Auto forwarding Mail

When an email is received from a specific, Windoze using, organisation I use Rules to auto-foward it to a number of other recipients.
However, the message changes formats during this process and what was originally a viewable message becomes an .html attachment:
Begin forwarded message:
From: @.police.uk
Date: 18 January 2007 10:37:21 GMT
Subject: HOME WATCH MESSAGE
(then with) mime-attachment.html
the original email looks like

CRIME RING MESSAGE FOR WATCH SCHEME CO-ORDINATORS IN *
Please pass on to your scheme members, where appropriate
There has been a bogus official burglary on the afternoon of Wednesday 17 January, the victim being an 86 year old female. The offender gained entry to secure communal area in sheltered housing at *, and knocks on door of victim, posing as a Waterboard official and saying he was checking water pressure in the area. There was also a similar attempted bogus crime at the same address. Please remind your members that * never make unscheduled visits to check water for any reason, visits to households are always by appointment. Any without an appointment should be refused entry. To check authenticity of doorstep callers, please note following numbers:

End of message, thank you.
Where I have put XXXX is a logo but it didn't copy/paste from the email.
So, what am I doing wrong? how can I get the message auto-forwarded in all its full glory?
Thanks.

I’d try reducing as much as possible the alterations that Mail makes to the original message when forwarding it.
One thing to try would be turning OFF Preferences > Composing > Increase quote level.
Another would be using Redirect instead of Forward. Beware, however, that doing that may cause the rule to stop working for no apparent reason. Take a look at the following thread for a recent discussion of this issue:

  • Unable to auto forward mail with encryption

    Hi,
I'm currently testing mail exchange with encryption. I have setup two accounts with a comodo class 1 free email certificate. In Outlook 2013, the checkbox for "encrypt contents and attachments for outgoing messages" is ticked and I am able
to send encrypted mails from outlook 2013 between these 2 accounts fine. Now, I have setup a rule on one account to auto forward  mails to the other account based on subject and sender. Outlook is open and active the entire time during my test,
but the mails get send UNENCRYPTED. Whenever I trigger the rule by "run rules now", the mails will be send with Encryption.
Anyone know why this is happening and whether there is a way of getting this to work?
    Regards and thanks in advance,
    Roger

    Hi Roger,
Are the messages that got forwared by the auto forward rule previously encrypted?
Maybe you can try below approach and see if it works. Create below registry key in Registry Editor, Outlook will automatically encrypt a message that you are forwarding which was originally encrypted:
    Path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook\Security
    DWORD Value: NoCheckOnSessionSecurity
    Value data: 1

  • Auto forwarding option for a substitute

    Hi ,
Can somebody help me the workflow automatic forwarding option works with substitutes.
USER A is a substitute for for USER B and both users are setup for automatic forwarding
      to external outlook e-mail address.
When a workitem sent to USER B , it showed up in USER A inbox.
But the external e-mail sent to only main user ( USER B ) , but not the substitution.
Anybody has a clue about auto forwarding works with substitute ?
    Thanks in Advance.

    Thanks for your answers...
Outlook/ Substitute setup is working fine ..
both main user and substitute are maintained with external e-mail address and autoforwarding option.
Only main user is receiving e-mail. Substitute is receiving the work item in his inbox..but not outlook mail..
If Is end a work item directly to substitute , he gets the outlook e-mail.

  • SO36 Auto forwarding Address

    Hi Experts,
Is there any way or report or FM available to read SO36 Autoforwarding address of all the SAP Users ?
If it is not maintained properly then workflow notification mails are not going to external email ids.
If possible how can we mass maintain the SO36 auto forwarding address for all SAP users ?
         Thanks & Regards.
         Naimish.

    Dear Anji,
       Thanks for your reply.
The functions you have specified gives me the address number of that user.
I want to read email id in forwarding address that is maintained in SO36 for all SAP Users.
i.e. if my sap User id is NAIMISH , I want to read [email protected] from SO36.

