Best affordable business email hosting

I'm looking for an affordable email hosting solution for my company.
*I need emails to come from [email protected] - it cannot be [email protected] on behalf of [email protected].*
I need our current Outlook folder structures to be the same on the iPhones and Outlook (read mails appear the same on both, moving an email from the inbox to a specific folder, etc.) It would be nice if the same thing happened in a webmail client as well.
I have approx 25 users in total - 5 have iPhones. The iPhone users outlook .pst files are between 2-5 GB. The remaining 20 users have about the same mailbox sizes, about 5 more would benefit from a IMAP setup and the rest would be fine with a POP3 setup based on multiple backups of the pst files.
gmail is out for requirement #1
mobileme is out for the same reason.
In house exchange is too expensive.
Hosted exchange is a little more than we want to spend (I've seen around $15 per user w/ a 2 GB mailbox limit. The majority of the users won't benefit from Exchange and I can't justify $4500 a year when we're using the included email hosting from our website hosting for $0.)
I checked our Fusemail and Simplicato. Both were the most affordable and seemed like the right fit. $2 per month per user w/ 10 GB and 5 GB storage respectively. I found a several bad reviews saying that both services were unreliable. Many of the those reviews said they went with Mailtrust and are much happier.
http://www.mailtrust.com/noteworthy/features/mobile
Calenders and contacts don't synch w/ iPhones. Push mail and instant sync is not supported w/ the iPhone. (Push email sounds nice, but the decreased battery life would probably stop us from using it.) If necessary, we can use the hybrid account - some users on hosted exchange around $15/mo and others on the basica imap account for $3/mo. The iphone users would get get all the features they want.
*Inhouse hosting*
We used to use IPswitch Imail, but stopped hosting it ourself when we got a virus. We can implement that again w/ some antivirus software, but that involves $1000 for a new workstation to run it (I don't think a P4 2.4 GHz workstation we have lying around will run it so smoothly.) It would be the cheapest the implement at around $1500.
A checked out a couple other packages, SmarterMail 5.x seems like a good alternative. It claims to have iphone over the air sync. It would be around $1500 - $2000 for the new workstation and software. It seems like a good alternative, but it comes with the headaches of hosting it ourselves. https://www.smartertools.com/SmarterMail/SystemRequirements.aspx Taking a look at that, it says the max incoming connection can be 10 on non windows server based setups. I guess that didn't affect us before because we used POP3.
Any recommendations? Any experience with the companies I mentioned?

Take a look at www.ExchangeMyMail.com. You can have the domain that you're looking for (provided that it's not already taken) and their AS Push service for iPhone and Tech support for setup is outstanding.
As it is an Exchange service you get full calendar and contact synching along with Push mail and a good web based account/domain admin tool. I have not found Push to be a battery hog in any way. It is far more efficient than time-based fetch on both performance and power.
Pricing at EMM is reasonable as well. Let us know how you make out.
Good luck.

  • Cox BUSINESS Email Setup for iPad

I have a *Cox Business* internet account (business accounts are *different from* residential accounts - different servers, etc) with a static ip address and I cannot send email from my iPad via wi-fi Airport network. (Wi-Fi only iPad, not 3G.)
There was a time when I had it working, but a simple one sentence email would take over 10 minutes to send. It was odd. Now it's not sending at all.
My incoming email is through my business email account (via GoDaddy) and it works well. No issues.
Currently, the outgoing settings on my iMac work great for my iMac, but don't seem to translate to the iPad. These iMac setting are:
    *iMac Outgoing Email Settings:*
    Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smarthost.coxmail.com
    Custom port: 25
    Authentication: none
*iPad Outgoing settings* that previously worked (sort of):
    Host name: smarthost.coxmail.com
    User: blank
    Pass: blank
    Use SSL: Off
Authentication: MD5 Challenge-Response (it will NOT set to password - will not "stick" or save on exit)
    Server Port: 587
    +Any help would be appreciated.+

I had actually written a message previously that I just deleted explaining that what you had written doesn't work. I've tried it several times and it made no difference.
Then, I did something that I have not attempted or noticed:
I reset the outgoing cox settings to match my iMac settings listed above (that previously would not work), BUT in the order of listed outgoing servers my mobileme outgoing server (which actually works for outgoing MobileMe emails; don't know why) was listed first in the Primary slot.
It was "On" and I turned it "off" leaving only my cox outgoing settings turned on and it is in the secondary/backup slot. I then sent a test email and it worked just fine.
So the answer is that the settings for ipad outgoing cox business email are the same as your mac/computer, but do not have your MobileMe outgoing server turned on and, for some reason, do not have the cox server set in the primary slot. For example, if I put the cox server in the primary slot then it doesn't work anymore. Weird.
If you do not have MobileMe then I'm not sure what to say, but I have tried these settings with cox being the only outgoing server in the primary slot and it did not work... For me.

  • HT4191 how do I not sync notes with my email? I have a business email on my iphone as well as his iphone. Now all of my notes are on his phone, and all of his notes are gone. We have never adjusted any settings, I only added the shared email account to hi

How do I not sync notes with my email? I have a business email on my iphone as well as my husbands iphone. Now all of my notes are on his phone, and all of his notes he previously has on his iphone are gone. We have never adjusted any settings or hooked it up to itunes, I only added the shared email account to his phone. Help???

    Hi StoneLeadyFarms,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like notes on your devices may have synced when the email account was added, as described here:
    iOS: Syncing Notes
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4191
Notes are associated with an IMAP email account or iCloud account. To sync Notes, enable Notes for each account in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars or Settings > iCloud.
You can stop syncing notes by tapping Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars or Settings > iCloud, tapping the email address that you added, and switching Notes to the off position.
Additionally, if your husband has backed up his iPhone to iTunes or iCloud, the steps in this article can help with recovering the lost notes from his device:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes

    Best Regards,
    Jeremy

  • Can Business Catalyst host a sub-domain?

Can BC host a sub-domain? If so then we can make arrangements to update our domain DNS and point to that address.
Please advise whether BC can host sub-domains? We have a parent domain that we currently use for our marketing website although require a domain DNS to point to BC to make it live. Would a sub-domain be sufficient?

Thx for your quick reply ! It helps a lot !

  • Yahoo Small Business Email on MacBook Air

All of a sudden yesterday my Yahoo Small Business Email stopped working on Macbook Air.
Works fine on MacBook Pro, iPad 2 and iPhone 6.
Spent an hour with Yahoo Support. (My domain is hosted by Yahoo).
Does anyone have the same issue? It is (or was) a POP account. I deleted and added and deleted and added and deleted and added back.
    No luck. Running Yosemite 10.10.2.

FWIW....I did do searches for a couple of days to this problem. One suggested fix was use IMAP instead of POP. Didn't work.

  • Replying using my business email address from my iCloud account?

I am about to switch from MobileMe to iCloud. I know I can set up my business email to forward from my gmail account to my iCloud account.  How do I set it up my iCloud account to reply to my business mail using my business email address? Is this possible?

    ABW1 wrote:
I have answered my own question by looking at other threads on this topic - it appears that it isn't possible, which means I will delay switching to i Cloud till the bitter end.  Pity as I've upgraded to Lion to make it possible.  I hope Apple do something about this - particularly as 'user friendly' is one of their watch words.
No email system that I know of allows you to use their servers without their email address, at best you'll get a 'relay' message, and iCloud does not support POP (if indeed you were using the POP access feature in MM, which put the relay in the headers)
But nothing is stopping you from adding gmail to icloud in Mail and combining the inboxes, that way you can reply to any email from any account, but please use Imap, not POP

  • Can't sync calendar for work email hosted by gmail

    Good mornign everyone
I know there has been a few posts here and there about the google calender sync. I tried following all those instructions and nothing seems to be working.
    1. Does the email password it's asking you for the same password you use to log into your email account with? Or is it that weird password that you get when you sync your phone to gmail?
    2. when my work email is hosted by gmail, but it's actually @somethingelse.com... is my servier still m.google.com?
Please help... has anyone else synced their calendar based on a work email hosted by google?
Thank you so much... I don't want to give up my Z10, but I can't work without my calendar

Try to enter something in your z10 and wait 5 min. See if it shows on Google.
I also have a Gmail business address with [email protected] My contacots and emails work fine but the calendar doesn't want to work. It works one-way only (from the Z10 to Google but not the other way around)
I am reading forums and support sites for a week now. I have tried all methods, with no success.
See, I live in Waterloo. I had an iPhone 4S and I switched to the Z10 as soon as it was available; I have MANY friends and relatives that work for RIM and I NEED to support them but I can't understand why an isue as important as this doesn't have an official answer from Blackberry.
I understand that this could be an issue with Google trying to sabotage RIM but where is the official explanation?

  • Connect to business email

I want to access my business email address on this laptop.  Where do I go to access as I have the portal login and password?

    Hi,
Based on your description, I’m a little confused with this issue. Did you mean that access Outlook Web Access
website (as https://<your server name>/owa) via your user name and password?
On current situation, I suggest that you should contact with IT support of your company, then confirm the OWA
website and any other you want to know.
If anything I misunderstand, please provide more details and don’t hesitate to let me know.
    Hope this helps.

  • Cannot send email SMTP to yahoo business email

i have yahoo business email, with 3 email accounts. iphone 3g will happily read the emails of the one account i want it to, but i cannot successfully reply or create new emails, send fails.
i tried to create a gmail account and use its smtp server. this worked for the gmail account, but still cannot send mail to the yahoo account.
tried to delete the outbound email server, but seems to be a bug in the interface - no matter what changes are made in the smtp detail, (even 'delete server') the smtp server for yahoo wil not delete. accordiing to some posts i read, supposedly if main smtp server is deleted, others in chain will pick up. this is not happening, when outbound function fails, it does not try with other smtp servers. yet send does work from gmail account!
what is the correct setting for yahoo? why cant i disable yahoo's standard smtp server as preprogrammed into iphone?

I have the very same issue. Can't delete or modify the "primary" account. All attempts to send result in the same, "Cannot Send Mail" message. As yet, I have heard nothing and the latest update ... 2.0.1 ... had no affects. Let me know if you find the solution.

How do you email photos from an iphone to a business email so that the photo shows up as an attachment vs. a part of the body of the email?

Eric, thanks for the info about the pictures, it worked.   The mail icon is not the one that came with the mac(it looks like a stamp with an eagle) this appears at a notepad with a ruler, paintbrush and pencil.  I can not open it, I did not download it and now I can not turn off the computer with shutdown I have to manually turn if off by pressing the power button.   This can not be normal.  Any suggestions.  thanks,  Ellen

I use more than one computer to access my four business email accounts. When one computer is on (and mail is open) emails do not get through to the other computers. This is fine, but how do I make one of the other computers the dominant one?

I assume these are POP accounts and all computers are set to remove from Server after downloading.
So on the non dominant ones... Mail Preferences>Accounts, highlight an account, Advanced tab, uncheck remove from Server, just have the main dominant one remove from server.
    Or get/setup IMAP accounts.
