Authentication Issue, When Profile ReCreate

Hi,
i face authentication issue in SQL Server 2012 Evalution after i login in new account.
Take a look situation and what i did.
1) I install SQL Server 2012 in Member Server (Server 2012 Standard).
2). Every Thing i Did i by using AD User name "SP_Farm"
3). I install SQL in Windows Authentication Mode only and i provide User ****\SP_Farm, when Ever Installation Ask.
Note: during the whole process i only use SP_Farm (AD Admin User)
Every thing going working fine till my mistake. By mistake i delete account SP_Farm from AD and i re create it.
after that i cant access Management Studio. :(
Please Guide if is there any other way.
Thanks you

Creating a user with the same name is
not the same user :-)
A user has a unique ID and you did not create the same ID, but a new user with same name.
after that i cant access Management Studio. :(
Please Guide if is there any other way.

• Wireless Client Authentication issues when roaming Access Points (Local)

I have a Cisco 5508 with Software version 7.4.121.0 and Field Recovery 7.6.101.1.
There are a handful of clients that when roaming between AP's with the same SSID that get an authentication issue and have to restart the wireless to get back on.
From Cisco ISE
Event
5400 Authentication failed
Failure Reason
11514 Unexpectedly received empty TLS message; treating as a rejection by the client
Resolution
Ensure that the client's supplicant does not have any known compatibility issues and that it is properly configured. Also ensure that the ISE server certificate is trusted by the client, by configuring the supplicant with the CA certificate that signed the ISE server certificate. It is strongly recommended to not disable the server certificate validation on the client!
Root cause
While trying to negotiate a TLS handshake with the client, ISE expected to receive a non-empty TLS message or TLS alert message, but instead received an empty TLS message. This could be due to an inconformity in the implementation of the protocol between ISE and the supplicant. For example, it is a known issue that the XP supplicant sends an empty TLS message instead of a non-empty TLS alert message. It might also involve the supplicant not trusting the ISE server certificate for some reason. ISE treated the unexpected message as a sign that the client rejected the tunnel establishment.
I am having a hard time figuring out what is causing this. My assumption is if there were a problem with the Controller or AP configurations then it would happen to everyone. My further assumption is if the client had a problem with their laptop (windows 7) then why does work at other times? So I have checked and the ISE certificate is trusted by client.
Is something happening that the previous access point is holding on to the mac and the return authentication traffic is going to the old AP instead of the new one or something like that which is corrupting the data?
I also had this from Splunk for the same client:
Mar 5 13:44:51 usstlz-piseps01 CISE_Failed_Attempts 0014809622 1 0 2015-03-05 13:44:51.952 +00:00 0865003824 5435 NOTICE RADIUS: NAS conducted several failed authentications of the same scenario
FailureReason="12929 NAS sends RADIUS accounting update messages too frequently"
Any help on this would be appreciated. These error messages give me an idea but doesn't give me the exact answer to why the problem occurred and what needs to be done to fix it.
Thanks

• 802.1X Authentication issues when moving between switch ports

Hi Guys,
We are having some issues at our office where when users move from one switch to another, the 802.1X authentication does not want to take place. The PC just gets an APIPA address. Now I have read about features that MAC Move and MAC replace but they seem to be used when moving from one port a switch to another port on that same switch. Will MAC move help for issues between switches? And should I focus my attention on the switch's configuration or have a look at the NPS server that might be blocking that authentication as the user is already authenticated?
My configuration we have on the switch ports look as follows:
authentication host-mode multi-domain

• User authentication issues when auth by external radius server

We tend to use FF in a corporate environment to manage our networking devices (firewalls/switches/routers etc). Came across a bizarre problem under the following conditions:
ZyXEL Network Switch (GS2200-24) uses external authentication (RADIUS) to allow management and accounting of who makes changes.
When logging into the switch with FF, we get repeated prompts for user authentication. Eventually the user is logged in (and no it's not a typo!). Looking through the dev console in the beta, it seems to get a 401 unauthorised back from the switch once it tries to load another html file.
The browser *should* be presenting the same credentials to each called page within the site, it doesn't seem to :-(
No site added as it's an internal IP address....

