But while selecting batch in pop up screen its showing all the batches including the batches which r having zero stock. Our requirement is it should show those batches where stock is there?
Thank you

  • Exclude batches with zero stock during PI in MI31

    Dear all,
During creation of physical inventory document through MI31 is there any provision of making system select only batches for which stock is not zero.
    Experts help expected.
    Regards,
    M.M

    Dear RP,
Thank you for your reply. I checked the same and it is (i.e., threshold) is only for value and not qty. Moreover my requirement is that out of various batches available, i want system to by default select only batches for which stock is more than zero for inventory document creation.
    Can you provide solution?

  • Putaway and picking in ERP-WM with SU and batches with mixed stock

    Hello all,
I configured a WM warehouse with SU management, and batch management. We have bulk storage for example of 20 pallets. each pallet may have its own SU and batch numbers. As a result we may have in the bulk storage 20 SUs with 20 different batches.
    I have 2 problems:
    1. in Putaway strategy B (Bulk) - although the storage type is configured to allow mixed storage - automatically the system chooses the next empty bin. How can I force the system to add to existing stock instead?
    2. in Outbound Delivery (when the batch number is not entered in the delivery), when I create the TO (through LT03), the system proposes a FIFO batch number (again, we are talking about Bulk storage). How do I tell the system not to determine the batch number - but instead take it from the chosen SU on confirmation?
    Thanks,
    Isaac

    Hi,
    1. in Putaway strategy B (Bulk) - although the storage type is configured to allow mixed storage - automatically the system chooses the next empty bin. How can I force the system to add to existing stock instead?
In Bulk system would only one SU type perBin. If the next SU is of diferent SU type then it would propose the next Bin.
    2. in Outbound Delivery (when the batch number is not entered in the delivery), when I create the TO (through LT03), the system proposes a FIFO batch number (again, we are talking about Bulk storage). How do I tell the system not to determine the batch number - but instead take it from the chosen SU on confirmation?
In this case you do not setup batch determination at delivery or WM level.
Since this is Bulk, system will allow for SU number to be entered during picking.
However the Batch number population in TO upon SU selection is doubtful.
    Hope this helps.

    HI,
To map this scenario u hav to maintain the config settings for TOR and avaliability check for that document type and material and if u want to see the status confirm quantity or not use tcode MD04 or table VBBE is useful for u.

  • Batch with classification at the time of inbound delivery

    Dear all,
How do I create batch with classification at the of
    inbound delivery.
    Thanks in advance
    Mrinmoy Chakraborty

    Hi,
Go to SPRO > Logistics Execution > Shipping > Deliveries > Define Batch Creation Controls in Inbound Deliveries > Here select option 3 for the Item category of Inbound delivery (for e.g. ELN)
And during creation of Inbound Delivery (VL31N), under "Stock placement" Tab, select the line item and click on "Batch creation" on the down of the screen.
Define Batch Creation Controls in Inbound Deliveries: - You can use this activity to set controls for batch creation in the inbound delivery.
Define for each desired delivery item category how batch creation, batch classification or expiration date checks should be carried out in inbound deliveries. You can make the following settings:
    - There is no batch creation, no valuation of the class characteristics of the batch and no expiration date check.
    - Batch creation is possible in the inbound delivery, but there is no valuation of the class characteristics of the batch and no expiration date check.
    - Batch creation in the inbound delivery and valuation of class characteristics is possible, but there is no expiration date check.
    - Batch creation in the inbound delivery, valuation of class characteristics of the batch and the expiration date check are all possible.

  • Activating Inspection type with QI stock

    Hi QM Gurus,
I want to activate Inspection Types 01, 05, 08, 09 and 89 for a material. I already have stock for 2 batches for this mateiral in QI. I tried activating Inspection Type 01using t-code QA08. I entered the Plant and Material and ticked 'Assignn Inspection type' and 'Activate despite insp. stock' on the Activate insp. type tab of this transaction but the system gives an error 'Mats. with insp. stock'. I even tried by ticking on the 'Create Change Documents' option but in vain
I also tried the Individual processing and Mass processing tabs of QA08 but faced same issue.
Please tell me how to activate inspection types for this material.
    Regards,
    Manish Saraswat.

