Bex report query

Hi Experts,
I have my Source Data like this
Mat.Model......Status
Mat1..............WIP
Mat2..............WIP
Mat3..............Completed
Mat4..............Completed
Mat1..............Received
Mat2..............WIP
Mat3..............WIP
Mat4..............Completed
I would like to view on my report like this
Mat.Model..............WIP...Completed....Received
Mat1........................1..............0................1
Mat2........................2..............0.................0
Mat3........................1..............1.................0
Mat4........................0..............2.................0
I have tried getting the count of the status using replacement path. All i'm getting is the count but don't know how to split the status.
Can anyone help me to achieve this report please.

Hi ,
You need to create three exception aggregation key figures.
Say WIP is the key figure . Its Aggregation type is Sum and Exception Aggregation is Counter(Values unequal to Zero). And give Aggregation reference Characteristics as Your Status .
Exception Aggregatio will help resolve your issue. But i am not very sure which Aggregation Reference Characteristics you need to use either status or Mateial.
We can achieve the same in BEx query designer by creating formula. You will find aggregation tab.

Hi all,
Now it is working but the result is not what I expected. For example, this report period is to display Net sales value from 01/2006-03/2006(monthly) by customers. There is one column-'overall result' next to the column-Net sales value(period 03/2006). I only need one more column which will show % of total Net sales value for each custome. But I have % of total net sales value in each month for each customer. Can someone tell me how to resolve it? Thanks.

Bex report to report interface dynamically based on Value in the query

Hi,
Is it possible to change the destination of the report to report interface dynamically based on the data of the bex query?
For example my query has the below data
Plant | KPI | Quantity
P1 | A | 20.00
P2 | B | 25.00
When the user selects KPI A I want to navigate to Query 1, and when KPI B is selected to Query 2. Query 1 and Query 2 have completely different layouts, Instead of create to two destinations is it possible to pick one based on the KPI selected.
Is this possible in Bex report to report interface or any other way.

Bex Query Exception Not Appearing In Bex Report

I have a created an exception in a Bex Query and built a report using the Bex Report Designer. But the exceptions that work fine in the query dont seem to work once I've embedded the query in a report. Is this right? is it not possible to use exceptions in a report or do I need to turn something on etc?
Any help much apreciated.

Hi Joel,
Pls refer the OSS # 331772 reg. this limitation. Exceptions if applied will not be dynamic in RD.
Report designer is a flat structure. You cannot collapse or expand the static columns. Hence, Conditions/Exceptions are not supported in Report Designer. You may try alternatively in WAD. It will surely work in WAD for formatted web based reports.

RFC connection Error While run BEx Report

Hi All
I got BI 7.0 and create new user with roles only access: TR: RRMX to see only BEx Reporting... I create basically new customize role and put only one transcation code RRMX and assigned to user...
When goto BEx designer I got that error
rfc error received user has no rfc authorization for function group syst.
I am not sure what kind of authrouzation user need to only view BEx Reporting...
But when I put SAP_ALL in that profile same user, thats works fine, but I don't want to give SAP_ALL to user...
2nd question same look like BEx Analyzer the side bar when I click open nothing happend and it writedown like German language..

I am Angeline again, I resolved that problem and want to shair with you guys....
1.     Tr: PFCG and click on Maintain roles
2.     Role Name: Z_RUN_QUERIES
3.     Click on Authorization Tab Saved Entry
4.     In Edit mode Select the template: S_RS_RREPU and adopt reference (Business Content)
5.     Expand u2018Business Explorer u2013 Componentsu2019
6.     Selected: u201CType of a reporting component Calculated key figure, query restricted
7.     key figure u2013 template structure and click on Edit
8.     Un-Check REP Query
9.     Generate the Profile
10.     Create Transport number
11.     click on user TAB and define user name in it
12.     click User compare and complete compare and saved the entry
13.     TR: SU01 in User click on Roles and define Z_RUN_QUERIES and profile

Header and Footer in a BEx report

Hi Everyone,
I have a requirement where I need to provide a space for the user to sign-off with their name and signature at the bottom of the print-out of a BEx report. For this purpose I need to provide a space at the bottom of the report where the user can write their names and sign-off. It should be something like:
Name: _________________________________-
Signature: _______________________________
Date: ___________________________________
Is there some way I can add all this as the footer text in the BEx query?

If the BEx query can use a "structure" in the rows section....
Under last row, add a selection = company code, set it not equal to the company code, & change the description =
NAME: ____________________________________________
Then, copy the above row, but change description to =
SIGNATURE: _____________________________________
Repeat, copy the above row, change description =
DATE: ____________________________________
If you want to add blank lines, copy one of these rows, but change description = a period = .
By setting the restriction <> to the real company code, then that row should be blank straight across, except for the description.
A better/more professional looking option is to put the BEx query into a web template, add 3 HTML rows under the query result table, add text per your specs. Then save web template to the appropriate role/folder to publish it on the portal.

Header and Footer in BEX reporting

Hai friends,
     could you plz tell me how to add Header and Footer in Bex report.. that means.. i want some my company name and address should print on the top of the report..
and also.. in the Footer. i want to display the Number of records are selected...
Ex :
   XYZ ORGANIZATION
   #301, ITPL,
   BANGALORE.
4 Records are selected
so, plz give me the solution .... how to   design a query with this requirement

Hi Ajay,
Refer to web tempaltes 0adhoc_header and 0adhoc_Footer , by changing this you should be able to display header and footer for each query out of BW server.

