Barnet exchange down for nearly 2 weeks

Anyone else suffering because of this? I haven't had a connection for nearly 2 weeks and BT keep missing deadline after deadline. I'm currently using hot spot which I just found out about, it's slow but better than nothing.

there are no reported faults with your exchange and exchanges are not down for that long other wise there would be over 25000 customers complaining just on that exchange

  • Internet down for three weeks and counting

My Internet service down for three weeks plus. Its cost me hundreds of dollars, we have an internet related business. So disappointed in ATT, poor communication. In this day and age is there really any good reason for service to be down this long.

  • Computer shut down for a week, I am not receiving iMessages I missed from that whole week..

My computer was shut down for a week, during which time my friends sent me a bunch of messages on iMessage. Now that my computer is on I am not receiving any of these missed messages. I think I missed some important messages from people so I really want to know what happened and why I am not receiving them. I checked my email to see if the messages got sent there but there is nothing. Can anyone help?

Instant messaging is not the same as email. If your IM client is not running when the message arrives, it's lost. Ask your friends to send their messages again, or to email them.

  • SQL 2000 Database Maintenance Plan drop downs for days, weeks, months, not displaying

When setting up a SQL 2000 Database Maintenance Plan the drop down for Remove files older than is not populating with hours, days, weeks, or months. It is just blank. The version is  Microsoft SQL Server  2000 - 8.00.2039 (Intel X86)
May  3 2005 23:18:38   Copyright (c) 1988-2003 Microsoft Corporation  Desktop Engine on Windows NT 5.2 (Build 3790: Service Pack 2). Is there a fix for this issue?

This also works. All the credit goes to a user named eyechart.  Great directions provided as well.

    sqlmaint.exe
was missing from MSDE 2000, but that was fixed in SP1 I think. Since this is SP3
you probably have a missing registry value for the backup directory.
    I
had to fix a similar problem last year on a bunch of laptops. They were all
missing a registry value. Anyway, here is the fix:
    1. Fire up regedit and
    look under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSSQLServer\MSSQLServer
    2. Ensure you have
a string value called BackupDirectory. The value for this should be the path to
your backup dir. The default value is C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL
    Server\MSSQL\BACKUP
btw, this fix assumes you have a default instance
installed. A named instance will have slightly different registry location and
    filesystem path.

  • Connect API Down for Nearly 6 Days!

Does anybody else use the Connect API for Connect Pro Hosted?
Our API access has been down for 19 hours now - I have multiple tickets opened with no response.
    -Adam
Update 4/15:  Working on 48 Hours now.  It seems to me that a hosted service that stays down for days at a time may not be such a good deal.
Update 4/16: 3 days of unavailability for a hosted product is unacceptable - by any measure.  Is there any truth the rumors I heard that Adobe is on a company shutdown this week forcing most employees to take mandatory vacations?  If so, this seems like a stupid idea now doesn't it?
Update 4/19: After a 6 day downtime, we were able to get the problem fixed by hunting down an email address from the last time we had a major outage.  Our ticket in the support system still sits, unanswered, for 6 days.  In what world is acceptable for an unplanned outage to last 6 days?

I am somewhat new to the whole api / xml parade.  I type the calls manually to be able to set items outside of a curriculum to be prerequisites for a particular item inside of a curriculum.
Now, all of a sudden, it's not working as expected.  When I rebooted just to check now if I do an "sco-info" call it says resource not found?!
Does this mean the api is down?
What are the obvious symptoms that it's down?

  • Verizon Email service has been down for a week

I heard a rumor that Verizon was falling apart and the company was going to go bankrupt about a month ago. I figured it was just talk. But now with this BIG Internet email debacle I believe it might be true.
What kind of internet company would interrupt their email to all their customers without any kind of warning and then not be able to fix it in a matter of hours; NOT DAYS??
I’ll tell you what kind of a company would do that. A company standing on shaky financial footing, that’s who.
All companies know customers do not like unhappy surprises; like “SURPRISE your Email won’t be working for a week or two. It can only lead one to the belief that the company was trying to pull off a Hail Marry play by updating their system on a hope and a prayer that nothing would go wrong. They had no “fall back” plan?
Some where in a meeting before doing the system update someone had to ask.
    “What if it crashes?”
The only answer I can think of that fits in this type, of SURPRISE it’s broke, situation is:
“We don’t have enough money to set up a dual system to run in tandem in case something goes wrong.”
The conclusion drawn must be that Verizion is without financial backing or broke or they would not put their customers through this kind of business interrupting ordeal.
An other business ploy they might be attempting to pull off would be if they heavily insured the server change over so as they would get paid big bucks if the system update failed.
Either way Verizon must need money more than they need happy customers.
I, for one, will be seeking service elsewhere.

Um... My email is working fine. So obviously not ALL customers.

  • FiOS Phone and Internet down for 2 weeks

Inbound calls: system answers with loud crackling noise, phones ring once. Sometimes the calls get sent directly to voicemail
Outbound calls: fast busy on off-hook, sometimes you can't break dialtone
    Internet service: slows down significantly
The ONT has been replaced at least 5 or 6 times, the router 3 times, and the office equipment once. The problem still recurs even if all the phones in the house have been disconnected.
I believe the problems are  consistent with a high data error rate. This would also explain why Internet is currently working while the phone is offline.Voice traffic is less tolerant of high data error rates, while Internet traffic can tolarate a few dropped packets. This high error rate could be caused by problems with the fibre drop: too small bending radus, contamination, etc.
We thought that there may be a problem with rain getting into some of the fibre splices but the last tech checked and found that all connections were dry.
There have been at least 10 different techs here and they've all come to the same conclusion: that there is a problem with the fibre drop to the house.
Any ideas (before we switch to Comcast)?

