Avoid the COGI error cancellation

I noted just one brief update: I am using Access 2007, and my database has the suffix .accdb. That uses a slightly different driver than the one described in your (very careful) instructions; fortunately, it was also available in the drivers in the program odbcad32.exe in the System 32 folder, so it was available to me when I added the new database from within the SysWOW64 folder. This fix allows me to use LiveView with a ColdFusion site from within DreamWeaver. Thanks much for making this public!

How to avoid The "mandatory error" during the AutoSubmit ?

I have an af:table with 5 columns. All of them have an inputText mandatory in it. Theses inputText have the property "autosubmit=true".
An other component of the form has a partialTrigger on theses inputText.
When i populate one inputText and clic on the second one, a popup error appear :
"field2 is mandatory"
"field3 is mandatory"
"field4 is mandatory"
"field5 is mandatory"
How can i bypass this "mandatory's validation" during autosubmit?

Clement - one way would be to use "required=false" and "showRequired=true" on all of your af:inputText components and let the model layer handle the required field validations.

Change Qty to 0 to clear COGI errors

Hello everyone,
I've been giving a temp job as a sort of MRP Controller for a materials handling company in the UK and have been given the task to clear the COGI errors. I'm new to this part of SAP as I used to work as an operator so never used any logistic or sales modules. Basically I think I have worked out what a COGI is and in princible about how to clear them. The orders have finshed and it is trying to backflush the material stock levels. The problem I am encoutering is this materials were used in orders early last year. The product has been made and shipped off to the vendor. I can see the stock being removed from the system months later in a stock check. The original backflush never happened as a lot or Materials never had the corect storage location. Anyhow, Can I clear these COGI's and the relevenant OrdRes on the materials by changing the COGI qty to 0 and then processing them? When I check the component list for the production order they go through as finialised (FLS is ticked), the OrdRes is removed however will this cause problems I'm unware of? I need to know if doing this right otherwise I need to get people to add the stock back in to clear the backlog and I have many to do and the process is painful and I want to sort this ASAP as the system is raising purshase requitions for parts need nearly a year ago and been built and sent off site!

Hi,
To do this you have to do following steps,
1. In the COGI list go to Edit - > Replace -> Date.(CtrlShiftF10)
2. Change the date to current date. This is required because the old posting periods will not be open for postings.
3. Select the line & click on Change details (F5).
4. Change the quantity to 0 (Zero).
5. Post the document.

COGI error in relevance in production order goods movement

Hello,
Yesterday I have a COGI error with regards in reservation. "RE Quantity moved exceeded by 7,912 LB: 1000710 0111 0001 201200". But today someone done something on the production order, and the error yesterday in COGI are fixed. Am confused what happen or what they did to fixed this since yesterday the error still there but now it is gone.
when checking the Documented Goods Movement for material 1000710 in the production order here the details,

This is what it shows? could some one explain me with this data what was the reseason yesterday i did not fixed the COGI error while now it was fixed? and why in RESERVATION 1112345 it only shows qty 6000 not 14000 for this order?

well, as far as I can see, there is an unplanned 261 (without reservation no.). This one (doc. 4908430) has wihtdrawn additional 14000 for batch 201200. Therefore, the later 262 posting (doc. 4908437) with 14000 for that batch could be put into store without error.

Regarding the reservation: It shows qty 6000 because as first step 14000 were withdrawn, then additional 6000 and then 14000 were put back. So 6000 remain.

Cogi Errors due to Material Substitution

Hello,
In plant 0162 we have cogi errors that I can not explain. It is related to material substition and BOM changes.the COGI error comes from the component material 10085940 in order 100239889. this material 10085940 was set for material substitution for material 10007152 on September 7, 2008 effective when i refer to BOM but the production order was created this august.why do we have this COGI error? we have 10007152 in house and none of the 10085940 material please answer and explain why this happen?

Where could i see this percentage for this in BOM? i have noticed in the production order compenet overview of my material the two material was there already both backflushing indicator was check, discontinuation column was populated on both material = 1 (simple discontinuation - maintain in master record). could this be a factor? why does my production order pick both this two material in its BOM 10085940 will be effective on 07.09.2008 this is weird and problematic to us.
Please advice what happen and fixed this one my cogi error said enter storage location for this 10085940 component.
and in CS03 when i look at the BOM:
10074921 (valid fr) 14.05.2008 (valid to) 07.09.2008 (change # 500001258 (change # to) 500001311

Cogi Error Deflicit of Unres.BA stock prev.

