BI Admin Cockpit Drill down routing to unknown host

Hi Experts,
We have implmented BI Admin Cockpit and testing it. When we try to drill down the query, it is opening in a seperate window and the host of the url is different than actual system. This shows Bad Gateway error. How to change this to actual host and do it.

Hi Suresh,
Do you mean that if you right click on any query, select goto -> opitons like display infocube, object overview etc, the url of different system is getting open . If thats the case, ask Basis team to look into it.
Show them the url, they will get hint from it.

SEM Cockpit Drill Down Parameters are Missing

Dear Team,
I am facing a strange problem with BW-SEM Cockpit - we had imp. the SEM
Cockpit a year ago and it was working fine with all drill down parameter within
the internal web. but suddenly for some reason, all my cockpit KPI graphs are
not showing the drill down parameters, I have checked my settings of each KPI
for parameters, all are intact, no changes..
But how come it is happing all of sudden..?
guys kindly throw some light on this issue if any one of you have come across
this situation..or any std. proposals/recomended sol. are welcome.

Managment cockpit(drill down settings)

Hi friends,
At frame level i want to drill down on particular characterstic eg: region(zregion). what setting i have to made inorder to see 'zregion' field in defining: "Drill down settings"(inside screen, left side list of characterstics) for management cockpit? In selection criteria while defining frame, do i have to give all region values in order to select one of region values through "parameters" option?
Actually i'm displyaing expenses, eg: exp1 & exp2 on month wise. User wants to see on regionwise these two expenses in the same graphic frame. I want to give through "parameters" option. How can i achieve this?

Hi friends,
upto some extent i got required things. I included characterstic 'zregion' in selection criteria step with set of 4 values while designing a frame in cockpit. Now i'm able to see field 'zregion' in drilldown setting option(left side pane of characterstics) and then dragged to right side pane for allowing drill down in frame. Next at presentation mode of frame(cockpit), in for month wise(x-axis,chart type: colon chart) able to see with two expenses. After that i want to drll down on expenses using "parameters" option, it displays list of regions for drill-down. But if i selected any region, it won't show respective regionwise expenses. How can i achieve this?

Drill down in BI Admin cockpit

Friends,
I successfully installed and setup BI admin cockpit.
In the portal , when I clicked on Data Load Status-> and then
Process Status, it lists process chains and processes in different iVews.
when I move the cursor over a process chain, the cursor turns to thumb. But if click on that, it is not talking to another screen. I'm not able to drill down on any tab/items.
Please help.

Drill-down (navigation) in BI Administrator Cockpit

We have installed BI Admin Cockpit on all the newest SPSes. But the strange problem is that I cannot do any drill-down / navigation on displayed standard reports (running in portal). BW context menu just do not pop-up when I right-click on report's element, like characteristic. Is it how it should be? I remember BI Admin Cockpit from almost year ago, and I think it allowed drilling...
Another - less important - question is what should be the BW version of queries and webtemplates used in BI Admin Cockpit? Again, I remember year ago they were 3.5. Now it seems that queries from content are 7.0 and webtemplates are neither 3.5 (thay contain xhtml tags) not 7.0 (you cannot open them in new new WebAD).

Ideally you should be able to get it from table
Frontend & OLAP Statistics:

You should get following statistics-
Average Query Runtimes
Predefined runtime categories
Drilldown to navigation step
Monitor query activity

Could anybody simply explain what is meaning of drill down in managment cockpit?
1. How many levels of drill down, one can provide drill-down in a frame?
2. Can we drill down from monthly to calday wise, year to date,month to date and quarter to date?
3. How can i use calmonth in interval representaion in selection criteria of a frame (cockpit design)?

BI admin cockpit - how to install the BI content Web templates

Hi Gurus,
We have installed BI admin cockpit. we have also installed Bex required queries. now I wanted to install all web templates (SAP format 3.x) in BI content. after installing I checked WAD but I cannot see them their also when I go to metadata repository I cannot see templates, I only see this message:
"Object '0QUERY_TEMPLATE' (0QUERY_TEMPLATE) of type 'Web Template (Format SAP BW 3.x)' is not available in version 'A'"
Is it maybe we are on SAP 7.01, what would be the steps to install the web templates successfully?

