Authorizations required in ECC to test a service from CE

I am getting <faultstring xml:lang="e">Authority check failed</faultstring> when i test my service from service register.
The RFC function module is tested and exposed as service correctly, we are in ECC 50 (NW 2004s). Please let me know what authorizations are required. I already have SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_ADMIN and a role to execute RFC's

Hi,
Did you test this service using another tool, like SOAP UI?

  • What is the use of a proxy client to test web service from ABAP code?

In NW640, we need to create a proxy client to test our web service from a ABAP code.
Why is this so? What is the significance of a proxy client? Is this mandatory? Can we test the webservice from a ABAP code without proxy client?

    Hi Gopal,
There are two types of proxies that can be generated from ABAP - the client proxy (to call an internet web service) and a server proxy (to communicate with XI). It sounds to me like you are looking for information about the client proxy, if so you can see the following link from SAP Help:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/e5/a68d10f4eb894087fc9c1c3f9ae433/frameset.htm
    Hope this helps.

  • Issue with testing web service via SICF

Hi, I am trying to test service via SICF. This service is for a FM based Web Service. When I test the service from SICF it passes the authorization checks but then error page, "Page not Found" is shown with error "HTTP 500 - Internal server error Internet Explorer".
The trace file shows the errors:
    Error in module XMLConverterReadTag:3059
can not read XML data stream(2097184)
Does anyone know what is causing this issue. The FM which the web service is based on is a test FM with one line of code and returns the character 'S'.
Any idea or suggestion will be great.

    Dear Shay,
    Thanks for your prompt response.
You are right. JDeveloper 11g uses JDK 6 style annotations for the clients it creates. But you can change the JRE Version used at compile time by following these steps:
    1. In the Applications Navigator, right-click the Project Nanem node and select Project Properties... from the context menu.
    2. Select the Compiler node and check the Source Files and Generated Class Files dropdown lists. You may change these versions depending on the version of the JRE you are using with Forms to ensure that the compiled
classes from JDeveloper can be read by the JRE used by Form.
So I selected JDK version 1.4 there.
Sorry that I did not mention that we are using Oracle Forms 10g. That is the reason I selected JDK 1.4
    Thank you.
    Scott.

  • OSB 11g - testing Business service throws Premature end of file.

    Hi,
I am testing a business service which invokes a webservice. I have a load balancer.
When testing business service from test console, I get the error "SoapService.doPost: unparseable XML in client Soap request, exception: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: Premature end of file."
    I tried the following options:
    1. Changed <http:Connection> to close
    2. Added -DHTTPClient.disableKeepAlives=true in console - Servers-osbserver - Server Start
    Any pointers will be helpful.
    Thanks

    Hi expert,
when i try to test sdk services from my ip communicator message host not found display.
i subscribe Ip phone to services, and i add services to my call manager.
but service is not visible from my ip communicator.
    Please help.

    - Is the IPC on the same LAN as CCM or is there a firewall between IPC and CCM?
    - What version of CallManager are you currently running including any service releases and/or engineering specials?
    - What version of IP Communicator you are running. Is this the only IPC you have setup or are there other IPC that are having this problem.

  • Run time error while testing a service through transaction SICF/SOAMANAGER

    Hi all,
We created a service for publishing the function module in web services through WSDL. When we try to test the service using SICF transaction / SOAMANAGER transaction, we get a run time error.
We are not sure whether any other  settings or steps required for testing the web services..
Could you please let us know which steps/configurations we are missing?
Details of the run time error.
    Service cannot be reached
    What has happened?
URL http://in.ap1.sy.com:8000/wsnavigator call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.
    Note
The termination occurred in system ECC with error code 404 and for the reason Not found.
The selected virtual host was 0 .
    What can I do?
    Please select a valid URL.
If you do not yet have a user ID, contact your system administrator.

