Audigy 1 and live drive II is

HI
I have just bought a li've dri've II to partner with my Audigy SB0090 after plugging it in and installing fresh drivers there is no response from the li've dri've, no matter what i do i can't get the dri've to work. Is this a fault with the dri've or is it something i have missed ? I wonder if it's a compatibility issue as i have a x-fi extreme audio in my computer to listen to music as well as the Audigy to record instruments with. But as both cards work fine it seems theres not and issue.
Many thanks JoshMessage Edited by landyman on 05-9-20070:2 AM

I'm afraid not, those two aren't compatible. Audigy 2 (and onwards) dri'ves are compatible with that card.

  • Audigy 2 and ASIO driv

I have recenty installed an Audigy 2 and loaded the most current drivers for it from Creative. I am using the WDM drivers but would like to try ASIO drivers. It was my understanding that the latest driver package had the ASIO drivers as well. They don't appear in the list of drivers that I can try. If I browse to the SBAudigy 2/program/WDM/Common/ I can see CTASIO.DLL which I think is the driver but if I try to browse to it when updating driver it doesn't work cause I think it is looking for an .ini file. Any way I can't find anywhere that explains exactly how to install these drivers.....but from what I have read they would be best for what I want to use it for which is recording. I am usiing Windows ME if that makes any difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

yeah thats its, i've recently had a hard dri've crash and had to reinstall everything on my pc, i had the creative asio drivers before but they aren't there now.
The thing is though i lost my installation cd for my audigy 2 and i'm using my mates to install, however when i try to install card from cd it says there no audigy 2 card present, so i had to install the drivers manually by searching on the cd and the sound works fine.
I'm thinking my mate doesn't have the same audigy 2 card as me and thats why it aint working, do you know how i can find out which audigy 2 i have?
I've disabled on board sound in bios so its not that.
There is a sticker with a serial number on card (something like MSB0243xxxxxxxxx). The bolded part on my example shows the model of your card.
I think you can install these drivers (use the instructions if you don't like to install the Audio Console utility too).
Also, you can download ISO image file of the original installation CD by following this link. Install software by running the start.exe found on CTRun\ folder in that image file (when extracted or burnt).

  • What is the difference between Icloud and Live Drive?

I had purchased for me seperate storage space where by i could download music/pictures to my cyper drive and my Ipad would pick it up.  Is this Icloud or Live Drive?

That is livedrive. You cannot use icloud to keep your files online unless the files are generated using iworks. But, icloud is free from apple, 5 gb worth of space. Currently usage is pretty limited, cannot compare wth livedrive, dropbox or sugarsync.

  • Audigy 2 card with Audigy 2 ZS drivers and Live Driv

I recently bought a Li've!Dri'veII bay for my system. To use this I plugged it into my Audigy 2 Value card which I have had for about 2 years. The bay came bundled with a SoundBlaster Li've! Platinum.
I tried to install my drivers, but as a Platinum, but the Bay still did not respond, didnt send anything out or receive a signal in. There is definitely power because when I plug in the headphones you can hear some white noise, but thats it.
I searched round for a solution and one was to install the Audigy 2 ZS drivers. I did this by following the following instructions:
    http://driverheaven.net/showthread.php?s&threadid=45004
This allowed me to also enable lots of extras such as the THX console and other stuff previously unused as my Audigy 2 drivers didnt have them.
    Now I have 2 problems:
    ) my Li've!Dri'veII Bay isn't working and
    2) In games I get sound glitches such as random noises that shouldnt be there, Missing noises such as gunshots are not heard or parts of the noise are missing.
So what do I need to do to sort this out, because I do wish to be able to use my system to its full potential.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

    David,
If you go into the surround mixer or Windows mixer do you see a listing for the front panel inputs (line in2/mic in2, Aux 2, etc)? If so, are any of them muted? If you go to start/programs/Creative/SB Audigy/Audio HQ/Device Settings, do you show a headphone tab? If so what options are enabled in there?
Double check your ribbon cable connection and maybe even swap sides of the cable.

    HI!
I encounter Installation problems with that file:
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Value/SE/LS and Sound Blaster Li've! 24-bit XP and Windows Vista Pack .04.0077
I Use Vista 64Bit Ultimate and when I try to install this package I have an error message after my language selection. Is there a known issue for this
    Thanks!

