Batch determination of configurable materials in production order
Dear All,
I'm facing the follwoing problem i have a configurable material which contains another configurable material in its BOM the item catergory for the configurable item is N , the problem is that during batch detrminittion of the material in the production order the system issues this message ' Batch entry/batch split not allowed for component xxxxx
Message no. CO584'
however the batch determination for other material types is workinf fine
please advice
regards,
Ahmed Sobhi
Hi Ahmed Sobhi,
Please check these steps that you have done exactly like this;
For that you have to do five important steps or features you have to know OK.
1) Batch number assignment: We use this function to assign a batch with a number that uniquely identifies it OK.
2) Batch Specf: To describe each batch uniquely using like Characteristics and characteristic The values. are allocated in the material master.
3) Batch status management: To indicate weather a batch is usable or unusable: We can set (a) Manually in the batch master record or at goods receipt and (b) Automatically in the usage dissension in quality management.
4) Batch Determination: We can use this function for various criteria to search for batches that are in stock (a) movement type: When posting goods issues (b) When combining suitable components for order types.
5) Where used list: The batch where used list shows the path of the batch from its procurement to its delivery to the customer.
6) Active Ingredient Management: This function is to administrate and process materials with active ingredients that are to be handled in batches OK.
Condition types: Say for x material if we want to determine the batch at the movement type/ plant/order type.
Access Sequence: It will checks weather the batch determination is done with movement type/ plant/ material &
order type/ plant/ material.
Strategy type: We will assign here condition type and Access sequence and as well we have to maintain Class type: 023
sort sequence, batch split
Batch Search Procedure: Here we will define the search procedure and using the condition type here OK.
Batch Search Procedure Allocation and Check Activation: Here we will assign the search procedure to the movement types and for order types as well
HERE THE BELOW FOLLOWING DATA WILL GIVE YOU RIGHT UNDERSTANDING OK:
a) It will looks for the search procedures.
b) It searches through the strategy types in the search procedures for a valid search strategy.
c) Characteristics from the selection class of the search strategy looks for batches with suitable specifications.
d) Then it will looks for weather the batches are available.
e) It sorts the batches that are available according to the sort rule from the search strategy.
f) Then the system selects a proposed quantity with proposed quantity from the search strategy OK.
Go -
> Logistic General -
> SPRO -
> Batch Management you can find every thing there it self OK.
I hope it clears you, any questions revert me back OK.

Batch Determination at the time of Production Order Confirmation
Hi,
I am working with Batch Determination at Item Level.
I already have configured system to generate Batch Automatically at the Time of Production Order Release.
But now i want to generate Batch Automatically at the Time of Production Order Confirmation
Please help me with the necessary Configurations which would be required into achieving the same.
Thanks in advance.
HarrisHi,
I have maintained the same for my Order Type in OPJ2 but still the same is not being picked at the time of Order Confirmation and it is being put to COGI mentioning the error as No batch specified in production order
Also if i try to Manually Select the Batch through in Goods Movt. of CO15 it is giving a msg that No Strategy could be found.
I have done following settings:
1. Have maintained Condn Records in MBC1 for the component whose batch is to be determined.
2. In material master in MRP2 Batch Determination: 2
3. In OPL8: Batch determination search procedure
4. In OPJ2: BD ticked for that relevant Order Type
5. In OPKP: Automatic Batch creation kept as BLANK.
Please support
Thanks

