Automatic closing of reservation after 3 days

Hi all,
The user creates reservation daily but against that reservation partial material is issued. Partial material which is not issued, is treated as open reservation, which in turn distrubs MRP run.
We want that system should retain only last 03 days reservation active & rest all should be closed automatically.
I tried but not working, please advice....

You can maintain Retention period in OMBN
Retention period, in days, for reservation items
Indicates the time in days during which a reservation item resides in
the system before being deleted by the reservation management program.

BPEL automatically releases claimed tasks after three days

We have a BPEL process deployed on a BPEL Process Manager v 10.1.3.3. This process uses Human Tasks to assign tasks to groups of users.
Users have to claim a task and update the outcome of it.
We noticed that when a task remained claimed for more than 3 days, bpel automatically released it (using bpeladmin-the owner of the task as the actor).
We haven't set any expiration or escalation policies, so my question is:
- is this behaviour a feature of BPEL? is there a way to control it, for example to turn it off?

Well, it is a feature of the product and you can control it's behavior by altering parameters in the file wf_config.xml:

My tasks have normal priority and so they will be auto-released after 3 days or after passing 50% of the expiration time.

What is the best way to automatically delete user profiles after x days of inactivity (school lab environment)?

I work at a school where we have multiple Mac Carts that have 30 MacBooks per cart. We image the macs every summer to delete the older user profiles but we are looking for way to possible have this done automatically through out the year to help with HDD space. What is the best way to delete user profiles after...say 180 days.... of inactivity automatically? I am open to login hooks, bash scripts, etc. Anything to get the job done. Thanks for any help or advice.

It appears that the script posted will do as advertised though I would test it out on your systems and under your conditions to see if it does do what you need.

Message was edited by: Frank Caggiano - That script looks for users over 21 days. To look for ones over 180 days change the 21 to 180 in the find command.

Safari 6: Remove History Items After One Day does nothing?

I don't like getting autocompletes from a million past sites, so I clear my history every so often. I prefer to do it manually, but Safari 6 deletes all the favicons--not just of the history but of your bookmarks too! Permanently. So I thought I'd try automatic history clearing instead: After One Day.
But three days later, the History menu still shows the full histories for the past 3 days.
Yet another bug I guess? Is this universal behavior?
I'm on Lion at the moment.

Might be corrupted Safari preference files... try this.
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
from the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.
Quit Safari.
Go to Home/Library/Caches/Safari and delete all the sub-folders within that one.
Go to Home/Library/Safari and delete any of these files you have there:
• Downloads.plist
• History.plist
• LastSession.plist
 Repair disk permissions...  
Quit any open applications/programs. Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.  Restart Safari

Deleted items would not be purged automatically after 30 days

On my Exchange 2013 ECP, I went to Servers->Databases, then double click to open one of the databases listed, I then clicked Limits, under "Keep
deleted items for (days):", I set it to 30 days. But the deleted items in Outlook or OWA did not get purged automatically even it's over 30 days.
Is there anything I missed? Thanks much in advance!

I am giving you this procedure without details but I suggest you read the white paper. Message Retention Management is a topic that impacts greatly on the business.
Retention policies are an enterprise license feature.
In the EAC, under compliance management -> retention tags:
1 - Create a retention tag that delete Trash message after 30 days (similar to "30 Days Delete" but applies to Default Folder Trash);
2 - Create a retention tag that delete Inbox message after 2 years;
In the EAC, under compliance management -> retention policies:
3 - Create a new Retention Polcy including the two Tags just created;
Apply the newly created retention policy to the Mailbox (recipients -> mailboxes -> mailbox properties -> Mailbox Features -> retention Policy).

You can reorganize the completed alerts using the analysis method for AlertsInDB. The method deletes older alerts that match your specifications and reduced the space occupied in the database. To do this, proceed as follows:
   1. Choose CCMS ® Control/Monitoring ® Alert Monitor, or call transaction RZ20.
   2. Expand the SAP CCMS Technical Expert Monitors monitor set, place the cursor on the CCMS Selfmonitoring monitor, and choose Start Monitor.
   3. Expand the alert monitoring tree. You will find the monitoring object for which you are looking under CCMS_Selfmonitoring ® Runtime ® AlertsInDB. Select the object and choose Start Analysis Method.
   4. Specify the date and time from which completed alerts are to be deleted.

HTC rhyme automatically deletes emails in my inbox after 3 days...

When I get emails in my inboxes and read them and don't delete them, I intend to keep them until I want to delete them. However, all emails automatically get deleted after 3 days. I've looked through all the settings and I can't figure out how to fix it so that only I can delete them-they can't be automatically deleted. Does someone know how to fix this?? Thanks in advance!

We need more information from you on what you are using. What type of email account (Outlook, GMail, Yahoo, etc.) is it that you have questions about? Which email app are you using to check your email? It doesn't sound like you are using an app from the Play Store, so I will answer assuming that you are using stock apps (ones that came on the phone out of the box). I don't have the Rhyme, but I have other HTC phones.
For an Exchange account, go into the email app>menu>settings>sync, send & receive>sync settings>download past email. This defaults to 3 days. You can change it to time periods varying from 1-30 days and "All", which is what it sounds like you would prefer.
For GMail, go into the GMail app>menu>settings>select your email address>data usage>days of mail to sync and choose the number of days that you want to sync.
The settings will depend on your answers to the questions in my first paragraph. Let us know if you have more questions or are using a different type of email on your phone.

