why do we apply Snote and how? what is the difference between Snote and patch

Following might be useful to u.
Usually S notes will be given by SAP and u implement using Snote.
The Note Assistant (transaction SNOTE) helps you to implement SAP OSS notes. Although it
is not perfect it does generally make the application of OSS notes a much easier process. Note
assistant is at its best when all that is required is a simple code deletion/insertion into an existing
ABAP object. If the object does not exists then you will be required to do the creation bit manually,
note assistant will then be able to insert the ABAP code.
Another benefit of SAP note assistant is that it automatically prompts you to implement any
prerequisite notes that apply.
Note assistants biggest problem comes when updates have been provided by SAP but not for
general release (i.e. a specific fix for your company) or you have modified standard SAP code. If
note assistant tries to update an object which has been changed using this method then it
may have trouble inserting the code in the correct place.
<b> ABOUT PATCHES</b>
These are like enhancements.
Enhancement points are basically hooks at certain defined points within the ABAP code i.e. at the beginning and end of a FORM. These hooks allow you to attach your own custom code which will be executed as if it had been hard coded into the code using a modification. Unlike hard coded modifications these will not be lost during upgrade or patching exercises.
There are 2 types of enhancements with the enhancement framework:
1. Explicit enhancement points: These are basically hooks already coded into the program by SAP at various points of the code. See program RIAUFMVK for examples of these! These are very easy to implement simply go into enhancement mode of SE80 and right click on the enhancement point where you want to add your code and choose Enhancement Implementation->Create Give it a name, description and assign it to a change request (should not be a Z package) and then simply add the code as normal.
2. Implicit enhancement points: These are basically points within ABAP code where an enhancement point is implied, and in which case can be created. Examples of implicit enhancement points are at the beginning and end of FORMs, at the end of a program, include or function module etc.

Mid Month Joining-PF Basis Calculation

Hi All,
I have an emplyee whose joining is in the 3rd week of the month 23.04.2011.
His basic is 25000, 8 days working basic is 6667.
I want to restrict his PF contribution to PF at 780 his actual contri coming as 800, 12% of basic.
Here i want that system should maintain his PF as 780 not 800.
I tried marking Eligible pay Or Pf BAsis Which ever is less but of no use.
I have already gone through the Threads which suggest to go through User Exit: Override Employer Pension Basis.But it is not for PF Basis.
If any PCR is available for the same ?

the system is working fine if the person is present in the trust the full month by selecting the Eligible Pay Or PF base pay
which ever is less.
But when it comes to joining in the end of the month say 23 or 25th of the month & the employee is present in the trust for 8 or 5 days & if i try to take the basic as 6500 although the basic is higher than 6500(actual basic 25000, ,8 days-6667),if i select the
Eligible Pay Or PF base pay which ever is less,either it doest take the 6500 consideration or it calculates PF as 208.
Puting the RT details here when Eligible Pay Or PF base pay which ever is less is selected.

Animated Gif with large base image & small animated part.

Hello guys
I'm not really sure how to explain that, due to my limited English comprehansion. I will try with images.
I can easily create animated gif out of multiple layers, given each layer is identical, with small changes accuring over time.
But I yet to figure out an animated gif, that uses one large image for the base, and only small part of it is animated.
I always get the animated part working, without the large base applying across all the frames. All it does, is flashes once
the frame is reached and then moves on to being transparent, showing only the small animated part.
For example, this is a GIF made with Galaxy S4, of my friend playing with his phone, imported into PS CS6. On the Galaxy,
after I record the GIF, I can use my finder to touch, mask and freez parts I don't want to move, and leave only small, animated bit.
When I import it to PS, it shows one layer with full image, and bunch of frames with the animation part only.

Problem is, once the image is open with PS, I'm not able to export it to keep it working in the same manner. Given the Samsung's
gifs are 8 to 10mb, it's hard to edit it, to make it more size friendly.
The gif clearly works the way I describe, so there is a setting or method I don't know about.
If PS is not best tool for editing GIF, what other apps would you recommand I use for it?

