AudioServices not linking correctly

For some reason whenever I try to run code that calls AudioServicesPlaySystemSound, or related methods, it fails to compile with this linker error:
ld: symbol(s) not found
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
Even Apple's Metronome sample code won't compile. AudioServices.h is imported, I've tried AudioToolbox.h as well, but nothing seems to work; ld just can't find those functions.
Any ideas?

I made the error disappear into a warning
by adding a #define AudioServicesCreateSystemSoundID at the top of the page. Now, however, that call will return a -1073749220 error whenever trying to load an audio file that exists. I've tried wav, aif, and caf, even the caf's included in Apple's metronome, none of which work. What is wrong with AudioServices?

  • Table of content in .book is not linked correctly, it is linked to it self.

    Hi!
    I desperately need some advice on an urgent matter. I made a perfekt little .book-file with a table of content at the front of the book.
    Then I realized that when i turned it in to a .pdf the table of content ( it is also shown i the left-window when I look at it in acrobat ) is duplicated. The left window show my table of content and it links to the text-rows in the table of content, and then below that it shows the rows of the table of content again, but this time it links to the actuall correct pages.
    How can I get rid of this duplication, and just get the correct indexing linking to the pages, but at the same time keeping my table of content in the front of the book?
    Kind regards
    Veronika D

    When converting a FrameMaker book to PDF, the PDF may include bookmarks for additional paragraph tags (on top of those specified in the book's PDF setup)
    The workaround is to specify PDF Setup in the individual file. For example, open your TOC, select Format > Document > PDF Setup, and make sure that the Heading1TOC, Heading2TOC... paragraph tags are not included in the bookmark setup.

  • Authorisation object F_T011 not linked correctly to authorization

    Hello Everybody,
    I get an authorisation problem, I hope to be in the correct forum.
    I am about to adapt some rules for Fi user. When using transaction code S_ALR_87012284, I get an error message about a missing authorisation.
    After running SU53, I see that the object F_T011, with the activity 03 and the statement version I required are missing.
    In PFCG, I added manually in my rule these missing authorisation. I generated the rule but the problem is still happening. In debug mode I see effectively that the "authority-check" on this authorisation object F_T011 is missing.
    In looking in PFCG, I see that my authorisation object F-T011 was added to the authorisation T-BT19013100. But if I run SUIM to see the authorisation object presents in the authorisation T-BT19013100, I see all the other object but not object F_T011.
    It seems that a link or something like that is missing between the authorisation and the authorisation object.
    Does someone have an idea ?
    If someone want more details or screenshots of PFCG or SUIM to better see what I explained, don't hesitate to answer.
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards
    Céline JOMARD

    I find the solution : It seems that I needed to regenerate after transport the rule in the other client.

  • Addthis - in snippet not linking correctly

    (THIS topic has been answered and the links in this first entry will no longer show the errors I described as they have been fixed on the web)
    I added the following code into an "HTMK SNippet" in iWeb:
    <!-- AddThis Button BEGIN -->
    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://s7.addthis.com/js/250/addthis_widget.js#username=xa-4b8b7e353859d7a 7"></script>
    <!-- AddThis Button END -->
    It appears to work, but when I click on the link it creates in Facebook, it takes me all the way to the widget, not the page I'm trying to share.
    You can view the button here:
    http://www.hushaboo.com/Hushaboo/Hushaboo.html
    and where the shared link takes me is here:
    http://hushaboo.com/Hushaboo//Hushaboofiles/widget2markup.html
    Any thoughts? Am I supposed to edite the code I got from Addthis.com?

    Found the answer:
    You need to modify the URL that's shared. See the below code:
    Code:
    <!-- AddThis Button BEGIN -->
    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://s7.addthis.com/js/250/addthis_widget.js#username=lewiswalch"></scri pt>
    <!-- AddThis Button END -->
    Replace "http://www.example.com" with your home page URL, or whatever URL you're trying to share.

  • External stylesheets not linking correctly

    I am working on a site with external CSS files. When I open any shtml file the style is not taken in to account in the design view. When try and access the style sheet from the CSS styles panel or any other way it says mester.css cannot be found. The site was created with a custom template .dwt created by another designer in CS3, I am using CS4.
    The code linking the style sheet goes back to root like this:
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="/css/master.css" type="text/css" media="screen" />
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="/css/mobile.css" type="text/css" media="handheld" />
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="/css/print.css" type="text/css" title="defaultprint" media="print" />
    I have found that by removing the / before the css directory DW does find the stylesheet. However I don't want to have to go through EVERY page and remove the /. Is there any way to get DW to work with this format? I tried updating the template but when I save the template there is not option for me to go back and update the pages that were created using this template.
    Any thoughts?

    If you use the common way of linking style sheets (for example, href="css/master.css") you are using a link that is relative to the current page.
    However, if you use a forward slash in front of the css folder, href="/css/master.css, the leading forward slash means that the css folder is at the root of the site. So, if you move the css folder to the root directory, your css should kick in.

