Bank Statement management in SAP B1 on a VMWare Windows 2008 server

Hi everybody,
One of our customer is using a VMWare Windows 2008 server with SAP B1.
Actual version of Business One is SBO 2007A PL 00 PL 15 (SQL Server 2005).
Since the installation of this server using VMWare, we encouter problems using the SAP B1 Integration Platform for the process of the bank statements.
Everything including bank statements transfer was working very fine on a "real" server before new implementation.
When trying to open the Integration Platform Control Center on the server, we now receive the following message regarding JAVA.
"JAVA Virtual Machine Launcher : could not find the main class : program will exit."
JAVA is well installed on the VMWare server.
We have searched for a solution on the Web and it seems that JAVA and VMWare are not compatible. Does anybody have any information about that ?
Does anybody already have this problem with Integration Platfom on VMWare server ?
Is there a solution to our problem ?
Thanks for all your contributions.
Best regards.
Michel

Hi Michel,
First of all, your PL is too low.  AFAIK, the first supported PL for 2007A SP00 is PL30.  You may upgrade your PL first to see if that is a bug or not.
Thanks,
Gordon

  • Wily Enterprise Manager Service not Started in Windows 2008 Server

    Hi All,
Our Solution Manager is in EHP1 SP21 and OS-Windows 2008 Server.
We installed Wily Enterprise Manager 8.0. and found 1 non-fatal error in the installation log. The service is not starting.
However it works fine for Windows 2003 Server.
Can anyone encountered with the same kind of problem?

    2. Windows Server 2008 is not yet officially supported by CA Wily for the Enterprise Manager. If you want to install the Enterprise Manager anyway, set the "Windows 2003 compatibility mode" for the installer before launching it. To activate this mode, right click on the installer.exe file in the Windows Explorer, select tab "Compatibility", activate the check box for compatibility mode and select Windows 2003. If you do not set this, the installer will consider your OS as Unix and install shell scripts (no suffix) instead of batch files (.bat) and leave out some files for Windows Service registration.
If the windows service still fails to start please check if files ServiceWrapper.jar and ServiceWrapper.dll are present in folder lib. If not download them from attachment of this note.
The service should start although giving an error message regarding the ServiceWrapper.dll. You can ignore this error.

  • Error connecting to the SAP SRV on Windows 2008 Server platform

    Hi All
We have a problem with one of our clients they bought a new sbs windows server 2008 and we loaded sql 2005 and sap b1 SP01 PL07.
When we did the SBO install we experience connection issues and we created odbc connection on the server using named pipes and tcp/ip (used both server name and Ip address).
We also configured the server in configuration manager and we managed to login and solved the slow system connection issue. We also created odbc connection on the client machines. (Machine are on a workgroup and users have administration access on all machines),we also installed native client on all machines.
After the first batch of client installs we managed to have connection, they were other computers which were left out during the first client install and now the client want to do the remaining machines connected to SBO. On every machine that we install now we get the same error :-
    *Connection failed:
    SQLState:'08001'

Please help as most user who need access can't login and they are the main users.

    Hi Eric,
yes we are using Windows 2008 SBS for the SAP EHP4 FOR SAP ERP 6.0/NW7.01 installation.
we tried to create the key but it says access is denied.
Actual thing is we got the server with Windows 2008 server 64 bit SBS (standard FE) with Domain Controller (DC) configuration.
We have removed the DC using dcpromo to convert into Wokgroup and tried the SAP installation.
I hope you got the idea and please let me know any further suggestions or it is the problem with the license.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Windows 2008 Server R2 & SAP Business One

Does anyone have any experience, good or bad, with SAP Business One and Terminal Service on Windows 2008 Server R2?  We are finding a number of issues with this configuration and we are looking for any feedback that is out there.
Here is the situation - our customer is running SAP Business One v2007 SP01 PL09 Hotfix4 on a Windows 2008 Server R2 machine.  All users (15 max) access SBO via Terminal Service to this machine, which also holds the databases (SQL Server 2005).  The machine currently has 20GB of RAM.
    What we are finding is:
    1) When any process related to SBO (SBO core or add-ons) consumes some portion of memory, none of that memory is ever released back to the O/S until SBO is completely closed.  So over the course of a day each user ends up simply consuming more and more memory as forms are opened for transactions.  While we do see this in Windows 2003 Server to some extent, at least some memory is released when a given form is closed.
    2) Once the system hits a point where around 75% of RAM is consumed the users start seeing application "hangs" and are forced to manually terminate SBO (via Task Manager) and restart.  There doesn't seem to be any paging or use of virtual memory (if my terms are right) in use.
    3) If the system is busy and a new window/form is opened the new window immediately (within one or two seconds) presents the "Not Responding" message on the new window.  Depending on the circumstances the application is simply waiting for resources and will continue opening normally.
I would appreciate feedback from anyone who has experience with Windows 2008 Server R2; and especially using it for Terminal Services.  My personal feeling is that it is a platform that should be avoided but we would certainly like to hear what other folks have to say.

I believe the supporting of this OS is still on Planned basis.  You may check with SAP support to give them a good user case to fight with any non-compatible issues.