  • Exchange 2013 Delivery Reports - Why does it not show forwarded mail?

We just migrated from 2010 to 2013 and all seems to be working well... We started using EOP at the same time with only a few hiccups.  Our Get-MessageTrackingLog command shows all of our email that was delivered or failed, etc... but when I try to run
"Mail Flow -> Delivery reports", it forces me to select a mailbox and I leave the other fields empty - and it only shows emails that come directly to me.  The problem is, I have half a dozen email accounts that are set to forward their email
to my exchange account.  None of those emails show up with the delivery reports method - but they DO show up via the powershell get-messagetrackinglog command...
With EOP I can see all the emails if I use "Mail Flow -> Message Trace"... why does it work with EOP, but on our local box - it's nerfed to just emails who specify my direct exchange address?

    Hi,
I have tested to use Delivery Reports to search my manually forward messages in my Exchange 2013 CU1 environment. And the forward messages can be searched and listed in the Search results.
Please make sure the users who forwarded emails to you are in your organization and they are sending
messages by using the Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Web App email clients. Because Delivery Reports doesn’t track messages send from POP or IMAP email clients. For more information about Delivery Reports, please refer to:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj150554(v=exchg.150).aspx
Additionally, I also tested auto-forward scenario:
User1 is configured to auto-forward messages to User2 in Exchange side(for details, please click
here), when User3 sends a message to User1, the message is forwarded to User2 automatically. If so, when we use Delivery Report to search this forward message for User2, we
need to use Search for messages received from User3 instead of User1 to get this forwarded message.
    Thanks,
    Winnie Liang

  • HT2480 How do I forward mail from my yahoo account to my gmail account?

I want to push my yahoo mail to my gmail inbox automatically.

You can set your g-mail up to pull from your yahoo. I'm not sure if you can set an auto forward via yahoo, but any of this is things you'll need to do via computer or safari, it won't work via the mail app.

  • How to do auto-forwarding to gmail

I would like to auto-forward my firefox mail to my gmail account.

Hmmm, Firefox mail. What is the domain part of your Firefox mail email address? That should indicate which ISP is operating the mail server and enable people to help with settings.

  • Prevent Internal Auto forwarding with Exchange 2010

I have a client that wants me to block one part of the company from using Outlook to Automatically Forward to a seperate part.  They are allowed to forward mails manually but not in an uncontrolled automatic maner.
I'm familiar with controlling Auto Forward to the Internet but am struggling to see how I could meet their requirements.  Any suggestions welcomed.
    Thanks
    Dave

    Hi Dave,
when you want to prevent Internal Auto forwarding in Exchange 2010, you can use transport rule to achieve the goal:
This is I created rule, when message type is “Auto-forward” will send message (#550 5.7.123 cannot auto-forward) to the user (who has sat auto-forward)
    Apply rule to messages
If the message type is ‘Auto-forward’
(if the message type is Message Type)
Send ‘cannot auto-forward’ to sender with ‘5.7.123’
(send rejection message to sender with enhanced status code)

  • IMS 5.2 Auto forwarding

    Hi,
We are an ISP,usinng IMS 5.2 patch 1.We are using the Auto-forwarding option for some Users.Whats happening is our domain is abc.com
If external mails(yahoo or rediff) are sent to particular uid say [email protected], forwarding works for that ID within abc.com
rediff/yahoo account ------->[email protected] ----->forwards mail to [email protected]
If the forwarded address is [email protected] or [email protected] and if any mail is sent to that forwarded address from yahoo/Rediff, mail is not getting delivered.
Kindly throw some light on this
    Thanks & Regards.