  • Arrange & Environment Window not linking correctly?!

    hi there,
    I just converted from Logic 7 and noticed that my environment is not following 'jumping' to the object I select in the arrange window? I do have the 'same level link' button switch on and it worked perfectly in Logic 7. Since I do have a big environment layer with instruments/ tracks in different rows (specially setup for my needs) and only a selection can be seen at one moment, I have to manually look in the environment where the object is located. is it a bug? or do I miss here something.
    I just hope anyone has an idea how I can solve it. Many thanks in advance.

  • Files not linking correctly

    So kind of a weird issue. I have a folder called "Project" inside that folder is the indesign file then a "links" folder that contatins jpgs/eps etc...
    Now when I decided to copy the entire "Project" folder to the desktop then opened the indesign file in there... for some reason all the links were still pointing to the orginal version instead of the files links in the duplicated version. On co workers computer this isnt' happening but mine it is? Anyone have a clue what's going on here??? Any help wold be awesome!!!

    I think you all have missed the point here.
    Sure, you can relink to folder, or you can package and have ID rewrite the links to the package folder, but that has nothing to do with HOW links work. If you COPY a .indd file to a new folder it keeps the same links, so neither of those suggestions will make any difference on the same machine UNLESS the link paths EMBEDDED in the file cannot be found.
    Packaging works for MOVING a project to a new location because it takes the links along, and since the old locations are no longer accessible ID starts to look for them in the current directory. Relink to folder would only work if the the relinked folder also happened to be in the same directory as the ID file, and the two are moved together (essentially doing an artificial "package"). As long as ID is able to see links in the original locations, it will use them. On the same machine, either option can be used to create a copy with new link locations (and package is easier), but if you copy the folder again to another location on the same machine you just recreate the problem.

  • Table of contents not linking correctly

    Hi, I created a table of contents using a header I created called Chapter Titles. It formatted everything correctly and lists the correct page numbers next to it. The only problem is that when I click on the numbers it sends me to the previous chapter. For example if I click on a chapter that says it starts of page 7, it brings me to the chapter before that is actually on page 3.

    Very odd!
    Seems Pages 5 all you do is chase rabbits down rabbit holes.
    I like being able to do T.O.C.s for every section but with all the other downgrades in Pages 5 it isn't worth fighting.
    Pages '09 should still be in your Applications/iWork folder and just works, much better than its "upgrade".
    Wait for Pages 5 to get out of beta and rate/review it in the App Store.

  • Report Links in OBIEE 11g Dashboard not displayed correctly

    In the Dashboard pages the Report Links for Export are not displayed correctly .
    Instead of showing the multiple options for export/download it shows just text.

    It can be done by doing below steps.
    1) before doing this take a backup of instanconfig.xml file and do the below changes...
    You can configure various options that change the way that right-click interactions are handled in views for an analysis at runtime. The elements in the instanceconfig.xml file specify the default settings for a new or upgraded analysis. You can edit the properties of an analysis in Presentation Services to modify how the analysis handles right-click interactions in views.
    Before you begin this procedure, ensure that you are familiar with the information in Section 3.4, "Using a Text Editor to Update Configuration Settings."
    To manually configure for interactions in views:
    2) C:\Oracle\Middleware\instances\instance1\config\OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent\coreapplication_obips1\instanceconfig.xml
    Open the instanceconfig.xml file for editing,
    3)
    Locate the sections in which you must add the elements
    Include the elements and their ancestor elements as appropriate, as shown in the following example:
    <ServerInstance>
    <Analysis>
    <InteractionProperties>
    <InteractionPropertyAddRemoveValues>false</InteractionPropertyAddRemoveValues>
    <InteractionPropertyCalcItemOperations>false</InteractionPropertyCalcItemOperations>
    <InteractionPropertyDrill>false</InteractionPropertyDrill>
    <InteractionPropertyGroupOperations>false</InteractionPropertyGroupOperations>
    <InteractionPropertyInclExclColumns>false</InteractionPropertyInclExclColumns>
    <InteractionPropertyMoveColumns>false</InteractionPropertyMoveColumns>
    <InteractionPropertyRunningSum>false</InteractionPropertyRunningSum>
    <InteractionPropertyShowHideSubTotal>false</InteractionPropertyShowHideSubTotal>
    <InteractionPropertySortColumns>false</InteractionPropertySortColumns>
    </InteractionProperties>
    </Analysis>
    </ServerInstance>
    4) Save your changes and close the file.
    5)
    Restart Oracle Business Intelligence.
    Mark as correct if it is helpful :)
    Thanks.

  • Internal Links in HTML Document Not Working Correctly in PDF

    I have an HTML document that contains internal links (basically a Table of Contents). When the document is displayed in a browser, the internal links work correctly. However, when I use Acrobat 8 Professional to create a PDF version from the HTML source, the links don't go to the correct place when clicked. It almost appears that they are off by one, e.g., link 7 goes to anchor 8. I can send the source document for you to look at if you email me at eharris -at- synnovation.com. I am not expert in HTML and perhaps the links/anchors are not done correctly when I create the HTML document. Does anyone have any ideas on this?