    Hi Manish,
Thanks a lot for your inputs. Right now the only Inspection Type which is active for this material is 89. I want to activate 01, 05, 08 and 09. As I said earlier I have stock for 2 batches in QI and there are no Inspection Lots for these batches as no Inspection Types are active.
I checked and found that InspTypeForInspStock doest has any value. Its blank.
Please advise whether the system will allow me to activate the mentioned Inspection Types.
    Regards,
    Manish Saraswat.

  • How to set up Batch Management and stock determination ?

Our client deals in various food articles and wish to use batch management and shelf life functionality.
    Details are
While doing the goods receipt, batch no. as supplied by vendor will be entered. There is no requirement of batch no. generation. Thus batch no. as supplied by vendor will be used for identifying the stock. It will be also having fix shelf life and will be entered while doing the goods receipt. Now at the time of goods issue for consumption, or stock transfer to other plant system should propose the batch no. for material which will be having earliest expiry date (For ex. on 15.01.2010 we receive the goods with batch no ABC having expiry date as 31.03.2010 and we receive another lot on 20.01.2010 with batch no. XYZ having expiry date on 25.03.2010, then while doing the goods issue for consumption or stock transfer, system should propose the lot with batch no. XYZ and not ABC). How to achieve this?
As I am new to batch management please provide detail configuration steps for batch management and stock determination. We are not using warehouse management.
    Thanks in advance,
    Satish

  • Auto Batch Determination For Stock Transport Order/Replenishment Delivery

    All,
I have an issue with my stock replenishment deliveries (STPO, Stock Transfer Plant to Plant via standard MRP/Procurement process with a Purchase Order that is a Stock Transport Order).
One question I have is what module should the configuration be for Auto Batch Determination on deliveries from STPO's, is it SD or MM? The reason I ask is because I have the SD side working just fine for example if I enter a customer order for this material and issue a delivery against it I get a batch automatically assigned according to your search/sort criteria. I know with a Stock Transport you have different item categories etc. and I have flagged them as relevant for ABD.
I have been racking my brain regarding this and I have went through the configuration for both Inventory Management and Sales and Distribution. I have went through the steps several times. I am not seeing what I am missing any help in this arena would be helpful I am getting the following error message when I go to the batch tab on the replenishment delivery "Batch determination is not possible because there is no search procedure". I am at a loss to what configuration is needed. I keep going through the steps and I am not finding whats missing. Any help in this area would be most grateful.
    Thanks,
    Jeremy

    Hi Jeremy,
you need to configure batch determination in SD and maintain enteries in the trasaction code V/C5 as below
Sales org + Distribution channel + Division + DL (in salesDoc Ty) + Search procedure + tick check batch
Sales org + Distribution channel + Division + NL (in salesDoc Ty) + Search procedure + tick check batch
also check whether the delivery item category is active for auto. batch determination and maintain the batch condition record in transaction code VCH1

  • High volume of batches with Split valuation - impact on system performance

    Hi!
I have a client that is intending to load a new material type from their legacy system which will be automatically batch managed with split valuation.  So, Valuation category will be 'x' and the valuation type will also be the batch number as automatically created on GR.
The concern of the client is the impact on system performance.  Having up to 80,000 batches per material master record (so, 80,000 valuation types will be mainatined with a unique price in the Accounting 1 tab of the MMR) and overall around 1 million batches a year.  I'm not aware of any system performance issues around this myself but there seems to be anecdotal evidence that SAP has advised against using this functionality with high volumes of batches.
Could you please let me know of any potential problems I might encounter, having 1 million batches with split valuation may cause?  Logically, this would increase to tens of millions of batches over time until archived off via SARA.
    Many thanks!
    Anthony