This has been an ongoing issue for me since I switched from Powerpoint to Keynote. Most of the animated gifs with transparent backgrounds that I used with Powerpoint are no longer transparent in Keynote. You may want to search for those earlier threads on this topic...
To summarize: I've had to open up my animated gifs in After Effects and use the Color Key effect to restore transparency, with mixed success.

Need advise on SQL Report base for APEX or jasper

I need some advise on how to approach this below report requirement. It has been bugging me for nearly 2 weeks now, and my time is running out.
Here is a simplified version of the database
Four tables: Defendant, Engagement, Service, Event.
A defendant can have more than 1 engagement, but they have only one open engagement at a time.
For each engagement, they will have services and events.
These events can be just general events or events that relates to the service.

Requirement:
Report parameter: Start Date, End Date, Court_name
From chosen Court_name, list defendants who currently engage in the court.
For each defendant display
Section 1: Identifying Details: First Name, Last Name, Ethnicity, Date Joined Court
Section 2: All Services currently active that the defendant attend
Section 3: All Events that related to the service that the defendant attend
Section 4: All other events (don't have Related Service ID)
User must be able to download the whole report in spreadsheet or PDF format.
I did try to create a set of union selects (but the format is not that good, when no data return it display nothing, I would rather show some messages like "There is no associated events, rather than nothing")
and it only produces report for 1 defendant at a time.
We use Oracle APEX , so only select statement or PL/SQL Code return select statement is valid for report source.
In our place we use Jasper Report adjacent to APEX, but I have very little experience with Jasper report.
The developer who knows a lot about jasper report is too busy to help me.

You can achieve this via Workshop 9.2 by using the exported Ant script for your project as follows:
-Ensure that all Jars needed to resolve com.bea.p13n.property.EntityPropertyManager (this particular class is found in weblogic92/common/p13n/lib/p13n_ejb.jar) and all referenced classes are added to the Java build path for your WebLogic EJB project (Properties->Java Build Path->Libraries)
-Export the "Workshop Ant Script" for your WebLogic EJB project (File->Export->Workshop Ant Script); this will generate a "build.xml" Ant script under your project root directory.
-Edit this default build script as follows: in the call to the "ejbgen" task within the "build" target, add the attribute: propertyFile="ejbgen.properties"
-Create a file "ejbgen.properties" under the root of your WebLogic EJB project and add the following entry:
YourSessionBeanClassName.remote.baseClass=com.bea.p13n.property.EntityPropertyManager
-Add a "<path refid="java.classpath"/>" within the "<classpath>" for the "java" task element that calls "weblogic.ejbc" (this will ensure that the p13n classes are resolved by EJBC)

How do I open the same ports on an Airport Extreme Base Station for multiple computers at the same time?

As the title suggests...
I have a mix of five Mac and PC's at home using an Airport Extreme Base Station as the router.   I need many ports opened on the AEBS for all of the computers- not just one computer. (for example: three people want to play TF2 on Steam at the same time; each machine needs the correct ports open on the router).   Port forwarding only allows me to forward a given port to a single IP, yet I need that port open for five differnt IP's, all at the same time.
How do I do that on an AEBS?
In the same way, I have a small office of four iMacs using an old airport with the same exact issue.   I would like to be able to connect to all of them remotely with Apple Remote Desktop, but the port forwarding on the airport only allows a port to forward to a single IP.   I want to be able to tunnel into the office network and log onto any machine behind the Airport extreme... not just a single IP.    I currently have it set up where I can tunnel into the office from my house, I can find the one machine that the port forwarding has been assigned to, I can log on and everything is just fine... with one machine.    How do I open the firewall for the other machines?
TL,DR version: How do you open ports on an Airport Extreme Base Station instead of forwarding ports?   Forwarding ports doesn't work for multiple IP's.

