Bakup did not start at the scheduled time?????

Hi all
Yesterday I scheduled my backup as usual at 1:00am and to my surprise the logs showed me that the backup was started at 9:30am in the morning............
In the morning when I tried to login I could not, I saw the status of the database it was shut down so I manually started the database which caused the backup that was started at 9:30am(which i could not see that it was running) terminated with errors.....................
Can any one please tell me how come the backup did not start at the scheduled time. However the backup of the next day was sucessfull.

Hello Jaipal,
I suspect that an 'sapdba' session or 'brspace' session was active on the OS level.
Some user must have kept this session active knowingly or unknowingly.
The offline backup was waiting for the active session to complete / end.
The session probably was ended / terminated around 9:30 am
(Maybe the user terminated the sapdba / brspace session at 9:30 in the morning after resuming the office work)
The backup started as soon as the sapdba / brspace session was terminated / ended.

    Per my understanding that you can't get the expect result by using the expression "=Count(Fields!TICKET_STATUS.Value=4) " to count the the TICKET_STATUS which value is 4, the result will returns the count of all the TICKET_STATUS values(206)
    but not 180, right?
    I have tested on my local environment and can reproduce the issue, the issue caused by you are using the count() function in the incorrect way, please modify the expression as below and have a test:
    =COUNT(IIF(Fields!TICKET_STATUS.Value=4 ,1,Nothing))
    or
    =SUM(IIF(Fields!TICKET_STATUS=4,1,0))

    The process chain failed while activating the ODS with an error message :Process 000004 did not confirm within the permitted time period" . When repeated the failed step it went successufull. but want to know what can be the cause and steps to be taken in order to avoide this issue further.

    Hi,
    Whenever ODS activation goes there'll be some batch processes you can say as parallel processes running along with main job. Due to unavailability of resources i.e either bkgd or dialog processes soemtimes gets delayed and they gets canceled which leads to the failure of main ODS activation job...
    may be in ur scenario the same thing might have happened, so when you had repeated the step if the resources are free it will be successful.
    once chk in your system for canceled jobs, ther might be some job which relates to your process.

    right now I have my USRPs connected with a MIMO cable, and both are connected to my laptop with a gigabit switch.
    currently, when I'm tring to run the VI without the clock source, there is this error:
    niUSRP initiate.vi<ERR>The reference clock PPL did not lock within the alloted time.

    Sorry for the late reply, I did not have access to the lab over the weekend. 
    Yes I am uing HW configuration 1.  i set my IPs for the Txs and Rxs (4 NI 2921 boards), set the symbol rate, and appropriate IQ sampling rate. I then set the Tx element 1 Ref Frequency Source and timbase clock to internal. and for element 2 to be MIMO. I do the same for the Rx element 1 and element 2 as mentioned in the white paper. I set an appropriate carrier freq according to my machine (shown in snapshot below)
    I then run the code, and the error shown in the picture shows up. Apparently, the error code is not recognized. I also show a picture of the error recorded on the front panel (which is the actual error, that needs to looked at). I then re-wire the error out in the block diagram to be connected to the last block in the chain 'Calculate BER VI' (shown in the 3rd picture below) which was previously not the case. Now i rerun the VI, and the error showing up in the block diagram is gone but the error mentioned on the front panel is still there (which is normal becuase i have not changed anything important in the block diagram). 
    I look up this error 'Error -107411864 - A stream command was issued in the past' and find this NI-known issues document: http://www.ni.com/product-documentation/52445/en/ 
    And I see this error there. ID number 467209 (corresponding to the above error) . In this it states:
    This error occurs when you set Timebase Clock Source to PpsIn and do not provide a timebase clock source to the PPS IN port.
    If you set Timebase Clock Source to PpsIn and do not provide a timebase clock source to PPS IN, the USRP device will revert back to its internal timebase clock source. This may result in error -1074118649 "A stream command was issued in the past."
    Since I have not even setup the configuration on the front panel using the Ref_in and PPS_in (i have actually set them to internal) why am i still getting this error. 
    I also looked at the ID number '466351' in the same list (right below the prev one) and find out that also seems to be fine since not all of the follwing conditions are being met:
    The slave device has a GPSDO.
    The niUSRP Set Time VI is called only on the master.
    The timestamp is applied immediately.
    as mentioned in the description. 
    And since, there is a clear conflict between the white paper configuration designed for this 2x2 scheme (HW configuration 1) and the actual HW configuration corresponding to this same white paper (HW configuration 2), how can i expect the code to run without the Refi_in and PPS_in for all 4 devices (for sync between Transmitters and Recievers) which seems to important for this code to run properly. 
    I do not understand this error either 'A stream command was issued in the past' since i have not found a soultion to it online. 
    Now can you elaborate on what seems to be a conflict and elaborate on this error, which has been reported on other threads as well but the NI people do not seem to bother to respond as to why this is so.