I currently have about 1.5 million batches with split valuation in my system (but it is not the X split), and we archive yearly.
having many batches for one material ( lets say 1000) causes dramatic performace issues during automatic batch determination.
it took about 5 minutes until a batch was returned into a delivery. if the user then wants a different batch and has to carry out batch determination again, then he just works for 10 to 15 minutes on one delivery.
This is mainly caused by the storage location segment of the batches. if one batch gets movedd within a plant thru 3 different locations, then the batch has 3 records in table MCHB. But SAP has a report to reorganize the MCHB table that have zero stock.
The X split has more effect, it is not only the batch table that makes issues in this case. With the x-split SAP adds an MBEW record (material master valuation view) for each new batch.
However, if the design is made to get a certain functionality (here valution at batch level),   then you have to get a proper hardware in place that can give you the performance that is needed.

  • Batch with restricted status not allowed to consumed in Process order/Staged/Deliver

    Hi
My requirement is batch with restricted status can NOT be
    - consumed in process order via MIGO or MB1A
    - Can not be delivered to Customer
    - Can not be allowed / available to be staged
Together with your input i want to make development strong/defect free/consider all aspects.....kindly suggest
    Thanks & Regards
    Prashant Gupta

I still believe that this is configurable  I believe that a PP-PI person can control that restricted stock is not allowed for use in orders.
Restricted stock should already not be allowed to be sent to a customer.
I'm not sure what you mean by staged.  That can be different in different places. I assume you mean some type of stock transfer to a different storage location?
You can also use batch search strategies to prevent selecting restricted stock as well in almost all areas.
Again, there should not be a need for custom development.

  • How can we distinguish quality stock in APO with unrestricted stock

    Hi Friends,
Please tell me the steps required to distinguish quality stock in APO with unrestricted stock.
    With regards,
    Balaji Sajja
Edited by: Balaji Sajja on Mar 29, 2011 5:49 AM

    Hi Balaji,
I am not sure about which steps you want exactly to differentiate the stocks However, I can tell you the differentiation of stocks by ATP category.APO maps stocks as orders, and uses ATP categories to differentiate between the various stock types. SAP APO manages storage locations as sub-locations and batches as versions.
we can differentiate the Unrestricted Stock & Quality Stock by ATP category.
Quality Stock = ATP Category-CF - InspctnStk - Stock in quality inspection &
Unrestricted Stock = ATP Category CC-Stock- Valuated, unrestricted-use stock
In any view, product view/receipt view, under ATP category column, you will see these ATP Categories by which you can differentiate them.

  • Batches having No stock still showing in BMBC

    Hi ,
In my senario for material x , having 5 batches.
Out of these 5 batches 3 is having stock and 2 dont have any stock. Still that 2 batches i am getting in MMBE and BMBC   with 0 stock
In this case this problem has happened with only one customer material not for all
Can any body tell me how to avoid these batches to reflect it in BMBC and MMBE.
    Thanks
    Amit

There is a section of BMBC that will only show those batches with stock.  Once you run the selection list, from the menu, select Batch Info Cockpit --> Display selection result for stock
There is also a stock tab or screen available that has an indicator "No zero stock lines".  You should make sure this tab exists in your selection screen.  You can set this to True in a variant and save the variant as a default.  You should not have any zero line items displayed then.
You should only see material with stock now I believe.

  • Items with  zero stock quantity show negative stock value in Stock reports

When running Stock reports for controlling the stock value towards the GL accounts, some items appear with zero stock quantity, but the report still shows a stock value  (negative value in my case)
How can this happen, and how can I correct this situation ?
System parameters are :   negative stock is not allowed, Items with zero cost price not allowed. On item level average cost price method is used.
    P.K.Johnsen

    Hi Johnsen,
I believe you have checked the" Manage Inventory by warehouse". I have noticed this issue in SAP B1 2005B but this is rectified in 2007B. The system behaves in this way as the system maintains item cost for the item for all warehouses and even if the stock is not present in the warehouse, the system would still show you a value for the same. Hope this helps. please search the forum. You'll find related threads.
    Thanks,
    Joseph
