Batch Determination while putting Batch Manually

Dear Friends,
We just activated batch determination for Delivery process. now delivery determining automatically
batch when we are going to create delivery.
we have a question..
When we select any line from Delivery and press batch split and then delete line from batch split screen.
now we can manually add batch and it is not taking care of that batch determination rules.
how can we restrict this bypassing of batch determination stretegy.

Batch Determination is based on the Selection type batch Determination
     immediate selection according to selection criteria
N     no selection at beginning of batch determination
O     selection with no selection criteria
F     selection criteria cannot be changed in batch determination
Check how you maintained in VCH1/VCH2/VCH3
if you want the system automatically at the time of delivery mentioned "O"
and also check the sort rule

6.V/CL - Activate Automatic Batch Determination in SD - Activate automatic batch det. for delivery item categories u2013 select item category and activate auto batch determination
7. VCH1 u2013 Create batch search strategy against strategy type as per the access sequence needed.
Please let me know is there any other step, apart from it.

FIFO batch determination while delivery in SD

Hi Experts
I did tried to search FIFO batch determination while delivery in SD, but could not find any solution. Please suggest.
1. Strategy type -SD01
2. Batch search Procedure - SD0001
3. Allocated SD Search procedure to the sales area + Sales doc. Type
4. Activated automatic batch determination in SD.
5. Class - CLASS_FIFO is created with Char- LOBM_LWEDT
6. Sort rule - SORT_FIFO and assigned Char - LOBM_LWEDT
7. Create material and assiged Class - CLASS_FIFO and Batch management is activated
8. Maintained condition record VCH1 in keycombination - Material.
After all above configuration, I am able to do the automatic batch determiation. The suggest where I am wrong.
The same configuration I have done for FEFO and its working.

Batch determination cannot pick batch

Dear SAP gurus,
We are in SAP ECC 6 EHP 7. We are using batch determination in Delivery and also availability check which include delivery item in the checking.
We have a scenario to transfer 1 pc of tock X from plant A to plant B then to plant C. We are creating STO 1 from plant A to plant B, and then STO 2 from plant B to plant C. STO 1 auto-create delivery 1 and STO 2 auto-create delivery 2. When STO/Delivery created, the stock situation for X is 10 pcs in plant A, 0 in plant B, and 0 in plant C.
When delivery 1 created, batch determination kick in, batch is determined. When delivery 2 created, because there is 0 stock in plant B, batch determination cannot determine any batch. At this time when we see stock requirement list of material X in plant B, there is -1 qty assigned to delivery 2.
After we issue stock X using delivery 1, the stock in plant A become 9, and stock in plant B become 1. Then we edit the delivery, re-trigger the batch determination in the hope now system can get the batch (because the stock already 1 now). But the problem is, it is NOT. It seems that before batch determination kick in, SAP is using availability check to determine whether there is any quantity can be commited to delivery 2. The problem is, because it thinks that planned available quantity is -1, it fails to commit the quantity, thus batch determination cannot kick in.
The weird thing is the planned availability check is -1 in the first place because the delivery 2 itself (!!) Health logic suggest that because I already order something in plant B, when the goods finally arrived in B, I should be able to pick this goods, but apparently it is NOT. I'm almost sure that the problem is in the availability check, as if I dont include delivery in the availability check, SAP able to commit 1 qty and then batch determination kicks in. But I cannot de-activate this, as we dont want Sales Order and DO commit to quantity that already book.
Is there something that I miss in here?

please open this prd order in change mode CO02 then press tab button cost calculation near release button in order header screen now do not save this order go to edit >log> cost calculation
There it will show the error tht occured during costing

Automatic Batch Determination while doing MFBF

Hello PP Gurus,
I have a scenario related to Repetitive Manufacturing.
I am doing MFBF transaction and doing Assembly backflush by clicking Post with correction. One of the components is batch managed.
My requirement is : On selection screen of MFBF I enter MAterial,PLant BAckflush Quantity , REM Production Version and Storage Location.
What I want is that for the component that is batch managed there should be automatic batcah determination based on shelf life and also it should pick up stock from a particular storage location only.
Also when I click POst with correction button and go to components screen the Batch Determination button comes greyed out.
For header material have maintained REM Profile.
PLease let me know what all I need to do for meeting above requirement.

I need to know 2 things more from your side.. As you told I need to assign Stock Detrmination Rule and Batch Determination strategy in Control Data 2 of REM profile.
I have doubt on Batch determination strategy :
1) Which Batch determination strategy should I assign here. Second what all else I need to do from my side so that a batch is automatically picked and assigned to the componenet material.
The things what I have done is : I have a made a Batch Class, Assigned shelf life as a charcterstic to it. I have defined a sort rule with this characterstic.
What else I need to do.
Also FYI : We are not putting a planned order in MFBF. We are inpiutting the material to be backflushed...

