ATV2 woked once, but not again.

I have a new ATV2, HomeSharing worked the first time I turned it on, now it doesn't. I had the same problem last week before I switched to ATT U-Verse, but it's doing the same thing. Worked once, but not again. Any suggestions?

I have successfully linked from text in one tabbed panel to open another panel on the same page, using SpryURLUtils.js.

SF300-24 DHCP Server not responding (worked once but not again)

Tried to get the new firmware DHCP Server option working but after turning it off and back on it doesn't seem to give any addresses anymore.
Anyone else having troubles or success actually using the SF300 v1.4 DHCP Server?
I even tried factory default reset but no luck.
When I did have it working everything was good but the older Cisco Meraki would not get an IP address so I had to revert to an older DHCP server. When I tried again today by turning the older server off and the SF300 back on, none of the Windows machines that previously would work would get an address.

IDVD Burns Once, But Not Again

I think I might be adding to the whole "iDVD not burning in the last minutes after hours of waiting" theme. The trouble the last couple of days I have been having is I get the first disk to burn and everything looks good. When it asks if i want to burn a second one, I say yes and put in another DVD (Sony). Then it starts to burn and just before the end (a minute or so away) and the whole thing freezes. It ejects the disc unburned. So I am totally stumped. It has done this twice now. I will look for a cleaner, but is there another issue? Thanks everyone. - Carlyle

Can you save your iDVD project as a disk image file?
From within your iDVD project, go to File->Save as Disk Image
This process looks like the burning and will take just as long for the encoding, but the end result is a disk image file, not a burned DVD disk. There are several advantages to saving your iDVD projects as disk image files.
It is more efficient and less stress on iDVD to burn your DVD disks from a disk image file.
You can save a disk image file and safely delete your iDVD project and all the media used in it since it is all encoded into the disk image file. This can save you drive space because usually a disk image file takes up less space than the project.
A disk image file can be transferred to an external drive or another computer.
It is a great backup for your project.
Many people have saved only the iDVD project and deleted the iMovie used in it and have been bitterly disappointed to discover that the iDVD project is useless without its media files available. An iDVD project should be thought of as a container with references to its media that iDVD pulls into the project just for the burn, but does not keep them there. The movies, photos and audio files remain where they are. If you move, change, rename or delete these, iDVD will not be able to locate them.

If the file is successfully created, you can test that it is ok by clicking on the file to mount it (you don't have to do anything with the files you see) then opening DVD Player (in Applications). Other suggestions.....
Be sure you have enough free space for the burn. At least 20GB is recommended, but more is better
Use a recommended brand of DVD disk. Verbatim, Maxell and Taiyo Yuden are the most recommended here. I use Verbatim DVD-R and have never had a burn issue with them. I have occasionally use Sonys and they seem ok, too.
Burn the DVD disks at a slow speed to get a more consistent burn...usually 4x or less.

Itunes 10.5: It starts once, but not twice....

Hi there everybody,
I have a question, I have myself a new gaming pc, everything works, software, hardware, no problem at all.Itunes also worked perfectly, I use itunes, because I have an i Phone and, well, I just need Itunes to sync everything.
Now a few days back, my Itunes started acting up, all of a sudden it kept asking me for my password because it needed authorization for automatic downloads. Also, Itunes would boot only 1 time, not more, whenever I closed it up and needed it to boot up again, it wouldn't. After a reinstallation, I kept having these problems, so I deleted Itunes again, and deleted every Apple related directory from my pc, even within the hidden directories. I knew that this would maybe help, cause alot of programs these days don't delete everything, even if you tell them to;) It sort off helped, I don't have the problem with the password asking anymore, but still Itunes only boots once a "pc startup".
The Symptoms:
Itunes boots once, but not for a second time.
Itunes.exe and ItunesHelper.exe do show in the processes tab of the task manager.
Whenever I close these processes and I try to start Itunes, Itunes freezes on my screen as a square gray space.
Can someone please help me, cause, as sad as it sounds, I am really annoyed by having a brandnew pc, having everything work perfectlly, better than ever, and still have 1 program that doesn't work properly...Itunes.

Seems like I found myself a solution with the help of some random thread I found (thank god), seems that APSdeamon, also known as ApplePush, seems to cause the prblem here. Terminate the process in the process tab, and everything works out fine again. Maybe a bit drastic, but you could also delete the .exe file and never have the problem again.

ITunes won't recognize iPhone (3G), restored with another pc and worked once but not anymore, help please

- I changed a new case, battery and a headphone jack, after that iTunes didn't really wanna recognize my iPhone
- I've had the same problem earlier too, before ^that
- I have the latest version of iTunes
- I've tried to remove all USBs and reconnect iPhone many times, and rebooted both PC and phone
- I had the error 1611 while trying to restore on my PC -> I tried on another computer, worked
- my PC's iTunes recognized my iPhone once after restoring but not anymore
This is really annoying, I would be so thankful if you can help me.

