Hi,
Auto Gr can be set at the control key Trans code OP00 and in prod sheduling profile
Back flushing is nothing but automatic goods issue. System will automatically posts the goods issue when you confirm the operations. You have no need to make manual issue. It will reduce the effort.
Backflushing is automatic accounting (Goods issues - 261 mvt) of material consumed for production, at the time of confirmation. Eg. When a 4 wheeler automobile is rolled out from assy line, 4 wheels & Tyres are deemed to be consumed and issued to production order automatically by way of backflushing by the system.
Assy line picks the material from stores/ Assy line and use.
No Physical issue & Manual posting ( Goods Issue) by Stores.
Backflush is used for material which are a must and having fixed relationship.
This can be configured in MRP2 Screen,Work centre, Routing and production order.
Each has some special function.
If you configure this in routing or production order you have no need to activate this in MRP2 or Work center screen.
MRP2 Screen defines whether material components are backflushed are to be made at the work center

  • Background Job in COGI(REM Backflush error handling)

    Hi Everyone.
    I have one question.
Our company use REM Backflush .
And Our REM profile setting is next.
    - Use GI Backflush at GR posting
    - Don't use report point backflush
    - Create cumulated and individual postprocessing record
In this circumstance, we use T-code COGI to process backflush error.
When I execute the COGI in online, There is no problem
<b>But, After I make a job for background in sm37, When I execute background gob for COGI, There is a problem. In real, Background gob is will executed. But COGI errors remain as before.</b>

    Hi,
    Actually you should use
    Transaction          MF47
Program              RMSERI11, for post process record.
For post processing , manually entry like storage location and Batch number(if batch management is enabled) is required , if the post process record is created according to this error.
And hence it is not possible to correct all the records by background job.
    Thanks

  • WM-PP : Backflush a material from different bins in the same storage Type

    Hi Gurus,
We have a business scenarion where we do manual staging for production , the staging area has different bins within the same storage type for the same material, I am wondering if there is a way to backflush the material from different storage bins upon prod. order confirmation (using a control cycle?)
    Thanks
    Kris T

Look like it's not possible using the SAP standard.

  • Error while backflushing

    Hi
While backflushing the finished product in REM the system is throwing the following error message.
    Field Bus.area is a required field for G/L account 5990 2400750000
    Message no. F5808
    Diagnosis
The value for field "Bus.area" in the interface to Financial Accounting
is an initial value but you are required to make an entry in the field
selection for G/L account "2400750000" in company code "5990" linked to
the field selection for posting key "99".
    t to do
It might be an error in the configuration of the G/L account field
selection. The initial application, used to call up the interface must
otherwise define a value for field "Bus.area". If this is the case,
contact the consultant responsible for the application used to call up
the interface or get in contact with SAP directly.
Can you provide some solution on this.

  • Subcon PO: Can system change the qty proposed for backflush during GR?

    Scenario:
We have a Subassy A (qty=1) which requires Component A (qty =8). We have component scrap maintained as 25% in the BOM.
When we create the PO with qty as shown below, the following qty is proposed for the component A (80*1.25 = 100) due to component scrap.
    Subcontract PO with item cat L - Subassy A : qty = 10
    Component proposed is            - Component A : 100
During GR we (101) the Subaasy A: qty = 10
We backflush (543) the Component A qty =80 (system proposes qty =100 but we change it to 80.00)
In subsquent adjustment, MB04 we consume/backflush (543) the additional issued components.
    Problem:
IS it possible to have the system propose the component A qty as per the BOM ie (80 for 10 Subassy A parts)
so that inventory control does not have to change the proposed qty during GR.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi,
    You should try this.
Create an entry sheet in which planned services are defaulted from the purchase order. You can determine the quantities suggested from the PO by specifying percentages (Entry sheet -> Create -> With planned services).
    Cheers !

  • Confirmation/backflushing of finished goods

    Hello all,
We sometimes produce finished goods using other finished goods.  We have them added to BOMs accordingly, however, during Production Order confirmation CO15 they do not show up in the list of other components. Backflush indicator etc is set.
What's the setting to allow us to confirm them? I poked around in Material Type setup but nothing caught my eye.
    Many thanks...

Thank you for your replies! I apologize, I just realized I asked the wrong question. The finished goods components do show up in the confirmation.
The problem is that these finished goods components don't create any demand in MRP. That's because we are on gross requirements planning.
I guess this goes back to my needs to have both independent (PIRs) and dependent (OrdRes) requirements active in MRP, and SAP for some reason doesn't do that.

  • How to do backflush of alternate material in a bom?

