Back Ordered State when item available in inventory

Hi!!
even when the item is available in the inventory, when thr order is pick released, it goes to back_ordered state.
what all can be the reasons??
There were many issues concerning ATP reported in Metalink.
Those solutions were implemented and now there's no error in ATP inquiry.
It shows status as available in the order entry form , but backorders during pick release.
Plz help me out o fthis..

Hi!
It was because my material transaction interface manager was not running.
Now it has moved from 'Back ordered ' state to released to warehouse status.
I'm not able to pick-confirm.
I've given as auto-pick confirm =yes, auto-allocate ='yes'.
Procedure followed:
After booking an order, navigated to release sales order form and tried both online and concurrent options.
The concurrent request for pick-confirm API ends with error due to timeout.
In Online mode it sayz, Pick confirm is not completed
So I do it thro' Transact Move Orders form.
But the request is in pending state only.
I saw a similar issue in the metalink(reg. pick- confirm API) . but solution was not there.
Please giv your input.

New to Apple, Very experianced Tech. Like a good product.
I was of the understanding that Apple was good to people who purchase it's products.

Back order item list from the STO

Dear Experts,
I am looking for the information how i will generate the list STO orders with line item from the STO (Intra company) which on back order. ???
Like in Sales order we have some tranasction CO06, V_RA, V_V2.......
From STO how we can track the Back order STO with item wchich are on back order???
Well I tried with ME2N, VL06O, VL10D, But did not get the expected result......
Could you please guide me some more detail information...

Did you try V_V2 and checking the box Process stock transfer docs? You can read the documentation pertaining to this t.code by clicking the i button provided on the top. You can also read OSS Note 821739 - FAQ : Rescheduling Transaction (V_V2) in Purchasing.
If you want to check for few materials, then MD04 itself shows the back order STO.

Problem in Back Order Processing

Hi Gurus,
I am not able to process Back order Processing when the order is created in CRM & replicated to R3.
(Error: please select a line item which can be changed)
But I am able to process a Back order processing in R3 when order is directly created in R/3, for the same article, same ship to party and same site (plant).
Can you please suggest as to what could be the problem.

What is the Process of Back to Back Order ?

Hi,
I want to know the Whole Process of Back to Back Order of an Item !
And plz reply my Question .......................? Sir

Back Order of an Item means :-
Suppose you have a order and delivery date is 01/08/2011 for 10 quantity .
now you have dispached only 5 quantity on same sales order.
now run to back order report in next day(02/08/2011) it will show that 5 qty is in back order report.

Line item is falling into back order even though the stock is available

Hi Gurus,
I have a sales order with a single line item which fell into back order even though there is material stock available in the plant and thereby is not dropping any delivery note.
Please suggest me what could be the reason behind this issue and let me know how can i figure it out of what is causing this issue.
FYI, it is happening for multiple sales order but not for all the orders.

Hi,
You should check if there are pending requirements in MD04 coming from another sales orders or STO. If your sales order is not available in MD04, either you have daily requirements or the order is probably blocked by credit check.
If you use credit check control and the credit check fails, the quantity will not be confirmed until the sales order is released in VKM4.
If the above does not help, please provide more details about the issue (schedule line type, MRP type etc), as it is stated quite generic now.

Payemment Card not been utillised for all 3 delivery Items when back order

Payemment Card not been utillised for all 3 delivery Items when the items are confirmed through Back order.
1 delivery item out of 3 are processed(Billed) with Paymet card.
But why not all 3 deliveries?

There is an Order with number 123456 there were three deliveries generated 123,234, and 345.
Only one of those deliveries applied to the credit card(123).
There are products on backorder and when the backorder is relased, they invoice without the credit card.
Actually all above line items in Order 123456 are confirmed through Backorder.
But all three deliveries have to have been processd(billed) through Payement card.
only 123 is billed with Payement card while other 2 are billed through normal invoicing without Payement card.

Shipping status becomes backordered even when item is present in inventory

Hi,
1.The shipping status becomes 'Back ordered' after pick ship release process.
2.The onhand quantity form(inventory-->on-hand,Availability--->on-hand quantity)
shows zero(even when 100 qty is present) when queried for that particular item.
3.When tried increasing the quantity (inventory--->transactions-->miscellaneous transaction)it shows 100 quantity available. If i try adding more it shows the following error:
APP-INV-05647:The remote call failed because no manager was available.
I checked the following.
1.The status of the four interface managers are active.
2.The columns for "Available" and "Target" for the Inventory Manager and the Remote Procedure Manager were not equal and tried restarting them. Even then the numbers are not equal.
how to solve this problem?

Probably the quantity you are seeing in the ATP form must be reserved and so your pick release is getting backordered.
I did a quick Metalink search for your error, and the following is the result:
fact: Oracle Work In Process 11.5.3
fact: WIPTXSFM - Move Transactions
symptom: Receive error when processing WIP transactions
symptom: APP-INV-05647 The Remote call failed because no manager was
available
symptom: Locks for the process INVTRM in table
MTL_MATERIAL_TRANSACTIONS_TEMP
cause: The cause of this problem is still undetermined.
fix:
Update file wipsorvb.pls to version 115.26 or higher. Apply Patch 2084821 or
later.
Someone else tried the following :
Change the following profile option :
TP:Server Side Online Processing = No
and this solved their problem.
Try it out and check whether this resolves your issue.

