Bill is wrong every month

My bill has been wrong every month for the last 7 months. This month it is wrong by $585. When I talk to Verizon they say it will be taking care of, but when I check my account nothing is done. So, I call back and the agent says that I see the notes stating it should be credited but the previous agent did fill out any forms and process it.. When asked to speak to supervisor they say none available and they will call be back, which never happens. I am promised by every agent I speak to that they will take care of the problem and it does not happen.
Anyone else having this problem?

May I ask what are the reason(s) they've giving your for the over charge to begin with?  Are they saying that you've exceeded your monthly limits in any capacity?  Fail to return an EDGE device?  What are the particulars?

    Mine always changes within a few tens of cents of each other every month. The only thing that changes is taxes, but no one has ever been able to explain to me why the slight variation.

    It happens the first time 6 months ago, at this time I thought that it was a "pirat attack" because my password was an old one with only 4 numbers...
    Now it is a long one but it doesn't change anything.
    Is there anyone aware of this ?

  • I am being harassed by customer service the day after my bill is due every month.

    At least 6 phone calls every day, beginning at 5am, followed by text messages. All you have to you is tell me once, via text, that my payment is due. I indicated on my Verizon Wireless account online that my preferred method of contact is text message. I do not appreciate the harassment, as a customer of 11 years, who always pays the bill without disconnection. Here's a novel idea - Leave me a voicemail, automated or not, and you will get the message across. Of course I'm not going to answer the phone at 5am, but that is no reason to call me every 2 hours for the rest of the day! Calling every 2 hours is not going to magically make more money appear in my bank account. Yesterday it was 5:43am, 9:10am, 10:21am, and 11:24am. I answered the one at 11:24am to indicate to the service rep that I was planning to pay my bill the following day, but just waiting for a check to clear in my bank account. When the service rep actually picked up from the automated calling system, it sounded like she was on an airplane rifling through a big stack of papers in a microphone. I couldn't hear a single thing she said, and just tried to yell over the background noise that I was paying my bill the next day. Finally I had to tell her that I was hanging up because I couldn't hear hear at all. Today so far I've been called at 5:43am, 7:36am, 9:36am. I paid my bill at 9:30, and just got another call at 10:07am and 10:14am. No voicemails, of course. I do not appreciate this treatment, and it disgusts me to be harassed on this level. It's inhuman.

    mrhelper If I am paying my bill late, it does not mean I am deserving of harassment. It means I deserve to be called and notified of my late payment and asked for said payment. It does not mean I deserve calls every 2 hours beginning at 5am. I'm talking about harassment here. It is illegal for a debt collector to harass you under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). It does not mean that you don't still owe the money, but it means you are entitled to being treated like a human being about it. There are laws being broken here. I'm filling out a report with the FTC, and hopefully they will consider changing their methods of contacting their customers. My phone has never been disconnected, but yes, I have delayed the payment a few days past due before. Sometimes the money just isn't there on the exact day the bill is due, but I always pay it. Such was the case this month. I am on a road trip across the country, have no access to my bank, and had to wait for a paycheck to clear from across the country. There was nothing I could do except wait. My snarky response to anyone else is because the point is being missed about my complaint. I didn't write this forum post to get lectured about being responsible about my bills. I wrote this post because I am reaching a dead end with contacting Verizon Wireless customer service directly. They seem to pigeonhole you into using their social media outlets. Instead of hearing from Verizon Wireless directly, I hear from people who are just trolling this forum to be mean to people.

    Your bill closing date and bill due date are the same every month. Log into your MyVerizon account to see if there is a setting for paper bills. Or you could call CS to request it.

  • How do I get Verizon to stop sending me FOUR bill envelopes every month?

    We have tried, without success, over the last 9 months, to stop Verizon from using so many trees to send us redundant bills in four separate billing envelopes each and every month.  The customer service reps keep assuring us that this will be taken care of and we'll only get one bill in one envelope.  They tell us it will take up to two billing cycles for this to take effect -- we have been told this THREE times now!!  It's just extremely frustrating to try and enact an eco-friendly change in their billing behaviors and be totally ignored.  It's also quite annoying that the customer service reps keep telling us that they'll CHANGE this behavior and it never changes.  Again, four envelopes (only one of which we need to pay our bill) arrived in the mail yesterday, three billing cycles after the last time one of Verizon's employees told us this wouldn't happen.  Have any other customers tried (in vain) to get this rectified?
    I also don't appreciate that the money I send Verizon is being used to churn out additional paper that is totally unnecessary plus they get to pay the postage on these redundant envelopes going through the mail as well.  It's madness!!

    I was just about to say the same thing tns.  I just went paperless myself and that's the simplest.  The paper bill is just a duplicate anyway of your bill that you can view on line.

    I am working on a payment system for a boarding house and I am having hard time to generate automatically a new bill for each boarders every month.
    here are the columns for my "billing" table.
    bill_no (primary key)
    due_date
    arrears
    rent_month (month of the bill, e.g. "bill for the month of november")
    rental_id (primary key of the table "rentals")
    boarder_id (primary key of the table "boarder')
    boarder_id is a foreign key of both the "billing" and "rentals" table
    rental_id is a foreign key of "billing" table.
    please help me make a trigger (i think) that would automatically create a new billing every month.

    I am looking into developing an app for the App Store and my question is regarding Apple's 30% in app purchase fee.  If my application is free to download, but requires my user to purchase a monthly subscription, will Apple collect a 30% fee every month that user is billed?  Or will Apple only collect a 30% fee for the first month?  If so, is there anyway around this?

    Any in-app purchases are subject to the 30% withholding.
    No way around it.
    Amazon purchases are physical items (not digital) and do not go through in-app purchase so they are exempt.

  • Does anyone else have a bill that is a different ammount every month

    My bill this month is $13 higher than last month. I was told by the condescending customer service last month that I could expect to pay withing a few cents the same amount every month. Surprise! $13 higher this month and customer service told me it was due to my local taxes fluctuating. I don't have time to call customer service every month and don't feel like I should have to. I was so happy with Verizon for years and now can't wait for my contract to expire so I can find an honest alternative if such a thing exists.

    Have you looked at your detailed bill to determine what the additional charge was?
    My bill does not fluctuate much, +/- $0.10 each month.
    I would definitely check to see if that additional charge was for a premium text which normally run $9.99. With tax, that could account for almost all of the additional charge. If it was for a premium text, you should be able to call CS and have it removed if you did not in fact authorize it. At the same time, I would have premium texts blocked from you line.

    Sounds like a problem with your carrier. Contact your carrier to find out why your data level was not updated.