If you have installed Admincockpit , then the corresponding web templates should be available in the system .
1. Anyways if the web-templates are missing , then try to run the admincockpit installation once more using the
tcode - RSTCC_INST_BIAC and check whether you get the webtempaltes in 'A' version or not .
2. If the webtemplates are still not available , then you can install them manually in tcode - RSORBCT.
a> Go to tcode - RSORBCT.
b> Locate the field Query Elements . Drill down to Query and then select "Select Objects".
c> In the new pop-up window , locate the "Business Information Warehouse" and then drill down to "BI Statistics".
d> You can find all the Statistics infoproviders under "BI Statistics" and the queries build upon them .
e> Select all the queries for a particular infoprovider and then select transfer .
f> After the required queries have been transferred to the third window , select the option 'DataFlow Before and AFterwards' under the Grouping Tab .
g> After the grouping has been done , you can check that the web templates associated with the query have been collected .
h> Then choose install .
i> Repeat these steps for all the Statistics infoproviders .
j> This will make all the statistics webtemplates available.
k> As the Statistics webtemplates are 3.x , you can execute them in SE38 report - RS_TEMPLATE_MAINTAIN for testing .

Web Analysis does not drill down (Essbase datasource)

I have a web analysis document which does not drill down to next level when double clicking on a parent level. In my report I have children of Area dimension selected individually and their parent on rows ( this means I have not used selection where I select only top member and its children; this is because one of the children should not be in the report). This is not an security issue, because I have admin rights to the essbase cube.
Usually when double-clicking on a member in report it should drill down to next level. This report does not drill down.
The strange thing is that if I select "Keep Only" for the top member of that dimension and then double-click it then drills down nicely???
When using a excel add-in and retrieving data there the same kind of report drills down without problems. Any ideas why this drill down does not work properly in Workspace (and also in Web Analysis Stuidio) ?

Hi!
I checked out the dimension in question. It seems to have implied shares (parent having only one child). There seems to be implied shares in almost all child hierarchies which might explain the web analysis behaviour.
We are using V11. The application is an aggregate storage application.

Drill Down in Map Report

I've been trying to get drill down reporting working in a map report I've created an can't seem to get things to behave properly. So far, I've done everything I've read in several posts, but yet drill don still isn't functional.
Here's what I've done:
- Downloaded esri file from online and imported the spatial data in my SQL Server
- Created a map report using spatial data as a source for the map. I also have a dataset based on an Analysis Services query...Sales by State. Each figure has a corresponding state abbreviation. Below is the map report. The map report takes one parameter:
Year. The report is a color analytical map. Colors vary based on sales amount and year.
Below is the map display:
I have a second report called SalesByState that takes two parameters: State and Year.
What I would like to happen is when a user clicks on a state, they are taken directly to the report that lists detail information based on the year and the state chosen in the first map report. The year isn't getting passed to the second report nor is the
state clicked on.
When I set up the Action tab in the Polygon Properties dialog, I'm not seeing the dataset values as available as a parameter. When trying to give an expression for the state parameter, I get an error:
=First(Fields!STUSPS.Value, "SQLSpatialData") saying "Unknown Collection Member".
The STUSPS field is the state abbreviation.
Not sure what I'm missing here!