    This one has the same problem. For instance, "Anchor1" as <a name="Anchor1"> appears 13 times. I am sure that your problem is that Acrobat is going to the last occurance that is just before the first one. As I scan through the file I find similar results for all of the anchors. When I used Tidy, it reduces about 1350 errors to about 474, but that is still not too good. The validator is flagging a lot of identical IDs as well as unrecognized attributes (like ONSELECTSTART). The attributes correctly accepted by body are
    Attribute Specifications
    * BACKGROUND=URI (background image for document)
    * BGCOLOR=Color (background color for document)
    * TEXT=Color (text color for document)
    * LINK=Color (link color for document)
    * VLINK=Color (visited link color for document)
    * ALINK=Color (active link color for document)
    * ONLOAD=Script (document has been loaded)
    * ONUNLOAD=Script (document has been exited)
    as listed on htmlhelp.com for HTML 4. There may be some new ones in HTML 5, but I did not check.
    I am not looking at all of your HTML in detail, but there appears to be a lot of unneeded things based on the error messages from the validator. Many browsers will let you display the stuff (even Acrobat), but there may be errors that crop in when you do not expect it or on some other browsers that the one you check. Thus again, you should use a validator. If you are only off a few tags that might be fine, but when it is in the 1000s, there is an issue. It would also be good to break your page up into parts. It is good practice on web pages for each page to be not much more than one screen. That is often exceeded, but 59 screens of info (on my screen) is a bit much. The TOC is definitely needed in that case, but just was well go to a sub page just as well and make the info easier to track. A PDF (as you are trying to get) could be made of the entire system for those that want it all in one bit. Bill

  • Links do not display correctly in my pdf

    www and http are not displaying in pdf files converted from MS Word
    When I convert a Word document to pdf using Acrobat Pro 9.0, the website addresses do not display correctly. For instance, if my document shows www.website.com - then the pdf only displays .website.com. Also, if I have the http://www.website.com - I get ://www.website.com. Please HELP! I remember having this problem when I used the trial version of Acrobat 9.0, at the time, I just removed the link & the document converted fine. For this file, I REALLY need the links to be active.
    For now, I have resorted to using a pdfmaker that costs about $5 on e-bay. It works just fine - why doesn't my Adobe Acrobat work?

    PDF maker is the part of AA9 Pro that converts the links for you. You did not say how you are creating the PDFs, but you have to use PDF Maker (the create PDF button in WORD) to get the links correct, or add them manually in Acrobat.
    I have no idea what PDF Maker you are talking about for $5 a day, since it is part of your package and is thus no additional cost. If you are printing to the Adobe PDF printer, you are not using PDF Maker.

    The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
    Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
    The error hints at a similar pattern to those discussed in the first and third boxes of the user tip, suggesting that you've got an outdated .dll file that needs replacing. You should find CoreMedia.dll in the one of the following folders:
         C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
         C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
    Delete it and then repair Apple Mobile Device Support from the Programs and Features control panel. If that doesn't work go for the full tear down and rebuild.

  • Excel linking is not working correctly

    Hello.
    I have been working with CS4 and linking excel sheets, using name ranges. The excel sheets were created in Excel 2010 and then saved down to 97-2003 as .xls files. This has been working successfully for a year.
    However, I recently upgraded to CS5.5 (while still running CS4 on the machine as well), and am now having some issues.
    The excel sheets that are created in Excel 2010 and being saved as .xls files are now not presenting correctly when I try to place them into InDesign (both CS5.5 and CS4). The file lists the worksheets, but presents all the name ranges under the first worksheet option, and none under the following worksheets.
    I have tried recreating the Excel sheets (new worksheets with the data copy/pasted in), and then adding in the name ranges. I've tried this building the worksheets front to back, and back to front. However, when I add in the name ranges and try to place them into InDesign, the same error occurs.
    Can anyone tell me if they have had a similar problem, and if they have any suggestions and/or solutions?
    Regards,
    Lisa.

    Thank you, Bob.
    I was aware of the .xlsx issue, which is why we have been saving the files back to .xls.
    This problem wasn't happening with CS4 files before we upgraded to 5.5, but now it is occuring in both 4 and 5.5.
    EDIT:
    I've done a little more "experimentation". The problem is not occuring in newly created excel files, so I now suspect the problem is in the supplied files.
    It is possible the client is populating their data in a particular way that is affecting the excel sheet.
    For example, if I open a new worksheet and copy/paste the cells from the original file, it will replicate the error (so all name ranges list under the first worksheet option when trying to place into InDesign).
    However! If I swap the order of the worksheets in the excel file and then try to place in InDesign again, the name ranges now list under the NEW first worksheet.
    Has me baffled!
    EDIT #2:
    I have managed a solution of sorts...
    If I move/copy the worksheet from the original excel sheet into a new excel sheet, it will hold the name ranges when placing into InDesign, even though the original Excel sheet doesn't!
    Logic defies me, but at least I can finish this project and supply a work process for the client to receive future files from them.
    This "fix" has worked in .xls for both CS4 and CS5.5