    Thanks
    Siva

Please ask you Basis admin to perform the following.
    1) Check wether the Java Stack ( Portal, BI system etc) is avaliable in your landscape.
    2) Execute tcode SOAMANAGER in ECC system. This will take you to a new browser where you have to login with your SAP username and password. Under SOA MANAGEMENT you can see Technical Configuration tab>click on System Global Settings>and select Access Information J2EE server. Here provide the hostname and the port number. Save the entries.
3)Execute tcode SMICM>Goto>Services. Here you can check for the HTTP Service Name/Port number
    4) Activate the required services from tcode SICF

    Thanks for the blog Salil.
What ever it is mentioned is already done in SOAMANAGER. Endpoints are available for the service.
Below is the Overview of the service:

    Porttype Name:             YMTEST_WS

    SOAP Applikation:         URN:SAP-COM:SOAP:RUNTIME:APPLICATION:RFC:710
    Package Name:             $TMP
Ok, i have developed 2 web services. One web service in ECC 6.0, where Java stack not available so i provided CRM system Java stack address in the global setting and executed my ECC 6.0 web service which says "No endpoints are found for the Web service"
    Following is the URL:  http://tuasd06db.tuasw2k.tuaspower.com.sg:8000/sap/bc/srt/wsdl/sdef_YMTEST_WS/wsdl11/ws_policy/document?sap-client=220
The one web service which created in CRM 2007, i can test in the navigator, no problem with that.
    Following is the URL:
    http://tuasd06db.tuasw2k.tuaspower.com.sg:8002/sap/bc/srt/wsdl/bndg_DE7DA5BA0B3A93F1AF60001A64258BFC/wsdl11/allinone/standard/document?sap-client=220
You can find the URL difference btw the URL's. Do i need to publish the service in the service registry? I thought for testing it is not required.
Now all i have problem with the ECC 6.0 web service.
    Cheers,
    Madhu

    Hi Brian,
I did settings for Database and SFTP only. The advanced setting on "new cloud connection" screen fills automatically. when I tried to remove the advanced setting such as host name, port, server path and service name. then it is asking for hostname.
After doing all the steps i am facing the same issue of " HTTP/1.1 407 Proxy Authorization Required".
Could you please help me to resolve the issue?
Thanks for your help and support.

Did you set up your HTTP Proxies inside of the settings in SQL Developer? Does the particular database you are attempting to access, does the proxy server need authentication? Again, check the http proxy options in sql developer.

  • Error while testing SAML service in PI7.1

    Hello all,
I am creating a SAML secured service in PI 7.1
I have used WS adapter in sender communication channel and reciever as RFC adapter to extract data from the system.
I have done the necessary config in sender and receiver agreement and created the wsdl manually.
Now to test that service i have created another component as the client.
The sender is the SOAP channel and in the receiver, WS adapter is used.
With these basic configurations, i have created another wsdl file which invokes my previous service.
When i tested the new wsdl i get an error.
    <SAP:Code area="INTERNAL">WS_LOGICAL_PORT</SAP:Code>

Kindly guide me as to what is to be done for creation of logical port in *NWA as this tool is available for PI7.1 for me.
    Regards,
    Kevin

    Hi Kevin,
What I meant to say is that there are multiple levels of settings required to enable SAML based communication. I wanted to ask you if you have already done those configurations.
See the image given at following URL.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/94/695b3ebd564644e10000000a114084/content.htm
As you can see there is multiple parties involved in the overall SAML authentication process.
May be following blog will be helpful.

  • How to call a web service from BPEL that requires HTTP basic authentication

    Hi All,
I need to calling some Web Services from BPEL (SOA 10.1.3.1 production running on XP machine). The services require HTTP basic authentication.
I have tried adding httpUsername and httpPassword properties to the ParnterLink, and I see in BPEL Console that they are deployed by checking the descriptor page. But I still get a SOAP fault, HTTP 401: Unathenticated.
I have also tried using basicHeaders (from memory) = credentials, httpBasicUsername, and httpBasicPassword. Same result.
I have done a packet trace using Ethereal, and the headers do not seem to contain the userid and password at all.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks,
    Mark Nelson

    Thanks Bas,
I have resolved the issue. The provider of the Web Service had not configured if for Basic Authentication. For some reason it worked when they tested, or maybe the did not test. The only thing I had to change was to use:
    <property name="basicHeaders">credentials</property>
    <property name="basicUsername">WMDATA</property>
    <property name="basicPassword">WMDATA</property>
    Instead of:
    <property name="httpUsername">WMDATA</property>
    <property name="httpPassword">WMDATA</property>
I don’t know why this is, maybe because it is an Axis Web Service.
    Sorry for wasting your time.
    Regards Pete