In COGI, I have tried to clear error in goods movements. But Inspite of stock available in storage location, system throws Deficit of Unrestricted stock and 0 goods movement successfully got executed. This is a halb material stock. I verfied stock overview also, absolutely no problem. Stock available in unrestricted stock under specified storage location.
What I understand Is there is logic for stock posting as below:
1.The Error generated by CO11N entry (261 mvmt) posting date was 27.02.2009. This means COGI got generated for the error goods movement with posting date 27.02.2009.
2. Stock Updated of error material which is used as Sfg in above case by 101(GR) in other location on 02.03.09 which means Posting date is later than 27.02.09.
That is why it is has create probelm as Deficit Unrestricted stock as stock posting date is later than error posting date.Now period's are also open for Feb 09 if i change the date of posting in error ,goods movement will be posted definietly.But this does not happen always because several times these type of cases happen in our scenario & without changing the posting date to current the system accept the cogi error to be posted pls. give you advices on this matter.

Creation date is the date when the material was created in the COGI. Error date is the date when the error was first created.

COGI Error - RE Reserved quant. exceeded

I got a issue with high priority in COGI transaction with Error Text " RE Reserved quant. exceeded by 4,071.456 KG : CPXXXBRT 1000 R100"
Application Area M7 & Message Number 362.
The material is a raw material. I have verified the production order and found, the Requirement Qty for this raw material is 144,275.00, Committed quantity is 29,941.876 & the Withdrawl Qty is 147,667.284
I am new to this error issue in COGI. Can any one guide me what to do now and how to solve this issue quickly?

since the material is activated as a Backflush, when the try to post extra qty compare to requirement qty for that reason, Goods movement is failed and log is created in COGi.
IF they client want the above qty issue against Planned consumption.
then they need to increase the requirement qty in CO02 by 4071.456, so that the reservation qty will equal as posting
IF they client want the above qty issue against unplanned consumption.
Then They can delete the COGI error and post the Goods issue in MB1A, with out entering order in initial screen and the add the order in MB1A and post the raw material

Error in Cogi after cancelling production order- Urgent

Its me again.
I would liek to seek your help regarding this problem I have.
Below is the process done:
1) Create production order
2).CO11N : producing qty in quality inspection status (Stocks received in QI status)
3) QA32 : accepting inspection lot ( thus the stock will be moved to "unrestricted")
Due to some errors discovered, prod order needs to be cancelled
4) CO13 : Cancel production => mvt 102 will fall into the cogi with error message "Deficit of BA Stck in qual.insp ... etc"

Hi ,
If QM is active , you cannot use 322 movement directly.
For this you need to activate 08 insp type in MM insp set up.
After that , you can bring the matl back into Quality using 322 movement.
Dont forget to deactivate the 08 insp type , once your work is over.

"The query was cancelled" error after upgrade from 10.1.3.3.3 to 10.1.3.4.2

I was using OBIEE 10.1.3.3.3 /. After upgrading to 10.1.3.4.2 , the queries are not running ( long running queries alone) as expected. and so all the campaigns iwh tlong running queries are cancelled and the error message is seen in the xml log in Marketing jobs management.
We have upgraded the OBIEE version from 10.1.3.3.3 to 10.1.3.4.2 yesterday after which the connectivites have been checked with SQLPLUS and they are working fine. But when the campaign has been loaded, the Analytics have received the request for the segment query and after longer run, the task has been cancelled with the error message "The Query was cancelled as mentioned below in the Job Stats

So far, the unaccessedtimingrunoutminutes tag has been tried to set 50 under ODBC tag in instanceconfig.xml. and the defaulttimeoutminutes has been tried to set to 150 in the same instanceconfig.xml.
along with that the rpd changes are done. For all the users apart from the Administrator, the timeout has been changedfrom 10 minutes to 150 minutes. But still that way is not working.
The segments was fired with the Administrator login. So , if the timeout for admin login can be set, i assume that the problem might be solved. Please let us know ur suggestions here too.
If that is the case, when we open rpd , only for Administrator user and group, the Permissions button is disabled. So i want to know how to change for Admin user settings in rpd..
Please advice us on the same.

SSAS 2012 Tabular Error: The operation was cancelled because of locking conflicts

I have a 800 mb SSAS database that I refresh(Process current day partition) every 30 minutes. As soon as the processing starts all my users get error The operation was cancelled because of locking conflicts. I ran the deadlocks trace as described in http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sql_pfe_blog/archive/2009/08/27/deadlock-troubleshooting-in-sql-server-analysis-services-ssas.aspx
but all I see is the processing start and all the users getting the error ("The operation was cancelled because of locking conflicts") 22 mil sec after the processing starts.
I also ran "select * from $system.discover_locks" but I only see lock types 2,4 and 8. None of which seem to be exclusive

According to your description, you get the dead lock error when processing partition. Right?
In Analysis Services, this error occurs when lock manager detects a dead lock. Lock type 2,4 and 8 can also have two transactions waiting each other and cause deadlock. In this scenario, please check the Dead Lock Graph in SQL Profiler
and find the related processes. Check what the processes work for to see if you need to do parallel processing or process other objects before partition processing.

TFS Integration Platform Error while Syncing - Caught and converted, The request was aborted: The request was canceled

We are doing a 2-way version control sync between TFS 2013 servers.
TFS A - Project A is getting synched with TFS B - Project A.
TFS A - Project A has got all the code and files, whereas TFS B - Project A is empty.
Previously we have synced TFS 2013 projects across servers with out any error or issues. Today we came across an issue (check log at end of post) and hope Microsoft can
provide some guidance on this. Following is the problem we are facing today:
We have configured the TFS Integration platform tool for VC - 2 way sync and started the migration. Current
status is that the discovery, analysis is complete and migration is half way when I started to get such errors
(check log at end of post) .
Note that the migration has not stopped...
After doing some research and googling I understand that the reason for this error is that by default if
an individual file transfer cannot complete 16MB in 5 minutes, the operation will fail. And the solution to this is to modify
chunk size in the file of "TfsMigrationShell.exe.config". I have few questions regarding this...
Question 1:Is
above understanding and solution correct? I also notice that this error appears for every huge file (approx >30MB), is there any timeout setting at the target server? Is this something to be changed at the Tool level config or the Target IIS level
config?
Question 2: Suppose
I do not change the config setting, then huge files are skipped due to this error. However, after the migration of the other files is finished, then, will the tool retry to sync the skipped (huge) files? Or has it skipped them forever?
Question 3:
Suppose I modify
chunk size in the file of "TfsMigrationShell.exe.config", then, which of the following do I need to do (give me the best solution among the 3 below)
a) Do I need
to restart the migration (by deleting and recreating the project on the 2nd TFS Server and re-starting migration)?
b) Do
I need to create a new configuration and restart migration?
c) Do I need to restart the sync service?
The concern here is that we have got 3 more jobs (TFS
Integration tool configurations) running parallelly that
is syncing Work Items & VC of other TFS projects and want to make sure that restarting the TFS Integration Job Service will not have any negative impact on the other jobs as well as no negative impact on the current migration job...

I have been doing in depth research and testing of this and here are my findings:
Replies to your points:
1) It failed with UploadChunkSize value change. Tried 1MB, 500KB, even 100KB. Fails with same error! Is there any other setting we can change for the timeouts at the target TFS server also?
2) The huge files are not skipped. The migration loops on the failed files and doesn't continue to process the next lot of files. So the migration is blocked on the huge files.

Please see below the finding on when migration succeeds and when it fails:-
Scenario 1:
a) Where Migration fails:
TFS A is in India and TFS B is in UK. Both TFS are on different domain. Migration tool is installed on same machine as TFS A. There is a firewall that allows the access from TFS A machine to TFS B machine. The migration tool fails to work in this scenario
when it encounters a file size approx > 8MB. I tried setting the UploadChunkSize value to 100KB. Yet it failed!
b) Where Migration works:
However, if the files are approx less than 3MB then the migration works without any errors.
Scenario 2 where TFS migration tool works:
TFS A is in India and TFS B is also in India (located closeby). Both TFS are on different domain. Migration tool is installed on same machine as TFS A. There is no firewall in this case. No changes were made to UploadChunkSize value and files with size
of 10's and 100's of MBs got synced without any issue.
Questions
Question 1: Can we conclude now that there is some issue with the firewall or network in case of scenario 1? As mentioned above Scenario 1 works if file size is less then approx 3MB.
Question 2: Is there any timeout setting on the Target TFS server which can be set so that it waits for the file without timing out?
