Bid Invitation update

Hi all,
we have to update Bid Invitation but did not find an appropriate BAPI (there are only "create" and "getdetail" bapi's in the system). E.g. we have found the fm BBP_PD_BID_UPDATE, but not sure that it is a right one.
Regards,
Olga

Hello Olga,
there is no BAPI for Bid Inv update.
BBP_PD_BID_UPDATE is not a BAPI, but an SRM internal function (with internal structures and not BAPI ones).
You can create your own Z function, encapsulating BBP_PD_BID_GETDETAIL/UPDATE/SAVE + COMMIT.

  • Bug in bid invitation weighting change/update

Have you realized there seems to be bug in weighting the bid invitation?
If you copy an old bid invitation to make a new one the weightings come
along. There's nothing wrong in that, but when you change the header weighting
and add one line item and change the weighting to add up to 100%
it doesn't update to the system. New weighting % is shown on the screen, but it
is not used in the calculation.
Weighting between lines and header seem to add up to 100% when you calculate
the numbers shown in the screen, but when you click "check" button you get a error as if the header weighting is not updated.
There also seems to be some confusion how the line weightings are updated when you add new item.
I know my this seems like a very confusing thread, but there is really no logic how the system "behaves" in this matter.
Have anyone else realized this, or even better have you found a note to fix this?

  • SRM 4.0 - Upload function of Bid Invitations (Bidding Engine)

    Hello,
I am currently working on the Bidding Engine in SRM 4.0
I would very much like to use the Download/Upload function in Bid Invitations, but for now I have the feeling it doesn’t work.
I tested it by downloading a Bid Invitation and changing just one info like an item quantity or description. I put “U” (for “Update”) in the corresponding cell of the “Change” column. I also held the bid invitation in SRM before returning to it to upload the modified Excel-file.
When I upload the Excel file, I don’t have any error messages, but no changes are done either.
Does anyone of you have an idea how I could make it work?
    Thanks!
    Andrea

    Hi,
    Please do the following things.
Excel updown/download is very flexible functionality.
    (BADI : BBP_PD_DOWNLOAD)
    1. You can change the format (how the document should be downloaded, which fields : Control variants in BBPC_UP_DOWNLOAD table)
    2. You can also upload file (your own format : implement parsing method)
    3. You can add your own fields. (APPEND_UPLOAD_DATA)
We are working on one such scenario for Contract Upload.
You can also check the following notes.
There is a SAP Note on downloading BID file.
Note 734060 - SRM: Upload and download of documents using MS Excel
They have given one example in this note. This is a consulting note, you will find it
Two more notes which can help you
    734060

    I hope it will help.

  • Bidder Not able to filter Bid Invitations with custom fields

    Dear Community,
    Need some ABAP help.
Know many experts are in our community.
We have added 3 custom fields to the Bid Invitation and Bid header
Coded Badi BBP_CUF_BADI_2 for them to appear in the Search criteria for Find Bid Invitation for both the logins(purchaser and bidder).
The custom fields now appear in the Extended search for both.
These custom fields extract values from custom tables.
But we found that the search criteria seems to be filtering Bid Invitations only in the Process Bid Invitation screen(Find Bid Invitation) of the purchaser login.
    Template:       bbp_bid_inv/99/saplbbp_bid_inv_1010.html
And NOT filtering Bid Invitations in the Process Bid screen(Find Bid Invitations and Auctions) of the Bidder login.
    bbp_quot/99/saplbbp_quot_ui_its_1010.html
The ABAPer has already incuded the custom fields in structures INCL_EEW_PD_HEADER_CSF_BID and INCL_EEW_PD_HEADER_CSF_QUOT,
What is required in addition so that the search criteria will work in the Bidder login as well??
    Thanks in Advance,
    Dinesh
    (Will appreciate with points)

    Thanks, Disha.
    We have alreday activated BBP_WF_LIST
and tried some code in method
    BBP_WF_LIST_SOCO
    but did not help us.
Can you suggest any specific code to try?
You are right for template modification for values of this custom fields.
If we do that Bidder CAN filter the BI correctly with these values of custom fields.
But customer does not want that way because in future the values would be changing.
and so it would be an additional task to correct templates.
Also they have to redo these changes with every upgrade.
So we are fetching the values from custom tables for these custom fields.
Would like to again draw the attention towards purchaser's search with these custom fields.
Why purchaser can search correctly with these custom fields fetching values from custom tables?
Can we debug or take any hint from there?
    Any futher thoughts?