• UCCX CAD authentication issue when pub is down

        Hi,
we are using LDAP CUCM authentication and agents were unable to login to the CAD (login timeout...) when publisher server is down. It seems that LDAP authentication  is not working when publisher is down.
Tomas

Hi
1) You can test whether LDAP is working when the pub is down by logging into ccmuser on a subscriber when the publisher is offline.
2) I would first check your CM configuration in UCCX. On the System/Unified CM Configuration menu, check that you have more than one server configured for AXL, this is a common misconfiguration. You'll also need to verify that the AXL service is activated on the CUCM servers you select. AXL is what UCCX uses to authenticate the users.

• Authentication issue when downloading jar files

Hi,
I am having a problem starting up my application when the application server, in this case WebSphere 5.0, requires the user to be authorized.
In our development environment the server uses basic authentication but once deployed in our test environment we are required to use form based authentication, which I've read that JWS cannot handle.
The current flow is as follows:-
1. The user navigates to a protected page and is prompted to enter a user name and password.
2. Once authenticated they are shown the page that contains a link to a JNLP file.
3. The user clicks on the link, JWS processes the JNLP file and requests the first jar file.
4. The application server sees that there is no 'authorization' header set on the request so asks for the credentials again.
5. For basic authentication the user is prompted by JWS to enter the user name and password and the download succeeds.
6. For form based authentication, JWS instead receives an HTML login page and, after a short period, reports that it received a corrupted jar file.
I was wondering if there is any way to pass key/value pairs within the JNLP file (or any other approach to pass this data) that JWS could then use to populate the 'authorization' header of the request to load the jar files?
If this is not possible, are there any other techniques I could use to get round this?
I am currently passing other data via the 'JSP as JNLP' approach with my own servlet so can make dynamic changes to the JNLP file as needed.
Thanks in advance.

Hi ipooley,
I came upon your posting here after I've been searching for long for some "standard-conform" decision to this IMHO very popular problem and I was not able to find something so far apart of adding some jsessionid to the jar files in the href tag in order to hack the app server to believe the client is authenticated. In my case this doesn't help as well because the authentication is done separately through the company portal. Could you please give me some more details about your "hack"? I've tried to call the jnlp file from an applet (simply with showDocument(jsp generating jnlp) but this doesn't (and actually it can't) work too. And what about the jnlp file itself - if I set the href in the jnlp I have the same problems with the jnlp too?
thanks in advance for your reply,
Ilko

• Getting SPWeb.CurrentUser as null with Windows Authentication (AD), when configured for Claims Authentication

Hi All,
We recently migrated to SP 2013 from SP 2010. We are using most of the OOB features, with a few custom code. We have implemented a custom ASP.NET Membership Provider that authenticates against a web service. This was working fine on SP 2010.
The entire code base was migrated to SP 2013 (with .net fw 4.5, etc) and any issues Compile / Runtime were fixed. However, we are stuck at one bug, which seems to be occuring only while trying to login with Windows Authentication. When a user tries to login
with Forms Authentication, the error is never noticed.
Scenrio: Login as Windows Authentiction.
Result: The user is signed into the system and is authenticated against the AD. For random page loads - it throws access denied (even though he is a site collection admin). While attaching a debugger, we found that, at times the SPWeb.CurrentUser is null (weird).
At the same time, the HttpContext.Current.Request.IsAuthenticated returns true. Which means the User is Authenticated, but not available in the SPWeb.CurrentUser object.
Attached are couple of ULS Logs that we found. The line which says IsAuthenticated=True, UserIdentityName=, ClaimsCount=0 is a little disturbing. Can you please let me know what is happening here? I am not able to access the root site (http://win2012d2:1234/)
however, i am able to access (http://win2012d2:1234/SitePages/Home.aspx) just fine, without any issues.
Please note, this error is only when the user is logged into sharepoint as a windows user. The forms user faces no such issues.