On the info-ims list there was a discussion about this something like this which is right up your alley.
Use a special feature for "designating an alternate processing channel". It does not use rewrite rules, it gets activated via the CONVERSIONS mapping table in your msg-instance/imta/config/mappings file. The table entry looks like:
    [br]
    CONVERSIONS
    [P]
    [nbsp;]in-chan=custom;out-chan=*;Convert[nbsp;][nbsp;][&nbsp]No
    [nbsp;]in-chan=*;out-chan=bar;Convert[nbsp;][nbsp;][&nbsp]YES,Channel=custom
    [p]

  • TS3276 On received mail, I delete sender's name, address, etc. then forward it.  The forwarded mail has a duplicate of the original mail, show original sender's name, etc.  How to prevent the duplicate from being sent?

How to prevent duplicate of orginal mail (with original sender's name, address) being "attached" when forwarded?

Maybe I am mis-understanding what you are seeing.
When I forward a message, the receiver will see the original mail (unless I edit it, such as removing any previous sender's information) and the length will be the same as the message was before forwarding except for the added line "Begin forwarded message" (again, unless I edit bits out), and there will be no attached copy of the original message.
So when you say in your reply above "The orginal email with the sender's name and address was also sent with my forwarded email." do you mean:
    a) that it is still visible at the head of the text of the message (which I was saying does not happen for me because "after hitting delete, the previous sender's information disappears." [and since] "it has disappeared, it cannot be in your forwarded mail." Disappeared means it is not there.
    b) another copy of the original message is attached to the forwarded email at the end, either as an included file or as repeated text.
    c) some other situation.
Sorry about the previous mis-spellings! I hope that we can get to the bottom of this.

  • About notification and auto forward

    Hi all,
    i'm new on nw-bpm
    1. (send a message to let the requester know if the task has finished successfully in the end)
Could BPM use u201CNotification" tab in UWL?
if yes, which element should i choose in process composer of NWDS?
or i have to do some coding to send one "Notification"?
    2. Could i set auto forward to make my SMTP mailbox receive the Notification at the same time?
    Thanks and Best regards,
    Fisher

    Hi Fisher,
    1. BPM doesn't support UWL Notifications so far. What you could do is implementing a Web Service which creates UWL Notifications via UWL API ([Link|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/802bfda2-8a85-2b10-9290-d67da32d0c01?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true]).
    2. You could use static notifications to send eMails to potential owners of a task [Link|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/70cd5f0c-74ab-2c10-f79e-98d7869db972?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true]

  • Query regarding auto e-mail notification for ccms

    Hi,
I want to configure auto e-mail notifications for ccms alerts.
I have configured ccms monitoring for our landscape on the solution manager.I went through the SAP documentation and it mentions that we have to do the SCOT settings and CCMS_OnAlert_Email_V2 method settings in client 000.But we already have  the SCOT config done in 100.
My question is can i complete the rest of the config in 100 or i have to do everything in client 000 only.
    Thanks,
    Shashank

No Shashank. I dont think this is required. You need not have to redo everything in 000 client.
You only have to create the user in 000 client.
Might be you have to create an RFC connection between your 000 client and the 100 client. I will confirm this to you tomorrow or so. Make sure the user has required authorizations in 000 client.
    best regds,
    Alagammai.

  • Quotes and Graphics in Forwarded mail Received as Attachments

When I forward mail, often inline graphics like company logos show up as attachments and are not displayed where they show up on my computer and and often, but not always, several levels of quoted messages show up on the recipients PCs as either text or html file attachments and are also not displayed as quoted text. When the message is forwarded back to me it looks fine on my Macbook Pro. This seems to be a fairly recent problem. It also seems to be kind of hit and miss. At my company everybody complains. I've called up others who were copied the same message and it displayed OK for them. What can I do?
Snow Leopard 10.6.7, Mac Mail 4.5. Messages mostly sent/received via Microsoft Exchange Server.

With recipients using Outlook or Outlook Express, this is common behavior with messages heavily laden with HTML or RTF when forwarded. Probably will work if before sending you click on Format in the menubar and choose Make Plain Text. Assumes the HTML/RTF not critical, of course.
