Bestbuy Pre-Order?

Ok so I just got of the phone with AT&T and said the only places you can Pre-Order a iphone 4 is from Apple or AT&T so if u plan on Pre-Ordering from Bestbuy good luck the only reason i want it from Bestbuy is because of the protection program! It ***** i wonder how long i will have to wait if i dont Pre-Order!

with the iPad, Best Buys did receive stock to sell on launch day. I'd expect to see some announcements in the week or so before launch clarifying whether it's worth lining up at Best Buy, etc. Just watch the headlines on places like TUAW.com--they'll probably even have a "where you can get it" story sometime June 21-23.

    Everyone,
    How many emails did everyone get in regards to their BB iPhone 5 Pre-order?
    I was first to place my pre-order yesterday morning at my local BestBuy.  Upon placing the order I got 2 emails immediately.
    One emails subject was:  "Your Presales Agreement from Best Buy Mobile" which basically showed I placed a pre-order but there was no order reference number on that email.
    The second emails subject was: "We received your order; Wait to pick up".  This email came imediately after the previous email and contains the date (9/14/12) of the order AND the Order Number.  So I feel like all is good with my pre-order.
    Oddly, today I receieved ANOTHER "We received your order; Wait to pick up" email with today's date (9/14/12) and a completely DIFFERENT order number than yesterdays email.
    So does this mean I have TWO orders reserved at my local Bestbuy?  My feeling is to just leave things alone and wait to see what I hear next Thursday evening/Friday.
    Anyone else experience anything like this?

  • $10 Rewards for Destiny pre-order and $10 Bestbuy Giftcard with Evil Within pre-order

    I have yet to receive either of these.  I understand my Destiny purchase still says pending (although I received my $10 rewards for Madden 15 within a week of me picking up purchase).  When should I receive the $10 rewards certificate? 
    Also, I pre-ordered Evil Within months ago and I see now that anyone that pre-orders get a $10 giftcard.  Shouldn't I still get this? 
    If anyone can help and correct this, it would be greatly appreciated.  My member # - (removed per forum guidelines)

    Whenever a BestBuy.com order is cancelled (or returned), any funds held for that order are automatically refunded to the original form of payment. This process typically takes 2-3 business days for gift cards, while reward certificates are applied back to your My Best Buy account in the same length of time. For debit and credit cards, the exact timeframe required before the funds are available again is dependent on the card's issuing bank.
    If you no longer have the original gift card, then we can issue a replacement with the remaining balance.   • Pre-order at BestBuy???

    Just wondering, because I heard that BestBuy will have 30 16gb and 15 32gb. Does this mean that only 45 who pre-order will get their phones on launch day. Or are the 45 phones available for those who didn't pre-order and just walk into that store that day to purchase one?

    but let's just say they officially announce they will offer pre-orders, along with a few other stores, does their inventory include or disclude pre-orders? In other words do I have to be one of the first 45 people to pre-order to get my phone on launch day or do all pre-orders get their phone on launch day and the 45 in inventory are available for sale to the people who didn't pre-order?

  • Bestbuy threatens my iPhone4s pre order

    I pre ordered the iPhone 4s the first day pre orders were available. I was told then my order would be fulfilled within a week. Since then I have received numerous emails from bestbuy apologizing for the wait and reassuring me my phone will arrive. Here we are a month later with no phone and I receive an email this morning stating that bestbuy is going to cancel my pre order if it is not fulfilled within 5 days. Are you serious? I am a loyal customer, who is patiently awaiting the arrival of a product I intend on purchasing from you, I have repeatedly stood by and seen promised shipping dates come and go, and now I am essentially threatened that my order is going to be canceled.... By no fault of my own may I mind you. I would like this problem resolved quickly. This is extremely poor business etiquette.

  • Can i use bestbuy 10.00 rewards towards pre order games?

    i know at the store i cant use it towards pre order til i go pick it up and use it there but can i use the 10.00 right way for pre ordering and ship it to the house?

    As you mentioned, pre-orders can't be placed with My Best Buy certificates in-store.  However, if you would like to place an order on BestBuy.com for in-store pickup, then you can submit the certificate as payment ahead of the game's release.
    Certificates traditionally have a 60 day expiration period so it is important that you check that when you receive your email notification of a certificate being issued so you don't let them go unspent.

    Presently, it appears that this title is only available for pre-order with ship to home. That being said, this would not be able to be pre-ordered in store, or online for store pickup.   • Persona Q taught me to never pre order anything at bestbuy

    unless its call of duty, madden or fifa.
    this is the 3rd and final time that i attempt to pre order a game such as persona Q.  I pre ordered the game back in AUGUST and after the whole wrong sku debacle
    I called today only to be told that they did not get a copy of either the standard or regular edition of the game and had none on the way.
    Meanwhile, i walked right into gamestop and bought a copy of the collectors edition.