Yes it is called trying to install the wrong driver for your card. Will work much better if you try installing the correct one,
    SBAX_PCDRV_LB_2_8_000.exe
Also helps if you click on the "Show Details" link on the download page, then you would see that the one you tried to install doesn't support your card,
    Requirements:
Microsoft Windows Vista 64-bit, Windows Vista 32-bit, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows XP Service Pack 2, Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 or Windows XP Media Center Edition 2004
Sound Blaster Audigy Value/SE/LS, or Sound Blaster Li've! 24-bit audio devices
whereas the correct driver shows the following,
This download supports the following audio devices only:
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy including Platinum and Platinum eX series
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 including Platinum, Platinum eX, and Value series
Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS including Platinum and Platinum Pro series

  • Audigy Platnum 2 Live drive probl

Hello I purchased an Audigy platnum 2 from a friend with the li've dri've. Everything is installed, updated drivers from creative's website and I still cannot get the li'vedri've to function properly. Headphones work fine, microphone does not. Neither does firewire port. When I plug into the card on the backside of the PC everything works fine, but I really would like to get the li'vedri've up and running for the convenience. The mic sounds really weak and muffled when I try to record in Audition or soundbooth and just when it is plugged in it has the same muffled light sound. Any help would be appreciated.
    BTW system specs
    XP SP2
    q9300
    4 gigs DDR2 066 Ram
    geforce 8600

To summarise everything worked ok for a period of time, then, when attempting to use the headphones (which had worked prevoiusly) there was no sound. Further investigation revealed that the remote, mic 2 and aux in 2 (which also worked previously?) also did not work but a red light still shows in optical out. You have tested these using the surround mixer to select the appropriate inputs.
The red light in optical out shows you have power and connectivity to the card also they appear in the mixer ( if I understand your initial post correctly) which shows the card detects the front bay.
This is difficult to comment on as everything seems to be as it should be. Please confirm in detail that my understanding is correct.
PS. it would help if you call things by their correct names.

  • Request for advice on Audigy 2, Audigy RX and ASIO

I believe this may be my first posting on this forum although I have visited many times. I'm not a techie and a lot of the jargon is lost on me so apologies if I go off track a bit.
I am a big BIG fan of the Audigy 2 and I had been using it very happily on my Windows XP machines for at least 6 or 7 years and 3 rebuilds. When I upgraded to Windows Vista and then 7 (reluctantly) all hell broke loose.
Let me explain briefly how I use the card. I record and perform music tracks and I also regularly broadcast through a digital radio stream. Using the "What U Hear" recording setting I record and broadcast voice on mic simultaneously with backing tracks. The recording facility and EAX functions, particularly reverb, were therefore essential to me. It was a sombre moment when I lost them in the Windows upgrades, which turned to panic soon after trialling replacements from various manufacturers, Creative included.
I had a common problem with all of them; latency.
I must have tried about a half dozen or so alternatives. Each were PCIe connectivity, each had ASIO functionality and each had an infuriating latency delay between input and output (singing and hearing) that despite being milliseconds made it impossible to perform or record. I had to return them all.
The problems Audigy had with Windows after XP are already well documented and it was only thanks to the extraordinary efforts of certain enthusiasts developing upgraded drivers etc. (Thank you Mr K!) that I was able to maintain use of my beloved Audigy 2. It has rallied magnificently through much adversity and I persevered with the minor anomalies that I was unable to resolve.
For example, changing the default recording device from microphone to What U Hear and vice versa (through Windows audio settings since the Audigy panel can't do it now) would indicate that the change was successful but doesn't actually activate until I reboot. Never got to the bottom of that that and I could live with it but recently there have been some other glitches.
Music playback (on any software) will drop randomly to terrible static needing a reboot to reset.
Skype voice sounds awful to whoever is listening to me. On the rare occasion I get it working I save the settings (I have tried numerous fixes) only to find that the problem returns next time I reboot. There seems to be no consistency to the cause.
The Audigy RX looks like it will do the job for me but I am concerned about the latency issue. Is it related to the ASIO function?. As I said earlier I am NOT a techie; only through trial and error did I manage to keep the Audigy 2 going for this long.
ASIO I've read about and it seems now to be an industry standard, supposedly to improve performance but so far I have found quite the opposite. I'm not sure what it really is, how it works or if I need it. I don't think Audigy 2 had it and that was fine for me.
So please help; what can I do about this cursed latency?

oh, and I also have two LaCie NAT drives with ethernet connections which I'd like to be able to access from the iMac and the MacBook Pro...
    Thanks!