I have embedded a Quicktime movie in my web site. I can watch it once, but not a second time. Why won't it reload?

I can watch it with Safari on my mac and on my iPhone as many times as I like. But I can only watch it once on Firefox.

If reloading works after clearing the cache then that can be an indication that the server sends the file compressed. If the file is compressed and is partly uncompressed in the cache and Firefox tries to retrieve the remainder and restarts at a wrong position (difference between compressed and uncompressed content) and thus the file gets corrupted.
You can try to contact the hosting company of your website to ask them about this.
A test can be to set the pref network.http.accept-encoding to an empty string on the about:config page.
To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page. 
You can use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a pref more easily.

Installer works once, but never again

I created an installer using PackageMaker. This package installs my app bundle and a local copy of postgres 9.1.
I also created an uninstaller that runs the Postgresql un-installer script, removes my app bundle and uses pkgutil to "forget" the receipt.
The installation on the end user machine works if the app has never been installed.
Running the un-installer appears to remove all the necessary parts, include the .bom and .plist from the receipts db tree.
Running the installer again ends with an error:
PackageKit: Install Failed: PKG: pre-install scripts for "com.mycompany.myapplication.pkg"\nError Domain=PKInstallErrorDomain Code=112
Digging through the logs I uncovered one error: psql command not found. This was in the log for the script that add roles to dbms. Interestingly, the postgres installer succeeded. pgAdmin fires up and the basic postgres schema, etc., are present.
So why can't the installer script find psql on this second invocation?

My tablet let me into my email once, but not now.

out of the box i set my email up only. put in my email and password, got online. then the next day it kept saying it couldn't let me into my email. said the screen name or password didn't match. went online and change my password. no help. however, i did get a email from apple acknowledging my password change. went to apple store and she gave me the email address to change my password. so far that has not helped.

Without revealing any personal information what email app are you using? Stock app?
where are you trying to login? Or is the app not working?
does the username and password work on another device or computer?
is it possible the iPad has a typo stored?
in which case, delete the email account and enter it again.

IPod found once, but never again.

Yesterday I purchased my first iPod, one of the new 4th gen 8-gig nanos. When I got home, before installing itunes or anything, I plugged it into my computer and the computer found it. When I wanted to remove it, I used the "safely disconnect hardware" tool in the windows toolbar, and now the iPod is no longer recognized when I plug it in. I installed itunes, tried the Five R's, but to no avail. Should I call apple support or go exchange it (I purchased at Wal-Mart)?

Quadra 4000 and Lion worked once but not anymore

HI all
I just bought a new MacPro that came with Lion on it. I added a Nvidia Quadra 4000 to and it all worked just fine. Cuda picked it up and it worked fine with Adobe Premire 5 and Davinci Resolve.
I simply restarted my computer and now it's not regognising the card any more.
Does anyone have any suggestions please, it worked just fine and now after a restart it's not working at all.

Im just guessing but it seems like you would have to get your movie into the correct folder on a computer then use iTunes to sync it to your iPad. If you've synced to a computer and have movies then on your computer should be a folder with the movie in it. You could export your iMovie to something like Dropbox then download from Dropbox to the folder you think it needs to be in the sync your iPad again. Again this is just a guess. Others may have a better answer.

E3000 - WoL - Works Once, But Then Not Again

Greetings,
I am using WoL for one of the PC's connected to a E3000 on my home network. I can successfully power on the PC from S3 (standby) or S5 (power off) state one or more times, but after a certain amount of time the E3000 fails to send packets to the destination PC and it fails to wake.
Logging indicates packets are being received by the router. They just stop being forwarded to the destination after a certain period of time. I haven't measured this time exactly.
Research indicates that the router might be removing the destination PC's IP from it's ARP table, which in turn makes the PC unreachable until it is manually powered on and off again (S5) or put into standby (S3).
It works reliably and consistently, then stops within a few hours. The issue is not related to power management on the NIC. As I said, packets on the WAN are received successfully from the outside. Packets on the LAN are also received, but not forwarded for wake.
I am using various utilities to wake. All work well.

For Wake on LAN to work on a computer, it must have the following:
•   A wired connection to an active computer network
•   Motherboard
•   Network adapter and adapter driver that supports the standard Magic Packet format
• Computer basic input/output system (BIOS) configured for WoL
•   An operating system that supports WoL
•   All routers between the remote location and computer required to WoL must allow IP directed broadcasts and support IPv4