Hi Mohamed,
According to your description, my understanding is that the error occurred when users login with Windows Authentication.
From the error message, I recommend to check if the anonymous access is enabled for the web application.
And please also make sure that the users all are available and have permission to access the site.
Here is a similar thread for you to take a look:

Best regards.
Thanks

• Offie Web Apps 2013 randomly fail to render a file with an authentication issue on Firefox

Hello,
I’m facing an issue when refreshing a SharePoint page with an embedded Office file (rendered through Office web apps).
When I refresh the page, the Office Web Apps frame doesn’t render the file (randomly) and returns an error (in the frame. Everything around the frame in SharePoint is OK):
“Sorry you don’t have access to this content”
Just after receiving the error, if I refresh the page again, everything works for a couple of tries and then the error show up again...
Here is my configuration:
SharePoint 2013 Server SP1 (15.0.4569.1000) farm English version
Office Web Apps farm English version
SSL Offloading through load balancer for both farm
Issue:
1st load of the page with IE, Chrome and Firefox > OK
Page refresh with IE/Chrome > OK
Page refresh with Firefox > random KOs
Tests:
Test with FireFox version 24/27/32 > same results
Test from Windows/OSx > same results
Test with 1 WFE and 1 WAC server > same results
Test with network.negotiate-auth.allow-insecure-ntlm-v1;True
on FF > same results
In the ULS logs, I found this entry which seems strange even though I’m authenticated on SharePoint (see the complet log below):
Non-OAuth request. IsAuthenticated=False, UserIdentityName=, ClaimsCount=0
Followed by
System.UnauthorizedAccessException:   Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED)),   StackTrace:

Microsoft recommendations about FireFox:
Lastest versions of IE, Chrome and Firefox should work
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263526(v=office.15).aspx
Other details:
I’m not testing with the farm account.
Some of my company’s users need to use Firefox as their everyday browser.
Again, everything works with IE and Chrome.

• Authentication issue getting "UMELoginException"

Dear Guys,
I am facing an authentication issue. The situation is like this,
My NT password was about to expire (had 6 more days for expiry). I was able to login till yesterday and all of the sudden today, when I was trying to login, I was not able to (it gave me password change message). So I went back and changed my NT password and tried to login again into the portal, however I am still not able to. I am pasting the stack trace,

• DAG Kerberos Authentication Issue Exchange 2010 on 2008R2 Servers

I have 2 Exchange 2010 servers in a DAG. The witness server is in site A along with one the Exchange servers. The second Exchange server is in a DR site. The DAG has been functioning fine for 1.5 yrs. Last weekend after a scheduled reboot of all 3 servers
involved (2 e-mail servers and the witness server), the e-mail server in the DR site cannot gain access to the witness share directory per the failover cluster manager. It says to check to see if the witness directory is on-line, etc... Using pings and
explorer, there is no problem for the DR site e-mail server to contact the witness server and directory. Even restablished the Quorem to the same directory, no issues. Upon doing a network trace though, I am receiving KERBEROS pre-authentication errors when
you start the Cluster service on the DR site e-mail server when it tries to contact the witness server:

• Authentication issues

We've had authentication issues with Infinity since the install just over a week ago (BT Business package)
The router will drop the connection and then we have a problem reconnecting (won't). Out of sheer frustration I've discovered a workaround that sometimes works that is to change the user name to the BT test account, connect, and then change the router user name setting back to our own. The BT test account always works, so despite a BT engineer being sent to trace the problem onsite yesterday the issue remains. We've also been sent a new router, and the BT engineer arrived with yet another new one yesterday
The problem seems to be purely authentication. The Technical Helpdesk have changed our password (twice) but we still get the problem. Yesterday I was told that some other users in our area have also had an authentication issue and that over the weekend 'patches' were going to be applied at our local exchange.
When the service works we get quite good speeds (37 down, 8 up) but we're frustrated with the lack of knowledge from the help-desk and have doubts that the 'patches' will resolve the issue
Such is the problem that BT will downgrade us back to ADSL2 (which was rock solid in comparison) next week if we're still unhappy
I did ask if our user name could be changed but told no. I'm curious to know as to what the switch to fibre could cause authentication problems?

