B2B BAM Issue

Hi b2bgurus,
I am working on B2B to BAM Integration and followed the B2B developer guide "23 Monitoring Instance Message Data With Oracle BAM" and created Datasource, Foreign JMS server, BAM Data Objects, BAM Enterprise message source etc as mentioned in guide.
But When I test the B2B inbound message, I could not find the any messages in BAM EMS and DataObjects.

1. In Source Value Formatting, check the DateTime Specification checkbox is selected and the MM/dd/yy H:mm:ss format is selected in the drop-down list.I have marked the DateTime Specification check box
2. Make sure that Source to Data Object Field Mapping is correctI have included the 3 fields in EMS mapping [id,referToId,b2bMessageId]
But still the messages are not moving from BAM Enterprise message source to BAM Data objects.
The BAM EMS metrics are as below:
Total Messages Received 2
Total Messages committed in ADC 0
Total Messages Lost 2
Please let me know if i am missing any configuration in BAM EMS.
I have configured the EMS with the following details:

  • B2B encoding issue.

    hello,
i am facing one issue in oracle B2B, where when i try to write a flat file using a b2b send operation 'Å' this character gets converted to 'Ã…'
What cold be a possible solution to it? please help.

You have to verify all these -
    1. B2B-BAM integration DB job is running every minute (as per your configuration)
    2. Data is getting enqueued to AQ B2B_BAM_QUEUE (resides in SOAINFRA schema) every minute (as per your configuration)
    3. Data is getting dequeued from above queue, by BAM immediately
For checking step#2, you may need to stop BAM EMS for B2B.
If first two checks are fine then problem is with BAM.

  • B2B Date Issue

    Hello everyone,
         Here is my scenario:
When B2B generate a file the SystemDate is only in 6 digit format YYMMDD (e.g. 131003). My requirement is to have an 8 digit format YYYYMMDD (20131003). I tried to change B2B
Settings to YYYYMMDD but the SystemDate in the output file is 201310. This means that the B2B could only generate 6 digits format.
Regarding this, is there any way to format SystemDate in 8 digits? Appreciate your answers! Thanks in advance.

  • BizTalk Server BAM Issue

    Hi,
We are unable to view applications transactions in BAM portal. few days we saw all transactions noe we getting error in BAM portal when I was trying to view all application transactions. already I am the member of that group.

    Hi,
What is the error that you are getting??
If you are not getting any error then try the following
What is the activity windows set for the BAM activity?
Are you archiving the data to BAM archive database?
Use this command to get activity window
    bm.exe get-activitywindow -Activity:<Give Name of your activity>
Use below command to check if you are archiving the data?
    bm.exe get-archive -Activity:<Give Name of your activity>
The reason is here that after the activity period if you do not archive the BAM data, it will be purged but if you archive it, the data will move to the archive database..but in any case the data will not be visible in the portal.

    Mandar Dharmadhikari

  • BAM with B2B

    Hi,
We have a requirement where in we have 4 reports based on a data object. This data object gets data from the B2B repository through EMS.
The data is displayed in the first report initially as B2B transactions.
After about 2 hours, the transactions should also show up in the second report
After about 4 hours, the transactions should also show up in the third report.
After about 48 hours, the transactions should also show up in the fourth report.
What is the best way of achieving this, we tried so many things but it doesn't work.
    Thanks.

    Hi Srinivas,
As per Ramesh, current release (11gR1 PS1 - 11.1.1.2.0) of Oracle Fusion Middleware does not support B2B-BAM integration. You have to wait for the next release (PS2), for this feature to be available.

  • BAM getting random timeouts calling BPEL web service as alert rule

I have a BAM alert rule set up to call a BPEL process (web service call basically). This is part of our custom error notification and escalation solution.
In production I randomly see timeouts in the BAM event engine logs where the web service call has timed out. On the BPEL side these processes never show as being invoked, nor are they in manual recovery.
This only happens at random times, although usually in "clumps" lasting a few minutes. The rest of the time this has been fairly reliable.
Any help from the BAM experts would be appreciated. I would open an SR on this, but I have found support to literally take days/weeks to get back to me on BAM issues -- and this particular issue does not seem to be reliably reproduceable.
Here is the event engine log message:

  • How to download payload from b2b_instancemessage view in Oracle b2b 10g

I am not able to extract message payload from B2B_INSTANCEMESSAGE VIEW.
    when i execute this query:
    select payload from b2b_instancemessage where documenttype like '%rsConfirmIncid%';
the output I get is "BLOB"
I need the complete payload. can somebody please help me?

We had the requirements to display the Payload in a BAM Monitoring dashboard. Since it was not part of the typical B2B-BAM Monitoring process, and even though technically we can get it from the B2B Message view, there are some BAM feature limitations due to which we had to build a simple ADF page to display the payload and link it to the BAM report. To the end user it is not relevent if we built is using BAM/ADF as it is seamless. Hope this will help someone else who is looking for a similar solution.
    Uday.