    Hi,
My user wants to do choose alternate material at the time of backflushing  according to material availability..
currently we are maintaining as following priority - 1
                                                               strategy - 2
probability - for first material (100)
                                                                 rest of material as  blank.
any body please guide me what should be the right procedure to achieve this.
Already iu have searched found a thread Can we define alternate material in a BOM  try to apply our expert suggestion but it is not working.
Kindly anybody help me to solve the issue.
    Thanks & Regards
    Sandeep Kumar Praharaj

    Hi Ramagiri,
I have gone through your document but my user wants he should select the component according to his requirement.
for that purpose i have opened the planned order in md12
select the first component make the usage probability to 0.
select the second component change the usage probability to 100
after that requirement has been transfer from first alternate component to second alternate component.
But after when i am trying to do the backflushing through MFBF second alternate component is not showing in overview screen it is still showing the first component.
can u please help me why it is happening & explain how to achieve this point as you mentioned
    Thanks& Regards

  • To change movement type 261 to consider backflush qty in forecasting

    Hi experts,
Can any one let me know what to do to consider the following issue:
Client came to me saying that right now all backflushes using 261 movement type are looking like unplanned cosumption, which is not considering in the forecast.
Is there any setting to the movement type 261 by that the backflushes (unplanned consumption) are considered in the Forecasting?
if such setting is there I will create a new movement type for that: can I assign the new movement type to a particular to a plant?
    OR
Is there any setting other than this to consider the backflush qyt to be considered in Forecasting?
    Thanks in Advance
    Srinivas

generally if backflush indicator is set in the material master with value 1 in the MRP2 view of the material master then you need not to issue components using MB1A for 261 movement type. It happens automatically when you do confirmations in CO11N / CO15.
Backflushing functionality will reduce the manual work when you have more components to issue for producing a product.
Please explain your scenario in detail.

  • Reporting Point Backflush Error

    Hi Friends,
I have a specific question. I am using a material in which Batch Mangement is active. Now when I use MF42N as collective backflush, I enter following data
Scene 1: Input Data in MF42N Screen
    Plant
Posting Data & Document Date (Current Date)
    Material
    backflush Qty
    Version
    Reporting Point
When I enter this data System posts it without asking me Batch Number though Batch Management is active in Material Master.
Scene 2: Input Data in MF42N Screen
    Plant
Posting Data & Document Date (Current Date)
    Material
    backflush Qty
    Version
When I enter this data (No Reporting Point), then System gives me error as Enter Batch (Which is correct as Batch Management is Active in Material Master)
Please tell me why system is not giving error in Scene 1 where I am not entering Batch details.
Please let me know if you want any more details on this.

    Dear Nilesh,
In this case I feel may be by debugging we may be able to identify why the system is allowing you to post the material along
with batch without mentioning the reporting point without error.
Logically it should look for both the objects like reporting point as well as batch number(provided if you have assigned a REM
profile with reporting point and activated the batch management for the product). Is the REM profile containing the reporting point
    as mandatory or optional?

  • MFBF - Read BackFlush Error message

    Hello friends,
Can any one advice me how to read the Backflush error message text in MFBF transaction from se38 program while doing BDC.
    Thanks for immediate reply guys.
    Regards,
    Siva

You may be stuck with copying the files locally and editing and then copying back to the network drive. I am not good with networks, but have noticed posts about network problems over the years -- often focused on specific networks. The solution is typically to deal with the PDFs locally and then copy to the network. In creating PDFs, it seems that some of the results had to do with the TMP folder usage, but I have no clue why.
As far as AA 10.6.3, you must have a cloud version or something. The latest AA is 10.1.7.

  • Issue with Backflush when Consuming Fractions

I am having an issue with back-flushing I was hoping Guru's  could help me .
    Here is the issue:
In the BOM for every 1 EA of X(Parent) we need .025 EA of Y(Child)
The parent part is X. Using CS03 and typing in a quantity of 20 pcs everything looks perfect. I would consume component Y .500 of a sheet.
If you review MFBF for 20 pcs. of X  it wants to consume 1.00 of Y. (1 whole sheet instead of .5)
I know I could put a rounding value of 40 on the X to fix this but that would not be an option for this particular process. Measurements of each of these is not exactly the same and very critical.
Is there an issue with SAP consuming fractions? It seems to round up to 1 whole sheet when it should only consume .500 of a sheet. Do you know of a way to fix this?
Any info would be greatly appreciated
    Thanks,
    Safi

For some reason which is unknown for me, this topic is very hard to manage within SAP.
We face exactly the same issue producing Tanks from steel sheets.
Base Unit of Measure was EA for Sheets . SO, we create a copy of EA called ED (each with decimals) , allowing up to three decimals and assign it as an alternate UoM to the material. In Bom, we had, for instance, 3.6 ED to produce a tank.
But, in reservations the quantities are stored as Base Unit of measure and without decimals, regardless the fact that you a have an alternative UoM , etc etc.
So, if you consume the component based on MIGO and reservations, SAP will propose 4 EA (o 4 ED ! which is even stranger - because of double conversion between base and alternative UoM) . If you consume by backflush, you dont even realise that the GI is being carried out in that way.
We are still waiting for some solution after we sent a message, describing the issue. It is advisable to search the SAP Notes to see if there is some solution .
So far, alternative UoM is not the solution.
You must change the base unit of measure to ED or have some manual procedure of checking the quantities.
Of course, EA can be redefined with decimal parts, also, but this normally can lead to some other problems (other parts managed striclty in EA, i. e. a tank,  could be managed in fractions, 0.75 of a tank !!! etc. )