I would have to agree the problem lies in the fiber connection.  Since various VZ folks agree do they plan to replace the fiber connection from the pole to the house?  Seems like the next logical step.

  • Live Update down for AMD boards?

Ok it has been down for a week now and I don't know why :( Support is just asking me to reinstall... But the problem clearly isn't in my setup.
Here is pic of how many drivers can Live Update find for me.
Here is the info that Live Update shows to my mainboard.
When I search for AMD boards in Live Update it gives me zero results (at least for all AMD K8 boards), but Intel boards shows just fine.
MSI could you please fix this problem soon?

Sigh... Yet another web drama queen.
LOL He will be back when he has a real issue. We give the best tech support on the web but we can't contol MSI's own website that contains Live Update and their drivers.
I guess some folks never will get it.
Or does he still think that I work for MSI? HeHeHe
Sorry didn't notice at first that this was a USER 2 USER forum...
Won't be back here after this post since I have no need for tech support (can manage my self).

Don't you think that I have installed the drivers alreayd?...
I only posted because they have a bug in their system and it seems that they don't know it themselves.
I already issued this problem to techsupport, but they just asked me to reinstall (even when I said that I had done that allready)...
Gave them a bit more info and hopefully they will understand that the problem is in their servers.

    Thanks LN.
I tried.  It would not download.  A drop down notice said an error had occurred and to return to the purchase page; which I have done on numerous occasions.  (What I am to do on the purchase page I am not sure, other than to click on purchases and see that the same iPhoto download is available.  By the way, this was not purchased.  It just showed up with two other items free items, which did download nicely.)

  • Hacker problems so I reloaded Snow Leopard. Afterwards, Mac had to delete 798 items. Now looping on 4 items to delete for the past 2 weeks. Can't reboot, reload, or restart. I have to let the battery run down for it to turn off. How to fix this, please?

I had hacker problems so I reloaded Snow Leopard. Afterwards, Mac had to delete 798 items. Now it is looping on 4 items to delete for the past 2 weeks. I can't reboot, reload, or restart. I have to let the battery run down for it to turn off. I think a big part of the problem is that someon one the internet (the hacker) was mirroring my hard drive. It seems to have locked up my system. I could be wrong about this guess, though. All I do know is that it is now looping on the last 4 iems, and I can't do anything.
Well, I can get it to turn on, but all it does is continously try to delete the last 4 items. When I try to reload Snow Leopard, it tells me my hard drive is full and that I need to delete items.
Can anyone help? I am so lost without my Mac. I am back on the PC, and though it works, I'm sure many of you will understand when I say it's just not a Mac.
    Thanks.

I installed Snow Leopard using my Apple external Superdrive. I followed directions I found on the Apple site. Here is the article info:  Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard: How to Erase and Install
                     Article HT3910
                     located at: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3910
Everything was going smoothly until I got to the reinstall part. I had to choose to reinstall on a hard drive or network drive. I've never used a network drive; just the hard drive. It seems that's where the troubles began. I selected the hard drive. It seemed to go well, and then I got the message that I needed to delete some files because I was out of space. I chose to get rid of my music files, but, there were only 636. I don't know what the rest of the files were. I was using the Secure Empty Trash command.
That was my first time doing an erase and install. I tried to do it again, but I now get a continuous error telling me that my hard drive is full and I must delete files. Only I can't delete files because 4 files are still being deleted and my computer won't let me stop the process.
I found out about the hackers mostly by the fact that whenever I used to watch something like Hulu or Netflix, I never had problems with internet connection or speed. Lately, I had internet connection problems. I went in to check my settings for my internet provider and found out the settings had been changed to public and all these extra computers were connected to my network.

  • My post disappeared! Down for over a week!

Wow! my whole post disappeared. Am I talking about a sore subject?
Been down for over a week. My issue is that because I am using a usb modem as my internet connection with considerable infrastructure to make it work, support always says its my problem. I always remove my modem from my router and place it in a netbook to prove I have no 'unusual' setup to support. This time I had to actually drive to the tower to prove I wasn't having a reception problem. Something was finally changed while troubleshooting from car (tech's words not mine) and I'm working again.
To VZW's credit, minutes ago I had a tech call me back and tell me there is a local tower problem. My faith in good business has been salved.
However I'm really confused. All week I was told there were problems, then they were fixed, looked like my device, tech today said he made a change (local to me), another tech says there are problems. Do you guys not have a running log/ticketing system? I've been in IT for 30 years, most places do...

<Your post disappeared because someone reported it to the moderation team asking that it be moved to the Broadband & Netbook  for more exposure after you clarified you were using a USB modem. This is a simple request: Verizon - please exchange my Ellipsis Jetpack for an LG G Pad 8.3 tablet.  The Jetpack I purchased on July 9 (to travel with for 3+ weeks) failed to work since day-one, repeated attempts to fix the device with tech support and personal visits to various stores in multiple states did not fix the trouble. After requesting alternative solutions which included an exchange (see above) the only solution offered by Verizon personnel is to replace the unit with a used reconditioned Ellipsis Jetpack or cancel the Jetpack service, pay the cancellation fee of $175 and buy the GPad and activate a new contract for that device. All of this for something that has failed to work and didn't provide the intended benefit when needed.