  • Why is a pre-order phone no longer allowed to be shipped to my work address??

    On Friday, April 4, I went into my local Verizon Store (Orlando MetroWest) to pre-order the new Samsung Galaxy S5.  The order was placed and I was given a copy of the receipt which looked very accurate.  The sales rep had read back to me the Bill To and Ship To address in the store, and it was correct, but didn't show up on the receipt given.  When the confirmation e-mail came to me, I noticed that the Ship To info had my company name, and an address, but my name appeared nowhere on it.  I called to question this when the store opened on April 7, and all of the answers were "I don't know.  I'll have to research and get back to you."  When there were no calls returned I checked again and received the same response.  When I left my office for the day, I still had zero answers.
    I drove to the same local store and re-hashed what I'd tried to accomplish during the morning.  I was told there was no way to amend the shipping label once the order was input, despite the fact NO orders for this phone have yet to be fulfilled, since they are still in the warehouse.  I work in a nine story building with every single office working for the same global company.  There is no chance whatsoever that the FedEx delivery would ever make it to me without my name being on the label.  I don't even think FedEx would try.  It was just foolishness at the time the order was originally input (by the Verizon Store).
    During the morning there was mention of possibly cancelling the entire order and starting from scratch, which I was totally OK with, as even that delay would be quicker than someone signing for the box and it sitting God Knows Where for days/weeks.  When I said we should re-visit that option, I was now informed that it is a "Verizon Policy" to avoid fraud and NO pre-order phone could be delivered to any address except the account address of the phone owner.  That was surprising to hear since it had been done (albeit incorrectly) just a couple of days earlier.  The answer to that was, "Oh, she made a mistake in trying a work-around".  Since I was recording our complete interaction (love that feature on my current phone), I asked manager Mike to verify a third time that he could not send a phone to my office address where I am during FedEx hours, and I could not adjust the existing order to come to the store for pickup.  The answers were No and No.
    My last two Verizon phones were shipped to my office, but I do understand that some company policies do change.  I just think this is a doofus change.  I also think it was pretty foolish for the original sales rep to miss putting a person's name on the shipping label.  I have trouble believing that the computer order system would even allow her to make that mistake.  But Verizon is in phone sales exclusively and not in the corporate shipping business.  Perhaps this is some needed training.

    Epilogue:
    My problem has been solved, and I'm now happy to have my pre-order of the new Samsung Galaxy device completed in a way that totally satisfies me.  But I am kicking myself for not going this route in the first place.  I won't make that mistake again in the future FOR SURE.
    After the manager in the local Verizon Store (Orlando MetroWest) said there was nothing he/they could do to overcome the error made earlier by their store sales representative, because it was a pre-order and nothing can be changed/corrected for the initial input.  They had failed to put my name on the shipping label requested for FedEx delivery, meaning that the box containing my phone would probably NEVER reach my hands once if was delivered to a nine-story office building with many many employees.
    I simply went to my local BestBuy store and mentioned I had a very few questions to be answered prior to attempting to place a pre-order of my new Samsung phone.  I asked if the phone could be set for delivery to my office and the answer was a quick YES.  I asked if the phone could be set for pickup at the BB store and, again, the answer was a quick YES.  They were initially surprised to hear that any company would say otherwise. BestBuy requires a photo ID when they take a phone order, and a signature is required when FedEx makes its delivery, so they assured me the Verizon "Fraud Policy" quoted to me was not a standard retail answer AT ALL.  Thirteen minutes after I walked to the mobile phone department, I was walking out with all my confirmation details for a new phone.  The purchase was less out-of-pocket since BB doesn't do that VZW arrangement of paying $50 extra and then getting that back as a mail-in rebate later.  Seems no other carrier except VZW is charging that extra fee for this new device.  On top of that savings, BB gives you a $10 gift card just for doing the pre-order with them.  Bonus!!
    I may (or may not) receive my phone a few days later than those ordering at the Verizon Store, but in my situation I was assured to get mine late due to the shipping label error.  No matter what, I'm going to be pleased with my purchase, and BestBuy just earned additional respect with the way they accurately handled my Verizon purchase.  VZW it still a quality mobile phone provider, but (in my personal opinion) they are extremely weak in the guest service side of the business . . . which almost negates those other positive things.

  • Samsung Galaxy S6 pre-order and demo unit?