   I want to know if we have made a 57F4 Challan   and partial material we have received from the vendor and remaining material we have not recd till the specified period of 180 days then how to make the GR after 180 Days or how to close the challan
second scenarion if we have send material to vendor with 57F4 channlan and we have not receievd material with in 180 Dya then how to close the challan.

and as u have steps for making GR after 180 Days with J1IF this is std. procedure avalibale for this   is there any effect of this on other FI entry etc.

Photos are not deleted from "recently deleted" folder after 30 days

Hello-
I tried to sync my iPhone 6 today, and iTunes read that there were 2500 pictures stored on my device (nearly double what I actually have). I did some searching online and I found that if I change the date of my phone back 1 month (to Feb. 15), all of the photos that were supposed to have been deleted from the "recently deleted" photos folder had reappeared. I manually went back through and deleted the photos that had reappeared in my recently deleted folder from every month since I got my phone (Oct. '14), and then iTunes said I was back down to 1400 pictures.
Why hadn't the pictures deleted after 30 days like they were supposed to? How can I rectify this?

I realized that I didn't select the option 'enable adaptive junk mail controls for this account', but, even selecting it, the junk mails are not automatically cleaned. I tried restarting Thunderbird, restarting the computer, and even manually changing the date and restarting Thunderbird, but nothing worked.
I checked the entries in the advanced configuration, and they are all correct.
My aim, as it was with the other problem I posted, is just to help to improve the development of Thunderbird by pointing the bugs. But they are actually really minor issues and not a real problem for me. So don't worry if the problem is not finally solved.

How stop the automatic statistics collection job after the maintenance wind

we are for a solution to stop the automatic statistics collection job after the maintenance window finished.
we disable all jobs except the automatic statistics collection, because this is the only one we want to run. Then we define specific values for the interval and duration parameters of the maintenance window to customize this task.
But for their systems it is very important that this job/task will immediately stop when the window is closed!!!
So, how could we ensure this behavior.
For Oracle 10g it is easy because the statistic job always exists and it is possible to set its duration and create an addtional event based job which kills all jobs that are running over duration.
In Oracle 11g the statistic job is created by the system during the maintenance window is open.
We are not able to modify parameters of this system job. After the maintenance window closed the job is already running - only with another resource priority - but it is running.
Please help me in this scenario

?So basically you are saying is if none of the tables are changed then GATHER_STATS_JOB will not run, but i see tables are updated still the job is not running. I did >query dba_scheduler_jobs and the state of the job is true and scheduled. Please see my previous post on the output

So basically you are saying is if none of the tables are changed then GATHER_STATS_JOB will not run,GATHER_STATS_JOB will run and if there are any table in which there's a 10 percent change in data, it will gather statistics on that table. If no table data have changes less than 10 percent, it will not gather statistics.

User account is removed from a Active directory security group (server 2008 R2) after a day

Hello !
i add many times a user in a AD security group, but the user is removed automatically after a day. What i don't understand is that other users have been added to the same group but they are still in the group (there is no problem with their accounts).
To add this user that is always removed after a day (or a period), i use the member of tab in the account properties.
Right click on the user account -> properties-> member of -> add -> groupName->ok

Automatic closing of excel export of uwlCollaboration tasklist.

I use the iView uwlCollaboration in one of my Room Template, and I face a problem when I use the "Export to excel" button.
When I click on this button, I face 3 possibilities :
- Open the xls file.
- Save the xls file.
- Cancel the action.
When I click on open the file, a new window, containing the xls file, is opened. And right after that, this new window is automatically closed. And I'mnot able to consult the file.
So I'm forced to save the xls file before consulting it.
I work on EP 7.0 SP10.
Any idea of what's happening ?

However, that is not a goal of mine. After making changes to a file or adding keywords, I want Lightroom to automatically update the actual files (in my case jpegs) so that I do not need to export them to be used elsewhere such as in a slideshows etc.
Lightroom cannot do this automatically.
Furthermore, despite the fact that your goal is to update the JPGs immediately, this is not a good idea in any case. You don't really want to overwrite your originals with edited versions of them. This is a really poor practice.
I do not want to have to export these files.
Then you absolutely can't get there using Lightroom. I'd be surprised if there really was any software that will do this automatically for you, perhaps you could define an action in CS6 to do this (don't know, I never tried).

Workitem showed up in UWL after 2 days of creation

Hi friends,
I got an issue reg. workitems. A workitem is showed up in users UWL after 2 days of its creation. The workflow will send workitems for the approval to multiple usres when status is changed. Now teh issue is, teh status has been changed on a particular day, but teh user got the workitem to his UWL after 2 days of status change.The workflow is working fine and we didnt find such issue till now.
Could any one tell me what might be the possible reasons and ways to check for teh delay. ( We have checked with the users SBWP- Business workplace and there is only one entry in that. so this is surely not the reason for delay ).

The workitem in R3 will not appear in UWL automatically, UWL configuration has to be done for bring the new workitem from the R3 to UWL, the refresh duration in the UWL will be given 2 days in your case.
Sol. Change it to 5 Seconds, then this problem will be solved.
