Dear,
Create the Batch class in CL02 and go to characteristic tab press f4 give input as lobm*
then you will get standard sap characterizes use it as per your requirement.
Assign it to material master in classification vie and go ahead.
Sort rule for same in CU70 and search procedure in COB1.

Dear All,
We are using automatic batch determination is based on FIFO (first Mfg first out) for components..After releasing the order.
I have maintained Batch Class in all the materials which are used as a all material special Characteristic LOBM_HSDAT as a one of the class characteristic. as we want batch determination on GR date for few material and for few material LOBM_VFDAT for self life material and its class.
Then create Sort Rule CU70 mainatained the same LOBM_HSDAT in it. and one with LOBM_VFDAT.
Then create Batch serch Strategy (USE T.Code COB1- search strategy CO01the respective sort rule and selection critoria.for All ROH HALB and Finish material.
In Material Master of all component in MRP 2 view select value 3 (Automatic Batch Determination) for BATCH ENTRY. All ROH HALB and Finish material
After mainting above all prerequisite I should able to do the Automatic Batch Determination as per my selection Rule.
But Automatic Batch Determination in Production order after release is not working.
Please need your help.

Dear,
Define the batch determination search strategy for process order in COB1 with sort rule in CU70.
On the initial screen of your application choose Logistics>centrel function>batch management>Batch determination>For process order -->Batch search strategy --> Create.
On the initial screen of your application choose Batch search strategy -->Create.
Choose the strategy type, say choose co02
Choose the key combination-
Enter the required dat-->say plant ,production order type, product,valid from and component for which you want to have this
Choose Selection criteria push button. Choose a sort sequence.
If no values have been entered, enter the selection class and the characteristic values.
Go back to the screen on which you create a batch search strategy.
Choose Sort if required(it should be defined earlier(in CU70- here you are giving the charateristic name on which you want to sort)
For component you need to use MBC1 with search stratgey as ME01 for your plant movement type and material and assign the sort rule and search procedure here.
Check also in COR4, for the combination of plant and order type...you have selected search procedure-CO0001
Batch management> Batch serach procedure allocation and check activation
T.Code to be looked specifically OMCG , CORC

Output message of PO in ECC not processed automatically after order released in GTS

Dear Experts
PO created in cobalt was blocked in GTS due to legal control. output message of PO was blocked, after the PO was manually released by the user next day, AU open the PO and saved it. output message got processed.
Can you please let me know, why system is not processing the output automatically after the PO is released in GTS.
Is this the standard process?

Hi Kiran,
This is called follow on function in GTS.
When document is released, you could trigger background job regularly to process these document.
Open the area menu for SAP GRC Global Trade Services in your feeder system (with transaction code/SAPSLL/MENU_LEGALR3) and choose Recovery Follow-On Functions in Feeder System .
Choose one of the following entries to configure the follow-on functions for the selected application level: Materials Management Trigger Follow-On Functions for Purchasing Documents

Subcontracting after order release

we have two plant P001 and P002， P001 send finished goods A to plant P002，in plant P002， A is not valuated。 in plant P002，finished product B is produced and using A and other raw materials。
we now create production order for material B in P002， we want subcontracting PO in P001 to be generated automatically after
we release production order in plant P001， how to do this？
in plant P002， do we need to create costing BOM for material B？ in production order master data， we can see production BOM for material B， when is costing BOM being used in material B？thanks

In my understanding this is not possible as this does not seems like a sub-contracting or stock transfer from alternative plant or
production in alternative plant.come back with your further queries.

Batch determination during process order release

Dear Experts,
I am facing a problem, and not able to figure out the reason. There is material having base unit as 'EA' and Issue unit as 'NO' and conversion is 10 NO= 1 EA. The same material is maintained in the BOM as 1 NO. At the time of creation of process order, system is copying the same quantity in the process order (1NO). When I release the process order, the batch determination is happening. Now the issue comes, instead of doing batch determination of 1 NO, system is doing batch determination for 1 EA (which is equivalent to 10 NO.!). Can anyone help me to find out the reason for same.

Dear Mohit,
If you want to go for external batch numbering during order release then
- Set no automatic Batch creation in order in T.Code CORY.
This setting only restrict the automatic Batch Creation in order only.But to fulfill second your requirement of restricting order release or save without assigning external batch no you have to either go for,
- User exit.Below are the user exits which are trigger at the time of order saving
PPCO0006 to predefine entries for order header fields when
an order
PPCO0001 to provide information at the time of saving (for
production orders and process orders)
PPCO0007 to check or change header data when saving
or
- Create screen variant using T.code SHD0 and make Batch Field compulsory.

Trigger automatic batch determination at process order confirmation

Hello, colleagues.
I have a requirement for batch determination triggered automatically for all components when I backflush them in CORK/COR6N transaction.
Batch determination facility has already been set up both for process order and for IM MvT 261. Everything works perfectly.
There is only one issue: I have to select components and click "Batch determination" button manually for each partial confirmation.
I want batch determination triggered automatically when I save confirmation.
Batch determination at the moment of order release is not an option for the current business enviroment.
I've checked all relevant threads already, but found no solution.
The solution seem to be found in this thread but no details provided:

Any help will be highly appreciated.