  • MSI K9N DIAMOND CA0106 chipset AUDIGY or SOUNDBLASTER LIVE 24

I have 2 PC's one with an MSI K8N SLI PLATINUM mobo with onboard SOUNDBLASTER 24bit li've (CA006)
    http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=proddesc&prod_no=69&maincat_no=&cat 2_no=&cat3_no=
This system has run fine for over 2-/2 years now with no troubles it was connected to my PIONEER VSX 86 via SPDIF/toslink? and has excellent sound and performed all that I wanted including DTS DVD's and all my music video clips, DIVX movies etc etc
The trouble is, I have just setup my new system
MSI K9N DIAMOND also with the onboard Creative sound (CA006) and comes supplied with the Creative Audigy disc
    http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=proddesc&prod_no=028&maincat_no=&ca t2_no=7
When I try to install the drivers/setup disc it tells me that there is no Audigy onboard/installed? I have managed to install the drivers/disc from the previous soundblaster li've 24bit, It does work with the Audigy goldmine demo and has all channels of sound as it should but in the Surround mixer speaker settings it will only sound out 2 speakers even when it shows all 5. as it is currently configured
I have tried to download many other drivers with no luck
My main concern is the creative programs from my old system are not what I want, I paid for an AUDIGY setup not LIVE
Is it possible to get the AUDIGY onboard running as it should (showing AUDIGY in hardware manager, not LIVE 24bit)
I would like to be able to run the newer software from the AUDIGY disc but it is not compatible when the LIVE drivers are installed
I have had one set of drivers display AUDIGY in the hardware manager but when I tried to use the speaker settings etc it fails and says soundcard not found even though it clearly shows AUDIGY drivers are installed
I have been very happy with the creative sound so far on my first MSI system but I'm not very impressed with this setup and I'm still not sure who's fault it is MSI or CREATIVE?
Can someone give me some details as to what is going on here, I would like to know if it is also possible to use some kind of new software/programs for the soundblaster LIVE that has maybe more settings/functions or just a later better style as I may have to use the same on my new system
The menu's etc in my new manual (K9N DIAMOND) look almost identical to those included with the K8N SLI, The disc included with the K9N DIAMOND has an AUDIGY quick start program/demo which gives you a preview/guide on how to use the supposed AUDIGY which has all new menu's, layout and features which im unable to use?
As mentioned I have used the soundblaster 24bit LIVE for well over 2 years now connected to my PIONEER VSX86 via a digital cable so all the previous settings etc have been compared and doublechecked but im unable to find answers, If I am unable to find help or any way to install the AUDIGY as im meant to have I may resort to fitting another soundcard and I may got to another brand unfortunately
    Any help appreciated

If I am right the onboard Audigy on the MSI K9N Diamond utilizes the CA006 chip instead of the EMU0k2, therefore it is not a real/genuine Audigy soundcard. In fact it's the same as your former soundblaster li've 24bit which also utilizes the same CA006 chipset. That's why you can use the driver from the SB li've 24bit for your new "Audigy" onboard sound. Also there are other soundcards that are not genuine Audigy soundcards: Audigy Se, Audigy LS and, yes, also the X-fi Xtreme Audio, all utilizing the same chip, CA006. Creative Labs use some marketing techniques, add some different (newer) software/apps for the soundcard and give the soundcard (with the same chipset) a different name. In my opinion, if you for example buy a X-fi Xtreme Audio you in fact for the most part paid for the included newer softwares (which for example add "X-fi features like Crystalizer etc.).
If you really want a better soundcard, maybe go for the X-fi XtremeMusic or XtremeGamer which utilizes the genuine EMU20K chip (with hardware acceleration). The soundquality is significantly higher than the soundcards with the CA006 chip.
As for the drivers for the soundcard:

  • Temporarily freezing audigy 2 and firewire not working - sol

    hi,
i had two problems with my audigy 2 using windows xp:
    a) my firewire port didnt appear to work. i had only one device using firewire which was my creative jukebox zen. i could only transfer 95% of the first mp3 and then it would say that my mp3 player is not responding.
    b) i experienced random and temporary freezes, not only while gaming but even when writing e-mails. everything would hang for a few seconds and then continue to work like if you write text it will appear after the hang.
firewire: i used my audigy 2 in my old pc with windows me and win 2000 without any problems. neither with firewire nor with the eax4 driver patch. under win xp i could only transfer mp3s via usb and that is slow as hell as you can imagine. i first tried if transfers using the firewire port on my mobo worked but it didnt, same prob. i found a fix from microsoft that is not listed in windowsupdate at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en (KB885222). that did not solve this issue but maybe you need that too so I mention it here. then i found some new drivers on the creative site. "oh you fool, why didnt you say earlier that you're using old drivers?" someone might say but these drivers dont work or more specifically, its setup routine sux. it quits with "an error occurred". wow cool... but it appears as it unpacks the driver to c:\program files\creative\jukebox3 or something (note, i have a zen and not a jb3...) so I uninstalled everything, rebooted and told the device manager manually to get the drivers from that location. now it works.
freezes: it took me many, many hours to search the internet, but i found absolutely nothing. sure i'm using the latest drivers (yea they actually work), put the card in slot3 and stuff. then i found a post on this board that mentioned that this guy's audigy had a heat problem. it became too hot and hung. hmm. i have 2x 2cm fans sucking heat out of the box through the radiator of my water cooling so heat is actually mostly get rid of through water and whatever else produces heat (harddisc, video card ram etc) is cooled by some really strong air flow. so wth, this card has worked for almost 2 years in my old box. so i opened the case and saw that air circulation around the audigy was impossible as its sandwitched by two other cards. those parts that i was able to touch were not that hot but i dont know how hot the main chip became and i have no clue why a sound card can become too hot from playing an mp3... anyway, i have left my case open and since then i havent had any freezes. now i also know why the freezes suddenly appeared and not since after i setup my box 3 months ago: it was open until i had cut a hole for the radiator...
oh yea, its good that my expensi've creative stuff works and that it was not creative's fault but that of a moron of a user. now honestly, how is an average user supposed to get their product working when the knowledge base is totally outdated and gives advice such as "update your bios, get the latest drivers and dont put your card into the microwave", when mods in this forum give advice like the knowledge base and the driver is not even installable? creative products are not bad at all, they're not cheap at all too. but the support page is absolutely not informati've and the knowledgebase does not give solutions to known issues. i was never ever able to find anything useful there and i'm really really not an average user but a very experienced one. not everyone wants to use a pre-installed dell box with el-cheapo components. i like to put my own high-end rig together and things must be pushed to the limit BUT still be absolutely rock solid. let me list my recent experience with creative products during the past 2 years:
-) bought an inspire 6. surround system and even replaced my audigy with version 2 for it. but unfortunately the subwoofer had a problem. it randomly made a popping noise which was so loud that it pushed your adrenaline level to that of a base jumper. i then found out that the whole batch had some faulty component. at least i got a replacement within a week, so i thought "yea, great support".
-) bought a jukebox zen, 20gb with firewire. it worked great for almost a year. then it died. when i switched it on, only the creative logo appeared, thats it. recovery mode was inaccessible too. it took me 2 months to convince the support lady to let me return this junk. first they sent me a new adapter because maybe it was damaged and the battery was low and therefore it didnt work anymore... then i was told, ok you can have a new one but we dont have firewire versions in stock anymore. you can have a usb one now or you wait until we get the firewire zen again. i said wtf, you produce this so why dont you have them in stock? and the usb version is sure not an equivalent to my firewire player. woot after 2 months i got a new mp3 player... had to rip 250 cds again (i really prefer having originals) and copy them to the player, but ok, i'm happy again. no, i'm not. this one doesnt work properly either. everytime i dont use the player for more than 24 hours i have to rebuild the database and scan the harddisc. that takes about 0 minutes for like 3000 songs!! grr... but i didnt want to argue with the tech support about that, i can li've with that. maybe i can flash to an older bios if i find one somewhere. from what i read somewhere it is caused by the zen going from hibernate into "off power" mode and then it forgets a few things.
and now i had the two issues described above and had to find a solution myself because the support pages dont help at all. sure you can say i should have thought of a heat problem but all important components are watercooled (even the north bridge) and i had some good airflow in general, but not around the sound card. and who knows that the audigy is that sensiti've to heat and that a sound card even gets hot at all. i've never heard of sound card cooling... i'm not that disappointed about the quality of the hardware because it is ok imo, but with the horrible lack of quality of the support and the buggy driver installation. hey, you get free advice by your customers, think about that. they tell you by themselves what the problem is and what they think may cause it. sure many posts are just flames but you should take ppl here more seriously. and if other manufacturers are to blame then put a list together like: msi k8n neo2 platinum - in this case upgrade to bios .2 or in that case install this or turn on/off that.
alright, i hope anyone can use this information. sorry for the length but i wanted to describe things as precisely as necessary. cheers from austria.

Have you checked the volume button? It might be physically stuck. To determine whether a hardware repair is needed, you need to follow these steps:
    1. Try doing a hard reset:
Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/wake button simultaneously for about 15 seconds and release when the Apple logo appears.
After that: test the device to see whether the issue is solved.
    2. If the issue is not solved, you should backup the device and restore it as new.
    In that case, use: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4137
NB: set up as a NEW device because a software issue will be in the backup.
If the issue persists after restoring as new, you should offer the device for service.
If you get specific error messages/codes in iTunes when updating/restoring, check this: http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3694 for causes and solutions
    Good luck

  • Problems: Audigy SE and DirectSo

I've got an Audigy SE and have been having some (minor) issues. I've run the Creative Diagnostics and the card is failing the DirectSound test. I went through the steps to completely remove the drivers and reinstall them fresh and once they were gone I installed the drivers from my original CD and then ran the diagnostics again. Success! All test passed. I then updated my drivers (once via the AutoUpdate and once manually) and ran the diagnostics again. Failure! The DirectSound test failed. For now I'll be reverting back to the old drivers from the CD. Is there any way to update and still have DirectSound work properly?
    Help appreciated.
    ~Darxide

    I have that problem too.
There are 2 driver versions in the download page and in the Automatic Update utility, the first (the older version: SBA_PCDRV_LB__04_006.exe) works fine but the newer one doesn't work properly with Audigy SE (SB24_VTDRV_LB__04_0077.exe).
Looks like it installs a mix of files for Audigy and SB24, and that makes the card useless.
Also, I've got the same problem as many other people, the audio quality really sucks even compared to my cheap onboard chip, the software included is a mess and gives even less options than my onboard chip's drivers. Like Karaoke, the checkmark to remove voice is not enabled but I can do it even with my old 2. onboard chip.
Games like Half-Life 2: Deathmatch crashes often with it (I guess all Source games become unstable), and the <possible> solution, the newer drivers, simply don't work.
Please Creative fix these problems, because with the actual state of things this simply don't work (I'm back with the onboard chip now).

  • Creative media source and Live!

Does anybody knows what is list of selected cards that can use crossfading in Creative media source?
Why Li've! 5. cannot? Not even EAX?
    Thanks in advance

If you have the newer 24-bit versions of the Li've cards then disregard the following.
Perhaps you've installed some of that updated modded stuff? (I've tried it at times too, but always returned to the official 252 driver/software Uni-Pack stuff.)
The software you've got is not designed for the Li've series of cards. If you used the official cd's for the Audigy 2 series (not ZS), it all works as long as you choose not to install EAX Console and Speaker Calibrator. You should also not install MediaSource Player, choosing instead the PlayCenter 3.02.52 and , on XP, updating it to 3.02.70.
You'll probably need to use the ctcomp.exe (search) on the Audio\language\Setup\Setup.exe file. So you'd need the cd copied to a folder on your harddri've so you can let ctcomp adjust the files.
Then you run AudioHQ and choose to run on startup and load in systray in the options dropdown and use the EAX Control applet to control your effects. The AdvancedEQ effects work as long as you choose the effect, click the ParametricEQ in the center, then tick the volume slider tab with your mouse, exit and save. You need to do this everytime you apply an effect.
Or, you can install the U-UPAX stuff which has been modded (driverheaven forum for links). I believe MediaSource works with their setup.
I'm telling you though, your card will not give you any extra stuff it is not hardware designed to provide. So, you still only get EAX and 2, no Advanced HD EAX 3 or 4.
And, the sound quality for music is superior with the official 252 Li've Uni-Pack setup. Unless you like overwhelming, booming bass and the midrange missing sounds. Those updated Audigy 2 and up drivers may have settings and files for the Li've, but they are tuned for the Audigy 2 and up.
The 3 best optimizations made for the Li've were the old Li'veware 3.0 vxd drivers, the APS mod for the Li've (both for 9x), and the kXProject drivers (for XP). By far the most problem free software package was the Li've Uni-Pack. And it sounds okay.
So there you go. Now, if after you uninstall whatever you've got, the setup file of the package you select doesn't say "No SoundBlaster hardware installed" you'll be lucky. Modern Creative drivers oftentimes remove something when uninstalled that messes up the hardware detection and if installing with CTZAPP doesn't magically let the software setup recognize the card again then only a format will fix it.

  • PRoblems between audigy2zs and 9800pro drive

I have been having a lot of trouble installing my new sound card into my system. Here is the steps I have taken. I installed windows xp pro w/sp2 integrated. I installed all mobo drivers(the onboard sound is disabled in the bios). I then installed the ATI catalyst driver latest version. Next I installed my sound card and software/driver that came with the soundcard. Now here is my problem, when I hit the equalizer on the creative taskbar(the one on the top of the desktop) it gives me an error message that it cannot find the device that that software operates. Now that doesnt sound like a big deal...but in addition to that it also causes my internet to go offline...the moment I start an application that uses hardware sound acceleration(games). Here is what I have done to try to repair this problem.
) Change the order of items installed. This is where I figured out that it was my catalyst drivers causing the creative software not to work correctly. The creative stuff wroks fine as long as the win xp default software is loaded in for my graphics card. The moment I install the updated graphics driver I loose the graphics equalizer.
    2) Change the slot that the sound card is intstalled into. (I have tried them all same result.)
    3) Updated drivers from creative.
    4) Tried different catalyst drivers.
As a side note the only way I can get the internet to work with games is to disable the sound card in the system control panel...and onboard sound through the bios. Otherwise it will give me the boot everytime.
Also I just wanted to mention that the entire system worked flawlessly before the addition of this card. I was simply unhappy with the quality of my on-board sound. I never had any idea I woul dhave this kind of problems. Here is my system specs.
    AMD 2500+Barton
    Soyo KT600 Ultra platnum plus
    WD 200Gig SATA dri've
    gig PC3200 Corsair XMS
    Soundblaster audigy2 zs platinum
    Hercules prophet 9800Pro
I appreciate any help given with this problem I have never had problems like this and am somewhat lost in what to do. Thanks Ken

well, i have ahn saphire 9800pro and audigy 2 sz platinum and internet cable and never had this kind of problem, try to install the audio card on the last slot.

  • Audigy 2 and new dri

I read through the posts but did not find an answer. I have a Falcon NW computer built in December of 2003 and it came with the Audigy 2 card. I have used Auto update before with no problems. I ran it a couple of days ago and it recognized my card and listed the new driver .84.55. I let it download the driver and extract it. But then it said I did not have a Audigy 2 card installed and aborted the install. I check the requirements of the new driver and met them all except I was not sure about the EAX 4 from 9 Nov 03. I downloaded the EAX 4.0 from 9 Nov 03 and ran it and it installed with no problems. So I manually downloaded the new driver and ran it. It again came to the install and said I did not have an Audigy 2 card. The driver is listed for both the Audigy 2 and ZS. Is this causing my problem?
Thanks in advance for any help. Ernie.

Ok, I downloaded driver EAX4DRV_AUDIGY2__84_50 from the Creative d/l page and voila! I have sound! I can hear the OS sounds, I can play CDs, and my music making software works too!
However, when I try to play a DVD there is no sound. I tried playing the DVD in several different players including Windows Media Player and PowerDVD and neither of them produce sound, so I'm assumed it was the sound card. I downloaded the DVDAO223 update from the creative d/l page but the setup never finished; it said I was missing something that it required to load, but when I checked the requirements, I seem to have all the necessary elements. *sigh*
    Any ideas?
Oh, also how do I get a hold of the CDROM that goes with my card? Can I buy another copy from Creative?Message Edited by TGITI on 0-27-2005 07:44 PM
