Automatic IDOC Transfer to Subsystem if Inspection lot is created

Hi there,
i am searching for a solution how to automaticaly create an IDOC when an inspection lot is been created on goods reception. This IDOC is been sent to a CAQ Subsystem.
In the external Subsystem the testing of the goods will be done and the result will be sent back to SAP.
Can this be done with simple customizing?

Do you have any inspection type setup for material in plant B? If yes then you would be not able to transfer stock in QI without creating an inspection lot. If inspection type is active in material master of plant B(destination) then system would through you error message saying - "transfer stock in QM only". The reason is you would not have an option to move stock from QI using 321 (QI to UNR) in plant B if QM is active. 321 managed by an insp lot.
If inspection type is not setup in material master at plant B then you would be able to post stock in QI without creating an inspection lot. Then move stock from QI to UNR using 321 (MB1B).

We have two - three inspection type . i.e need to be assigned in the material master .
which setting i need to adopt in the selection and the prefered inspection type ?
if we have multiple inspection plan for a single material , is it possible to create inspection lot automatically ?

If you have maintained inspection type of different origin in the material master you need tick any of the preferred indicators. for 01, 08 inspection lot is created automaticaly. if the inspection type are of same origin like , 01, 0101, 0102 etc the prefered indicator is used

I am having the below scenario.
We have QM active in our plant. In the material master records we assign two inspection types '01' - Goods receipt insp. for purchase order & '08'- Stock transfer inspection. I didn't make any inspection plan (QP01).
We make a Purchase order ( say Qty=10)with excisable tax code. While doing GR (MIGO) for the purchase order, we capture and post Excise Invoice. Later, Usage Decision is done using QA11(7 qty to unrestricted stock type & 3 Qty to Blocked Stock). Later, i want to send the blocked stock to the vendor, I am transferrring the material from Blocked stock to QI stock type using MT349. But, system is showing the below warning message : 'Preparation for the quality inspection could not be comleted. -Message no. QA187'.
Please let me know how we can change the status of the inspection lot from 'Created' to 'Released' so that I can proceed further making the Return delivery to vendor using T.Code: MIGO.

Check the Usage of the Task list.
Check the date of creation of task list must be prior to creation of lot.
Go to QA02
Inspection specification > Assign task list by click on Task/ specification
Go to Sample, do the SAmple calculation
Save
Check whether lot status is Rel

Inspection lot not created on GR for production order

I want to create an inspection lot upon receipt from production. Task list is set up. Inspection type 04 is assigned in material master. But when I do the goods receipt for a production order, inspection lot is not created. In the quantity tab of material document, I see that the staus GR doc is 7(Inspection lot is created at inbound delivery). I don't know where it is coming from.
Please help.

I'm not sure what you mean by creating lot after receiving.
When you do a GR from production the proper inspection type is the 04 inspection type. Not 05. This is pretty standard SAP functionality.
Check the material movements for 101 (I assume you're using a 101 GR material movement), and make sure in config no one has deactivated QM for the material movement.
Then, make sure you start with a freash production order. Don't copy from a previous one.

Duplicate Inspection lots being created

Hi all,
I have a problem with duplicate Inspection Lots being created in PRD system after a MB_CREATE_GOODS_MOVEMENT and a MB_POST_GOODS_MOVEMENT are called (from handheld scanner transaction).
This is only happening very rarely and we can not replicate the issue in QA system.
Anybody have any ideas on why duplicates might be created?
My own idea is:
There is a COMMIT WORK AND WAIT line in the code after the MB_POST_GOODS_MOVEMENT call.
When I debug in QA, I can see that the QALS table (Inspection lots) is only updated after the COMMIT WORK line.
Could it be a timing issue in PRD? - if I add another COMMIT WORK after the MB_CREATE_GOODS_MOVEMENT,
would this have any effect?
As the issue is not happening in DV or QA, I can't test.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Just to update this, incase helpful to anyone else, what actually fixed this issue
was that I set two flags on the MB_CREATE_GOODS_ISSUE function module.
This is necessary if you are calling the FM multiple times.
What we were doing is calling it initially, looking at the returned table, kicking out any entries
that caused an error, and then calling the FM again with the updated (corrected) list.
The flag XALLR needs to be set to avoid duplicate inspection lots being created, and the
XALLP flag needs to be set to keep the sequence of Material Documents correct (with no
gaps in the sequence).

Inspection for HU: inspection lot not created upon packing

Hi All,
I want to inspect a material by Handling Unit, I have set "Inspection for HU" within the Inspection Setup of the material master. I created PO and inbound delivery, in the inbound delivery I did packing, but inspection lot is not created after packing. When I go on with MIGO, system throws error message "Change the inspection stock of material in QM only", according to this message, there should be an inspection lot already created, but I cannot find it in QA32.

There are two prerequisition:
1) Check configuration setting : SPRO --> Logistics - General --> Handling Unit Management --> Basics --> Technical Basics--> Materials Management--> Inventory Management --> Set QM Check and Delivery Type for Each Movement Type. the respective movement type is not deactivated for quality inspections. The indicator QM not active is not set.
2) In material master, Handling unit should be active for inspection type.

Recurring inspection lot status "created" changed automatically to "Release" without change history

Dear Experts,
I observed that for few materials recurring inspection lot (inspection lot origin 09) status from "CRTD CHCR SPRQ" to "REL CALC SPRQ PRSI" changed automatically without manual interruption.
I have thoroughly checked the change documents in status management, but the there is change history found.
can anyone help me understand the root cause of the issue?

Note : System status CRTD because there is no Insp.plan master data for particular material
Check & create Inspection plan for material & also check the Material master QM view Insp.set up tab.
Suppose if already created Insp.plan for material,then you need to assign Insp.plan manually in QA32 select the insp.lot line & click change Insp.lot icon in Header ,click spec.& save
Then system status change from CRTD to REL.

