BAPI_COSTCENTERGROUP_CREATE not adding Cost centers to group

Hello,
I am using BAPI_COSTCENTERGROUP_CREATE to add/delete Cost Centers from a group by passing Controlling Area, Group name and Cost centers in HIERARCHYVALUES table.
Though the BAPI successfully deletes existing Cost centers from the group, while adding, it gives error message that 'This function is not allowed in the standard hierarchy'
If anyone has worked with this BAPI before or faced a similar error, kindly revert.
Thanks in advance.

Shubha Tripathi.

  • GRR3 report is not showing cost centers monthly wise totals

    Hi,
      we are having cost center report for full year company code currency report which was working in R3 system. after upgrade it is not showing monthly wise total currency values but when drill down it to actual line item level it is showing all totals. can anybody hlep me to identy issue.
    Thanks,

    Dear Venu
    Check any other standard summarisation report and see whether they are giving data or not. If not you need to implement note 1817039 to fetch summarisation data. But before that I suggest once again you do data collection upto the period and try running your report.If no success then read the note and apply it.

  • KB21N, KB11N:how to restrict by cost centers users can post to

    Hello Gurus,
    SAP is not restricting  Cost centers  which can used for internal activity allocation KB21N  and re-posting of primary cost KB11N.
    Users should only be able to post to the authorized cost centers with the standard hierarchy.
    Unfortunately KBXXN transactions are not checking K_CCA authorization object , which other-wise could have been used to restrict user based on responsiblity area ( cost center group)
    Any one came across this scenario, i check all relevant OSS notes related to KB21N . Let me know if i missed any OSS notes
    regards
    SAPfreek

    Hi,
    If you start the transaction KB**N (including KB11N)  you can only use restrictions on the controlling area by using the authority
    object "K_VRGNG". (Please review T-cd:SU24 for the transaction)
    The authority objects "K_CCA" and "K_ORDER" allows to use restrictions on single cost centers and orders but these two authority objects are not checked if you use one of the transactions KB**N It's not possible to use any other restriction than the controlling area for one of the above transactions.
    There are two possibilities to extend the authorization checks in KB**N:
    a) using the validation tool:
       An validation is nothing more than a check whether some customized   conditions are fullfilled or not. If not, the system will send a   self defined message ( Error, Warning, Information ).
       You can find some explanation about validations in our documenation   and in the reference - IMG under:
       Controlling - Controlling General -  Account Assignment Logic.
    b) using the user-exit (Enhancement COCCA002 and COCCA001)
       See note 375725 for additional information
    The enhancement is called up by function module K_ORGUNIT_AUTHORITY_CHECK. Because the standard authorization object
    K_ORGUNIT does not at that point have any fields, this enhancement is the only one executed.
    Please also review  note 370082 for information on the concept of the responsibility area in authorization.

  • Depreciation posting for two different Cost Centers

    Hello everybody,
    My client has an asset that was assigned to Cost Center #1 from the 1st of january to the 20th. Then it was reassigned to Cost Center #2. (Cost Center is configured to be a time dependent field).
    We were expecting the system to split the depreciation amount into these two Cost Centers at the end of the month. Apparently we were expecting too much. The depreciation amount is going completely to Cost Center #2 wich is incorrect.
    Do you think that there is something missing in the configuration? Or SAP just does not split the depreciation amount according to the time intervals? If that is impossible, do you have any alternative solutions?
    Thanks a lot,
    Plácido

    Distribution of Depreciation and Interest
    It is only possible to enter one cost center in the asset master record. You distribute depreciation and interest to different cost centers using settlement within Controlling (CO). The cost center in the asset master record then serves the function of a distribution cost center.
    The disadvantage of this approach is that reports show only the distribution cost center, and not the cost centers that are actually debited. Also, you need to create a separate cost center for the distribution.
    A different approach is to follow this procedure:
    ·        Determine the cost center that you want to be shown in asset reports as the cost center of the asset. Enter this cost center in the asset master record.
    ·        Enter an internal order in the asset master record. The system then posts to this order when it posts depreciation. The system does not post to the cost center.
    ·        Settle the internal order to the cost centers that you want to debit.

  • Controlling without Cost Centers

    My current client has business processes that means the use of internal orders as permanent cost collectors with no settlement meets its requirements better than cost centers.
    Has anyone ever known of an implementation that uses controlling but does not use cost centers, if not cant anyone see any issues?
    Thanks
    Steve

    Hi,
    I was once in a project, which did not use cost centres. Technically, it's possible and there is no problem with this approach, but functionally, I'd recommend to use one dummy cost centre anyway.

  • Cost Centers Group in authori

    Hi experts,
    I need to build an authorize roles in CO using the Cost Centers Group because in this way we want to limit the visualization for department (example the Cost Center Group for Purchasing....ext.).
    Is there a solution for our needs or a role for to limit the Cost Center Group?
    Thanks in advance!
    Regards,
    Gaetano

    Hi,
    you can use  the authorization object K_CCA.  You have maintain the cost center group in the tab 'Authoriz.Hier of
    the CO_OM Responsibility Area.  In that case, the user will have the authorization for all cost center of the group.
    The tab "Cost Center Group" is only valid for the group NAME.
    You can find further helpful information in the notes 370082 and 15211.

  • How to delete cost/profit centers and groups

    I am looking for a way to mass delete profit centers, cost centers, profit center groups and cost center groups. KS14 and 0ke2 works for centers but not groups. Are there any other t-codes or function modules?

    Hi,
    There is no mass transaction to delete the groups; you have to do it one by one. You can 'record' CATT case, if you have big quantity of them.