  • Mac mini would no longer start at the scheduled time

    hi,
    since about a week or so, my mac mini no longer automatically starts at the time i've scheduled [which can be specified under "energy saving" (?*) in "system preferences" (?*)]
    but so far it does power up "manually" after presing the power butten several times.
    any ideas on what could be wrong here?
    *sorry if i might not be using the correct english terms, since i'm not using an english version of os x 10.4.7, but german os x. (neither is english my first language).
    btw: if anyone knows of a (free, easily available) source (such as an english manual of os x tiger) where i could find the english equivalents for the terms used in the german version of the os - pls lemme know!

  • Photoshop Elements does not start for the second time

    our customer has problem with PS Elements 12. He can start it for the first time and everything works fine. But when he closes the program and tries to start it again, it will not start. It doesnt even say anything. No error mesages or anything. He tried to instal a trial version of PS E 13 and it does the same thing.
    He's running Win 7 SP1 64 bit

    Most people have overcome the problem by creating a shortcut direct to the two main applications.

    Hi hope someone can help as this problem has stumped me. I cannot get ICHAT to even start having migrated all applications via Migration Assistant from a Macbook to a Macbook Pro. Everything else seems to work fine except when I run ICHAT and follow setup I get to a final screen which locks without showing a DONE button to complete the setup process! I have reloaded OS X, downloaded the OS X Combo OSand tried that, deleted the app and started again just in case but to no avail. Can anyone help? The application worked fine on the old Macbook but not on this machine.

    Try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that book and use the 'Report a Problem' link and fill in details about the problem (iTunes support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours).
    If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work (it's been taking some people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption.

    PROBLEM - Job is running in every 15 minutes as per user_jobs but rows are not deleteing from the test table whose created time is more then 30 minutes from systimestamp. Even the views are not having logs of any job run.
    Checked the queries and run the job Manually using dbms_job.run.. gives correct output and deletes the row.
    Please suggest where is the problem and how I can correct it.

    I have found solution for this. Dont use Systimestamp in the DML's if using in a job (scheduled).
    There is a statement in procedure del_test_info_p
    delete from test where ((created_at+30/1440)<systimestamp);
    Here usage of systimestamp restricting that procedure to execute.
    Create procedure as -
    CREATE OR REPLACE procedure del_test_info_p is
    tstamp timestamp;
    begin
    select systimestamp into tstamp from dual;
    delete from test where ((created_at+30/1440)<tstamp);
    commit;
    end del_test_info_p;

    The issue is when a USER tries to open a program, and it's mapped to a network drive T:\fixedast\app.exe they get the tittle error message. If i log in as admin, it opens up just fine. Ideas? The user can remote desktop to the RDS server and open the application
    correctly. I'm a bit lost. Ideas?

    Thank you for posting in Windows Server Forum.
    Have you created any batch file for user to run the program?
    Based on my research, the problem which you are facing is caused because the program is hosted on or depends on a network mapped drive. When starting a RemoteApp the program doesn’t wait till the logon script is finished but just start the program directly
    and cannot find the right drive or program. To work around this issue you can create a batch file as RemoteApp so you can first map the network drive and then start the program. 
    Apart you can check whether user has rights for mapped drive or they are not missing the mapped drive. Refer below article for more information.

    from one of the Egypt - Cairo area based Exam center.
    the exam did not start. The Pearson system started asking some Authorization code
    which the center person doesn't know
    The system In PearsonVUE.com doesn't let me reschedule or Cancel the same exam.
    Please I want to try taking the exam from different center.

