and 20MB for paid users. There is no limit on the amount of overall file storage for a free or paid users.
    Benefits
You no longer have to manage collecting data and files using different solutions – like filling out the form using FormsCentral and sending the files via email. Files and data can now be collected using a single method and everything is stored in one central place so managing the collection process is much easier.
Ensure that respondents provide the right number, size and type of files.
    Example Use Cases
Employment Application – Job applicant needs to submit their resume with their application as a single PDF or Word file.
College Admission – High school student (or parents) need to submit an essay, high school transcript and reference letters with their admission form.
Grant Application – Applicant needs to submit a proposal document and pictures (JPG or PNG) of their previous work in order to be eligible for the grant.
Client Onboarding – Financial advisor needs to collect account information and investment documents from new clients.
Request for Proposal – Procurement department needs to collect bids from competing vendors. Vendors need to fill out a form with their company’s information, provide certification documentation and a detailed proposal document.
Conference Registration – Exhibitors and speakers need to provide a JPG or PNG head shot for the conference directory that is less than 1MB in size when registering.
Change Order – Engineering firm uses a change order form to manage changes to their engineering specs. Change orders routinely include videos, images or other drawings to support the requested change.

    Yes you sure can.
Right click in the cell corresponding to the attachment field in the View Responses response table and choose "Insert File" (also in the "Insert" menu).  The column must correspond to an attachment type field or you will not see the "Insert File" option.
    Thanks,
    Josh

  • Supplier Collaboration with SRM Bidding Engine

    Hi All,
I'm looking at the SAP BIdding Engine with regards to supplier collaboration in the bidding process, my undertsanding is that SUS can be used for a single point of access for suppliers to submit their bids. I also understand that cFolders can be used to allow true collaboration in the bidding process i.e. review of bid, submit prices etc.
I have four questions around these scenarios
    1. For collaboration in the sourcing process which is superior cFolders integration or SUS?
    2. What is the advantages of SUS over cFolders in the sourcing process.
    3. Could you use both products?
    4. Can cFolders be used to pose questions from the supplier? i.e. a true sourcing process would usually be:
RFI > Supplier Info response > RFQ > Supplier pricing response
    Cheers
    Chris

    1. Both has diff purposes. C-folder purpose is information exchange in terms of drgs, attachments, discussion etc.
    so kind of technical exchange
whereas SUS forms common window for suppliers for collaberating with buyer co. for BI they can submit the price & conditions.
    So kind of commercial exchange.
    Superiority depends on the perspective
    2. SUS you can use for odercollaberation also
i.e. for PO/SA from MM or EBP ,suppliers can
    send responce
    send ASN
    post confirmation
    post invoice
    3. Yes

  • Trouble with Attachments

When viewing emails with an attachment, like reviewing a bid sent to me by a contractor, you can't return back to the email folder. There is no delete or any menu on the top. This has happened to me twice. I would go to home/desktop and hit mail again, but it just returned to that page of the attachment. I reset the Ipad numbers of time by holding down the home key and power together with no results. I finally in both instances I had to go to my mail via my other computer and trash the attachments to get it off of my ipad. Someone tell me how to do this please.

I touched everywhere and could not get the Done or open in buttons to appear. exiting via the Home button and reopening mail still resulted in not being able to get to the done or open in buttons.
    Doug Eldred wrote:
On a simple attachment, like a rich-text document, there's a "Done" button at upper left. It disappears after a few seconds, but tapping in the center of the document brings it back for a few seconds. Do you see something different? If you have something like GoodReader installed, it'll also give you the option to open the document there, instead, if that's more convenient for any of a number of possible reasons.