  • OKEOK: in which table can I see a certain Group and its Cost Centers ?

    Hi All,
    with reference to the Standard Hierarchy for Cost Centers (OKEON) , could anyone tell me in which SAP table i can find the Cost Centers associated to a certain Group?
    Thanks a lot for your help.

    Moderator: Please, search SDN; this question has been asked several times on the forum

    Hi,
    all CO groups are stored in tables SETHEADER, SETLEAF, SETNODE. The values assigned to groups are stored in SETLEAF, for cost centre groups: SetClass 0101, SetName: the name of your cost center group (no matter if its standard hierarchy or not).
    Best reards, Christian

  • Copy a group of cost centers from one controlling area to another

    Hello,
    is it possible to copy a group of cost centers from one controlling area to another?
    Or a group of internal orders?
    Thanks
    Jasmina

    No. If you used any upload tools like LSMW, perhaps you may use that for uploading the second controlling area.

  • Users added to Profile Manager not showing up in everyone group

    So profile manager was working quite well until I made a change to the workgroup group.
    I removed the password policy from the workgroup group and added a new group for the password policy so we could essentially still manage non user assigned iOS devices.
    Now when I add a new user to the workgroup group on the server I have them login to the mydevices site so we can enroll the device and they can login but are immediately presented with:
    "You do not have permission to access the page you were looking for. Contact your system administrator."
    In troubleshooting the issue I noticed that new users being added are not showing up the in the everyone group which is preventing the users from having proper access. Prior to all this I could add a user and they would show up in everyone as intended.
    Any thoughts?

    I'm not sure if this is the same issue, but I have a user in Server.app that is not showing up in Users group. She is listed in her sub-group, but I cannot add devices to her account. When I click on the arrow next to her name in the sub-group, it takes me to the Users list to the top user.
    Any thoughts?

  • Report restricted to specific Cost Centers of a cost center group

    Dear Experts,
    can you tell me how to achieve the following goal:
    We want to have a report writer report restricted to one cost center group that can be chosen by the user, but only showing in the first column the cost centers starting with "1049" for example that are part of this group and in the second column the cost centers starting with "1039" that are part of the group and so on.
    As far as I know, if we insert a variable on cost center group, we cannot restrict the cost centers any further ... do you have an idea how to proceed?
    Thank you very much!!
    Thomas

    Try it with two sub groups in your main cost cente group, one for the first column, and on for the second column.

  • Totals for Groups not adding

    Hello,
    I created a report for our Scheduling team here and I thought it was working nicely and someone found  that my totals are not adding up.
    In the Group Header Reset I have:
    WhilePrintingRecords;
    Shared NumberVar PastDue :=0;
    Shared NumberVar Day1Value :=0;
    Shared NumberVar Day2Value :=0;
    Shared NumberVar Day3Value :=0;
    Shared NumberVar Day4Value :=0;
    Shared NumberVar Day5Value :=0;
    Shared NumberVar Day6Value :=0;
    Shared NumberVar Day7Value :=0;
    Shared NumberVar Day8Value :=0;
    Shared NumberVar Day9Value :=0;
    Shared NumberVar Day10Value :=0;
    Shared NumberVar SDay1 :=0;
    Shared NumberVar SDay2 :=0;
    Shared NumberVar SDay3 :=0;
    Shared NumberVar SDay4 :=0;
    Shared NumberVar SDay5 :=0;
    Shared NumberVar SDay6 :=0;
    Shared NumberVar SDay7 :=0;
    Shared NumberVar SDay8 :=0;
    Shared NumberVar SDay9 :=0;
    Shared NumberVar SDay10 :=0;
    Day 1 Values  (Day1Value should hold totals, but it's only holding the last value it seen, Detail Section)
    WhilePrintingRecords;
    Shared NumberVar Day1Value;
    if IsNull({V_SHIP_SCHED.DAY_1}) then 0
    else {V_SHIP_SCHED.DAY_1};
    Day1Value := {V_SHIP_SCHED.DAY_1} + Day1Value;
    Day 1 Totals (Group Footer Section)
    WhilePrintingRecords;
    Shared NumberVar Day1Value;
    Day1Value;
    Not sure why it's happening.  Any ideas?

    Okay found out my Totals in the Group Footer are working, it's just in the detail not working.
    When I do this:
    WhilePrintingRecords;
    Shared NumberVar Day1Value;
    if IsNull({V_SHIP_SCHED.DAY_1}) then 0
    else {V_SHIP_SCHED.DAY_1};
    Day1Value := {V_SHIP_SCHED.DAY_1} + Day1Value;
    it printing out the First line amount being correct but the next line it's adding the first line with the second line and giving it total
    ie:  Customer 1 - Day 1 = 100
         Customer 2 - Day 1 = 200
    Then when printing it doing this:
                             Day 1
    Customer 1     100
    Customer 2     300
    Total               300
    What I need to do this:
                             Day 1
    Customer 1     100
    Customer 2     200
    Total               300
    Thanks.

  • Cost Centers not appearing in the GL Display FAGLL03

    Dear Friends,
    In case of a particular GL Account we find tha the Cost Centers are not getting displayed in the GL Account display. However, when we check the documents, we find that the Cost Centers have been maintained in the document entry. The users have selected the field Cost Center thru Change Layout, but the report still does not show the Cost Centers.
    Could you help and advise what needs to be checked.
    Regards,

    FAGLL03 has many "small" items that do not generate correct results.
    You need to look at alll the applicable notes, including the following:
    946998,1063198,1107639,1113114,1163346,1223997,1332265,1361048,1391665. You may think these do not apply, but they probably represent things you just haven't run into yet.
    Good luck!
