Audio is low.

The audio sound is very low when I want to listen to anything on line why?

Is this a problem with headphones?
With the speaker
With both?

  • Final Cut Pro Audio Levels Low when exporting to mp3 and mp4

Hi everyone!  When I export audio from Final Cut as an mp3, my levels are very low.  When I export footage as an mp4, the audio is low as well.  But before exporting, my levels are right at or below 0.  So they are where they should be.  So for example, when I open the audio in Adobe Audion or Logic, they could almost be doubled before peaking within those programs.  Could this be a compression issue?  And input would be helpful.  Thanks!

Are you working 0n 10.0.9? If not, update FCPX and see whether that solves the problem.

  • Audio very low

    I have issued with audio
the audio in my notebook is very low

    Hello zain_9274,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand the audio is low on your notebook. Have you tried turning it up?
Seriously, you can turn up the volume on the bottom right-hand corner of the screen where the speaker is. Each program can also increase its own volume.
If you still require assistance, please provide the following information:
    1. The computer's model number. If you require assistance locating this information, please reference this website: Guide to finding your notebook product number
    2. The computer's operating system. If you require assistance locating this information, please reference this website to determine your Windows operating system.
    3. Does this occur on certain programs, or all programs?
    4. Have you installed any new software or drivers on this computer, before the issue appeared?
Additionally, if the issue just began occurring, I would perform a system restore. I want you to bring the computer back to the earliest restore point possible, in an attempt to dodge whatever caused the issue. Here is a document on how to perform a System Restore: System Restore
    Thanks

  • Audio volume low when computer wakes from sleep - os x yosemite

I've been having an issue ever since I upgraded to OS X Yosemite, where the audio volume coming out of my external speakers is extremely low after I wake my computer up from sleep.  The only resolution I have found is restarting the computer.  Once I do that, the audio volume is great.  If I were to boot up my computer after it has been completely shut down, the audio volume is also great.  The issue only occurs after sleep.  Anyone else having a similar issue?  Is there another fix besides restarting the computer?
Speakers: Bose Companion 2 Series II (these are wired, not bluetooth)
Computer: Mac Pro - late 2013 - running Yosemite

This is a BUG.  It has been submitted to engineering many times - unfortunately Apple has not done anything about it.   We have 5 Mac Pros,  all 5 do the same thing after updating to Yosemite.   The  PRAM / SMC reset is useless -  we even  installed a fresh  OS on one of the machines (a suggestion of the level 2 Apple tech)  same problem.   Clearly this is a system level bug.   Only way to get it resolved is to keep pounding the bug report site with requests.     The squeaky wheel gets the oil.   The problem is 100% repeatable on the machines that exhibit the bug.
In the mean time  set up an applescript with this command and it will reset the sound - do not include the brackets :
<do shell script "sudo killall coreaudiod" with administrator privileges>
Run it every time you wake from sleep and you won't have to deal with the problem ever again.
Pretty lame that Apple has not fixed it even though the problem appears to be pretty widespread.

  • Audio out low volume

Our Motorola qip6416-2 suddenly is producing a very low volume on the volume out connectors.  Volume to the TV is OK, but we have both a stereo and a TV-Anywhere hooked up to the audio out, and the volume on both has taken a sudden plunge.  Any suggestions on settings that might need to be adjusted?
    Thanks

Try looking at the compression setting and the fixed or adjustable setting (all under menu => audio).

  • Audio levels low in final cut pro 5

my levells seem low in final cut, tho the master fader of the audio mixer is set to its default zero. I know they are low too because i made omf files from my time line having boosted the levels, which still had to be boosted considerably in the final mix suite. The audio levels on the camera tape were recorded fine. can anyone help?

The audio clip beeps if it is not in the standard format for FCE.
The standard format is PCM Stereo 16bit integer 48kHz.
If the audio is not standard you must render the clip in FCE (Render Only/Item Level or Render All/Item Level) before editing.
The best way in any case is to import audio already standard.

  • HP Mini 110-1030CA headphone audio jack: low-quality

So, the headphone audio jack seems to only give me low-quality unintelligible sound. I've seen various posts about installing the Vista version of the IDT driver, but that didn't work. I don't mean that it didn't solve my problem, I mean it didn't install at all.
So my question is this: has anyone got a defninitive solution for this? Or should i just keep fiddling with it until i give up and take it back to the retailer and make them deal with it?
Thanks. Any help is much appreciated.

I have a HP Mini 110 and I need the pinout for the microphone headphone jack
Is it the same as a iPOD?
Why is it so hard to find out how to plug a Mic and Headphone in?
I am in fact looking to hook up my Mini to my ham radio and I need to find or make a 1/8" phone plug for audio in and a 1/8" phone plug audio out female plug to the 4 pin 3.5 mm audio plug on the mini cable.
    Thanks

  • Audio too low for PCs

Our exported iMovie to iDVD 5 has almost no volume on a PC.
So low can barely hear it.
Is there any way to increase the volume of the iMovie without messing up portions of the video/audio?
Just increase the total volume, not individual clips?

plays well on my mac, but not my sister's. volume too low on hers.
And hers won't play the DVD+RW, only the DVD-R.
And somehow she messed up the audio tracks, so they are no longer separated. Do not know how she did that.
Sister has been using my computer to edit this, as hers has OSX 10.3.9 Jaguar (?) and iMovie 3, and no superdrive like mine. (it's an older Powerbook G4, with less RAM and less )
She is dyslexic and has lots of problems doing things right, or learning new apps.
But she made this work, except the volume problem.