    1) Read that thread:
    2) Ensure you have an incident number from Pearson VUE.
    3) I suggest don't try to rebook this yourself, Pearson VUE may be best to do it. They may need to see what the issue was with the first test and clear that down first.

    Contact Pearson via ( http://pearsonvue.com/oracle/contact/ ) or ( http://pearsonvue.com/contact/emea/customerservice/) ... and ensure they give you an incident number.
    If on the telephone use ( www.pearsonvue.com/oracle/locate ) to locate alternatives test centers so they can rebook it for you easily over the phone which Pearson will often do.

    Occurred while executing line 5 of valid BeanShell script:

    I've checked the dgraph1 logs and i don't see any difference than usual logs - like what i had yesterday.

    "Shutting down dgraph (pid=17398)"
    It had been running well as daily scheduled job since last 1 week.
    it has very small data to be indexed, just few MB.
    I've checked main application log, dgraphs logs, forge logs just in case, and process.0.log in PlatformServices. I don't see any useful detailed information to find out what causes this issue.
    And there was no locked flag on the application.
    to resolve this issue, i just started the Dgraph1 from Workbench and run the baseline update to make sure if it does not fail again. it ran well.
    But i'm wondering why... it happened.
    Can anyone kindly tell me the possible cause or where i can find out the root cause?

    Julia,
    After you issue the start command (either as part of a baseline update or with a runcommand.sh Dgraph1 start), you should see your Dgraph1.log file (in [your_app_folder]/data/dgraphs/Dgraph1/) get updated with information related to dgraph startup.
    You should look there to see if your dgraph is actually starting in the 2 minute timeframe, the dgraph is up when you see the following line:
    pid=[SOME_NUMBER] listening for HTTP connections on port [SOME_NUMBER] at [SOME_DATE_TIME]
    If you don't see that, there is either an error starting the dgraph (you should see that in the same log file) or an error sending the command to start the dgraph (port 8888 not open, EAC Agent not running on the MDEX server, etc.).
    If you do see a successful message starting the dgraph, it's likely that the EAC Central Server (i.e. likely where you ran the command) was not able to determine that the dgraph started. It usually does this by issuing an admin?op=ping to the dgraph port so it's likely that port 15000 (or whereever your dgraph is running) is blocked between those two servers.
    Hopefully, that's enough for you to go on.

    To my surprise, the exam did not start. The Pearson system started asking some Authentication code which the center person doesn't know. I was really upset of not being able to appear for the exam I prepared (you know the mindset of a test taker).
    I started following up with the Pearson Vue Customer care, they have created an incident and so far there has been no progress on this.
    The system doesn't let me reschedule or book the same exam. I want to try taking the exam from different center.
    The help from PearsonVue customer care is very average, I really oracle to intervene.
    Need help from the certification moderator.

    Jay.Its good if you have an incident number, in general you can reply and ask if they can escalate this.
    (This the test center or you raise the incident, and do you have the incident number ? (if not get it) ).
    There has been a weekend, and in some places it was a holiday yesterday. (Probably not canada you will tell me).
    A Pearson VUE representative should be able to reschedule this for you. If you ask nicely enough they might (or might not) help with costs if you give a sob story about time wasted, money wasted, stress ....
    The key work is to request to ESCALATE the incident xxxxx.
    ( It may be that is a test center incident and they are trying to sort the test centers issues .... you need an incident to get a re-test which may be different (but related) ).
    ( I once had a failed test, and they were able to reschedule it for me somehwere else in 2hrs .... (where is also failed !!!! ).
    Pearson VUE will also need to be sure the problem is cleared before they reschedule you.
    ( In general they sort of come somewhat good in the end ... usually ).

    For me it sounds like a software problem.
    I mean if you have installed XP, nobody knows which drivers you have installed and applications. Everything could cause this issue and in this case you have to search for a solution yourself.
    If you install the OS from Toshiba recovery disk and everything works properly, its not a hardware malfunction and not an issue of Toshiba.