  • Production Order backflush creating Negative in Storage Type

    Hi All,
We have setup storage types into which stock is replenished based on Min/Max. These storage types have been setup in a control cycle and supply area to backflush upon confirmation of the production order.
I know this is user error, but when doing confirmation (CO15) or clearing COGI the user enters a batch not in one of those storage types (but available at IM level), it creates a negative in these storage types for that batch even though the storage types are setup NOT to allow negative stock.
Is there any other setting or any notes that can be applied to avoid this issue?
    Thanks
    J

    OSS note 489754:
The settings in Customizing which define that no negative stocks are allowed for the storage type, have only an effect on the transfer orders. In addition, you must also set message L9040 as an error message. For this, call up the Customizing and branch to: 'Logistics Execution -> Warehouse Management -> Interfaces -> Inventory Management -> Allow negative Stocks in Interim Storage Types'. There, execute point 'Control of System Messages in Warehouse Management' and enter message type 'E' for message number L9040.

  • Restricted Backflush Authorisation Object C_BFLS_L  is NOT working!

    Hi,
We are using the IS-MILL version of SAP 4.7. We are trying to restrict the authorisation of users for Tcode MFBF only to a few. As suggested in the SPRO help files we tried useing the 'Authorisation Object' [bC_BFLS_L]</b> Restricted Backflush but it is giving an error message <b>"This object is out-of-date and is no longer checked from Release 4.6A".</b>
KINDLY ADVISE ON WHICH AUTHORISATION OBJECT IS TO BE USED and also HOW TO RESTRICT USAGE OF MFBF ONLY TO A FEW USERS if this does not work!
    <u>With Best Regards,</u>
    <b>V.NAGARAJ,</b>

    Hi Enrico,
Thanks a ton for your advice. We did check the authorisation object mentioned by you <b>(C_BFLS)</b>. But the following message is displayed -<b> "This object is out of date and is no longer checked from 4.6A"</b>. KINDLY ADVISE, PLEASE!

  • Error msg "Maximum number of items in FI reached" displayed while backflush

    Dear Gurus,
The scenerio at our client's site is that of MTO using strategy group 50 and variant configuration.
The production process goes through a sequence of three operations. Details are as under:
    1. Operation 10: Control key (PP01), all components (say some 1500) are allocated to this operation.
    2. Operation 20: Control Key (PP01), no components allocated to this operation.
    3. Operation 30: Control key ( PP03), no components allocated, AutoGR maintained in control key.
Now the issue is while doing confirmation using T code CO1F, individually for all the operations, backflushing of some odd 900 components is not taking place. The components get stock in COGI. Each time these are to be cleared from COGI, although there is sufficient stock of these components for these components.
The error msg that is being displayed in COGI is "Maximum number of items in FI reached".
Pls suggest how to take care of it.
    Regards,
    Pradeep Santara

    Hi,
The error is due to the maximum line items have been reached in FI.
actually you cann't post more than 999 items in one acctg doc at one time.

  • Question about sloc determination in MFBF and backflush in REM

    Dear SAPper,
I just try to read about Repetitive Manufacturing and i came with some confused item.
    1. I try to backflush MFBF and i don;t fill the planned order, but the backflush is succedd. Something
strange is my planned order is not decrease:(, so do i have to fill planned order number every time i backflush. Can i backflush anonymous to planned order number and the system derease the planned order automatically in FIFO manner
    2. I configure the auto sloc determination and i have set maximum number of split unlimitted.
for example in MFBF i need 50 PC Raw Material
My stock in SLoc 1000 is 40 PCS
My stock in SLoc 2000 is 200 PCS
I configure the sloc determination like this
    1. F 1000
    2. F 2000
Nut in MFBF component always withdraw from 2000 with 50 (full quantity) although i set maximum number of split maximum
I tried batch determination before and it split.
Did i miss something so the system can split the quantity along sloc automatically
    Please throw a light:D
    Best regards,
    Freddy Ha

    Hi,
    1)
Normally in the rem for backflush just u have to enter the product and qty then system will automatically reduces the planned order.
But in situation if planned order is not reducing then please check ur REM profile in the "control data2" tab
In this which one u have select for the planned order reduction.
    2)
Regarding stock determination, create stock determination rule thr' T CODE:OXPS.
Here u have to create stock determination rule first from which storage location material should be picked, depending upon the priority.
Assign this stock determination rule in the material master or in the REM profile "Control data2 " tab.
Then system will automatically pick the material depending upon the stock determination rule.
    Regards
    Vijay

  • Difference between component & assembly backflush

Hi Gurus.....Could some one please explain what exactly makes the difference between a component & assembly backflush in REM. Also can some one explain if the assembly backflush would be applicable only for a single level or multi level BOM components?
    Naveen

    Dear alapati naveen
    1. Assembly backflush - GR(131) & GI(261) & activities will get posted (If in REM profile check box for
post activities is included means) and a material document will be generated. This is the normal
    backflush used for production confirmation.
    2. Component backflush - Only 261 movement for the component's will be taking place and a material
document will be generated and no GR or no activities will be posted. This will be used for posting extra
consumption of component's than the planned one.