    The pre-orders go up tomorrow for AT&T (and T-Mobile) but none of the stores around me have ANY information. They've also not heard anything about the demo units they are supposed to have tomorrow. According to the Samsung website both of my local stores will be getting a demo unit but neither of them have any idea about it.
    I don't care so much about the demo unit but I want to know what pre-order bonus Best Buy will be including? I've heard some talks about the wireless charger being included if you pre-order but T-Mobile is offering up on free year of Netflix if you pre-order through them. Could we get a clarification please?

    If you pre-order Destiny on any console, you get a $10 certificate. Does this apply to the limited edition version as well?

    With the recent additions of the Limited and Ghost Editions of Destiny, it’s no surprise there would be questions about your My Best Buy benefits when pre-ordering the different versions! Like everyone else, I’m pretty excited to check out Destiny, although I only went with the Standard Edition. I’m beginning to wonder if I should have splurged for at least the Limited Edition.
    To answer your question, yes, the Limited Edition should also apply to the $10 My Best Buy Reward Certificate bonus when pre-ordering with Best Buy. To my knowledge, all physical versions of Destiny, including the Ghost and Limited Edition, qualify for the promotion.

    When we announced the Gamers Club Unlocked enhancements, including the 20% discount on new games, we provided an FAQ here on our forum.  One of the questions was regarding existing pre-orders.  Find the whole article here, but please see below for the answer to your question.
    Q: If I have already pre-ordered games, will the 20% off be applied to those orders?
    A: This will depend on whether you placed these pre-orders in-store or through BestBuy.com
    In-Store:
    If you pre-ordered in-store, you will receive the 20% off benefit as long as you are an active Gamers Club Unlocked member when you pick up your pre-order. You will need to ensure your My Best Buy account is added to the purchase when the game is picked up.
    BestBuy.com:
    If you pre-ordered on BestBuy.com for either Store Pickup or shipping, we are not able to add this benefit to your existing order. You will need to either cancel and re-do your pre-order or return and repurchase the game once it is fulfilled to get the 20% off.   • Call of Duty Atlas Pro pre-orderi​ng issues

    I've had some issues trying to pre-order the Atlas Pro edition of Call of Duty Advanced Warfare. I went in store to preorder it that edition and was told I couldn't that I would have to do it online. The woman looked on the online store and said it was listed as "Coming Soon". She told me to wait a few days and check again. 
    I waited a few days and looked back on bestbuy.com it still was listed as "Coming Soon". I called Best Buy customer service support and told me that it was still listed as "Coming Soon" and that they couldn't order it for me over the phone. I was told again to wait a few days or go into the store and preorder it. I couldn't preorder in the store because of the "Coming Soon" listing
    This past weekend it was listed as "Coming Soon" and I checked a couple of more times it was finally listed as "Add to Cart" I begin to purchase the item only to have it mysteriously disspear during the checkout. This happened 3 times on Saturday until the game was finally listed as "Coming Soon" again.
    I've checked frequently the past few days only to see the game as "Coming Soon" and today I find it listed as "Sold Out Online". I've been given the runaround about pre-ordering this item and wasted more time than I should of only to find it "Sold Out". Can anyone look into this before I give up and go pre-order from Amazon?

  • Issues with gaming pre-order shipping - improvements needs to be made

    Titanfall comes out today. I pre-ordered this game a few weeks ago on BestBuy.com because the 20% off and the $10 certificate were too hard to pass up. I placed my order, put expedited shipment since I knew I couldn't make it to Best Buy after work on Tuesday (I carpool right now) and called it a day.
    Except here's the thing. Not only did the game not ship in time to arrive by today, it shipped UPS Standard instead of expedited. Talking to some others this seems to be a trend. 
    Certificates, 20% off, these are all great incentives to pre-order my games at Best Buy, but not being able to meet release day shipping even for Elite Plus members who get free expedited shipping?  That isn't even counting the fact that Best Buy didn't ship expedited like they were supposed to. Now I won't get the biggest release of 2014 so far until tomorrow. A day later than I would from most other retailers. These issues really need to be improved and it is largely an operational thing; the games have been sitting in your warehouse for at least a week, why my game didn't ship until 3pm Central time on Monday is beyond me.

If expedited shipping is selected at the time of checkout, this means you can typically expect to receive your copy within 2-3 business days of its release.     I've had the chance to review both of your accounts and can confirm that your orders were, indeed, shipped via expedited shipping. Depending on on your proximity to the fulfillment center that processed your order, UPS Ground may be listed as the shipping method rather than UPS Second Day on UPS' tracking site. Rest assured though that your copies of Titanfall are all expected to arrive within the 2-3 day window provided when you placed your orders.