BEx Report Performance with selection-screen input

Hello Gurus,
My Bex report is working fine when the report had run with out PLANT filter in the selection-screen but when report had run with plant in the selection-screen , report running for forever.
Please let me know what I need to do improve the performance.

Hi Saleem, Just a few thoughts;
1. Check the M-table in RSD1 for 0PLANT. In Table View edit any blank or null values. Run the same restrictions you apply in the query at Info provider level > Display Data. If there's any lapse; you can judge where exactly the problem lies.
2. If you are using Infocube & that your master is >20% fact; you can declare the Info object as 'Line Item Dimension'.
3. Create Variants. Esp. if you are running the query for same set of data. Try Variable Preselection: You can restrict both the values + varaiables in the filter level. When you execute the values will be visibly pre-selected in selection screen.
4. As discussed in previous messages, running a SQL trace using RSRT may prove useful.

Bex Report Performance

Dear Friends,
I would like to know is the complex authorizations can also cause the Bex report performance.
One of my scenerio is like there are two users A & B
A is having relevant authorizations for reporting, Drill down etc which are required.
B is having SAP All authorization.
When the same report has been executed by both users on the same system.
the data retrieved by user B(SAP_ALL authorization) is quite faster than User A.
Its like ther diffference of about 10 minutes.
There are some exsclude selections in report.
So my conclusion is like the complex authorizations do also hampers the query performance.
Please confirm & share your views.

     Can you help us understand what was the exact problem and how you resolved it / solution at Extraction / Modeling / Reporting end.
     I have a quite similiar issue with my report i have Header + Item report on Infoset
u2022     Header report takes seconds and item report takes minutes
u2022     The same report executed with exact parameter has inconsistent performance results meaning one time it takes 1 minutes next time same report same user and same authorization takes 5 minutes.
    Any help on this would be really greatfull. Suspecting is not an issue with the report at all , as no changes happened between the pre and post check.
_Additional Information : _
We Create Secondary -Bitmap index every week end i do not see that is one of the route cause.
Except that we have our regular daily loads that are running for master data loads and transaction data loads in series.

Strange performance issue in bex report

Hello Experts,
I have a performance issue on my bex report.
I'm running the report with below selection criteria and getting 'too much data' error.
Country : equals EMEA
Category: not equlas 13
Date : 02/2010 to 12/2010.
But when I ran the report for smaller date ranges the number of records are not exceeding 13000.
02.2010 - 06.2010 - 6,555 rows
07.2010 - 09.2010 - 3,671 rows
10.2010 - 12.2010 - 2,780 rows
I know excel can't fit more than 65000 records, but I'm expecting 13000 records for my wide date range which excel can easily fit.
Any ideas on this one will be appreciated.

Hi,
For Question 1:
In query designer Go to the Query properties and select the tab "Variable Sequence", here you can set the order of variables as per you requirement.
For Question 2:
There will be a option "Hide Repeated Key values", if you uncheck this option then you will have the values for each row even though the material values are same.
Note; if you are viewing the report in web or WAD report you need to make the same changes in the Web template also because the settings in the query designer will be overridden when you run the query in web.

Issue with Bex report - key Figures not populating correctly.

Hi Experts,
I am facing an issue with a Bex report. There are three key figures of data type DATE having "Dec - Counter or amount field with comma and sign" datatype. After executing the query, in the report, for some sales documents the key figure fields are coming as 'X' and rest others are coming correctly in the date format as mm\dd\yyyy.
When i check in the cube, these key figures shows values in decimal format and not in date format. The conversion is happening during execution.
Pleas show me some light on how to identify the cause of getting 'X' for some Sales documents in the report eventhough some are coming correctly.

Hi,
The infobject has been defined with datatype "DATE" only. It has also been mapped from datasource to infocube correctly as these key figures are populating correctly for some of the sales documents in the report. It is not like that for all the sales documents the key figures are not converting properly.
Some Sales documents are not converting into the date fields but for some conversion happens properly in the BEx report. This is the issue.
Please guide accordingly.

I am getting the following error message when I try to add a data provider (Query) to BEx Report Designer:
RSBOLAP 017 Java Communication Error: RFC destination NOT_CONFIGURED does not exist

Automated execution and mailing of BeX reports

Hi,
I have a requirement which goes like this:
There is a report which gives a P&L statement for a cost center. Say I have one parent Cost Center Group and there are 100 Cost Centers within that group. The report allows the user to select variants based on the cost center. So they have to execute this report every month for 100 different cost centers in order to generate a P&L for each cost center.
Now the users want some sort of automated way to execute the reports every month for each cost center within a cost center group and then the results (XL based) delivered to them through email. The mail should contain workbooks or BeX reports.
Is it possible to implement this? If yes then how can this be achieved?
We are running BW 3.5.

Do you have some document on how to use the RSCRM_BAPI transaction?
everytime I try to run an extract it generates an error "No authorization to create extract /BIC/0CYYNIKTEST of type Table"
and when I try to execute the query - it generates an OLAP error in a key figure.
The query is quite complexin the sense that it uses structures in both the rows & columns sections and also uses all possible types of variables and also hs built in variants already.
I would be grateful if you can send across some document on the transaction. I would have posted docs & screenshots of the query, but there is no way in SDn to do that.

Make the link from the single cell of Bex Report and the image of bill

Hi guys,
my client scan every bill and archive the image by File.net technology.
In our Bex Report we have the Bill number and we want to make the link from the single cell and the image of bill.
The possible paths to solve the problem are:
Replicate the image in BW and crate a link from the single cell and the image of document.
Create an URL link from the single cell and the image of document archived on File.net server.
In witch way we can to implement the two paths?