How To Active batch Determination at the time of issue the goods
I have done following SPRO setting .
Strategy type --> YB01
Inventory managment Search Procedure --> YB001
Allocation IM Search Procedure -->> 261assigned to YB001 along with Active "Check batch"
In MBC1....for Search Startegy YB01 , for combination of Movement Type/Plant/Material ,materil assignement made as

Changed Allowed : Check

Material Master batch Management tick active
Classifcation view : Class As Shelf life
Characheirstics :Remaining Shelf Life
Now i have cretaed prodcution order of 10 qty ..
I have Four Batches With Differnt Life is available in Stock...
Now i want to see this Four batch at The time of Issue so that i can select one of the batch for issue..
Right now i m not getting Batch determination ..
What else i have to do ...

Have you assigned the sort rule in MBC1?

Assign for 261 mov type - YB0001.

i have created an class and charateristic ERSDA (Creation date) , also i have created 2 batches , also characteristic assigned to short rule also , now i want whoever batch created 1st should come at the time of issue

Warning message during batch determination while doing GR for process order

Hi Experts,
During delivery against process order for all SFGs and FGs, we are getting warning message u201CInvalid batch according to selection criteria in batch determinationu201D.
Following settings maintained for batch determination in process order.
Condition table for order/material type maintained
Access sequence maintained for order/material type
In strategy type above access sequence has been maintained. The common class and sort sequence created for all materials in the plant have also been assigned to this strategy type. In batch split changes allowed box has been checked and quantity proposal maintained as 1.
In search procedure control maintained for order/material type. Search procedure has been assigned to all process order types and check activated.
In spite of the above when GR for order is taking place , system is throwing warning message.
GI of components is being done through backflush and without any warning message.
Please advise how to ensure proper batch determination during GR against order.

Issue resolved by removing required indicators from characteristics which were not being valuated but were maintained in the class assigned to SFGs/FGs.

Batch determination while prd. ord. confirmation

Dear Experts,
We have got batch management system for raw material in our organisation. Here, we are selecting the batch number to the material while releasing the production order ( order will not be relesed if we are not selecting batch number). I do not want to assign batch number during order release but I want to select the batch number while confirming the order. Is it possible? If so how?

this completly depends on your requirements and I cannot know this requirements. Select the key combination for which your batch search strategie should be valid and then add the characteristics you want to use for selection.

Automatic batch determination with fixed batch number for production order

Hello all,
I want to create a production order where the batc number can be assigned for one component as Batch fixed value once the order is released.
1.- I have created the characteristic (CT04) assigned to the table MCHA and field CHARG (Batch number) and one value: LINER.
2.- I have created the class (CL02) and assign to this the characteristic.
3.- I have created the sort ZSORT and the batch (MSC1N).
4.- I have checked the classification in the material and it has assigned correctly the class and characteristic and the MRP2 view has the backflush = 1, batch entry = 3 and the prod. stor. location = COIL.
5.- I have created the strategy (COB1, strategy type CO02) and assigned the selection criteria and sort.
6.- I have created the order (CO01).
7.- I was releasing the order and the batch number was assigned but, with numbers!! and I need assign this with fixed value = LINER.
Could you help me please? How can I do it?

Thank you for your respone, but, doing more researching, let me explain you with more detail:
1.- I am going to the transaction CO02 in order to release the order, but, before it, I am checking the component by Go to > Overviews > Components.
2.- Then, I am selecting my component and making a click in "Batch determ. " button.
3.- The system is showing me many batch numbers and I select the "Selection criteria" button and the system said: "Selection class "LINERBATCH" does not contain any selection criteria". But, it has a characteristic that I have created before.
4.- Then, I select in the new screen "Selection criteria: Origin..." the"create" button.
5.- The system selection my class from the material classification and when I go back to the last screen, finally the system is showing me my batch: LINER.
Do you know why my selection criteria with my selection class is not working in automatic?

I am trying to get batched with shelf life larger than 370.
We are in ECC6.0 and the note applies to releases up to 4.5. I read the note and also tried it but the characteristic does not take a range; only a numberic value. For => 370 I get an error. The date for SLED calculated for batch determination (from the batch determination analysis for a test) as shown below:

Batch determination based on fifo during goods issue

Hi All,
My client requirement is that system should propose automatic batch during goods issue based on goods receipt.
I have activated batch wise split valuation.
I have maintained characterstics with MCH1 table and HSDAT.
Assigned to class and class is assigned to stratergy type.
Created sort sequence and sort rule ascennding.
Assigned this to stratergy type.
Maintained condition record also.
During goods issue to production system is not proposing the batch based on gr date.
System is not stopping me while making goods issue with other batch.
Please guide to fix the above issue.

Split valuation has nothing to do with this problem.
I hope you do not just require the sequence for physical goods issue to be FIFO because your year end valuation will be FIFO method, as this is not necessary for FIFO valuation.

here you set the box for batch check active, which means if a batch is entered manually then this batch is checked against the batch determination and an error is issued if the wrong batch is entered.

Scrap/sample
Transfer posting
To configure this ,please find the details below:
Prerequisites
u2022 You must have assigned a search procedure to the business transaction. The search
procedure contains different strategy types that are relevant for the business transaction.
u2022 There must be a batch search strategy for one of the strategy types. See also Creating a
Batch Search Strategy
u2022 The selection class must contain at least one of the characteristics with which the batch
was classified.