  • Error: SAP installation of ERP Sr3 with ORACLE 10g on Windows 2008 server

    Dear all,
while installaing SAP ERP SR3 with ORACLE 10g on windows 2008 server...
we are getting error as not support.
please confirm wether this version of OS is uspported or not.
    thanking you in all,
    by
    Animesh

actualy we tried to change Oraparam.ini file in the installation folder...
    edited ...  windows= 5.0, 5.1, 6.0
    we had entered 6.0
    Yes - that is necessary.
and started ... but after starting we are getting ERROR like unKNOWN and installation popup (OUI popup) exiting with .. error popup.
Yes - because Oracle delivers its own Java version - which is too old to run on Windows 2008.
if you suggest us to use 2003 64 bit for temporaray .... purpose.
and is there any specified procedure to UPgrade OS.
like... DB should be updated before OS upgradation.
You can run 10.2.0.4 on Windows 2003 x64 nicely and upgrade to Windows 2008. Since there is no "upgrade" (it is the highest version supported) there´s no need to do anything.
The question you have to ask is:
Why do you need Windows 2008? Is there any technical implication?

  • SAP MT940 bank statement interface to SAP

    Dear expert,
We plan to integrate the bank statement in SAP MT940 format to SAP. Can you please kindly share if you have any information on how to configure the SAP for uploading the SAP MT940 format?
The configuration guide that I have is : FI Electronic Bank Statement from SAP R/3; based on this guide the recommended bank statement format is in Multicash Format.
Thank you very much in advance for your kind assistance.
    Best regards,
    DTan

    Hi Tan,
Based on the external transaction type, you will link to the posting rules. Yes there are so many subfields, available if you see 61 fields, it tells you about the payment you have received/made, it gives the line item details of a particular transaction.
My sincere request is dont look at the bank statement and do the configuration. Do the configuration first and then SAP provides one program RFEBKATX. Using this program you can create a bank statement file and customer line items. Once after bank statement file is created you can import it using FF_5 and if your configuration is not properly made, it will let you know where you are missing. But this program will generate bank statement file in multi cash. How ever if your configuration is correct and if you are able to import bank statement, then there will not be any difficulty in importing MT 940.
    Hope you understood.

  • Electronic bank statement upload to SAP....?

    HI experts,
plz can any body pass some inputs on electronic bank statement.
we have received the electronic statement from bank recently and want to upload it to SAP.
we try to use the TCODE: FF_5 to import the statement.
but in that tcode need to specify the statement file and line item files.
actually whatu2019s that files mean ..Where we have to generate those two files from the existed electronic bank statement wt we received fromt the bank.
and those file should be in which format...?
plz advise i have not worked on the electronic bank statement before....
i have done all the related configuration settings in the system... i have assigned the external transaction type MC ( multi cash format) to My bank Key in the config.
if u have any documentation and file formats please send i to me to sandhya.rani at issconsulting.net
    thank you very much...
    Sandhya Reddy.

    Hi Sandhya,
For this you need to do a lot off customizing and testing, perhaps to imlement an user exit.
When you have activated EA-FIN you have more options.
The setup is different by country, bank, record format,.
Have a look in customing and click on help. There are some examples available.
SPRO: Financial Accounting /Bank Accounting/ Business Transactions /Payment Transactions /Manual Bank Statement
The first step is to look to your bank statements from the last year and write down all possible cases and how you post it. (Like customer invoice, bank transaction code XXX in the text you will found the invoice number, bank costs, interest, slaery payments,......)
Based on this you can set-up the rule's (customizing - User exit)

  • How can add electronic bank statement format into SAP?

    Hi there,
As far as know, SAP allows to add new EBS format in ff_5.
where should i go for this in IMG?
    Thanks in advance.
    J.

    Sorry,.,.
No that's not what i meant.
In FF_5, WE CAN CHOOSE FORMAT OUT OF "Elect. bank statement format".
Currently SAP shows MUTICASH, SWIFT94O something like that.
If i want to add new type of format like MT990, HOW TO DISPLAY ON "Elect. bank statement format" POSSIBLE ENTRY IN FF_5?
Hope it;s more clear to expalin.

  • Management Portal 8.5.2 Installation in Windows 2008

    Hi,
I am experiencing a problem with Management Portal version 8.5.2. when I try to install this in windows 2008 R2 SP1 64 Bit server iam getting error stating that " Un supported Operating system and installer combination"
    Supported combinations are:
    32bit OS - 32 bit Vim.
    64bit OS - 64 bit Vim
    Currently running:
    64bit OS
    32bit process
    64bit Vim build
    .........aborting the install run
Did any one face these kind of issues.....
    Thanks in advance....
    Karthik

I experienced the same issue. This is how I resolved it.
    Check all pre-requisites .NET 3.5 Feature / Application Server Role with IIS / JRE 6u11 x64 / ASP .NET 2.0 AJAX Extension 1.0 / WSE 2.0 SP3 Runtime / SQL 2005 / SQL 2005 SP4 / SQL2005 SMO x64 - note X64 versions.
Ensure that the software install is either from the CD or a mapped drive that presents the software like a CD i.e. Y:\autorun.bat
Right click Y:\autorun.bat and select Run As Administrator - make sure it is the autorun.bat and not autorun.hta - windows helpfully hides the extension by default.
    Hope this helps someone else.
    Regards.

  • Install SAP GUI 7.20 on Windows terminal server

    Hi,
I would like to install SAP GUI 7.20 on a Windows Terminal Server and configure it so that all users on the terminal server share a common configuration. As the installation is now all users have to define the systems in GUI the first time they start it, but I would like to do this globally. Is this possible?
    Best regards,
    Thor-Egil

    > estimated 20 or more users who will be using the WTS to do their specific transaction. How much ram do we need to put in the WTS to handle 20 or more users?
This depends on what the users will do on that system. I suggest you contact the hardware vendor for a sizing of the machine.
    > and follow up question, do you recommend using terminal servers?
It's an easy way to centralize the administration, you have got only one SAPGui installation.