If we maintain the batch entry at MRP2 for the process order component as 3 - automatic batch determination upon order release ,if automatic batch determination is not happening for the order components and system is stopping to enter the batch for the component at order release , what else settings do we need to check ?

Hi MK,
You need to go thru these configurations/setup:
1- CORC: Search Procedure is enter for Order type and Plant combination (PP-PI)
2- Assign the Search Procedure in transaction COR4 or OPL8 (COR4 for PPPI ot OPL8 for PP)
3- Batch Determination condition is maintained in COB1: this will generate the automatic determination of the batches.
4- Take a look of the field Batch Entry in MM02 (MRP2). This was already done by you.
Of course all your batches need to have the corresponding classification and you should assign correctly the search procedure in COB1.
Try with the previous steps and come back if you still don't get the automatic batch determination.

Automatic batch management for Production order receipt

Hello ,
I have a requirement to setup & activate Batch Management only for Production order Good Receipt . I am looking out for what all configuration / data setup will be required to complete this .
To start with I have following questions .
1. Whether such activation is possible only for Production order Good receipt - 101 mov.type
2. IF yes , is Batch management activation status be at material or plant level .
3. As I need automatic assignment , should I be selecting Internal batch management .
4. What should be selected for valuation for Goods movement in Inventory management.
5. Is it necessary to have batch determination by maintaining Condition tables / Access sequence
6. What would be standard Class / characteristics to be maintained for automatic determination.
Also I will have to work with the running system where Material are already active and have stock in system . What precautions will I have take if I have to activate the Batch Management in a running system.

With reference to your point , need further clarifications
1. If batch management is selected to material , this means that it will be active for all movement types for Inventory and cannot be restricted to 101 mov.type .
I see that in config node

Can I not restrict batch creation only for 101 movement , but again here I don't have options to select only for Good receipt for order - Tran/Ev type - WF .

Automatic Batch determination in Sales Order

Dear Experts,
I have the following problem : When inserting a material in a sales order, batch is automatically determined correctly. (I have customized batch determination through plant). Before saving the order, if I delete the plant and entered a new one, by pressing enter, the batch is not being automatically determined, although it should. I have to press item batch determination button , in order to determine it again.

Hi Dina,
I guess that either this is the way it works, or there's an SAP note to fix it.
I'd suggest that you first look for a note in the service marketplace, and if you don't find one, create a ticket in OSS.

Automatic Batch creation at purchase order create stage

Hi
Is it possible to automatically create a batch when a purchase req converts to a purchase order?
There is a batch create button in the material tab of the purchase order so I can manually create a batch at purchase order create (purchase req convert), is it possible to automate this by material? So a specific material when the PR converts will have the batch created automatically?
If so how?

FEFO logic in batch determination for process order release

Batch determination for a particular material in a process order was following FIFO logic . We needed to change it to FEFO hence we made the necessory changes in COB1 how ever the process order relase is still taking the batch whihs is not the first expiry batch
Kindly help in batch determination with FEFO for process order release.

If Batch Management is active for the materials then use following process;
First create characteristic in CT04 for Batch Creation Date, under "Addnl data", enter Table Name MCH1 or MCHA (As per Batch Class 022 or 023) and Field ERSDA and save it.
Assign this characteristics in CL02 in your Batch Class.
CU70 - Create a Sort Rule and specify the Characteristic of Batch Creation Date and activate "Ascending" indicator.
Now assign the Sort Rule in MBC1 and keep Selection criteria as "O" for the Strategy type.
Now do batch determination in MIGO.

Hi, how to know for particular process order, whether we should do manual batch determination or automatci batch determination for components without viewing the material master?

Do not allow change of Reference Object after Order release

Dear All,
The requirement is that we should lock(not able to change) the Reference Object after the Maintenance Order is released. Can we acheive this in standard way or do we need to go for development.
If going for development what should be the basic logic.

You are accomplishing the same utilizing the built in enhancement framework([Implicit enhancements|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/70/63da4023a28631e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm]), WITHOUT making a MODIFICATION to the system. This technology / functionality is available from ECC 6.0 . You would need to be very careful in using the implicit enhancement functionality so that you don't break the flow. Your requirement seems to be a simple one which could be accomplished by tweaking the screen attributes of the field under certain conditions, for this specific screen in the program. You may also have to make the Priority field a display only, so that it doesn't trigger a change through it via the user exit or through standard.

Automatic batch pick up

Hi gurus,
I have a finished product which is batch activated in REM scenario. No components of it are batch active. While backflushing using MFBF the system is giving the error "please enter a batch". To avoid this i have activated internal number assignment, put the batch search strategy in REM profile etc...
But i dont know why it is still not picking up. Can anyone briefly explain the procedure/settings so that i can correct if i have made any mistake.
To get this requirement done i have made the settngs in inventory mangement as it is REM.

Batch serach procedure assigned for Rem profile is to determine the Batch for Components not for Finished material.
As i know u have to select the Correct Batch manually at Mfbf Screen.
