BBM and MSN aren't working

Hello everyone, I've got a BB Curve 8520, and here is the problem: Im using wireless and my bbm and msn arent working even though I can browse the internet and i can log in through nimbuzz. I dont think its the wireless' problem because it was working just a while ago, it stopped working when i changed sim cards but then i put my originial one back again. I was hoping someone could help me with this as it is quite urgent.

Ahh, that is a lot clearer.
Unfortunately the only people that can now sort this are Apple Support.
The Messages used to appear in Mountain Lion and the Messages version  there.
Back then it did seem that most of the telephone support people knew about the issue and how to sort it.
I would suggest phoning back and asking to be put though to a Level 2 person.
In iTunes when you go to the Store page there is a Menu at the bottom.
It includes Help > Support.
I have suggested to people using this route as you can eventually get an email link.
It takes you to a Long menu page in the first instance and the Bottom item is "Contact Support".

On the right hand pane is Contact iTunes Store support.
If after this you follow the options that list "Manage Account" you will eventually get a link to email Support.
Basically Apple have flagged you account for some reason.
It seems it will only effect Messages and the iMessages account and FaceTime  with sometimes Game Center as well

    It sounds like it is time to restore from the backups you made just before making the disk changes.
    You can re-partition and restore your backups.  If you didn't make backups first (you were warned that it might damage things and to make sure you had a good backup) then you will need to repartition everything and reinstall from scratch...

  • ITunes Store does not connect (Safari and MSN don't work either)

    Hi when i try to connect to the iTunes store through iTunes it says there was a connection error and it times out. Also MSN and Safari do not work; MSN says there is not a connection and Safari just doesnt load any pages. However programs such as Adium and Firefox work fine. Now i assummed it would be a problem with my router, but the weird thing is, iTunes and MSN work fine on the PC i have. Also the programs worked fine on my Macbook whilst i was at uni last week so i am not sure what the problem is. Any help is greatly appreciated. Cheers.

    I've had the same problem for a few months now. I keep getting an error message that the network connection has been reset. However, I'm still connected to the internet on my iBook, it's getting really frustrating.

    There is almost no chance it can be recovered, except at a cost far greater than a new keyboard.  Once wet, spraying with a cleaner will not do any good and most likely will make the situation worse.
    Best thing at this point is go to your Apple store, or the on-line store, and buy a new keyboard.  Water damage is not covered by the warranty or AppleCare.

  • Itunes match and store aren't working

    I can't seem to access anything on my iTunes account. First of all, iTunes Match quit working and nothing would work in iCloud. So I turned it off. When I tried to turn it back on, it would just get stuck on "Accessing iTunes Store..." and nothing would happen. I've tried to sign out and back in, same problem. I've read almost every troubleshoot discussion board and nothing has been working for me. I can't even delete iTunes and redownload because it says it's a requirement for Mac.
    Does ANYBODY out there know what I'm talking about and KNOW how to fix the issues?? I have a MacBook Pro and a iMac. It works completely fine on my iPhone 5s. HELP!

    For othe other problems try:
    Try:

    Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
    Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
    All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

  • Updated programs... now iPhoto and Limewire aren't working!?

    I did the Software update today, and it updated a few of my programs. I wasn't really paying attention to which ones it was updating but I think iPhoto was one of them. (I'm using iPhoto 5) Well just a little while ago I tried to upload some new pictures, but when I plugged in my camera, the disk drive came up on my desktop, and iPhoto opened, but it never brought me to the import screen. The reason I'm posting this here is that I also just realized that Limewire won't open anymore either. It bounces for a little and then stops.... never opening. I tried repairing permissions, and it worked for a while, repairing a lot, but it didn't fix this problem.
    I had this problem with Limewire a while ago and some other apps and it turned out that it was a problem with Java, but I don't remember any problems with iPhoto (of course I was using iPhoto 4 back then). This could be affecting other apps that I'm just not aware of yet. I use iPhoto pretty much every day and I use Limewire a lot as well.
    This is a big problem.
    Any suggestions would be great.

    Hi everyone! GOOD NEWS. iPhoto and Limewire are somewhat working again. Here's what I did and what the result was:
    iPhoto - I read on a post in a different thread that iPhoto 5 has problems with videos since the update. I deleted all the videos off of my digital camera and it would update fine. I guess I am just waiting for a new update to come out to fix that, but I may start using Image Capture, as it was recommended in that other thread.
    Limewire - I didn't know what else to do... so I decided to go to Limewire.com and download it again. I didn't uninstall the Limewire I had and it turned out there was a newer version of the program, so I got the update and now it works fine.
    But... I still have one major problem. Final Cut Express HD doesn't open now either! I didn't realize this sooner because I just finished a huge project in FCE so I was taking a break from it haha, but that program is the whole reason I have a Mac and I need to get it working again! It starts to open, the Final Cut Express HD logo thing comes up, but then I get the "spinning beachball for a while" and the "unexpectedly quit" error. What do I do!? I'm thinking maybe I will repost this in the FCE area later.

    So, I go and buy my new laptop today, with hopes of loading all my music that I backed up onto 4 DVDs. I go to load my music from the DVDs and they don't work. Whatever. So I go and follow Apple's instructions on how to backup my library on my iPod, then transfer it over to my computer. I followed their instructions, but to no avail. Nothing worked. I can run iTunes by itself flawlessly, but when I plug in my iPod, it automatically freezes my iTunes. I can't do anything with it now. I need some advice, because Google keeps leading me to dead ends. My iPod works fine, but not with the laptop/iTunes. I'm using the latest version of iTunes for 64 bit Vista.