  • BAPI_BIDEC_CREATE - Bid Invitation Create - External System

There appears to be a SRM function and BAPI that can be used to create Bid invitation programmatically.  They are:  BBP_PD_BID_CREATE and BAPI_BIDEC_CREATE.
    Questions :
    1.  Is the BAPI_BIDEC_CREATE used if creating Bid Invitations from an external systems (i.e. ECC 5.0)?
    2.  If BAPI_BIDEC_CREATE is not for this purpose, is BBP_PD_BID_CREATE the correct one to use?
    3.  For both BAPI_BIDEC_CREATE and BBP_PD_BID_CREATE when creating a Bid Invitation (the GUIDs are not yet created) the Item Long Text structure does not have item number included.  It has the Item GUID but during a create you donu2019t know what it is.    Is the following the correct process for using this BAPI/function and if not, please correct?
    Create the Bid Invitation:
         1.  Call BAPI_BIDEC_CREATE   (do not provide the item long text or delivery schedule information)
         2.  Call BBPU_COMMIT_AND_WAIT
Call the BAPI again with the GUIs returned in the E_ structures to update item long text and delivery schedules:
         3.   Call BAPI_BIDEC_CREATE    with known GUIs for the items or is there a different function to call for the change to add additional long texts to each item
         4.  Call BBPU_COMMIT_AND_WAIT

    Requirement has probably long gone and potentially you've resolved the problem but for the benefit of others;
In order to differentiate between Header and Item data within structure I_BID_TEXT you need to use field PARENT_GUID. The value here is not necessarily the parent of the BID Invitation but the parent of the text i.e. header or item.
    for example;
    I_BID_HEADER_CUST
    PARENT_GUID
    DF1203499AF874F1AB76000D6098290C
    I_BID_ITEMS

    I_BID_TEXT
    PARENT_GUID......................................TEXT..TEXT_LINE
DF1203499AF874F1AB76000D6098290C   HTXT   testing bidder text      -> Header Bidder Text
DF1203499AF874F1AB76000D6098290C   NOTE   testing internal note   -> Header Internal Note
DF12037B3803EDF1AB76000D6098290C   NOTE   Testing internal note  -> Item Internal Note

  • Querry on Bid Invitation processing and comparision

    Hi
Can anyone tell me how to get multiple line items in a Bid comparision list if a bidder has sent the multiple line items .
where are they are viewed at the time of display Bid fuctionality.
I would like to see all the line items which one bidder has sent to the purchaser .Because currently only first line item is only getting displayed.
Can anyone please  suggest  what has to be done on this point.

    Hi,
    1. make sure email set up is done as per note 455140. To send e-mails after bid is published  for the bid invitation transaction 'BID' attach relevant event schema. This will take care of sending mails whenver bid invitation is published or changed.
    2. Provide the role  BBP_EC_SUS_BIDDER to the bidders to enable them to see bid invitaions and send bids from SUS portal.  For this you also need to enable SSO (single sign on) between  EBP and SUS. Please refer the below link for further information.
sending RFQs from SRM EBP to SRM SUS
    3. It is possible to down load the Bid invitation. Further update the mail  id of the bidder with your id so that you can receive the bid invitation smartform. This you can take a print out and send it to bidders. You can make config setting in SPRO 'define actions for document output' to send the   bid invitation smartform.

  • Bid Invitation (Notification and Output)

    Hi Gurus,
I have no clue how to manage Output / Messages for Bid Invitations. I need the system to do the following:
    1) Send email notification to Bidders in the bid invitation and also a notification when I make changes to the bid Invitation - How and where do I configure the message
    2) Post a notification on a portal
    3) Print the bid Invitation with all the attributes (to bidders who cannot respond electronicaly), so that the same can be posted to the vendor and then the purchase can perform surrogate bidding.

    Thanks and regards

    Hi Kirk,
So, you need to know the name of the char that you should include as external char for a hierarchy.
    Try the following.
    1. In SLG1 find the log related to the hierarchy upload. Look at the error details. Maybe you'll find there the name.
    2. Look in your SRM system at the 0BBP_BIGURE herarchy. What are the other infoobjects you see there?
    3. In SRM system execute RSA3 tcode in debug mode. Try to figure out what infoobjects names the system offers.
    Best regards,

  • Upload SRM Bid Invitations

    Hi,
We are trying to upload the bid invitations( downloaded and modified the price) in SRM 5.0 system, we are not able to upload the changes back into system.( Not getting any error messages, when uploaded into system)
Any documentation around uploading the SRM documents and any special configuration required for this.
    Thank you
    Sreedhar Vetcha

    Hi Sreedhar Vetcha,
this functionality is not quite comfortable, but it works. You need to use the indicator U (update), D (delete), A (add) to adjust the document per line.
Have a look into notes 790860, 734060 and 812884 as well 734936 how to use that feature.
    Cheers,

  • Create Bid Invitation response in background

    Hi All,
We have to create bid invitation response (from the vendor side ) in the background , not using the standard SRM screen and this program should update the bid invitation the customer has created.
Is there any way to do this?
    Points will be awarded.

. You can use standard SAP function modules for this. Please refer this thread for full details:
