Azure + Sync Framework + Error: Value was either too large or too small for a UInt64

Hi,
We have an in-house developed syncronisation service built on the Sync Framework v2.1 which has been running well for over 2 years. It pushes data from a local SQLServer 2005 database to one hosted on Azure with some added encryption.
The service was stopped recently and when we try to re-start it, it fails with the error:
System.OverflowException: Value was either too large or too small for a UInt64.
at System.Convert.ToUInt64(Int64 value)
at System.Int64.System.IConvertible.ToUInt64(IFormatProvider provider)
at System.Convert.ToUInt64(Object value, IFormatProvider provider)
at Microsoft.Synchronization.Data.SyncUtil.ParseTimestamp(Object obj, UInt64& timestamp)
at Microsoft.Synchronization.Data.SqlServer.SqlSyncScopeHandler.GetLocalTimestamp(IDbConnection connection, IDbTransaction transaction)
I have found the Hotfix 2703853, and we are proposing to apply this to our local server, but we have found that running SELECT CONVERT(INT, @@dbts) on the local database returns 1545488692 but running the same query on the Cloud database returns -2098169504.
which indicates the issue is on the Azure side. Would applying the hotfix to our local server resolve the issue or would it need to be somehow applied to the Azure server?

Hi,
We have now applied the Sync Framework hotfixes to our server and re-provisioned the sync service. No errors were reported and the timestamp values were all within the required range. On re-starting the service the system worked as anticipated. It has now
been running for a week and appears to be stable. No further changes were required other than installing the hotfixes and re-provisioning the scope.

ODT error in VS2005: Value was either too large or too small for an Int32

Using ODT's Oracle Explorer in VS2005 I connected to a 3rd party's Oracle9i database that's been around for a while. I expanded the tables node and then attempted to expand a specific table. It then displayed a popup message and never expanded the table so I could manage the columns.
The error is:
An error ocurred while expanding the node:
Value was either too large or too small for an Int32
I recreated the table, with no data, in another database (same version of oracle, different physical server) and was able to expand the table in ODT's Oracle Explorer.
I went back to the other database in Oracle Explorer and tried to expand the table and it failed with the same error message.
The only difference I can see is that the first table contains ALOT of data (gigabytes), while the other table (the duplicate I created to duplicate the error) does not have any data.
here's the definition of the table minus the actual table and field names.
FLD6 contains jpg data from a 3rd party Oracle Forms application. The jpg data is between 100K and 20MB.

You can also use the Map TestTool to test your maps. It uses the BizTalk engine to execute the map. You can select a map that is deployed to the GAC en execute it.

Is this a clean install or an upgrade? 20 GB, though greater than the minimum, is pretty minimal. How much memory do you have on the system? 2008 would try to create a page file of 1.5x physical memory, so if you are building on a large
memory system, you could be having an issue there.

Quotacheck: searchfs Result too large: Result too large

Aside from a 2006 post regarding this issue, I'm unsure how to resolve my scenario. We're using OSX server's time machine AFP goodies, but we needed to enable quotas for users. Simple? Maybe, but not mac style... so you head into the terminal, read some old posts on outdated forums... use repquota, quotacheck, and quotaon...
And everything seemed to work, until you add a user (through edquota) who's quota isn't in fstab, who can't be found in repquota...
sigh...
I turned off quota checking, tried starting from scratch... what do I get with but an error who's last mention on this forum is from 2006:
sudo quotacheck -a -v
* Checking user and group quotas for /dev/rdisk4 (/Volumes/ColdStorage)

Any ideas of ways around? The 2006 posts seem to indicate that after attempting variations of quotacheck, I might eventually break through!

I've run into the same issue on our setup as well. (Xserve G5 10.4.8, data is an Xserve RAID, level 5 1TB, used for home directories) I'm working with Apple to see if there is a solution to this issue or if it is a bug. In the meanwhile, they recommended running quotacheck with the path to the share rather then -a
sudo quotacheck -v /Volumes/OURDATA
Using the command this way seems to work about half of the time for me, the other half still giving the same error message. I'm hoping this is a cosmetic issue with quotacheck, and not a hint of a problem with our setup.
I'll be sure to post if I find anything else out.

I had reset the firefox, but it doesn't fix my problem. I had checked same page in other browsers, like Google Chrome & Internet Explorer. I didnot get problem in that browser, The problem coming in firefox browser only.

First, please ensure that you have the permission to view the data source of the cube. And then under C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.4\OLAP\Log (this could be different for your server), there are 3 log files that are generated:
msmdrrv.log
FlightRecorderCurrent.trc
FightRecorderBack.trc
The msmdrrv.log simply points to the other two logs. There might be some detail information for this error.
Besides, you can restart the server and then check if this issue persists or not.
If the issue persists, please post the detail error message on the error log, so that we can make further analysis.