  • Touchpad and keyboard aren't working properly][Only one battery charges

    When charging cable is plugged in, I have no problems, but when I detach it, keyboard and touchpad stops working.If I put my flashdrive into keyboard dock it will do sounds like it's connecting and disconnecting looped. And the second weirdness: it shows that I don't have the second battery.. I checked it in bios and there were displayed two batteries(32wh and 33wh)..I wonder if it's really only one battery charging all the time..  I just bought it yesterday and it is killing me..

    I came across your post about the Notebook, and wanted to assist you! I have looked into your issue about your HP Split 13-m010dx x2  and issues with the charging while detached. When the Tablet part is detached you will not see the other battery and it will not charge as it is detached. The setting you have it on will drain the battery very quickly, Change the setting from High performance to Hp recommended will help. Here is a link to update the battery. Here is a link to troubleshoot the battery. Plug the power adapter directly into a functioning wall outlet. Do not plug it into a power strip, surge protector, or secondary power source as this could cause and issue. The keyboard and TouchPad will not work when the Tablet is detached. This is by default. If this does not help, please use the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:

  • My Keyboard and trackpad aren't working.

    I recently restarted my MacBook and when it restarted and booted up the keyboard and trackpad won't work. I have restarted my computer since then and nothing. I took out the battery and unplugged it and rebooted it and still it won't work. The only button that works is the power button. I tried to put in my install discs and I can't choose to restore because the trackpad won't work...

    I am currently having this same issue. What can I do to fix this??? Brand new macbook unibody.

  • Re-buillt and bookmarks aren't "working"

    Alas my machine recently died, and I have to re-build it.
    I am still not really 100% happy with the way I have done things to get Firefox working again, but that isn't the problem.
    The bookmarks menu.
    Luckily I have a laptop and its bookmarks are pretty well the same as the desktop's. So I imported them.
    That was possibly the start of my problem/s.
    In the bookmark list, I have two basic/main sections:
    Internet
    and
    Intranet
    When I was (note: WAS) at a site, and wanted to bookmark it, I would "bookmark this page" and then use the drop down menus to find the directory where I wanted to put it.
    Now..... I don't see the list of imported addresses.
    What's going on?
    I am also having problems on the laptop with the latest version (18) and google, so I am sticking with 17 for now.

    I'd love to show you what I mean, but I don't think we are "on the same page".
    I press Ctrl-D (bookmark this page) and get the little pop up window.
    There is a Name and FOLDER field.
    The FOLDER field has BOOKMARKS in it and just to the right there is a little drop down thingy.
    Then to the right again is another Bigger drop down button.
    The first one shows me a semi-resemblance of the bookmark list I see when looking at the bookmark list/menu.
    I can't see/find my "folders" (internet and intranet) and their sub-folders anywhere.
    So I am guessing something has gone wrong somewhere.
    Sure, I accept I have stuffed up, but why is it this easy to mess it up?
    I went to the laptop, EXPORT AS HTML. Copied the file to the desktop and IMPORT AS HTML.
    It shouldn't be THAT difficult.
    As I said, I would love to show you, but I am still re-building my machine.
    (Just gotta love windows)
    and half my other utilities aren't installed yet.

  • Images in mail and safari aren't working.

    Some images aren't displaying in mail and safari. Jpg's don't seem to be working, but most gifs are (with a few exceptions).
    As far as I'm aware no one who uses the computer has changed anything which, as far as I can think, would have any effect on this. I have all the available updates.

    Reapply the 10.4.6 update, using the combo update. Repair permissions via Disk Utility after the double restart.

  • My BBM and internet is not working???

    Hi , I just bought a Blackberry Curve 9300 of an indivigual yesterday..The phone is unlocked to all networks but for some reason i can not connect it to the internet. I have registered the phone with my network company (vodafone) but still it wont connect to the net. It connects to the internet fine via wifi.. & Apparently according because of this , this is why my bbm is also not working. 
    Help will be much appreciated

    Are you still having the issues with BlackBerry Messenger and the Browser? The Browser issues could be service book related? You may have to contact your service provider to have them send you theses service book? When you try to use BlackBerry Messenger are you getting an error message? What happens when you try to use BlackBerry Messenger?

  • BBM and browser won't work properly

    Hi guys, so i have the 8900 curve with tmobile uk, my contract does include unlimited internet/mail and the £5 data plan. For some strange reason 2 days ago blackberry messenger started playing up, my messages wouldnt deliver straight away, and they would take a good 10 mins to deliver and recieve. Same with the internet it would take ages to load or it wouldn't actually work, i sometimes can't even get into email settings via setup. I have connected my blackberry for now via my home wireless but i want to be able to use these programs without having my wifi connection on. Does anyone have any ideas of how i can fix this?

    Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
    There's pretty much no diagnosing those -- they are the equivalent of the random errors in Windows for which tracing the root cause is fruitless. Basically, these are the last out in the programming code -- some event occurred for which there is no handler in the code. The fix is a code update that handles the event...but, again, knowing what the event is is pretty much impossible. So, there are a few things to try:
    Sometimes, the code simply becomes corrupt and needs to be refreshed -- just like a reboot:
    Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
    There might be an updated code set from the carrier -- check them via this portal:

    The toughest possible cause is a badly behaving app. To find it, there are a couple of options. One is to see if you can read the log file:
    Go to the home screen. Hold down the alt key and type 'lglg'. (You will not see anything while you type).This will bring up the log file. Scroll down (probably many pages) untill you see a line that says 'uncaught execption'. Click on this line. The name of the app will be in the info. Alternative methods for bringing up the logs are in this KB:

    The other method is to remove apps one at a time, waiting a while in between (I usually recommend a week), until the problem ceases...thereby discovering the offending app.