  • Audio gets lower on import???

I am importing a wav file with some speak to a FCP X project- but when I add it to the timeline and play it gets significantly lower in volume than when I play it as received from my sound engeneer??   It´s about minus 12 db and was made to be as close to 0 as possible??
Any ideas what is going wrong??
    Thanks-

Perhaps this discussion of analogoe and digital audio, from the FCP7 manual, willl help.
Analog 0 dB Versus Digital 0 dBFS
Even though audio is exclusively digital in Final Cut Pro, it is likely that your audio will exist in an analog context at some point. Most digital workflows begin with microphones and end with speakers, which are both analog devices.
On an analog meter, 0 dB is the optimal recording or output level of a device. If the voltage is much higher, the signal may distort. If the voltage is much lower, the signal may be lost in the noise inherent in the device. On a digital meter, 0 dBFS refers to the highest audio level allowed before clipping.
When you look at the meters in Final Cut Pro, you need to consider how the signal level will correspond to an analog meter. Specifically, you need to choose a point on the digital meter that corresponds to 0 dB on an analog meter. This point is where your average signal level should be, providing headroom for occasional peaks. Headroom is particularly important in digital audio because any audio that goes beyond 0 dBFS during export or output instantly clips and sounds distorted.
The level you choose for your average audio level affects the potential dynamic range of your mix. The lower your average signal is allowed to be, the greater the difference between the average and loudest sounds, providing a larger dynamic range. However, you should also choose an average level that allows a significant difference between your quietest sounds and the noise floor.
There are several common digital levels used to correspond to 0 dB on an analog meter:
-12 dBFS: This level is often used for 16-bit audio such as DV audio, and for projects with compressed dynamic ranges, such as those for television or radio.
-18 or -20 dBFS: This level is more common on projects with higher dynamic range, such as professional post-production workflows using 20- or 24-bit audio.

  • Voiceover tool audio levels low

I am using the voiceover tool with a new USB mic. (a recommended mic. from B&H) When I record the audio, the levels are really low. I can adjust the levels up in the timeline but they are still lower that I would like them to be. How to I change the incoming audio levels. I have the "gain" at 150.
    Thanks.

yes, thanks, it is at the max level and also what the instructions for my mic. recommended. I am recording at -42 and I can only raise it to -24 after it has been recorded. My mic. is Sonic Distribution USB 1000A.

  • Audio volume low

Could domeone help me with audio recorded in QT directly from the video camera? The audio volume of the .mov file is very low although it's turned to maximum. When the same clip is uploaded from camera to Final Cut Pro the volume of audio is normal. When this clip is exported from FCP to QT the audio of the .mov is loud and clear.

  • Audio too low

I am new here so I don't know if this has been asked before. My audio in is really low and I have gone the the system audio and put it up all the way and I can barely hear any audio. I have tried severl different line in devices and I get the same results. Any suggestions?

Are you trying to use a microphone? The Mac audio input is line-level, so most microphones will need a pre-amp or iMic

Another option is a microphone with USB

  • Audio extremely low

Solving problem for my mom. Toshiba Satellite M45-S169. Windows XP.  Audio is extremely low,
barely discernable but it is there. All volume controls have been verified, devices, drivers are (obviously)
enabled. All audio impacted: system sounds, multiple players, etc.
I personally don't know what triggered the problem or how long it
    has been going on.
Tried loading Service Pack 3, no help.
Tried loading RealTek AC97 drivers from toshiba site (5.10.0.5820), same problem.
Looking for advice from anyone who may have this experience. I vaguely recall solving
a similar problem on my Sony Vaio.
    thanks, jcs

  • Audio very low when i use blutooth Handset in my L...

    Hi,
I have the Handset BH-106 which was working fine with my old Nokia Phones, after i got the Lumia 920 i Found that the Audio became very low after start the Call, it will start good but dropping down with the time, it was very old so i decided to buy i new one and i have selected the BH-217.
i have tested it in the store the Audio was perfect, after few days the same issue accure and now im sure its the Phone issue not the Handset.
i did soo many soft/Hard Resets, i also got the Portico update, and i got other nokia Update (like Audio and others) but nothing worked.
is it really the Phone Issue because i dont want to buy newer handset like BH-220 with no benifits !
what is the soulution and what is the best Audio Hanset (for phone calls only i dont listen to music), which is have a car base like the BH-217 and can go to stand-by Mode.
    Regards,

It seems like this is a common problem with the BH-217 and it's auto adjust volume. You should be able to adjust volume on the phone.
    Others have the same problem.

  • Audio levels lower on Podcast?

I just moved a file from iTunes into iWeb for a podcast. Strangely, the audio level is significantly lower for the file when it plays in iWeb than it does in iTunes. Any suggestions?

Perhaps if you explained how you are working, someone might have some information to use to help you. Otherwise, it sounds like a random anomaly.