• Transparency issues when printing from Illustrator CS5

I recently designed a flyer for an event that a group of artists and I are doing as a not-for-profit organization that we started, to help clean up the area and promote the arts.
When I print the file (saved as an AI), the colors are bold, the font is crisp, and everthing overall looks fantastic, apart from this "box" around some of the elements I have created/added to the file.
When being printed from an exported jpeg format, the boxes are not present, but the image overall is of lesser quality (i know it's from being compressed to a jpeg), and the colors are not as bold.
I only have a black & white printer, a Brother MFC-7220. I only found out this issue when my curiousity got the best of me, and printed it to see what it'd look like on paper (8.5"x11") before we sent it off to the print shot. This is when I noticed the problem.
The elements which have this box around them were edited in Photoshop CS 6 (trial), where I had (at least thought), disposed of each elements background, so I could import them into AI as objects, without any background.
The files were edited in PS in new documents with a transparent background, saved as a PSD, then "opened" in Illustrator where I simply copied the object and pasted into the AI file I was working in. I've tried recreating/re-adding the elements from PS back into AI with the same issue.
The image also looks perfect on my screen, no boxes whatsoever. I've tried playing around with printer settings, transparency/raster settings, but the only thing I can get close, is the low-quality jpeg file. This problem also happens when exporting to a PDF, which is what I typically use for my printing format from AI.
Any ideas what's going on here? The pictures linked below show a photo of the AI and the jpeg, and a screencap of my desktop as the AI stands right now. The jpeg export has a few minor changes to it, but are still otherwise the same. The only items that are "supposed" to have this, are the logos for our sponsors in the bottom-left corner.
I'm stumped, nothing is working that I've read about, and I need to get these printed as soon as I can! Any help would be appreciated - please keep in mind I'm a novice when it comes to AI/PS, I know mostly basics.
PICTURES

I, too am having the same issue printing from AI CS5. I have edited images in PS CS5 and there is a transparent background. I then placed (File>Place) the PSD files into AI and everything looks good on screen. However, I'm also getting a strange box that appears around my images—though the box itself isn't a solid opaque—it looks more like there's a overprint or screen and so it just shifts the colors behind it. I've tried saving the images as transparent PNGs with the same result. I've also tried playing with my transparency settings in the print dialogue to no avail.
Strangely this is only occurring when I print at 100% size. I came upon this by happenstance when I accidentally printed a copy at 75% and everything was fine. If anyone has any insights, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

• Color Profiles even when Profile set as Default keep switching - G570

I recently had to calibrate the G570 monitor. The default profile for Lenovo is too blue and for office work this may not be a problem. However, it's an issue when drawing and illustrating.
For example, the image imbedded in this thread http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=232287
Shows someone having issues with color management because the Samsung profile is too yellow, and yet their display shows whites (ie in the layers palette, OS etc...)
If you look through the default Lenovo or Thinkpad calibration, your monitor is too blue to tell the difference between the hues. I calibrated mine with a Spyder Express.
Now on to the problem. Even though I have it on as default to be loaded in Color Management in Windows 7, it appears to keep flickering off and on between the default profile that comes with Lenovo laptops and the Calibrated profile with Spyder express.
Even in the Advanced settings in Color Management and setting the default as the Spyder icm profile, I still get the flickering when it comes out of sleep/monitor turned off etc.
Is there a way to keep it consistently on?
Solved!
Go to Solution.

The link I provided before is the solution.
If you have a custom color profile for color management, you need to disable igfxpers.exe from dominating it.
I disabled it in the Startup Services, and ended the process in the Task Manager. My monitor now stays at the profile I calibrated it for.
This is a problem with Intel's software and not Lenovo.

• Having issues with profile manager on 10.9 loosing users/device assignments.

I'm having issues with profile manager on 10.9 loosing users/device assignments. Luckly I only have arround 70 devices added so far. The first time it happened I thought it was just a freak thing, but it has just happened again. What I find weird is nothing on the server was changed, no devices added. So when this happens my users phones lose access to email, because I'm using variables, which rely on the user being assigned to the device. Anyone know how to fix this, and if not. Does anyone know how to backup and restore just profile manager in 10.9. Thanks.

I enabled all users in my AD "Domain Users" group access to "Profile Manager". I had also initially enabled "Profile Manager" access for a few individual users. Those users did not loss the device assignments. I'm not absolutely sure why/if allowing access for a group is causing this issue. Enabling access for each person would be very time consuming.... Maybe adding access to the individual users is importing that user into OD?