  • Content Server Error: 407 Proxy Authorization Required

    Hi Experts,
I am new to Content Server and have recently installed Content Server 6.40 with MaxDB 7.8 database on a Windows 2008 server.
The installation completed successfully and IIS server was configured as per guide. The Content server is running when checked through URL on server.
Next, we created a new repository with following details, but are facing "HTTP error: 407 Proxy Authorization Required" while testing the connection.
    Settings in OAC0
    Content Rep.    A1
    Document Area: ArchiveLink
    Storage type: HTTP Content Server
    Version no.: 0046
HTTP server: <IP of Windows server where CS is intalled>
    Port Number     1090
    HTTP Script     ContentServer/ContentServer
    Transfer drctry C:\temp
HTTP Port 1090 is open from SAP system(HP-UX) to Content Server(windows) and there is no firewall between the 2 servers, but we still see the error in OAC0 and CSADMIN. I also tried setting the security parameter to 0 in contentserver.ini file, but that didn't help either.
The content server was installed using administrator user.
Would appreciate your inputs on what am I missing?
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Varun

    Hi Varun,
Please change Document Area: ArchiveLink .
Remove Archive link and change it to Document Management system ( DMS)
Check the results and post the output.
    Regards,
    Deepak Kori

  • Publish a service from ECC 6.0 to Service Registry on PI 7.1

    Hello All,
I've been trying to publish a service from ECC to the SR that has been configured on PI 7.1.
I've followed the below steps to configure the connectivity from ECC to PI.
    1. On PI 7.1, created 2 destinations (UDDI_DESTINATION & CLASSIFICATION_DESTINATION) with http authentication (used admin user id with uddi_admin and service_registry_read_write roles assigned)
    2. On ECC, created an RFC destination of type G to point to PI 7.1 with path prefix /ESRegistryWS/BasicAuthConfig?wsdl&style=document.
    3. On ECC, assigned this RFC destination on LPCONFIG for proxy class CO_ESREGISTRY_WSSI and port LP_WORKPLACE.
    4. On ECC, WSPARAM created a new UDDI registry entry with logical port name LP_WORKPLACE.
Next, I tried to publish a Z service from ECC (WSPUBLISH) to this new UDDI registry and I get a prompt to enter a user id and password for the service "/ESRegistryWS/BasicAuthConfig": I inputted the admin id which has uddi_admin and service_registry write access, but I got the below error:
Exception raised during physical system publication. Code : ''
    Details:
10150 Invalid Response code (401). Server
    <http://myhost.domainxyz.com: 50100/uddi/api/publish/> returned
    message <Unauthorized>.
Spent a lot of time debugging and couldn't resolve it..Please help..

    Thanks, Raja.
I've already assigned both roles (SERVICE_REGISTRY_READ_WRITE and UDDI_ADMIN) to an admin user ID on UME (PI 7.1). When I try to publish a service (Tx: WSPUBLISH) from ECC, immediately, I get a prompt to enter an id and password for the service "/ESRegistryWS/BasicAuthConfig" like I mentioned in the first post. I'm entering the ID I've configured on UME with those two roles assigned, but I get this error.
10150 Invalid Response code (401). Server
    <http://myhost.domainxyz.com: 50100/uddi/api/publish/> returned
    message <Unauthorized>.
Seems 100% an authorization error..but don't know what else to look for.
Thanks for looking into this and any other thoughts, you might have.

  • Error in testing web services

    Hi,
I have created a web service using XI( by exposing an outbound interface. When seeing the target url in web browser, I'm getting the following text --->
    <b>Servlet com.sap.aii.af.mp.soap.web.MessageServlet (Version $Id: //tc/xi/NW04S_06_REL/src/_adapters/_soap/java/com/sap/aii/af/mp/soap/web/MessageServlet.java#3 $) bound to /MessageServlet

    ModuleProcessorClass not instantiated
    ModuleProcessorLocal is Instance of com.sap.aii.af.mp.processor.ModuleProcessorLocalLocalObjectImpl0
    ModuleProcessorRemote not instantiated</b>
And when I'm trying to test this service through XML SPY.
    I'm getting the following error--->
<b>HTTP: could not POST file /XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?%20channel=FileSenderService:SOAPAdapter on the server 192.168.100.5(500)</b>
    <b>Error ion sending SOAPdata</b>
    Can somebody help me out?
    Regards,
    Piyush

    Hi Bhavesh,
Is there any other way to check out the error or the cause for tghis problem?
As with the eror, I'm getting the following thing--
<i>HTTP: could not POST file /XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?%20channel=FileSenderService:SOAPAdapter on the server 192.168.100.5<b>(500)</b>
    Error ion sending SOAPdata</i>
So what this 500 means? can we get some hint from that?
And whwn I'm able to defineweb service and view the web service in web browser with the same user, I don't think that there will be a problem related to authorization?
What is you suggestion for this?
