Batch Determination at SO Level

Dear All,
I have configured batch determination at SO level. The batch number auto appears. But, I have a problem where the system choose batch number which is already allocated to the shipping area deliveries. I am not sure whether it is the settings at the availability check or batch determination that should be configured to solve this problem. All solutions are welcome so that system will choose the correct batch number with the FIFO rule.
Thank you!

Hai
Use T code : VCH1 Batch search strategy.
As per the sort rule S001 FIFO rule,
Sort sequence
Date - LOBM_HSDAT
qty  - LOBM_MENGE
In Ascending / descending order - system will determine the batch and assign for the item.

  • Batch determination at del level

    Hi Gurus,
I am tryin to understand the config for Batch determination at delivery level.
The batch is determined thru condition record maintained in VCH1. But when i go to this transaction,i dont see any place where the batch is maintained.
    Pl explain.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Rianka.

    Hi Rianka,
--In VCH1 you will maintain the condition records with batch wise classification for your material.
--When you raise sales order in VA01  you will define the characteristic for the material & save it
--You will create Delivery with reference to order. In picking tab if you click on batch split it will display the batchwise number with the same classification which you have maintained in VCH1 for material.
Let me know if your problem is solved

  • Change batch determination from TO level to Delivery level

    Hi,
    Need input on this.
We want to change the batch determination from TO level to delivery level. How do we do this? What are the implications of this change?
    Regards
    RJS

    Hi,
    1) You can switch of WM batch determination by deleting the WM batch search strategy in LS52
    2) You have to maintain the necessary setting in customizing for batch determination in delivery
SPRO > Logistcs - General > Batch Management > Batch Determination and Batch Check...here you have to all the setings
    3) You have to maintain suitable batch search strategy in VCH1/VCH2/VCH3
If batch is determined in the delivery it means that you cannot change it when creating the TO.

  • Batch determination in Subcontracting order

    Hi,
Can any one of you explain me the steps for doing batch determination for subcontracting orders. i am facing the same issue, but i dont know what steps to follow.
our scenario is:  we do a GR against a Sub contracted PO using 101 mvt type and when i am trying to post the document, it's asking me to enter the batch for few components which are maintained as vendor consigned stock and in batches.
is it possible to automate the process? can any body explain how to setup the customization for batch determination?
    thanks in advance,
    Kanth

    Follow the below steps.
    01. For movement type 543 "O" assign your search procedure T code : OMCG
    02. Maintain conditions record or strategy record.
A1) Normaly we use batch determination at delivery level, because at the time of order material may or may not be created.for this material should be configured with batch and batch determination should be checked in sales views of material.
A2) Batch Determination during order Creation.
For this you need to maintain a Classes d for you Material. Depending on the Manufacturing process you can define the characteristics for your material.
Ex: Purity for Medicines,  Resistance for Electric Items.
You need to create a class (You might have to create a new class type) which incorporates the characteristic.
First Create the Characteristic Using Ct04 and then using Cl02 create the Class  including this characteristic.
Then in your material master Classification View Enter this class.
Then Create a Batch for the particular plant and Stor Loc using MSC1N.Give the value of the characteristics in this batch.
Then go to SPRO ->Logistics General ->Batch Management and maintain the Condition Technique (Procedure, Strategy Types and assignment to sales docs etc).
Then Create the Batch Determination Record using VCH1.

  • Batch numbers does not appear as batch split in DO level

    Hi All,
I have currently configure batch determination as SO level. The batch number appears in SO alright but when my stock is insufficient for one batch, it doesn't take from another batch. My DO will only show one line item and doesn't allow me to do manual batch split. It is supposed to show all the available stock from other batches that it can take from.
Kindly advise as soon as possible.
    Thank you!

    1. iWork (including Pages) once loaded by DVD DOES update via the Apple menu/Software Update function.
    2. Aperture 3.0 updates via S/U.
BUT IT FIRST REQUIRED: a "fresh" key to register on my new iMac desktop. (from Aperture-Help phone-line).

  • Automatic Batch Determination at PGI

    Dear All,
My requirement is that i want the automatic batch determination at PGI level. Let me tell you how the system works for me.
MY sales dept will raise the sales order and will create the delivery order. Than stores create the PGI. So basically if we can trigger the batch at VL02N than it would suffice my needs.
I dont think we have any standard setting to accomplish the same.
So can someone please tell me if there is any user exit or some other solution to get this sorted out.
    Thanks in advance....

    Hi,
Step..Item category in sales order should not check batch automatic
Step: Item category in delivery should have batch activation.
    Example...
OR ( Document type)                        Item Category ...ZM01 ( Not relevant for Batch)
    OR NORM ZM01
for delivery ,Need create one more item category like ZM02 with batch activation.we should have maintain the delivery item category determination for other item category ZM02...maintain the batch condition master data
LF NORM Usage (Batch) ZM01 (higher level) ZM02
System will generate two line items .One with ZM01 ,other one ZM02 with batch..

    Hi,
With the following settings, the batches are selected the moment
1: Set up batch determination the way that the batches in batch selection are sorted the right way. e.g. sorted by expiry date
2: Use automatic batch selection in disp view.

  • Batch Determination at the time of Production Order Confirmation

    Hi,
I am working with Batch Determination at Item Level.
I already have configured system to generate Batch Automatically at the Time of Production Order Release.
But now i want to generate Batch Automatically at the Time of Production Order Confirmation
Please help me with the necessary Configurations which would be required into achieving the same.
    Thanks in advance.
    Harris

    Hi,
I have maintained the same for my Order Type in OPJ2 but still the same is not being picked at the time of Order Confirmation and it is being put to COGI mentioning the error as No batch specified in production order
Also if i try to Manually Select the Batch through in Goods Movt. of CO15 it is giving a msg that No Strategy could be found.
    I have done following settings:
    1. Have maintained Condn Records in MBC1 for the component whose batch is to be determined.
    2. In material master in MRP2 Batch Determination: 2
    3. In OPL8: Batch determination search procedure
    4. In OPJ2: BD ticked for that relevant Order Type
    5. In OPKP: Automatic Batch creation kept as BLANK.