Please refer to the steps below:
Subreport:
Add two datasets in the report: Spatial data, ContactState.
Add a parameter in the report named SpatialData. Please refer to the following Available Values:
Dataset: Spatial data
Value field: STUSPS
Label field: STUSPS
Add a table in the report fill with specify data.
Right click the table, select Tablix Properties.
Click Visibility in the left pane. Select “Show or hide based on an expression” option, and type following expression:
=IIF(Parameters!STUSPS.Value="ID" ,False,True)
(Note: It is use parameter’s value to control the tablix visibility.)
Main report:
Based on your map design, click the PointLayer arrow in the Map Layers dialog box, select Point Properties.
Click Action in the left pane. Select “Go to report” option.
Select the specific subreport below “Specify a report”.
Click Add, please refer to these values below:
Name: SpatialData (Subreport Parameter’s name) Value: [STUSPS]

Journal Line can not drill down (Solved)

When I check one journal and want to dirlldown, the system said this function isn't available for my responsibility. Can someone help me on this and tell me where to assign the drilldown function to a responsibility?

Hi,
There are functions linked with GL drill down like AR invoices view, AP payments view etc.
Please see the default menu and add those functions to your menu.
You can find your menu under your responsibility in Responsibility Screen of Sys admin.

Drill down on shared members.

I have some filters associated to geography hierarchy in my essbase cube.
my geography heirarchy looks like this.
geography
|_base_members
|_am
|_Apac
|_shared_members
|_am (Alias: America) (shared members)
|_ ..etc
|_Apac (Alias: Asia pac) (shared members)
now i have created filters giving meta read access on shared members in the above case on .users of america will only see america region.
but when i drill down and drill up on the member in the report in web analysis, it gives me an unknown member error "am".
i tried by giving same access to the base members but the report shows the base members.
is there any other way to handle this error.

Try deleting Non-Corporate Income before you drill into Total Revenue. Or turn off Retain selected member in your drill options. The problem is that if Essbase sees Non-Corporate Income, then it knows it is the alternate roll up and correctly does not drill on Total Revenue. Remove Non-Corporate Income and Total Revenue, just becomes plain old Total Revenue and you should be able to drill on that.

Drill down problem in EC-CS when moved 4.7c to ECC 5.0

We are still using EC-CS and upgraded to ECC 5.0.
We have customised report for consolidated BS and income.While running the report thru GR55, we come across a screen ( during drill down ) which is like CX34, we can see that the dimension and version field is blank.We fill the values and excute , get error that "local currency of cons unit 123xx is not maintained " . Now we run cx34 in another session, populate the dimension , version etc. Go back to the report and there is no error. Has any one faced similar problem ?

I have used the GR55 reports to compare the extracted data in BCS with R/3.
Why he can not access the transaction code.. ask him to contact security admin to resolve it.

Drill down issue ON ESSBASE

the mutipdatasoure is ESSBASE 11.1.1.2
In Essbase databases we use the “code” as the Member name and the “description” in the Alias, when we click the Alias name in answer for drill down horizontally, it will generate the following error message, maybe the Alias column lead to this problem and do not find the exact value in ESSBASE member name. How to solve this issue?

In physical layer, we change member name into Alias default in display column area.

Technical content activation for BI STAT and Admin cockpit

Hi friends,
I am going to setup the IMG call for BI STAT and Admin cockpit. If i run the technical content activation will i need a precaution for other data loading. If i run them in background does it affects other data loads. did i need to take down time for the whole system?
After the implemntation did i need to load data for all infoproviders in quality system.

I am not clear on all your questions.
In general, technical content process chains load data similiar to other BI process chains.
if your system is productive for a longer period already ( > 6 months ), there may be a lot of
BI statistics data generated and this will take a longer time to load the technical content cubes during the initial load.
Otherwise, it should not affect system performance.
It is better to schedule them daily to avoid huge data loads.
But these are only guidelines. It depends on your need.
You would need to do separately for quality and production system, if you want the BI stats in those systems. This is similiar to any other Data load and cube and content in BI.

User should drill down up to a certain level in obiee

Hi,
We have a requirement that a user should be able to drill down only up to certain level.
We have hirarchy level region, country, state and city. A user should be able to drill down all the levels and some users should be able to drill down only upto certainlevel.
I understand that there is some index column functionality for this. Apart from this can any one tell me how to restrict a user to drill down up to a certain level.