Stock Transfer to quality without Inspection lot creation

Hi,
I want to do stock transfer from unrestricted stock of Plant A to quality stock of Plant B. However I don't want inspection lot to be created.
Is this possible?
I am using Movement type 301 and Inspection Lot of type 08 is active in Material Master.
If I deactivate QM for movement type, can I post to quality without inspection lot creation.

2. Here they want to use Handling unit management(cartons) whenever stock transfer takes place from 1 store to the other. How can we trigger quality when this transfer takes place. What would be the settings required for this?

This depends upon the T code & process that you use for stock transfer.Generally its 08 inspection type that is used.

Inspection lot not created (QA32)

1.for the raw material Inspection lot is not created while posting . I have done settings in mat. mast.

You have maintained inspection type, number ranges etc etc perfectly, correct?
Then now check the same "stock type" (that you have checked in MIGO) in Purchase Order also. It is be check for line item details--> Delivery tab.
When the PO is get posted system checks the inspection type activation in the, if it is activated then it will set the "stock type" as Quality Inspection, at PO itself and then the same thing copied over to GR. So if the inspection type is maintained accurately then all the processed PO & GRs will react accordingly.
One more thing you need to check, as you are complaining "Lot is not getting triggered" then let me know have you maintained the Q - Info Record for this Plant-Material-Vendor Combination? Check it through trx QI03.

Inspection Lot not creating for 657 mvt type

Hello,
I am unable to create inspection lot for customer returns. Mvt type used by SD module for customer return is 657 ( to blocked stock). While sales to return order with this mvt type, no inspection lot is getting generated.
But when returns are done with 651 mvt type (Returns to QI), I am able to create inspection lots.
Can anyone tell me how to activate inspection for 657 mvt type as I want this stock to go directly to Blocked stock.

Quality inspection stock (movement type is 655)
Blocked stock (movement type 657)
If the given quantity is posted to blocked stock returns first, you can make a manual goods movement posting in the Inventory Management component to transfer the quantity to valuated stock.
Tcode vov6 - there will be schedule line category DN.
go to details of DN.In Business data,check which movement type is assigned here change it to 655 and try.
Also go to material master, select "Quality Management" view and execute. There click on "Insp.setup" and press "F5". Assign "06" under tbe tab "Inse.Type" and save.
Now if that material returns from any customer, the stock will be blocked for quallity clearance. Only quality people can give clearance for that material.

No inspection lot was created

Dear all,
While doing a transfer posting with mov type 309,(material to material transfer) the stock is posted into quality stock with out creating a inspection lot. now we are not able to do any transactions with that stock as it was restricted as quality stock.
physically the user has issued the stock but in system , in MMBE the stock is in QI .
we couldnot cancel the material document also as it is throwing error .
can any one suggest how tos olve the problem.
your suggestion is highly appreciated.

Diagnosis
You want to make a stock posting to/from the inspection stock. This is not allowed for material 2106800431 because the quality inspection control has been activated by QM.
The following cases can occur:
The inspection stock should be increased, although an inspection is not foreseen for the current goods movement
The inspection stock should be released, although you can only do this using the QM transactions.
System Response
You cannot carry out the stock posting.
Procedure
Check both the QM inspection setup data and the movement type for material 2106800431 in the quality management view of the material master.
Exception:
If you post a return delivery to a vendor with reference to a purchase order, or cancel a goods receipt, the stock indicator from the order is proposed.
Check and modify this proposal as required.
The stock may have been transferred already and is therefore no longer in inspection stock.
But actually there is no inspection lot created for that material for that batch. so we cannot realease the material from inspection stock. but in MMBE the stock is in QI stock.

Calibration process : inspection lot not created

Hello,
When creating a maintenance order (PM05) , i can not get the inspection lot created .
There has been some thread about this process , i believe i followed the instructions :
-equipment category is production ressource/tool
-master inspection characteristics created (released)
-sampling procedure created for PM
-equipment task list created with inspection point at header level , with control key including inspection characteristic , with master inspection characteristic , with sampling procedure
-configuration for inspection type and order type is done
then when creating the order manually (or via a maintenance plan) : the order is created and released but with no inspection lot assigned...
does anyone have an idea where the error might come from?

Plant Maintenance and Customer Service --> Maintenance and Service Processing --> Functions and Settings for Order Types --> Assign Inspection Types to Maintenance/Service Order Types
click on the symbol
in Change view " Assign Inspection Types to Maintenance/Service Order Types" :Overview screen assign inspection type against plant and order type combination. for PM 14 is inspection type.

Inspection lot not created

Inspection lot is not created after delivery even Billing no and Invoice no. has been generated. so we are not able to issue the Certificate of Analysis(COA).

hi,
please check the confirguration settings of QM.
if settings are there then an inspection lot has to get generated and it has to block PGI.
after checking that lot QM will release to GI and then we can do GI.
and
also plese check in MMR whether QM views are there or not.
if yes,
check the settings 6 and 10 are there or not inside QM views.

Inspection Lot not created during GR

Hi All,
I have an issue wherein the QM View is not activated during PO creation. This has caused the succeeding Goods Receipt to move the stock to Unrestricted eventhough I have already activated QM.
How can I rectify this problem that GR for this PO will go to QI and will create inspection lot.

Hi,
Please follow following steps,
I hope you have now activarted inspection type 01 for the material.
1. Go to PO with transcation ME22n,
2. For the matreial , go and change the stock type to Qulaity , instaed of unrestriced.
3. Save and come out.
Go and do GR .. Inspection lot will be generated.