Automatic Batch Determination during Goods issue of Production Order
Hi,
Iam trying to set up automatic batch determination during Goods Issue against a production order. My requirement is system should automatically run the batch determination similar to the case in production order.
I have set up all the required configs for batch determination. But to get the batch I need to click on the batch determination button. What I need is without clicking on anything. How can I do this. Whats the config needed
Thanks and Regards
EnricoDear Enrico
It is required lot of set up both in production order parameters and Batch Managemnet .I am providing you a summery of it .
Configuration Required for your above issue are as follows :
1.Activated Batch Management in the Material Master-MRP2 view and Work Scheduling view of the FG
2.check material master MM02, tab MRP2 and set field "Batch Entry" to value 3 here
4.You maintain a Search Procedure in OPL8 - Order Type Dependent parameters .Before that you should have Batch serach strategy :The sequence of steps are as follows -
Create Condition Tables
Create Access Sequences
Create Strategy Types
Batch Search procedure definition
Batch Search procedure allocation and check activation
Define Selection classes
Define sort rules
Maintain Batch Allocation Strategy Number Ranges
All the above are available in the Path - SPRO --->Logistics-General ---> Batch Management ---> Batch Determination and Batch Check
5.Maintain the setting in T.code OPKP (production scheduling profile). Select automatic batch creation on order creation.
6.If u want to execute the batch determination for components in the component overview of production order , then u have to create batch search strategy at COB1
7.If u want to execute during order confirmation u have to create batch search strategy at MBC1.

Variant configuration modification in production order in case of MTO
Dear all,
We use Make-To-Order production for a part of our business, and at the moment, when we try to modify the configuration in a MTO production order, we get the message CO 661 ("Characteristics values were copied - you can only modify"). The configuration is a copy of the configuration from the sales order item. This is confirmed by the instance number which is the same for both objects.
Some users would like to have the possibility to modify some characteristics directly in the production order. This would be usefull in case of multiple Work Order on the same sales order item.
According to the different documentations I found on this subject, it seems not possible to answer to this request from users. This is also the information I remember from the project realization phase.
But could you confirm me the information I found.
According to these documentations, it's only possible to change the configuration in the MTS production order, but not in the MTO production order.
Many thanks in advance for your answer.
Best regards.
SandrineMany thanks for your answer.
In case of MTS, I confirm it's possible to modify the configuration in the production order.
In fact, in this case the production order is like the sales order in case of MTO : you have the configuration defined in the material master, and then you can do some modifications linked to the MTS to be done.
We work in that way in our system. I don't know enough this part to tell you the customizing done to have this possibility.
In case of MTO, the configuration can also be modified at the sales order item level, but then it seems it's blocked in the production order.
I'm looking for a confirmation of this point, to give an answer to business people.
Thanks in advance.

Batch Number Not copied over from Production order to Confirmation
Dear Experts,
In the production order, I specify the batch # for the components. But when I do the confirmation, the batch number for the components is not getting copied over.
Can anyone suggest what has to be done.
Regards
TomDario, I have not saved my confirmation. But when I execute CO11N and go to "Goods Movement" tab, I expect the Batch to be copied from the production order for the components. But the batch field is Blank.
How do we make the batch field to be copied over from the production order.
Thanks in advance.

Warning message during batch determination while doing GR for process order
Hi Experts,
During delivery against process order for all SFGs and FGs, we are getting warning message u201CInvalid batch according to selection criteria in batch determinationu201D.
Following settings maintained for batch determination in process order.
Condition table for order/material type maintained
Access sequence maintained for order/material type
In strategy type above access sequence has been maintained. The common class and sort sequence created for all materials in the plant have also been assigned to this strategy type. In batch split changes allowed box has been checked and quantity proposal maintained as 1.
In search procedure control maintained for order/material type. Search procedure has been assigned to all process order types and check activated.
In spite of the above when GR for order is taking place , system is throwing warning message.
GI of components is being done through backflush and without any warning message.
Please advise how to ensure proper batch determination during GR against order.
Regards
Sm.Issue resolved by removing required indicators from characteristics which were not being valuated but were maintained in the class assigned to SFGs/FGs.

Show batch clasification char val of the production order material in COOIS
I want to display a characteristic value entered in the material batch classification of the production order material in COOIS report.
Ex: I maintain material stock code in material batch classification. Within the same material there can be multiple stock codes which is similar to dye lot number. I created production order for that material. I want to display that batch classification characteristic of the material in a separate column when display production orders of that martial in COOIS.Dear,
Have you use the process batch? The classification characteristics of each process batch created for a production order are compared with the actual configuration characteristics.
If different characteristics are used for the classification, that is, if characteristics do not exist in the configuration, these characteristics are flagged as green by default in the detailed display.
Call interface:
An interface (parameter of the function module) can be used to call function module MILL_PC1_COMP_LIST outside C003, C011N from COOIS.
Or Call Transaction SE38 report PPIOA000 execute it.
You can refer the OSS note 519649 for it.

Batch derivation in goods receipt for production order
Hi all,
i have set up batch derivation for the event 'goods receipt for production order'. The field derived is HSDAT (date of manufacture) /minimum. Although in the batch derivation monitor I can see tha the derivation was performed OK and the correct date (oldest of the components) is selected the field in the Batch is not updated. Can anyone help??Hi Vagia,
Your problem sounds like derivation type issue.
Please check your derivation type to be static for the 400 event.
Let us know if this helped.

Determine a component in the production order
Hi,
To determine if a component in the production order is relevant for the paint dispatch list:
For a Production Order, after retrieving all the components (children) of the header material utilize function module CLSE_SELECT_AUSP. Pass the following information under the import parameters:
Function Group: CLSE
Function Module: CLSE_SELECT_AUSP
Import Parameters:
KLART = 001 (Hard-coded) (ZERO, ZERO, ONE)
OBJEK = (Component number from production order Item) – RESB-MATNR
MAFID = O (Hard-coded) (The letter O)
KEY_DATE = (BOM Explosion Date) – CAUFV AFKO-AUFLD
Returns:
Table = T_AUSP
Field = ATWRT
T_AUSP-ATWRT
Then the following logic should apply:
IF T_AUSP-ATWRT = OPTPNTD THEN this component (RESB-MATNR) is relevant for the dispatch list.
can any body explain the meaning of this
all replies will be rewardedHi,
i got the solution i came to know the meaning of it

Tag Work center to Materials in Production Order
hey everyone,
I need to tag the correct work center to the prod order. One Production order has say 5 materials and they have different movements on it. We need to fetch the correct work center for each material movement. I am able to find work center for materials that have entry in the RESB table but for material that is final produced has no entry in RESB thus we cant tag it to any work center.
Does any one know how to tag the produced material to the correct work center according to the operation on that production order.
any suggestions would be appreciated.
thanks !!Laura: Please don't post the same question in different forums. Thanks!

Batch input to be mandatory in production order
Dear All,
While creating production order I want to make the batch (CHARG --> GR Tab page) to be made mandatory.
I have tried SHD0 but not useful. Also tried to find some BADIs, but could not find the appropriate one. Is there any other way of doing the same?
Please help me to do this.
SumeetDear DsK,
Thanks for the input.
We are using the external batch numbering for batches and not the internal numbering. So can not opt to have automatic batch creation.
Morever I have tried the CORW but may be missing something which caused NO batch generation in creation. Is there any other setting involved other than PSP?

Batch job for technically completing a production order
Is there a way I can run COHV in batch mode for TECO ing orders
thanks a lotHi
I assume you mean have a program run at pre-defined intervals to TECO your production orders.
Easiest is to use SM36 --> batch job creation wizard to setup your batch job.
The ABAP program you want to execute is PPIO_ENTRY (create a variant for the program first via SE38).

Need the report for staged materials in production order
Hi
My user is staging the materials multiple times for the one production order.Due this reason multiple TR were generated .Because of Multiple TR , user is generating multiple TO for issuing the material to a production order.
Is there any way to stop the staging process for the materials already staged.I would like to know whether there is any report which give the details of staged materials and corresponding TR & TO for a production order.
Thanks
SankarHi
Warehouse activity Monitor is best tool/ report , which give the details of staged materials and corresponding TRs & TOs, to stop/cancle you have to use related WM transactions.
To setup WM moniter user below document