  • How to use Callout in B2B on the basis of STATUS

    Hi,
If there occurs a validation error in the B2B EDI contents, what mechanism can be used to update that status back to the source system?
We are using B2B Adapter in the BPEL Process to pass the XML file and B2B generates an EDI file for us. Now, if there are any validation errors due to which the EDI file doesn't get generated. What mechanism in B2B I can use to take that status and message and respond back to the caller?
Have heard about "Callout" in B2B, can we use it? If yes, then how?
    Thanks
    Priyanka

    Hi Priyanka,
Let me see if I understood. You want to be able to do some specific processing after an EDI message has an error when sending the message but also when the message is sent properly. Correct?
For the first case: When an EDI message has an error when sending:
you can use what I described earlier and set an exception queue. You will then receive all exceptions on a back-end SOA process and can apply your specific processing there.
For the second case: When an EDI message is sent properly, you can perhaps use one of these 2 options:
Using the B2B BAM connection for communicating to the back-end. Set the BAM to true under Administration -> Configuration. You need then to configure a JMS queue linked to the Remote JNDI AQ of B2B_BAM_QUEUE. Then, you can read from this JMS on your composite level and filter for the messages that you desire and continue your process from there.
Use the FA for the Agreement. This should force that an ACK message is sent back to your B2B if message is properly delivered. Upon receiving this message you can then process it to your back-end application and once again apply your specific processing there.
    I hope this helps.
    Cheers
    Tiago

  • 9134 b2b credits

    Greetings,
Having come from a director class environment, I have to wonder about b2b credits on something smaller like the 9134. It has 64 available per port group which consists of 4 ports. If I intended to purchase something like the 9134 for purely ISL work with FC and FICON, how can I get around this b2b credit issue? I have had nothing but problems with HDS True Copy in our normal (Brocade) fabrics and I have decided to split the replication onto its own "SAN" with ONS 15540 providing the DWDM links. Brocade provide either R_RDY or VC over ISL's and I am not convinced that VC can handle head of line blocking. R_RDY definitely cant as it is not capable of that function. So if I was to run port channels of say 2 x 4 Gpbs over up to 32 kms, my 64 b2b credits is not going to leave anything for the other two ports per port group.
10 Gpbs ISL's seem to be the way to do this.
    Any comments are most welcome.
    Stephen

This leads me to the 9134 10 Gpbs ISL. If it has 64 buffer credits, what good is it? That equates to about 5 buffer credits per kilometre. Thats a limit of about 12 kilometres. Considering that the practical native fibre channel standard is about 32 km in most cases, I would expect enough buffer credits to handle that distance.
The 9222i is just toooooo expensive as I don't want the IP connectivity. Pity..

This directory is not present at all in my installation.
    1. Could any one tell me as to why is this dir not present in my installation
    2. Can some one point me to a location where i can donwload these samples.
    3. Some pdf which is created to deal with B2B-API issues and details

  • Compatible Wireless and USB Printer Lists using AirPort Extreme

Long night researching this issue. I bought a new AirPort Extreme (802.11n) yesterday and I LOVE IT. Very fast and no lag whatsoever. Then I tried to setup our printer via the USB port and BAM - issues.
Here is a short summary of what I learned (thanks to all the guys who posted a lot of this info on separate posts)
    - Unfortunately not all USB printers are compatible with AirPort base stations. - The AirPort's USB port does not support the "advanced" printer functions, like scanning, copying or faxing, of multi-function printers.
Go to iFelix for a "short" list of compatible and incompatible printers:
    http://www.ifelix.co.uk/tech/index.html
Please note, there is a workaround for "some" printers - trial and error is the only way to see if your printer will work:
    http://www.ifelix.co.uk/tech/1300.html
I believe most retail printers that use Postscript, PCL3, PCL4, PCL5 and PCL6 interfaces should work.
I learned the hard way that printers that use the "HP LIDIL" interface must be connected to the computer directly and will not work via the AirPort Extreme USB port.
Here is a list from IBM support of HP printers and which interface they use:
    http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=nas1ba0863cfa6463903862569c10078c9 03
    GOOD LUCK!!!!

Remember that when you attach a USB printer to the AirPort, the AirPort will perform the function of a Print Server. As you can imagine, if the server cannot locate the printer (for whatever reason), it will treat it as unavailable and not attempt to share it out.
However, like you expect, you wouldn't have to restart a dedicated print server, and thus, you shouldn't have to do the same with the AirPort. Of course, anything is possible.
I would suggest a couple of things to see if they would help: 1) Even though you have a single printer attached, I would suggest in investing in a powered USB hub. Plug the hub into the USB port first, and then, the printer into the hub. You can then power cycle the printer as required. 2) Completely remove the printer and associated printer drivers that were installed and reinstall it.
