Bal.Sheet and Profit and report in New GL

Hi All,
I am trying to execute the Financial Statements Query (0FIGL_V10_Q0001) which is based on the Virtual cube 0FIGL_V10. The issue is I am unable to see any data when I execute the Query. I tried other queries too based on the 0FIGL_V10 cube but no data is displayed when the query is executed. I loaded data into the 0FIGL_C10 & the Hierarchy too for Financial Statement Item Infoobject (0GLACCEXT). I can see data in the queries based of 0FIGL_C10 & 0FIGL_R10 & they execute OK . But no data for queries baes of 0FIGL_V10 & 0FIGL_V11 Cubes. Can anyone please let me know if I am missing out on any steps?

Thanks Ashok, i already read that thread & researched on SDN too but I still cannot see any data when i try to execute the virtual cube queries.

Migration of the User exits and reports to new ECC 6.0 from 4.6c

Hello Everyone,
we have lot of user exits and menu exits in 4.6c system... now we are implementing new ECC6.0 without much changes in Business process(as is)... my question is...is it possible to bring all the user exits reports and smartforms to new ECC6.0 using some transport mechanism...or do we need to copy and paste(upload and download) from the old system....

The structure of the profit center report in new GL

Hello,
I must finish a query for the customer this week. This query must base on a sap standard report for the new GL.
Because our ECC 6.0 system hasn't the Enhancement Package 3 (contains the necessary new features) yet, so I can't see this standard report which should be displayed under the path:
SAP Menu --> Accounting --> Financial Accounting --> General Ledger --> Information System --> General Ledger Reports (New) --> Profit Center Reports --> S_E38_98000088 - Profit Center Group: Plan/Actual/Variance
Can somebody tell me the structure of this report, if you can see this report in your system?
- Which key figure has been used in the report?
- What are in the rows and columns?
- Which characteristics are available to navigation?
- Which variables and General data selections are there?

Hi,
Then my suggesion is you copy the form & report structure of most suitable report (which you have downloaded through FGIQ) .Modify the form according to your reporting requirement. Create new report by coping standard report & assign this newly created form to this report.This will serve your purpose.
Please do not make any changes to standard report.Copy it & then do the changes.
Transaction code for the same is FGI0 or FGI1 or FGI2 or 3 or 4 or 5 or FGI6.
Second suggestion is in SPRO in GL information system (infact in each information system ) you will find drilldown report node in that import report transaction e.g. FSIQ .Import all reports you might get your required report.

Profit Center reports in New GL

Hello!
We are implementing document splitting based on profit centers in our customer.
One of the advantages will be to have financial reporting based on profit centers and groups.
However I don't see any financial statement reports where I can use Profit Center Groups as a selection screen, and neither as an Output. (I was expecting to have something like the results by hierarchy branch...).
Does any of you know about this type of reports?

HI,
You can view the financial statement results through PCA wise under F.01 click on dynamic selections and give the profit center. OR other wise use this transaction ;s_plo_86000028.

The PLO reports are very much available there under New General Ledger reports. You can look into the following reports.
S_PLO_86000028, S_PLO_86000029, S_PLO_86000030, S_PLO_86000031, S_PLO_86000032

Photoshop plugin/script to have it read and create a new file from an excel file?

I do prepress and cover design for our book manufacturing company. I have made a tool that I input book specs into and it tells me the exact size of the photoshop document I need to create for an accurate book cover layout. It calculates total width, height, spine placement and spine width, bleeds, and even where to place the adobe guides in the document.
I've always book toggling back and forth on my mac to get the measurements etc while I am designing a cover. What I want to know is if there is a way this can all be automated.
I know photoshop supports scripting and plugins but I have not found anything remotely along the lines of what I am looking for. If I could get this process automated somehow my workflow and productivity would shoot through the roof!
In short I am looking for a script/plugin for Adobe photoshop CS3 that can read from an excel sheet and create a new document based on the specifications in that excel file.
Does anyone know if this is already out there? Or if it can be done? I would certainly invest in this.

It's something that is very easy to do using applescript (scripting excel through excel applescript dictionary, i have used it for a projet, found it usefull for the scenario i was working with, but it was incredibly slow.. same thing in Realbasic when driving application through automation.
Depending on the number of record that need to be processed (if you dont have to fetch data in different tabs) it's often better to have a "pre-process" to save the excel file as a CSV and using any other solution to process the text file. Can make a HUGE difference in processing time...
You will surely be able to find a professional to help you with this task if you willing to pay for custom developpement.

How to apply modified UI Defaults to existing forms and reports?

Hi all--
I've been struggling with UI defaults and after searching through posts in this forum, it doesn't look like I'm alone.
Is there a way to apply changes made to UI defaults to existing forms and reports? New forms and reports pick up the changes, but can they by applied retoactively?

We have a develpment 10g AS environment setup made,
1) But we are really confused how to present the forms and reports.
We have around 250 forms and reports running on client/server architecture. All these forms/reports have been copied to a fileshare and access control is restricted by folder security.
2) How to deploy forms - entries within formsweb.cfg with Named Configuration sections.
3) How to deploy reports, as to were to copy the .rep files.

Profit center group wise balance sheet and trading account report req

We are using Profit ceter accounting for one of our clients.its ECC 6.0 therefore New GL is activated. FSV is not configured.
Now I want to get the reports - Profit center group wise balance sheet and trading a/c.
Can anyone help me in this regard.

the std reports S_PL0_***** serve the purpose... You can browse SAP easy access menu under FI
you can input PC or a group of PC as additional selection criteria

Balance sheet and Profit & Loss reports

Hi all
I need some help with the Balance sheet and Profit and Loss statement, I created new fields on both repors to hide the "ZAR" and round the amount fields to 2 decimal places.
But when ever I print preview the report I get this error :-

NEW GL and PROFIT CENTER REPORT

Hi,
In New GL ( ECC6) the profit center is also available in GL itself. Under this situatrion Profit center data is flowing to Controlling.
Previousl we take Profit center report from 8 series Library and use it for report painter.
Now what is the library to be used for report painter for generating Profit center reports with drill down functionality like Cost center report from COntolling module.
Is it necessary that we have configure in CO module lo to get the Profit center so that we can generate the Profit center report more user friendly reports.
What is the route to be followed to enable the users to check ther B/S on Profit center.

I am in ECC 6 and the New GL report gives Profi center report . But I ca get the comfort like 8A ledger with drill down.
My doubt is will the new GL report takes care of all CO related transactions w/o GL?

tcode- GR53, GR55
Enter report group SL01.
Choose Execute.
Enter report group SL01 again, and then choose .
Enter the following data: current year, period 01-12, company code,ledger and plan version

For a company which is based in Vietnam, it is required that Balance Sheet and Profit Loss Account is reported in the Local Language Vietnamese.

1) Not all balance sheet require profit center. correct? Only vendor, customer, material, asset only?
2) Why vendor also require profit center?
3) May I know why balance sheet items require profit center? Normally p&l items with profit center which deriving from cost center.

Hi dear,
Earlier SAP was using business area. But it was not able to derive correct balance sheet.
So to resolve this new gl is implemented. It has a unique feature of Balancing GL. Here when the debit and credit line items has different profit center, it creates a additional line items with apposite effect to profit center. So u r profit center wise balance sheet always tally.
Basically all expenses are related to cost and hence they are recorded in cost center. If you ask me before coming to sap I use to use profit center to group cost center for internal reporting. But sap derives profit center balance sheet where expense comes from cost center to profit center and balance sheet accounts are assigned to profit center.