You can open a single or multiple ports to a single device or different ports to different devices, but you cannot open the same port to multiple devices via the AirPort Utility for the Apple routers.

Hi,
You may only need to provide BaseType, BaseEntry and BaseLine when you add A/R credit memo base on A/R invoice. Omit all other fields if you include in your code.

Error while deploying web role - Invalid application runtime - a runtime component is missing:/base/x64/IISConfigurator.exe

I have Azure SDK 2.5 installed and when I try and publish my web role from VS 2013, it fails. When I manually upload the package and config through the Azure Portal I get the error: "Invalid application runtime - a runtime component
is missing:/base/x64/IISConfigurator.exe".
I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the Azure SDK with no change in the error.
Any ideas how I can troubleshoot this?

I uninstalled the SDK, and tried to create a new cloud servce using the WCF service project template. The new project still gives me the same error:
The file provided is not a valid service package. Detailed error code: WCFServiceWebRole1 Invalid application runtime - a runtime component is missing:/base/x64/IISConfigurator.exe.

Can no longer read the base station configuration

I am seting up a Airport Extreme N. I was able to read the configuration file twice with no problem. Now AirPort Utility "sees" the base station and tells me the Name, IP, Version, and AirPort ID but when I select the continue button AirPort Unitlity just sits and spins.
1) I am using the latest AirPort Utility (2007-1)
2) I have tried the 1 second reset
3) I have tried the 6 second reset
4) I have tried the reset while powering up
I see a few other threads like this but no conclusive answers.

Found the problem (well a work-around).
If the base station restarts while my LaCie USB 1TB drive is plugged in and turned on then AirPort Utility hangs reading the configuration. If I wait until the base station is up and running to plug the USB drive in all is fine. Also AirPort Utility will crash while hung reading the configuration and I unplug the USB drive.
To be sure I tested 3 times. Totally repeatable. Total time...4.5 hours

Printer no longer recognized by Extreme Base Station

I have had my Epson Stylus Photo 900 connected to the base station and working for some time. I tried printing to it today and nothing happened. I ran the Printer Setup Utility and I get only two options: one to set up browser and one to set up IP printer, no option to choose Rendezvous and add the printer. If I attach the printer to my iMac I can run Epson utilities on it but can't print to it. I downloaded and reinstalled the printer driver and ran fix permission in the Disk utility. I had the same problem after my computer got infected (And I am running McAfee with the firewall!). The problem isn't your print driver, the problem is in your Windows operating system. Try to reload or repair Windows from your backup disk (hope you have one). It took three tries before i finally got the trojan eliminated and could reload Windows.

Value-Basis Free Goods in ME21N

In PO creation, is it possible for free goods to be on value-basis rather than quantity-basis?
For example: If I buy A 1000USD, I'll get one B for free.

One more option....
Create PO with two line item,one line item for A and second line item for B.
To get the item B free, you have to select the check box of free item in the second line item.
if you will scroll right in PO line item you will get the check box of free item.

What are you trying to achieve with a single WITH clause and no SELECT?
Please see this from the documentation if you want to use it properly :

Apart from its true purpose of subquery factoring, the WITH clause is often use here and there to simulate a table content, but you'll always need a SELECT.
Maybe that's what you were trying to do?
As for your question, starting with release 10.2, Oracle provides XMLTable to shred XML documents into relational structures.

Automatic PO from PR [free text base procurement ]

Hi SAP gurus ,
I have following question ,
I am not using material master , it is a free text base procurement .
even there are no contracts in place .
Purchasing is only PR - PO w.r.t. & without respect to PR - GR - IV . etc.
How can I create a Automatic PO w.r.t. PR ?
Can anybody please advice?

1. Check auto PO tick in Vendor Master record.
2. Create Info record for material group which you are going to use in PR. This is important for net price, purchasing group and tax code which will be mandatory in PO.
3. Assign Source of supply as this info record in PR.
4. Create auto PO in ME59N t- code.