Garmin is sending you to Apple because it is Apple that would have to give you a refund as the actual point of sale. However, Apple states all sales are final.
Apple is sending you to Garmin because it is Garmin's fault their maps are out of date and Apple doesn't write the software. They may not even be looking that deeply and simply perceiving it as a programming "bug" it is up to Garmin to solve.
Who know whose fault it is that Garmin isn't getting up to date data to put in their maps.
Ultimately I think you stand the best chance in getting a refund from Apple though it isn't guaranteed. Apple is the cashier. You just have to convince them this isn't just a line of code omitted from an application and isn't something that will be soon corrected by Garmin. Make it clear it isn't a problem with the application running on your device, it is a problem with the data it contains. Either that or you have to hope Garmin will feel so bad about it they will delve down into their slush fund and send you a refund.

Just paid $23.88, but my file couldn't be converted. "12345_2014.pdf" failed to export to docx. The file is either too large or too complex to export.

I'm sorry that the file didn't convert for you. How large is the file you're trying to convert? There's a 100MB file-size limit. Overly complex files that fall within this limit may not convert, depending on your upload speed and so on.
You can try converting with OCR disabled as outlined in this document: How to disable Optical Character Recognition, which will simplify the conversion process.

JSFL function exportPNG failing with "bitmap too large" error.

I'm trying to export to PNG from the JSFL document.exportPNG function with 'bCurrentPNGSettings' but it fails. Flash keeps complaining that "The bitmap is too large. The largest bitmap that can be created is 8000x800 pixels."
The width x height of the document is set to 1920x1080 and I've tried modifying the publish profile appropriately. Still no-dice.
If I set 'bCurrentPNGSettings' to false so that the export dialog appears it pops up with the correct width and height; clicking OK exports properly.
Anyone have any ideas?

I am experiencing a similar problem. I have hundreds of symbols, most of which export just fine. A few symbols, however, do not. Although these symbols are typically modest in size, 1x49 pixels for example, Flash throws the error "The bitmap is too large. The largest bitmap that can be created is 8000x8000 pixels." which halts the script until it is acknowledged by the user.
It seems that this "too large" error might appear anytime the width or height is out of range, as in it is either too large OR too small. If you allow the Export PNG dialog box to appear (or manually do a File...Export Image...), it has a Width of 4 pixels. When I try to correct the value to 1 pixel, another error is shown saying "Please enter a number between 4 and 8000." Anything outside this range will not be accepted.
I also noticed that when I specified "false, true" for the optional 2nd and third parameters, the Export PNG dialog fails to appear.
I am using Flash Pro CS5 on a PC.
I tried this using Flash CS4/PC. I had an even worse time with the dialog, as I changed the width and height, it automatically changed the dpi from 72 to whatever value entered.
So in order for the script to be able to exportPNG on all of the symbols in the library, I have to first check the symbol's dimensions, and either abort the export operation, or correct the values, forcing a minimum dimension of 4 pixels.

Microsoft file sync framework is not syncing deleted files

I'trying to use Microsoft File sync framework to keep two folders in sync.
Everything works good except when I delete a file in source folder its ot deleted on destionation folder on next sync run.
I was expecting Microsoft sync framework will take care of this automatically . if not please direct me how to achieve this .

Firefox 22 and higher shows fonts too big or too small, sometimes on the same page. How to "fix" this annoying 'improvement"?

Since the update *every* website displays with the fonts too big or too small. On many websites, some of the fonts are too big and some are too small *on the same page*
This makes for a horrible browsing experience.
I've tried setting the layout.css.PixelsPerPx to a value of 1, but all it does is make most websites fonts too small, while leaving some websites fonts too large, with many web pages having fonts simultaneously too large and too small.
The old behavior was quite acceptable and I'd really like to restore the behavior to what it was. How can I do that? Or do i just switch to Chrome and be done with it?

This "fix" doesn't work. Hundreds of people are complaining about how their browser was broken by this "improvement". Why not address the real problem instead of telling users to apply a useless hack to fix a programming error?

When I run BI report on SAP portal, it shows me the message : Result set too large...., I had changed BICS_DA_RESULT_SET_LIMIT_MAX and BICS_DA_RESULT_SET_LIMIT_DEF, but I don't know how to(and where) config "safety belt", somebody can teach me that!? thanks a lot!

Seriously, reduce the file size of the photos in Preview, PhotoShop, iPhoto or other application before inserting tehem into the Numbers document.