Item 100 cannot be back ordered

hi,
i got issue "item 100 cannot be back ordered" when saving the order,
so immediately checked in stock overview MMBE here there is no stock,
so i came to conclusion there is no material available .
Plss clarify me other than this , there is any reason we can get "item 100 cannot be back ordered" type error,

Sales Order - Item Availability Check

Currently I am doing some integration work between SAP B1 and another ERP system. The inventory data is maintained in the other ERP system and not in SAP B1. When I create a Sales Order in SAP B1, I need to replace SAP B1's default Item Availability Check with a customised routine. Is there a way to trap the action and replace it with my own customised check using the UI/DI API?

I have made something like that, to replace the defaut Check by one that check purchase order shipping date.. Here is a exemple code for trapping :
You must place it in SBO_Application_ItemEvent
if ((pVal.FormTypeEx == "139") & (pVal.EventType == SAPbouiCOM.BoEventTypes.et_VALIDATE) & (pVal.ItemUID == "38") & (pVal.ColUID == "11") & (pVal.Before_Action == true) & (pVal.InnerEvent == false))
CheckAvailability();
Don't forget to disable the SBO Check Availability in the document's config form.

Item availability in background for make to order scenario

hi to all
i have a requierment for our project ,out client process is make-to order . once Sales creates the sales order this order will go for process order converted into production order.onec the goods produced against this sales order by doing MIGO the stock is posted to the unrestricted storage loaction.This is about the process.
My requirement is as an when the material is posted to storage location i have to do item availability manualy in the sales order.This will be done with checking with stock over view MMBE. But the client requirement is that process of confirming the item availability in the back ground .That is as an when the stock is produced against this sales order the item availability (schedule line ) should be confirmed in the back ground.
I need your valuable sloution to this scenario. My requirement is very critical as this requirement has come after golive. I have to do this at the earliest.

Back order line in transact move order form , drived the inventory negative

Hi,
I had problem with transacting some lines in several move orders (it was stuck and giving error each time I tried to transact or delete from view update allocation –> delete line)
In order to cancel these lines to proceed the manufacturing process I back ordered those lines by:
Inventory super user - > move orders - > transact move order - > tools - > back order line
Note that the move orders type was Manufacturing Pick
Now I noticed that this drives the WIP subinv Negative for those items .
So what is the problem and how can I solve it?

The problem was in the interface managers (Material transaction , Move transaction ) were inactive , i launched them
Review note 141493.1 in metalink to know how.
I also deleted the pending transactions with errors from mtl_material_transactions_temp and mtl_transaction_lots_temp ( the items were lot control ) .

Error in V_RA: when I am trying to do Back orders processing

Please check the entries. No work list selected
Message no. VR420
Diagnosis
No entries were found for the specified selection criteria.
Possible reasons for this:
Indexes for materials and business partners have not been updated
The organizational data or selection criteria are incorrect.
Procedure
Check whether all indexes have been updated. Check your organizational data and selection criteria as well.
I have seen the same issue in sales order level but its not solve my issue so can u plz guide me how to solve the issue

wanna Change the Confirmed Qunatity stock of particular Customer and reduce the quantity and increase the that stock to another customer sales order that is possible in sap through back order V_RA?
If this is your Q then yes it is possible. Procedure is as follows
Step1: you need to go to V_RA and select the order from which you need to reduce the stock. then reduce the stock from the order. This subsequently increase the material in your stock.
Step2: Go the the order to which you need to conform the stocks T code V_RA. You can fetch the stocks from inventory. Thus making your order conformed.

Automatic Item availability check on Sales Order

We use SAP B1 9.0 PL 08 HF1
I have two questions:
1.
When Automatic availability check is activated on Sales Order in Document Settings, there will pop-up a windows for each sales order line which cannot be delivered.
My question is, since we could have more than 100 item lines in one order, and we have maaany orders, this pop-up is taking to much time. Is it possible to define one alternative (e.g. "Change to Earliest Availability") as standard, and avoid the pop-up window?
2.
We also use B1if to import orders in SAP B1 using XML files. Is there any way we could get B1if to use one of the alternatives from the Item Availability Check when importing the order lines? Right now, the imported order lines will have the exact same date on all lines.

Sales Order function module to retrieve the item availability values

Hi,
Is there any function module to retrieve the item availability schedule line values.
Navigation:->
Go to sales order (Change Mode) -> Schedule lines tab -> In application toolbar you can find Item availability icon.
When this is pressed, next screen you can find the split up of schedule line values. I am developing an ALV report and is required to retrieve the Split up of the schedule line values.
Is there any function module to retrieve the same.

I have found one function module ATP_EXPLANATION. I am not able to figure out the parameters that needs to be inputted to this function module. If anyone has used this before, could you kindly help me out.
This function module returns the Split up for Schedule lines in the tablea 'MDVEX'.
