Audio Programming Questions...
Hi everyone,
I am very new with audio programming with Java and I have a couple of questions...
(1) How can I specify a Line from which I can capture audio signal. I want to capture signal from a MICROPHONE and then process the signal (with a FFT function). I tried to use Port (instead of DataLine) and I managed to get the specific port (Port.MICROPHONE) but it seems that port has no function to read from the line. Therefore I assumed that the only way to capture and process audio signal is through DataLine. However I cannot specify the line. How can I do that???
(2) Is it possible to capture and process audio signal through Port??? I mean can I read bytes from a audio stream and write it to a TargetDataLine???

Since you didn't include your location, I don't know where you might meet audio people locally, but you might start with the closest engineering college, or the computer science dept. of a nearby community college or university.

An audio program that will work well with Final Cut
Hello everyone. I posted a similar question online the other day but I guess through all the researching and responses I haven't found much resolve. So I was wondering if you can recall I purchased Logic Studio 8 this last week and have been hesitant to open it up. The reason is because I want as much control over scoring and sound mixing over my shorts as possible. In Soundtrack Pro 2 if I want to score a film I'm limited because I can only use the loops they provide. I can't make my own music (I guess that's called MIDI sequencing?)So my dream situation would be to import my short film or music video into an audio program and mix/score them while I'm watching them in a program other than Soundtrack Pro 2. I only mention Soundtrack Pro 2 because I've used it and I have had problems with it.
For example: If I import a Q.T.File from FCP Timeline into Soundtrack even if I select the FRAME vs. Seconds or Ruler ticks the timeline will not allow me to edit in frames.
Now that's obviously a Soundtrack question. However, Maybe some of you FCP Editors have experience with some software that might be effective for what I'm trying to accomplish with an audio software. Now besides Soundtrack Pro 2 which is included in Studio Logic bundle is there a way to score your project in another way in Logic while watching it at the same time? Also is there a more effective or comparable software to that of Logic Studio where the same intention can be accomplished? Thank you so much for your responses.
ErvPro tools is also an industry standard for doing almost everything audio wise in production. It is very proprietary and when I played with the free version I didn't find it very intuitive. But, It is an industry standard. It can be rather expensive for a complete setup.
I prefer Soundtrack Pro.

Double-click the home button, select the audio app that is playing in the background and either put it in pause or exit the app.

But changes are if you have no sound, you did more than uninstall a player, you uninstalled the driver.... -
Satellite P500 - Can't find Smart Audio program

Sorry to bother you again, but it seems I have another problem. I sent my Satellite P500 for repairing several days ago, but when it came back I could not find that Smart Audio programme on it. And it is never to be found.

As far as I know this Smart Audio program has something to do with the sound driver or lets say its a part of it. So in your case I would recommend reinstalling the sound driver.

I have a programming question here. I spent a lot of time doing it, but I still can't get it. Here is the question :
Write a method called countTo that takes one integer as a parameter and prints a
comma-separated list of the numbers from 1 to the value of the parameter, or an

Why the capture audio program can't work in the phone?
Our capture audio program witch used MMA can run normally on the WTK simulator, but when we down the program into Motorola V303, it can�t work! The document says V303 support JSR-135, why it can�t capture audio by use MMA? The program also can�t work in Nokia 6600! Please give some suggestions!

In main program you have dclared subscreen area.
now First of all you have to declare a selection screen in your main program
selection-screen begin of screen 1005 as subscreen.
SELECT-OPTIONS s_bukrs1 for v_bukrs. "whatever you want in selection screen
selection-screen end of screen 1005.
IN PBO of your main screen (not in 1005) write
call subscreen SUB1 including sy-repid '1005'.
where SUB1 is your subscreen area name. And remember don't touch PBO or PAI of your 1005 screen, otherwise it will give you error. Yuo can just put text in layout of 1005 screen. but don't disturb other things. -

Problems with audio programs after update to Maverics
After updating to Mavericks on my Mac Mini there is problem with audio programs. I cant open iTunes at all, I click it and it disappear in a second. Also when I press play in GuitarPro 6 or in Vox player nothing happens. It just wont start playing. I really dont like this update.. and my mac is slower now. I cant downgrade my system back so this is really frustrating to me as a musician.
I have the same problem with my Conceptronic CH3HNAS and have found a free and easy solution.
Since a lot of people report they are able to access their NAS using apps other than the Finder itself, I decided to look for a free Lion-compatible File Manager to use instead of Finder.
I have found muCommander ( http://www.mucommander.com/ ) and indeed it works fine. All I did was click on the button highlighted bellow, go to "bonjour services" and select my NAS. It prompted me for my username and password and voilá, it works fine.
I keep Finder for everyday use and just load muCommander when I want to access the NAS. At least now I don't have to start my WinXP VM anymore just to access it.

PCM stuck at 100% when using any audio program for the first time
I've had this issue for some months now after an update and couldn't find any solution anywhere so help would be appreciated.
First time I run an audio program after boot PCM gets stuck at 100% and can't be decreased. Also, i3status's PCM info switches from 77% to 850%. No idea if the previous is useful. The problem disappears once that program is closed and PCM is changeable again. I'm using alsa and the chip is Conexant CX20551 (Waikiki), the issue persists even if I add the user to the audio group.

Go to Tools | Add-ons | Extensions, find the Yahoo Toolbar and click Remove ;)

If you have HP Support Assistant installed open it and look at the bottom of the screen-it usually gives Product Number. It can also Update drivers.

Try using Recovery Manager to reinstall your original IDT HD Audio driver ( this will also reinstall the Beats gui ) - the procedure for using recovery manager to reinstall Software and Drivers is detailed in the relevant document on the link below.
Recovery Manager - Windows 8.

Recovery Manager - Windows Vista
After the reinstallation has completed, restart the notebook.
